“Get there, get there, get there . . . shit!” Peter swore loudly as his ball just missed going into the hole.

“Ooh, so close,” you said, shaking your head. “Better luck next time, buddy.”

“Let’s see you get it in,” Peter said, flipping you off over his shoulder as he went to go stand by his ball.

You smiled, taking a second to adjust your stance, before you swung your golf club and hit the ball. The two of you watched as it rolled over the bridge, through the clown’s legs, and landed neatly into the hole.

“What?” Peter shouted as you did a victory dance. “There’s no way. You cheated somehow.”

“Or maybe I’m just better than you,” you said with a shrug, walking up to him. “Ever think of that?”

“You know, when I suggested mini golfing for our first date, I thought it would be me helping you adjust your swing,” Peter remarked, raising his eyebrows at you.

You laughed, shaking your head. “Really? Do you know me at all?”

“True. So, we’re officially competing now? What are the stakes?”

You pretended to think about it. “If I win, you have to pay for dinner. And if you win . . .”

“I get to kiss you.” You’d never seen Peter so confident before, grinning down at you like he knew his words were making your knees go weak.

“Oh?” you said, trying to gain some composure. “Alright then. You’re on.”

When your boyfriend said he was gonna run a marathon you thought he was kidding at first, but nope, the boy never lies and yes it became real—he’s running a marathon.

Harrison Osterfield is running a marathon.

You were near the finish line section, in the sidelines, making your way to the front to see your boy cross the line. To reach one of his biggest goals.

You were so proud of him. So so proud and when he turned his dream into a plan you couldn’t be happier for him.

You were anxiously waiting…any second now. Hopefully he would be here soon. None of it bothered you—the freezing cold, the noise, the other people. None of it mattered. Only him.

And finally what felt like hours but only a few minutes, you spotted haz’s lucky orange wristband and his neon green running shoes.

“Haz!” you screamed among the enthusiastic crowd.

You made your way to the finish line section and ran toward him embracing the exhausted runner in a hug.

You could feel his chest rising and falling, his panting breaths, and his fast heartbeat. He smiled, resting his chin on your shoulder and then burying his head in your neck, planting a small kiss there. 

And when he finally recovered enough to where he could speak, he mumbled, “Thank you for cheering me on, it means a lot to me.”

You smiled, “I’m so so happy and proud of you haz, congrats,” you whispered back.

All people, race, and runners forgotten, you gazed into each others eyes lovingly. 

Until you decided to drop the line that had been long-awaited for.

“Haz?”

“Hmmm?” he glanced at you, features softening as he met your gaze.

“On a scale of 1-10, I like you 26.2,” you said, blushing slightly still feeling shy at the cheesy pick up line you just had the chance to finally say.

“Well, I’Il do you one better, how about I love you 26.2?” he playfully shot back, trademark smirk in place.

“Well I think I win because I love you 3000″ you smiled back, heart soaring at the cheesy flirting

“Well in that case I love you 3000 too.”

- ergh maybe starlord?? it might be my chris pratt bias seeping in but I also am just annoyed that thanos could’ve been defeated if not for him losing his mind. maybe also vision because....who. and also doctor strange because he’s a pretentious douche.

18. Does not shipping something ‘popular’ mean you’re in denial and/or biased?

- no, I don’t think so. I feel like in this fandom especially most ships, regardless of canon, are pretty tolerated and accepted (except for starker, miss me with that shit). I think people can acknowledge something is real between two people in the movies but also want to explore a connection between two different people through art or writing or whatever and that’s perfectly valid. does that answer this question???? idk

I can’t believe that far from home premieres TOMORROW (at least in the USA)!!! I’ve honestly gotten so much content from the press tour that the wait for the movie didn’t feel as long as the wait for endgame
