I feel like I hit a jackpot today. I walked into my local Half Price Books to kill some time, and I discovered that some metalhead has just sold his entire black metal collection to the store. This was in a sleepy suburb of Houston, and I’ve almost never seen any extreme metal stuff there. I walked out with TWO Watain vinyl box sets, a bunch of Enthroned CDs, that @peterbeste photography book, and some other stuff. . The Watain 8LP box set is magnificent. It includes the band’s first four albums, all 2xLP 45RPM, colored vinyl. The box itself is made out of heavy wood and has a really thick leather top. In flipping through it, I can tell the records have never even been removed from the inner sleeves or played. . I started the weekend high on the new Watain album, and I’m closing it with a deep dive in the early catalog. So happy right now.
