Ok, quick question: do content creators have jobs? It seems to me like the more popular, but not *crazy* popular ones don't have a back up job. I'm a content creator too, but just for fun and I'd honestly be a bit afraid of catching extreme burnout from creating and not having a safety net in a guaranteed monthly income. I assume their burnout could come from a required job and then there's also factors like being from a country that pays your retirement age or not, making it better to just make content. But whenever I watch other small creators it seems they have a full time working fiance and only do YouTube+TikTok and live comfortably even if they're living in the land of capitalism™. Is there TikTok pay? Is it just so much bigger than YouTube and such? I'm just so confused •-•

#this isn't an attack on any creators tho #just curiousity #seriously #personally I make like 600 bucks a month by being a small-ish content creator #and I'm looking to expand #for me this is comfortable because the job I aim for pays well enough for my lifestyle #so these extra money would go to house bills #but I'm just lucky enough to be living in a country with cheap prices once you've got your own place #before the war I could also afford my groceries from that pay #now I think I'd need to make a bit more #but I'll see about that when I am finally done with my exams #I have a policy of posting more content once I reach a certain target and I know I reached my last one recently while I was busy #because exams got in the way #but I'll then honor my part with the posting once I am in the clear with the university stuff for this semester #tiktok #youtube #content creation #i guess #also I'm not expanding to TikTok #not comfortable with that
