This Disease is Deadlier Than The Plague All Links, sources & further reading: https://ift.tt/BuYh8Cb This video was made possible through a grant by Gates Ventures. The white death has haunted humanity like no other disease following us for thousands, maybe millions of years. In the last 200 years it killed a billion people – way more than all wars and natural disasters combined. Even today it’s the infectious disease with the highest kill count. Apparently H wants Invictus to be like the Special Olympics and Paralympics, but bigger.
I have contacts within relevant companies etc. due to my work in sport diversity and inclusion efforts. He has been laughed at, and sponsors are dwindling too, as again I know sports sponsorships and deals from my work and what has been said is that he (and she) are asking for OTT amounts of money for themselves and want accommodation etc. covered in full too.
Invictus is, from a contact I have within it, going bankrupt and basically money laundering. Athletes were left struggling due to financial mismanagement by Invictus. BetterUp was forced on them by Harry and not one of the teams want to partner with them either. The teams all have their own psychologists, therapists and doctors who know their athletes and were told to cough up the money for the deal with BetterUp too. Also Harry did not like Willem-Alexander and was extremely backhanded towards him, and didn’t like sharing with him.
Harry thinks he is the new Eunice Kennedy. He regurgitates information not knowing what he’s talking about and investors are extremely alarmed, it is turning into a shill for him and Meghan. He doesn’t care about the athletes or anything, it’s all about him. But he is more a Charles Ponzi, Elizabeth Holmes, Tom Petters, Bernie Madoff. He is shady and he is dirty. When it’s coming out about his connections with Russian oligarchs, believe them as via hidden means that is how he is getting funds.
A few of my journalist contacts were at Soho House funnily enough in Amsterdam, and Meghan did not leave to return to California, she was there and she was drunk. She only left mid week. Both of them were there throughout the games and repeatedly drinking, partying and were joined by Scobie and Martin. She gets violent when drunk though, and mocked a Dutch waitress, which from what my journalist contact said, was getting eyes from a drunk Harry.
So yeah Invictus isn’t expected to survive, is deep in shady business and the marriage doesn’t seem good at all… she hated being near him and ignored athletes wanting to talk to her.
Anon, thank you for the Tea on IG. I was being hyperbolic when I said last week that IG was probably going bankrupt, I hate that I was right. Also I kid you not I told a friend on here that I did not think M flew back to the US on that Monday like she was supposed to, it was obvious since no one on her team or around her mentioned that she did. Her makeup artist posted pics from Soho House in Amsterdam a couple of days later and that's when I knew my suspicions were correct. Again, thank you for the tea*

Oh hey! It’s [ JUDE NOLAN. 30. MALE. HE/HIM ]. They’ve lived in Silver Lake for [ 2 WEEKS ] and are originally from [ NEW YORK CITY, NY ]. They are a [ LEAD SINGER AND MUSIC PRODUCER ] and in their downtime love [ WEED & CHILL ] and [ BEING A LITERAL MAN CHILD ]. They look a lot like [ JAMIE CAMPBELL BOWER ] and live on [ REDCLIFF STREET ].
All hail Jude Nolan, first of his name, consumer of burritos and connoisseur of cannabis, petter of dogs and lover of original pressing 50′s and 60's vinyl records. (did I take license for this from Alice’s bio u bet i did).
born & raised in new york, to a VERY wealthy family. like, his dad’s on the forbes’ billionares’ list. he & his sister are the black sheeps of the family tho.
dropped out of Columbia university to start his band, got lucky and it took off
2010-2014 he was living the high life as the Bass player of Voodoo Kennedy. but management was bad, the members fought, and eventually they got booted from the label with just a few (very popular hit!) singles and an EP to their name, their debut album permanently shelved.
he moved upstate again not able to afford brooklyn, bummed around and got rly low. ended up a hardcore heroin addict.
also, got married around this time & divorced six months later. #casually #asudo
eventually got his shit together and got clean off of heroin following a near fatal overdose.
most recently: did a 6 month stint in nashville last year helping a famous friend (think male taylor swift) record a country album.
moved back to brooklyn & worked at atlantic records whilst trying to get a new band together: Yellow Snow.
decided to head out west; the ashton brothers came with but zac stayed back so he’s in need of a new drummer.
now lives on Redcliff street in a house with his lady love of 2 years, Sophie ( @soniels ) and their boston terrier Kirby & chocolate lab Karma.
is a chill, laidback bro who loves weed, parties, booze, girls, more weed, vintage records, tacos & burritos, all night diners, hittin’ the bong, skating, surfing, —did i mention edibles?
open to ALL THE PLOTS and FUNKY CONNECTIONS.

HII Christens US Navy’s Newbuild Nuclear-Powered Aircraft-Carrier ‘John F. Kennedy’
At the celebration ceremony of the new nuclear powered aircraft carrier of the US Navy and the American hero after whom the ship is named, Huntington Ingalls Industries’ christened the John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) at the Newport News Shipbuilding division of the company. Newport News Shipbuilding division.
“We are here to celebrate America’s military might and the brawn behind it,” said Jennifer Boykin, president of Newport News Shipbuilding. “We are here to celebrate innovation, pride and perseverance that is the American way, and we are here to honor the patriot who inspired it. I speak for every Newport News shipbuilder — 25,000 strong — and the thousands of suppliers across the nation who support us when I say that we are proud to build John F. Kennedy.”
A a bottle of American sparkling wine was smashed across the bow by the former U.S. ambassador Caroline Kennedy, the ship’s sponsor and daughter of President Kennedy to christen the ship. In her speech she also mentioned about christening the first aircraft carrier that is named after her father.
“This ship will represent the ideals he lived by – courage, sacrifice and belief in freedom – and it will help make real his vision of a more just America and a more peaceful world,” Kennedy said. “I’m so proud to be sponsor of this ship and to join with all of you to bring her to life. I look forward to being part of her odyssey and of her extended family. Most of all, I hope she will carry my father’s spirit with her as she sails, his leadership in wartime, his courage in crisis and his commitment to the hard and steady work of building peace.”
The ceremony was attended by over 20,000 including members of the Virginia congressional delegation U.S. Sen. Mark Warner and U.S. Rep. Robert C. Scott, who both offered remarks; and U.S. Rep. Elaine Luria. Other speakers included former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Adm. Frank Caldwell, director of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
James Geurts, assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition; Vice Adm. Thomas Moore, commander of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA); Adm. Christopher W. Grady, commander of U.S. Fleet Forces Command; and Capt. Todd Marzano, the ship’s prospective commanding officer also participated in the ceremony.
Adm. Tom Fargo (U.S. Navy, Ret.), HII chairman of the board, and Mike Petters, HII president and CEO, were in attendance along with the employees of Newport who are building Kennedy, Kennedy’s crew, Navy personnel and other government officials. The ceremony was also attended by former sailors who served on the first USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) that was built and christened at Newport News in May 1967.
“As we observe ‘a date which will live in infamy’ on this 78th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, this magnificent vessel we see before us today is a symbol of our nation’s strength, of our technical achievements and of the critical service our men and women in uniform provide for this nation and the entire world,” said Charles Frank Bolden Jr., a retired U.S. Marine Corps major general and former NASA administrator, and astronaut who served as the principal speaker. “This carrier is also a tangible example of the legacy of a great man who risked his own life volunteering for hazardous duty in the Pacific during World War II in the wake of Pearl Harbor, and later came to embody a time of optimism that he translated into a vision for taking humans beyond the sphere of our planet.”
Since February 2011, when the construction of ship started, over 5,000 shipbuilders have helped in Kennedy’s construction and suppliers from 46 states in the country have provided with specialized parts, skilled services and support to aircraft carrier production. After christening, the vessel will be introduced in the James River and then moved to a pier where the ship’s outfitting and testing will be done. It is scheduled to be delivered to the U.S. Navy in 2022.
“President John F. Kennedy taught us that deterrence will always cost less than war,” said Thomas Modly, acting Secretary of the Navy. “The purpose of our military, including this warship that bears his name, must be to ensure our nation’s commitment to peace and prosperity for all nations of the world.”

Since the first cut of steel in February 2011, more than 5,000 shipbuilders have helped to construct Kennedy, and suppliers from 46 states across the country have contributed specialized parts, skilled services and support to aircraft carrier production. In the weeks following the christening, the carrier will be launched into the James River and moved to a pier where outfitting and testing of the ship’s systems will continue until the ship is delivered to the U.S. Navy in 2022.

New Post has been published on https://vinbo.com/wordpress-5-1-betty-2/
WordPress 5.1 “Betty”
A Little Better Every Day
Version 5.1 of WordPress, named “Betty” in honour of acclaimed jazz vocalist Betty Carter, is available for download or update in your WordPress dashboard.
Following WordPress 5.0 — a major release which introduced the new block editor — 5.1 focuses on polish, in particular by improving the overall performance of the editor. In addition, this release paves the way for a better, faster, and more secure WordPress with some essential tools for site administrators and developers.
Site Health
With security and speed in mind, this release introduces WordPress’s first Site Health features. WordPress will start showing notices to administrators of sites that run long-outdated versions of PHP, which is the programming language that powers WordPress.
When you install new plugins, WordPress’s Site Health features will check them against the version of PHP you’re running. If the plugin requires a version that won’t work with your site, WordPress will keep you from installing that plugin.
Editor Performance
Introduced in WordPress 5.0, the new block editor continues to improve. Most significantly, WordPress 5.1 includes solid performance improvements within the editor. The editor should feel a little quicker to start, and typing should feel smoother.
Expect more performance improvements in the next couple of releases.
Developer Happiness
Multisite Metadata
5.1 introduces a new database table to store metadata associated with sites and allows for the storage of arbitrary site data relevant in a multisite / network context.
Cron API
The Cron API has been updated with new functions to assist with returning data and includes new filters for modifying cron storage. Other changes in behavior affect cron spawning on servers running FastCGI and PHP-FPM versions 7.0.16 and above.
New JS Build Processes
WordPress 5.1 features a new JavaScript build option, following the large reorganisation of code that started in the 5.0 release.
Other Developer Goodness
Miscellaneous improvements include:
Updates to values for the WP_DEBUG_LOG constant
New test config file constant in the test suite, new plugin action hooks
Short-circuit filters for wp_unique_post_slug(), WP_User_Query, and count_users()
A new human_readable_duration function
Improved taxonomy metabox sanitization
Limited LIKE support for meta keys when using WP_Meta_Query
A new “doing it wrong” notice when registering REST API endpoints
…and more!
The Squad
This release was led by Matt Mullenweg, along with Gary Pendergast as Senior Code Reshuffler and Poet. They received wonderful assistance from the following 561 contributors for this release, 231 of whom were making their first ever contribution! Pull up some Betty Carter on your music service of choice, and check out some of their profiles:

The Promised Land
For every skier, Holmenkollen is the mystical promised land where everyone loves skiing, the trails are impeccably groomed, and people scream your name and inexplicably ring bells in your face while you go up a big hill. The road to the promised land, however is not always easy. For some, the “road” comes in the form of hours upon hours of training, racing, and general suffering. For me, it came in the form of a hellish train ride packed full of rowdy, sweaty, half drunk scandos (yes, it was 11:20 in the morning. They take their shit serious in Norway). Although the train ride was reminiscent of my days living on the streets in Kolkata, it was all worth it when I stepped off the train and into the fresh Holmenkollen air (jk, the air smelled like hotdogs and high fluoros).
ANYWAYS I was still happy af to have made it off the train without my sweet sign getting squished (which took 2+ hours of work, two people, and a buttload of pens to complete). We cruised over to the ski jumping area, which was packed (with people and a couple of brass bands), watched a bit of ski jumping (who the hell thought of that sport? Not safe or sensical), and then continued along into the TUNNEL OF FREE STUFF where I got a neato headband advertising some sort of car glass company and a Kvikk Lunsj (the national snack of norway, which you’re supposed to eat når du er “ut på tur”...which is a bit weird because it’s basically a KitKat bar). After collecting our free stuff, we climbed up the big ass hill and situated ourselves on top of it. Luckily, we found some fellow Canadian fans who had a super prime spot so we got to stand there. Also I saw Devon Kershaw warming up, and even though I’m still disappointed in him for marrying another woman while we were dating, I yelled at him (in a friendly way) and waved my sign, and he waved at me (also in a friendly way). Unfortunately he looked veldig veldig trøtt, kinda dumb to have a fresh baby in the middle of the ski season my dude.
The race started at 12:45 and 1 main group dominated from the very start, which included Martin Sundby, Iivo Niskanen, Alex, a bunch of other norwegians, and a russian. Maybe some other people too. Happily Ustiugov fell off the pace pretty quickly, even though I heard that the Russian coaches were just giving him straight EPO in the feed zone.
Our proud Canadian contingent was made up of three skiers today: Devon Kershaw, Russell Kennedy (again: ????? jeg forstår ikke...but thanks for liking my instagram post), and of course our king of Quebec, Alex Harvey. Alex skied with the lead pack for the most part, but the race really got going when Niskanen was the only lead skier to NOT change skis at the ski change zone, giving him a big time advantage. He used this extra time to start and early charge, which I didn’t think would work, but it turned out that Sundby was the only one who was able to reel him back in. The rest of the race (from about 25km on) was Sundby and Niskanen skiing together, with a pack (around 6 skiers) following about 30s (earlier on) to 1min (later) behind (this pack included Alex). So it turned in to a race for the bronze medal pretty early on, with seemingly no one able to catch Sundby and Niskanen.
On the last lap, Sundby, who’s not a very good sprinter, made a big (and successful) move to drop Niskanen to avoid the stress of being in a sprint with him to the line. Niskanen was unable to answer, and had to settle for silver, around 10s back from Sundby. Sundby’s win also basically cemented him as the overall world cup champion, so gratulere Sundby! He really is the best skier in the world, people.
Alex stayed with the bronze medal group right until the finish, but just didn’t have the sprint that he had last weekend in him today and ended up 6th. Overall a great ski by Alex though of course, it’s pretty gd hard to ski 6 races at the World Champs (including a the world’s fastest 50k), then travel to a different country and sprint 3 days after the 50, THEN crush a top 10 in another 50km less than a week later.
Some other tidbits from the day: - Petter Northug was looking PINNED after five on the last lap, hanging his arms on the downhills, not tucking, basically putting on a big dramatic show for the norwegian fans (which of course they loved), but posted this an hour after the race:
- Russell Kennedy, our random draft pick from Canada, was hanging around the back of the pack for most of the race (like the way, way back...). Still, I was comforted by the fact that he wouldn’t be last because of there was this skinny little Irish guy (their sole representative) bringing up the rear. Unfortunately, on the last lap, the little Irishman pulled the best 8.3km of his LIFE out of his ass and passed cruised past Russell and a couple other people. Sadly, this caused Russell to wind up in last (however, you’re not last if you count all the DNFs and DNSs....). Anyways, win some, lose most is what I always say. And (leprechaun) hats off to you Thomas...that was quite the final lap, mate.
- Devon had a pretty respectable ski and ended up 33rd overall, unfortunately just a few places out of the points.
- An important comment is that while it’s really cool and fun to ski 50km and end up on the podium and get a nice medal and a bunch of fanfare, or to get a top 10 on the world cup or even a top 30 and end up in the points, it’s also pretty cool to go out KNOWING you have no chance in hell of winning because maybe you’re from Ireland and have one pair of skis, no wax tech, and have skied on real snow like 2.5 times this winter but still skiing as well as you can and staying positive for 50 long, hilly kilometres. That is some character building stuff. So here’s a big shout out to the TRIERS. Trying is awesome and important.
