Marcamille headcanons ptfluff
Because I know I have a lot to write and I will write them, but not just now because I'm tired af
@wagner-fell (?)
They have breakfast together, right?
Camille is usually the first one to wake up, usually before even the maids wake up, because he likes that alone time in the morning to think/arrange what he has to do during the day/read/write letters/etc, and then when it's not *that* early he goes and wakes up Marcus
The servants don't bother waking Marcus up because Camille is already there
Literally when they first started living together, Camille got really annoyed by the maids trying to do 'his' job and ended up getting angry at one of those poor women
But anyways, Camille will tug at Marcus's hair and rush him because he's hungry since he's been up for three/four hours already so Marcus needs to get dressed fast to have breakfast
Marcus isn't a heavy sleeper or anything, but he does tell Camille he should sleep in a little more often and that way he won't be that hungry
Camille doesn't pay attention to him
Over breakfast, Camille would tell Marcus what he'd been doing while the rest of the household slept, which usually meant he would fill him in on his latest convo with Martha, the book he was reading, or what he planned to do to solve x problem in the nearby village
After breakfast, they'd go to the gardens/a bit deeper into the countryside (?) so that Marcus could train and do some exercise
Listen, Marcus is a fit freak and Camille the laziest thing ever
Marcus would begin running or something (idrk what fit freaks do) and Camille would just lay on a blanket to contemplate his husband + ask whether he was tired already (his answer: no)
The conversation topics during the mornings are very idle (?); mornings are light
Okay, time to talk about Camille and books
Damn that guy reads so much
He has no perception of time when he's reading a book he really really likes, but he gets tired still because yk he's human, so there are a few times when he's fallen asleep on a sofa in the drawing room or even on the stairs
That almost always happens when Marcus's away, because Marcus would usually chastise him and get him to his bedroom + help him take off his shoes and socks because Camille is tired
When Marcus is not there Camille just doesn't get to his bedroom lol
And when Marcus arrives in the middle of the night and sees Camille snoozing (?) on the stairs, he'll try to softly nudge him to see if he wakes up, and if he doesn't, he'll move his pillow and blanket to the stairs, and if his arrival is a surprise, Marcus will even join Camille a few steps ahead only so that he can see his husband's face when he realises he's back
Btw, Marcus would never physically carry Camille to his bedroom, because Camille gets kinda dysphoric about his weight and getting carried around like he were a peso pluma (even if it is by Marcus, who's strong af and could carry virtually anyone like that) makes him feel really bad/self-conscious/dysphoric
The only circumstance under which Marcus would carry Camille would be if Camille were injured because *duh* he needs to be moved some way, and if you have Marcus Strongman Woolaham™, then you're going to make use of him
But Marcus is usually the one who gets injuries, so it's not like Camille has had to be carried a lot
Yep, about that, Camille sometimes thinks Marcus will be the death of him
See, Marcus gets injured a lot
I'm talking he was doing military training shit and he would break a leg or a bullet would grace his arm or he'd get stabbed by accident
Stuff like that
Y claro
Camille worries about that
At the same time he scolds Marcus a lot when that happens, but always while tending his wounds/injuries very carefully
And Camille's scolding isn't even? That bad? He gets angry at Marcus because 'he can't leave him alone', 'what would he do without his husband', or 'Marcus getting hurt hurts him more than if it was his own body the one who'd sustained the injuries'
Yk how careful and soft Marcus is when Camille's falling asleep somewhere he shouldn't? Yeah, that's Camille with Marcus when he gets sick
He'll fluff his pillow, bring him breakfast to his room, etc
Once Marcus got a cut on his shoulder blade and Camille felt compelled to bathe him himself
And tbh Marcus is fine with that? He's very self-conscious about the scars Gaylord left (again, Marcus widely substituted Madeleine when it came to familial treatment), and Camille not only doesn't comment on them, he also adopts an aura of warmth Marcus never receives from anyone else
I don't think I'm explaining myself, but basically the only one Marcus has a memory of being treated gently by is Camille, the rest of his living family are assholes and overly-strict Victorians. To him, Camille as a whole is a safe place, and having your safe place doing something as (platonically) intimate as washing you because he wants to take care of yourself and he wants to spare you the bad experience of having an outsider inspect your scarred body and gawk at it because there shouldn't be that many scars, is really something that heals Marcus and makes him feel blessed to have Camille in his life and ndoneisnwosnsondoznsos
Just Camille platonically bathing Marcus, thank you
Also, kinda contemplating having Marcus give Camille (safe) binding tape
Like ofc that wasn't invented at the time, but in my mind, one day when Marcus was away for work, he found a tape-like cloth that he thought could be of use to Camille
He knew Camille had chest dysphoria (which he wouldn't call that but yk) and was high-key afraid he'd one day seriously injure himself by flattening his chest in an unhealthy way (and at the same time the only thing he could do was strongly advise him to be moderate when binding, and assure him he was a man regardless of his chest, and stuff like that --he couldn't tell Camille to stop 'binding' because he knew that, in a way, the consequences could be worse)
So anyways, Camille's unhealthy binding problem was unconsciously at the back of his mind, so when he saw there could be a safer option he got this >< close to crying of happiness
My guy tried the tape on himself first to see if his theory of how it could help Camille actually worked, and when it, in fact, did work he rushed to his home
Camille was very surprised, and a tad confused about how to use it (mainly because Marcus was trying to illustrate it by doing it on himself, and Camille had to figure out a way to do translate into his body by himself --because he really doesn't feel comfortable being naked in front of anyone, regardless of whether that anyone is Marcus-- while Marcus only shouted at him the instructions from another room), but he eventually succeeded!
Camille loves it so much, it just made him 10 times happier
So yeah
