I feel this song portrays the profound bond we’ve seen between TK and Carlos in season 4. It leaves me eagerly anticipating further exploration of the ways they will support each other in moments of grief in the upcoming season.

Peter and Kerry - La Trimouille
Artist: Peter and Kerry
Album: La Trimouille
Initially beginning as a side project by two close friends that started as two solo artists, Peter and Kerry have used their array of musical talents to produce their debut album, La Trimouille. The album title comes from the town Peter and Kerry stayed at in France when beginning to write the music that has formed this brilliant record. Kerry Leatham has a beautifully relaxing and intriguing voice whilst Peter Lyons adds his innocent and tantalising vocals that aids to an all round high quality first LP.
The duo met in 2009 and their relationship developed due to their mutual love for 80’s music; a theme which is evident throughout the album. Influences of the two such as Tears For Fears and The Human League further reinforce the direction this album heads towards.
The album starts with ‘I Don’t Know’; an excellent catchy pop track with brilliant harmonies and vocal exchanges between the two. The song provides a fun element with very infectious sing along lyrics; lyrics which were written by Peter whilst waiting for a train – proving it doesn’t matter where you write your music.
‘Split For The City’ is our stand out track of the record. The track was initially born during a break from writing and it is at this point of the album the love of 80’s music really becomes evident. Fortunately the duo quickly recorded the idea on a mobile phone and later developed the track into the story of a “repressed housewife living in the ‘50’s”.
One of the beauty’s about this record is that there are plenty of shifts in tempo which can sometimes cause issues with an album. However the nature of the captivating songs means Peter and Kerry do not encounter this with ‘La Trimouille’.
Even the songs on the album which would typically be defined as ‘Album tracks’ play in to the hearts of the audience and the pure, simple and mesmerising vocals of both Peter and Kerry encapsulate the listeners, leaving them itching for more and more.
The record represents a great debut album release for Peter and Kerry and we can only hope the duo goes on to record more music and release further material.  The two are also just as good performing live and the audience instantly fall in love with their charisma and chemistry. Their talents are clearly recognised within the music industry and are currently supporting Lucy Rose on tour whilst will be supporting Laura Mvula later in 2013.
