the first couple paragraphs below the cut:

“Hey,” asks Akira one afternoon, twirling a pen between his fingers, “What would happen if you used that berserk thing on somebody else?”

Akechi looks at him. The two of them are just at the tail end of a walk together, one they hadn’t really intended to take— they’d run into each other at the station by coincidence(or at least Akechi insists it was coincidence, and Akira finds it cute enough that he’s still trying to sell that that he doesn’t bother to call him on it) and gotten distracted bickering long enough it had turned into a thing.

They’re most of the way back to the station now. The fact that neither of them had meant to leave in Shibuya is equal parts irrelevant and embarrassing.

Anyway:

“I… do,” Akechi says slowly, furrowing his brow. “Professionally. You know that.”

Well.

“Not a shadow,” Akira clarifies, “Someone who’s physically there. A persona-user, I guess.”

Akechi taps his lip pensively with one gloved finger, frowning. “You know, I’m not certain,” he says, “I’ve never tried it. I can only assume it would have a similar impact on them. Lowered inhibitions, mania. Potentially an improved capacity for violence. Why, are you thinking of cycling in some new tactics?”

I need you to know that two birds on a wire scratched my brain SO hard when i first read it oh my god

Two Birds on a Wire is truly my magnum opus. I have so much stuff planned that it literally goes all the way to P5: Strikers. I still need to finish Strikers though.

This was how I envisioned the reader as I wrote the fic, but I still didn’t describe their look or mention anything that would be gender specific so that you can insert yourself or an OC. Still, I always thought that they and Goro were identical twins! The name I also gave them was Kokomi 😇
