Okay...I had to search for a name for All for One because he surprisingly doesn't have one (other than his family name). And I found the perfect name. Reiichi.

Rei, in this case, means zero, which can connect him as the original cause of One for All and how he has no true quirk of his own. It can also mean order, command, and rule, which fits with AfO wanting to rule over others and bring order through his rule.

Ichi connects back to Yoichi and how AfO is his twin, but also in this case would mean all, one, or alone. AfO is technically alone with no one true siding with him. All and one...I think it's obvious.

Rei is standing for 0. The OFA quirk starts with AFO. The way this ends up matching the fact that all OFA users have a kanji that corresponds to the number user they are.

Like with nana having the kanji for the number 7, izuku having the kanji for 9, En having the kanji for 6 etc etc.

Rei also meaning command and to rule could be implemented in various aspects of who AFO as a character and how by nature he is an incredibly controlling and possessive individual who needs to have everything in the palm of his hand. He NEEDS to be the master of the game and bend everyone to his will and you can argue that he does that by starting the long cruel and endless rivalry with his brother.

Ichi ends up connecting yoichi and AFO as one in the same and that links to the belief that in certain cultures twins are viewed as the same person or as a curse (correct me if I am wrong on this)

AFO being viewed and labelled as all and one links to both his name and the isolation that he experiences with his obsessive goal to chase a brother long gone killed by his hand

You're overcorrecting for those people's flanderization of him.

Jimmy isn't some master manipulator who's out to kill everyone, but he's not even close to being "a victim of his own self destruction".

Jimmy's antisocial tendencies can't all be blamed on whatever coping mechanism he uses, because there's a big leap between being an aggressive and reactionary person, and being a rapist and a murderer.

Jimmy isn't just a pathetic man who lashes out at others due to his feelings of inadequacy, he's also completely lacking any sort of empathy or care for those around him, outside of him needing them, or thinking he does.

You can be an angry, aggressive person while still not intentionally hurting those around you. You can lash out at others and then regret it, if you have any sort of self awareness or empathy.

Jimmy lacks both : he could care for others, but choses not to overburden himself with trying to, just as he could try to take a step back and see what he's doing, but ends up choosing to remain in denial because it's easier to think Anya is incompetent and less than human rather than recognize the fact that he was ok with hurting a fellow human being in the worst way possible and completely derail the life of a woman who was already struggling financially.

Jimmy is selfish, violent, and desperately wants to believe he's a good person. He should be granted neither the status of a cold, calculating villain, nor the status of a victim. He ruined his life by thinking he can take his anger out on others free of consequence, and, when faced with the consequences he thought he could escape, he chose to drag everyone down with him rather than see it as a wake up call.

Something that really bothers me is how people write Jimmy to be this horrible, all knowing cruel entity that isn't human.. but also write in the fact that he actively enjoys being like this too. At no point in the game does Jimmy ever express he's having fun or enjoying himself doing what he does.

People write him like he's intentionally harmful, abusive, cruel and selfish when all he ever expresses in the game is an overwhelming sense of shame, self doubt and anxiety over everything he does. Paranoid, flighty, escalates situations for no reason, constantly on his back legs getting ready to bite and kick all the time. Doesn't this all line up with the potential of him to being apart of the cycle of abuse?

Jimmy isn't a crazed maniac with a insatiable bloodlust, to me, he seems like a caged, wild animal that just scratches and bites everything it can, protective of itself to a fault in self-destruction, but so wrapped up in his self-loathing and inferiority complex. Making him out to be a ruthless, pathological abuser and a murderer right from the start discredits everything about his character and the people that are like him, the people that find relatability in his panic and temperament.

Jimmy is a victim too, of his own self-destruction most definitely, but he is very much apart of the abuse that is the capitalist hellhole he lives in, even if he momentarily benefits from it.
