I’m very confused by the idea that Book 1 Zuko has “dark and sexy” energy tbh.

I’m speaking as an unapologetic Zuko simp btw.

But honestly if you’re above the age of like, 12, and think Book 1 Zuko is dark and intimidating…I’m embarrassed for you. He acts like an overgrown toddler throwing a tantrum and that’s the point. He’s supposed to come off as spoiled and childish. Very unsexy.

And it’s important to the beginning of his character arc too. Book 1 Zuko is naïve, brainwashed by the ideals he was raised with, and has no outlet for his trauma because the idea of what he experienced being abuse is forbidden to him. Questioning the way he was treated by Ozai is treason in his mind. He’s all bark and no bite, angry but doesn’t know what to do with himself, unaware of the realities of the war, and so very young and inexperienced. It’s a brilliant foundation for his character and the man he grows into.

#and like #ive seen some 🥵 gifsets of dallas liu #but i honestly didn’t find him attractive on screen as Zuko #because he very effectively portrayed Zuko in this childish rage kinda persona #and personally i find ‘teen having tantrum’ to be a turn off #so anyways stop accusing Zutara shippers of this #natla #atla #zuko #zutara
