Fun fact: I listened to Butch 4 Buth by Rio Romano and that whole song is what inspired her new look and her relationship with Stockholm

Saw this meme taking over Twitter and I thought it was a great way to introduce some new characters I'm working on

I made some Battlebots OCs; the first one is called Ptera (part of the scientific name for bats) and the second is called Persica (part of the name of a tree whose sticks can be used as toothbrushes, I swear there’s a theme here), they make up a multibot called The Fang Club, Ptera is a horizontal spinner and Persica is a lifter bot

They are siblings and their vibe is the “lookit it’s frickin bats I love Halloween” vine

I love giving my ocs hobbies and favorite things that don't have any major impact on their story, I think Solana likes to cook and bake and he's really good at it, Primrose loves sweets and is notorious for sneaking off with some of what Solana bakes, Auratum loves flowers and likes making little flower arrangements for Wisteria and in return she brings him books full of pressed flowers from her travels, Narcissus collects unique chess sets not because he likes chess but because he's enamored by the craft of the pieces-- in fact despite being the foremost strategist of the Royal Knights he's rather bad at chess, Persica's singing voice is a little harsh on the ears but she's so passionate about it that skill no longer matters, Dianthus has an eye for intricate detail and his memorization is phenomenal so he likes to take complex mechanisms apart and reassemble them and often the things he does this to end up in better shape than they started

You ever just wanna infodump about your ocs but dont have anything but the basics?

Yeah lets go

Lumia is the yellow mew, named after a species of lemon. Eximium is the red mewtwo, named after a species of chilli.

They're mates, established mates even, but also they're assholes so there's a bit of light bullying going on. They're fine, its their love language, a genuine fight between them looks much worse than the poking they do at each other, its just how they is.

They have kits on the way too, Eximium is carrying a litter of five. There'll be:

Persica (named after a peach species), an orange little grump

Boreale (named after a blueberry species), a chill little blue/purple baby

Charantia (named after the bitter melon), a little green genius

Integrifolia (named after a species of macadamia), a white little menace

And Acuminata (named after a species of kola), a little red/purple spitfire

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out, given their names, but their natures were heavily considered here and all the information needed has been given, if you wanna do a little research journey. A lot of Acuminata's personality can be figured out when you dive into their namesake

TL: VyX & one of her parrots, Pandan the mooncheek GCC. She has a whole flock of Green Cheek Conures and Indian Ringnecks, and they're all named after plant flavors

TC: concept sketch of the team car, Millicent. It fits up to 11 people, its engine can double as a grill, and has a ton of kinetic and ablative arms. Each team gets only one car at a time, only getting replacements if it's destroyed/lost/damaged beyond repair

TR: the 3 "main" parrots VyX brings with her. Pandan is a certified hater, Ube is both smart and murderous, and Taro has no thoughts ever in his life. One perk of working for a STRIKE team (she's not part of the unit) is that members and their main support are allowed to bring pets provided that their daily calorie intake is below a certain level

ML: comparison of a normal STRIKE team uniform. I read Bret Devereaux's blog post on armor for inspiration and went for something that approximates a late medieval knight's plate armor- fitting, given what STRIKE teams are supposed to do. They're gendered, which sets them apart from the setting's military uniforms (I'm still not sure if they should be military or something else) which are unisex. However, there's a more armored version that's also unisex. Both rigid and nonrigid parts are mostly made from carbon nanotubes + fabric + metal + insulators on the inner layers

C: a lineup of the 2 STRIKE teams + support the story will follow initially. Each team has a leader, medic, 3 fighters, and a communications guy. They used to be bigger, w/ 3 medics, 2 comms guys, & 4 fighters, but recent budget troubles from the government has cut down unit sizes from 10 to 6. There are 20 total STRIKE teams (30 pre-downsizing), each named after a Greek letter (they used to be numbered). The support members are not part of a STRIKE team and are only there to provide backup for particularly dangerous/difficult missions.

MR: Etarid's cat Za'atar. I've heavily revamped his appearance; he's now a Ragdoll/Cashmere mix bred by accident from her family's cats. Etarid is from a wealthy family who owns a whole army of pedigree cats, but Za'atar is the only cat that she personally owns. He's very dumb and placid, but a very sweet boy.

BL: possible helmet design I don't really like this version

BC: medics get their own version of the normal uniform + Qiuji showing off the back side of the normal uniform

BR: a doodle of the uniforms w/o the torso armor. Basically, armor > jacket > shirt/dress
