I don’t care what anyone says, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has unmatched aura. The setting, the time period, the characters, the music, the story. It’s just an absolutely delightful game to play.

Do you guys think Adler finds himself going "We've got a job to do" even after Bell is dead? Do you guys think he feels a pit in his stomach when he realises what he had said and needs a moment to realise he has to stop this already?

Something that kills me is how Bell in almost every case seems to hesitate when faced with killing Adler despite the fact they should want to. Yes they can and will kill him, but in most endings it’s not something they seem to jump at the chance to do. Of course theres the lighter in the duga ending and how Bell will indulge him. Bell can also simply not call an ambush even if they unlock the back room which could be interpreted as not wanting to kill Adler/hesitation.
What i barely see anyone mention really is how debatably they do hesitate on solovetsky too. In my opinion, they had to at the very least have been suspicious that Adler would try something. especially towards the end of his speech. Yet they don’t raise their gun until Adler raises his. Secondly, also in my opinion Bell had a shot lined up just barely before Adler did, yet it seems like they didn’t even shoot.
This contrasted with how Adler is so ready to kill Bell no matter what really just reinforces their relationship. Adler is not attached to Bell. it certainly seems more personal than he wants to admit, but he’s not attached even if he does ‘respect’ Bell enough to give them a decent death in Solovetsky. However Adler knows Bell is attached to him whether they like it or not and uses that to his advantage which is why he does half the things he does.

Ekaterina Burova & Perseus
Her code name later - Bell.
Her sharp mind and skills, acquired during her training at the academy and then while working for the KGB, turned out to be very useful for Perseus' plans and operations. As it turned out, Katya is an extremely experienced and excellent cipher. Perseus hired her precisely during her work for the KGB, and Ekaterina did not refuse such an interesting opportunity, which irrevocably changed her life.
In the end, she knows - she had nothing to lose anyway, right?
Well, a new year is a chance for me to start a new beginnings. I wanted to start sharing story of my version of Bell last year, but it wasn't possible for me to do so. So I guess I'll start this year! Hopefully I can share as much as I can about her story and her interactions with the characters from Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 6!

Perseus VS Adler, Bell in the middle, one foot on both sides
Old project I did with my friend @blakegamor , this project remains one of my favorites, I managed to make it in a single image.

How much do you think it stroked Adler's ego to have Perseus's right hand man jumping to follow his orders and thinking he's Adler's subordinate.

Lately I’ve been thinking about Bell’s personality before they were captured by the CIA. Knowing that they were in the inner circle of Perseus already lets us know that Bell was a rather ambitious person. Though, I feel like they indeed had to go through a dirty path to get so high in this hierarchy. You can’t reach the stars without suffering, right? So naturally, Bell must’ve had the charisma and will to go through things like the assassinations of his rivals and making themselves stand out from the rest of the people. After all, even in a circle of Perseus, there was no guarantee that Bell would easily stay in their spot all safe and sound (we can take the Trabzon Airfield situation as an example). This system of hierarchy setup was rather unforgiving for those who were lacking the will to take action or who weren’t careful enough. So, in short, Bell’s hands weren’t clean.
But even with all the killing they had done, both to his comrades and enemies, Bell had to trust somebody. We can’t say that Bell had serious trust issues beforehand, since they had to trust their comrades at least a little bit, since operating all alone was a death sentence. But I feel like Bell never really fully trusted anyone in the first place, except for Perseus and the closest operatives (but these relationships are different stories).
Another thing that I often wonder about is whether Bell was blinded by the ideology or not. As we know, Perseus did have his own idea of perfecting Motherland and his own hate towards the West. Though, did Bell have their own ideas, or were they simply following Perseus, convinced by his ideals and morals? I like to think that Bell was their own person with their own beliefs and ideas. After all, Bell being able to think for themselves would connect with the charisma they might’ve had. And I think Bell’s head was one of the reasons why they even got noticed by Perseus. I like to believe that their ideals never aligned so perfectly, but their small differences made their bond grow stronger.
Sorry, I had to get this rambling out of my head
