#Repost @permissiontowrite (@get_repost) ・・・ WRITING PROMPT (Inspired by a recent interview with Brian Tyree Henry): Grief is like being dropped in a forest and...  __________________________________________ told, "life will never again be like you once knew it."  That bend in the road you have come to know all so well will cease winding a familiar path for you. You have been left to take to the road alone, no hand to guide you, no roof to shelter you, no arms resting nearby to usher you in from the storm.  This stand of trees did not grow to spite you, has not been planted for your benefit. It holds no regard for your welfare one way or another. Neither harsh nor kind or especially forgiving, the forest grants you admission, permits you to wander among its trees. Their inclination to grace you with their presence provided you come alone, take a solemn vow to make your way planted like never before in the here and the now. No looking back on whence you came, wanting something, needing some presence other than the might of those towering tree trunks beside you. Soon, the branches extending above your head will be the only shelter you know, the only comfort you seek. Yes, I do. I'm getting their planner for Christmas and I have like five other ones for various reasons. I'm absolutely addicted to them and getting this planner is making me need to see what creative things people have done with theirs. I JUST WANT TO BE ORGANIZED BECUASE IT WILL MAKE ME SO HAPPY.

I have such a weird addiction to organization, and I'm not even a neat person. But bags, boxes, storage containers, and notebooks/planners are like crack to me.

I think there's something poetic about saying the phrase 'girl that reads' makes the girl in question an object instead of a person. Maybe we're not people who read books, maybe we are things that books happen to. In that case, writers are things that stories happen to, as well! ... That all being said, I thought your explanation of changing it from girlwhoreads was hilarious and I wanted you to know it did not go unappreciated. =)
