I haven’t posted in forever and I’m sorry but Pete Hutter is the most amazing “bad guy” in existence don’t @ me.

Birthday gift for a friend and one of the few that remember the great 90′s series, The Adventures Of Brisco County Jr. In comms he calls me Brisco and I call him Bowler :D  It’s a great show with equal parts western, comedy and sci-fi to create something unique. With loads of great characters as well it’s worth binging the whole 27 part series if you can. One of best characters was inept henchman Pete Hutter. Pete’s kind of like a real life version of WIle E Coyote and he has an ‘obsession’ with his gun, known as Pete’s Piece. Great project and lots of fun memories while doing this one. My 100th Tumblr post and I’m sure Pete would be happy to be remembered for something!

some random brisco headcanons/ship fanons (some sfw, some not lol)

- brisco and bowler keep their horses at the same stable and they constantly run into each other. bowler makes gagging faces at brisco when he baby talks at comet and gives him kisses on his little baby head. but then brisco catches bowler slipping comet green apples and brisco teases him about it.

- brisco talks to comet at the stable all the time and people give him weird looks.

- bowler's horse is named maggie

- they leave passive aggressive notes on their horses' stalls lol

- brisco got really sick from his head injury after the end of 'no man's land' and they had to stop and see a doctor.

bowler: why didn't you say something??

brisco: i didn't think it was important

and bowler realizes brisco has zero self-preservation.

- bowler calls brisco 'baby' and 'honey,' dixie calls brisco 'darlin' and bowler 'honey.' she calls them both 'dear' and 'sweetheart.' brisco just calls them by their names because he's not a pet name kind of guy lol. they think it's really sexy when brisco uses their real names.

- ellie and socrates end up dating post-series

- brisco is the awkward one night stand king.

- wickwire held an xmas party one year where they got totally smashed and brisco and katrina made out and started a fwb deal. brisco realizes he has a strength/competence kink.

- whip morgan and nevada cooper meet up post-series while nevada's hunting a bounty and after a bar fight, three shootouts, a night in jail, a poker game, and a ton of property damage they become bffs.

- aaron ends up dating pete hutter much to the bafflement of their friends (and friends in law).

- bowler jokingly slaps brisco's ass once on the trail and brisco has confused boners over it.

- bowler has a secret stash of romance novels (because he's a hopeless romantic at heart lol).

- whip visits the gang in san francisco whenever he can, which is how he knows socrates in 'bad luck betty.'

- wickwire: unofficial wacky group dad

- dixie befriends the shwenke sisters during visits with brisco.

- brisco and socrates sort of had a confused love/hate thing at the beginning but it didn't really go anywhere because socrates realized he's definitely straight. things are really awkward for a while.

- brisco is 31, bowler is 35, and dixie is somewhere in the 25 to 28 range (i think).

- i think bowler and dixie both have a lot in common: orphaned at an early age, religious upbringings, rough professions, liking the finer things in life, both of them want to settle down and get married, they're both hopeless romantics who have been burned, and they both say, 'i love it when it does that' about champagne bubbles lol.

- dixie picks up brisco and bowler's habit of messing with each other.

- brisco, bowler, and dixie go with each other to visit their families' graves.

- brisco reads scifi and gothic. he also goes to see plays whenever he has the time and money. he's a big shakespeare fan.

- brisco has adhd and is bisexual. bowler and dixie are also bi.

- the orbs are sentient

- matt carter and donovan joe are brisco's exes.

- the reason bowler 'no homos' so hard at brisco is because he's afraid of his feelings, he's afraid brisco doesn't feel the same way, and eventually brisco's going to marry dixie. plus he doesn't want people to like suspect they're together.

- brisco has a praise kink

- during brisco's hookups with bowler and katrina he keeps forgetting he has spurs on and accidentally stabbing them when they pick him up lol.

- brisco got them to make a copy of the music recorder so he can listen to music in his room lol.

- bowler and lenore keep in contact after the breakup in 'hard rock.'

- the only exes brisco is on bad terms with are francis and donovan joe.

- dixie introduces brisco and bowler to pampering/self-care. bowler loves it, brisco is resistant.

- brisco and bowler read to each other in bed.

- i love the thought of dixie and bowler doing a duet together for one of dixie's acts or for a case.

- brisco: *monologues at bowler about whatever topic he's hyperfixating on at the time*

bowler: *nodding and occasionally answering*

brisco: are you even listening to me?

bowler: god help me i am...

brisco: really?

bowler: yeah, you know all this stuff that most people wouldn't care about and you're always so passionate about it. it's never boring hanging out with you.

brisco: [about to spontaneously combust internally] *choked* thank you.

- brisco got bullied as a kid because he's a huge nerd, neurodivergent, good at a lot of stuff, and his dad's a cop (the last one i'm like okay fair. im sorry lol). then brisco learned to fight and the other kids kind of backed off.

instead of killing characters off at random for shock value, may i propose a hip new trend: keeping characters alive at random for shock value. by all logic, this character should be dead. there’s no possible explanation for how they continue to shuffle ‘round this mortal coil. maybe we literally saw them die onscreen back in the passe era of shock value deaths. and yet, there they are. alive before our eyeballs.
