Everyone has their own ideas for Pearl not being a pearl in gemcyt au but for me personally I think she like had a friend who was a pearl but something bad happened to them and when she finds out they can give themselves whatever name they want she’s like “I would like to name myself after my former best friend who is no longer here… Pearl” and everyone is just like “…are you sure-“

With jasper being nice in the last couple frames, it gives a lot of new possible cenarios.

Good theory! And definitely a risk with a fusion like this.

The intention is to have the comic slot nicely between the last 2 episodes of Future. So Steven still leaves Beach City. Jasper still stays in Little Homeschool. So at the end of the day, you can read this knowing nothing about the Canon ending is going to change. Just adding a bit to the void!

Doesn't mean they won't try in the mean time though.

(assuming you finished nona) did you ever come back to your tags on this post? i cannot emphasize enough what I felt when I first saw them during your read through. I was so shaken I had to take a screenshot for posterity

one time like a year ago after I finished future I was scrolling through the su tag and saw an au about stevonnie getting stuck as a perma fusion, and the specific scene in the post was them hiding in the bushes outside the maheshwaran house to stay out of sigh of connie's parents because priyanka and doug were so devastated and angry about losing their daughter that stevonnie could barely interact with them, and I remember thinking "wow, what an interesting idea, but unfortunately this one comic panel alone is already making my heart pang too badly to get into it fully." so you can imagine how I felt reading That Scene.

Can you give us some facts about Nihilego!Ash? Like, what are his hobbies and current battle strategy during while Nihilego is possessing Ash?

There really is no strategy in Nihilego!Ash granted but i do have some facts that i dont think ive actually explained?

- the trabsformation that Nihilego goes through under Ash is a perma fixture since Ash IS needed for it to survive.

- The Form was based on a mix between a Mauve Stinger and Sea Wasp

- The Eyes on Nihilego's body aren't actually eyes. It cant see with them, but its meant as a deterrent to get people to pause, long enough for it to attack. It rolls to the person because of the aura they let out, rather than the movement. Its real eyes are on Ash.

- The poison has corrupted Ash's aura, hence why his eyes turn black. He is using aura the entire time he is fused.

- While Ash has a lot of Aura to hold, Nihilego consumes just as much to keep the form holding. The moment they split, they both bottom out, and its why they both struggle so hard to stay alive.

- Nihilego does learn how to consume aura without needing to fuse or harm others but it's only near Ash. If it's trainer is more than 20ft away, it struggles and needs to find him.

- Nihilego focuses on attacking until the pokemon is down, it's Ash's quick time thinking that allow them to actually be able to beat down Tapu Koko. Otherwise, they'd have been screwed from the start.

- Despite this, they loose to ordinary Pokemon because Ash's love for them overwrites his temporary fear and hatred of Legendaries.

- Because it has been fused with Ash, Nihilego speaks in the same language as the Alolans (in this case Unovian) because of its fusion with Ash. So while it still understands Poipole just fine, the other pokemon only understand Nihilego.

- It takes a small minute for Ash's Pokemom to accept Nihilego, the most stand-offish actually being Rowlet.

I dont, no. I did have a little thought that franky would be one, and the gem positions would be his nipples. But ah…

Perma-stuck Ivymare

Basically this is an AU i kinda came up with, where ivy ( @superbfirnacho ) and nightmare fused together but are now perminately stuck as a singular being (kinda like Steven universe), so it's kinda like a fusion!

So like, I just made a Madonna magica esk(maybe?) addition to the miraculous power system for my au, I just want some thoughts on it. Here are my notes:(might be a bit incoherent tho)

-can come in perma(bunny, broken miraculous, miraculous fusion) or non-perma(goat) or that weird super slow butterfly ver. Some of the affinity powers can also cause it, but we’ll get there when we get there.

-non perma can quickly turn into perma if not given the time to heal.

-the stages are:

1.Nausea:

Holder will feel nauseous after detransforming, and will often throw up.

2.Paleness:

Holders souls has started a slight deterioration, and as such the body will start somewhat reflecting the soul, even if its counteracted later.

3.Tiredness:

The continued deterioration of the soul causes the holder to become more tired as the soul starts being unable to pilot the body as well, leading to frequent exhaustion.

4.Increased resistance:

Godly light is leaking into the body, causing it to become more resistant towards damage and eventually, the holders blood with mutate into a light orange color as it’s being somewhat turned into ichor. Once the soul is fully corrupted and destroyed the body will most likely be practically indestructible. Stays even when the rest of the body is healed of MER.

5.Coughing up blood:

Side effect of increased resistance. Body is mutating and as such often becomes unstable enough that the holder starts coughing up blood. Don’t worry, it’s not lethal at this point due to increased resistance.

6.Fainting:

The soul has deteriorated too much. This is the point where non-perma becomes perma as the soul has gone to the point where it will be so weak that it cannot pilot the body, where the holder will faint until the soul has become strong enough to take back control. This is the point where some people start dying.

7.Disappearance of pupil:

The eyes of the holder will start randomly becoming empty as the soul is still further deteriorating.

8.Hallucinations:

The soul will start trying to take back as much control as it can, accidentally driving the holder to have frequent and messed up perception of the world around them.

9.Weak limb control:

The soul is coming to a point where it can barely move limbs and even talking is a hassle for the holder. Some lucky holders here die of heart failure.

10.“Death”:

The holders souls has officially become null. They cannot be revived by any kind of miraculous or Ane as their soul has come into nonexistence, and as such cannot be brought back or exchanged, as there is nothing there. This can technically happen at any stage after fainting, but is basically guaranteed after the last stage.

-the known “dead” people are: colt fathom and Emilie Agreste.

Been passively coming up with an AU where Izuku's got a fusion quirk since I'm back in my MHA era (And coz I never fully left my Steven Universe era lol) and I've kinda got the basics for it?

Like, I know that a lot of Izuku's fusions would follow SU's design trend - extra limbs, extra eyes, etc, and that they'd have abilities derived from their components' quirks (i.e. Izuku and Ochako's fusion can increase gravity, Izuku, Bakugou, and Mina's could shoot nitroglycerin and ignite it, etc.). I'm not completely sure if he'd have OFA in this? I've associated it with him for so long that it feels weird not to give it to him. Maybe he gets it later? idk

I've got some basic ideas for some of the fusions themselves figured out, too. His fusion with Eri would be a savant with Rewind and OFA but be terrified to experiment with their own quirk. Fusions with Bakugou are usually only pulled out when shit hits the fan, while Izuku and Ochako will fuse just for the fun of it. The one time Izuku and Mei fused ended with their fusion being perma-banned from the support labs.

Also bear in mind I have no clue what evil x and xisuma’s lore actually is, I just seem evil x reference sometimes

Anyways their gems are permanently fused together and have been for a very very long time, xisuma saids that they are basically one person now.

The original reason they fused is unknown (I’m lazy and like other people subjective ideas more)

How do fusions work in your AU?

I had this written down somewhere so I'm gonna drop it here

HOMEWORLD’S STAND ON FUSIONS

As expected, same-gem fusions are more favoured than cross-gem fusions. But even then, fusion is often restricted to specific classes of gems. An example would tha pearls and lower would not be allowed to fuse. They have no proper reason nor need to. This can be overruled if a high-ranking gem allows two pearls of theirs to fuse. This is a little complicated though.

CROSS-GEM FUSIONS + FUSION LICENSES

The fusion license policy is the only thing that allows gems of different types to fuse. However, even with a license, fusions are restricted to those with similar ranks to eachother. An example would be that a ruby legally would not be permitted to fuse with their sapphire. To gain a fusion license however many gems (usually a maximum of 3 depending on the gems) must take an exam, in which they will show off their desired fusion while heavily monitored. If the fusion passes the requirements, that fusion will be permitted to exist. Different fusions will need different licenses. Fusing without license is considered a crime. Fusion licenses can also be revoked for whatever reason.

EXTRA NOTES

When gems obtain a fusion license, it is logged onto a separate system, as the license itself is digital.

Gems and their fusions can be scanned to see if it can legally be allowed to exist.

While it is unknown as to where, there is a secret underground fusion fighting ring somewhere in Homeworld that allows gems to fuse without a license. It is currently and subtly being looked for so it can be shut down.

When a fusion has passed the exam, it is assigned a purpose/job as a reason for forming - this is a regulation that should be followed at all times.

Under good behaviour, and under specific circumstances, a fusion can become a perma-fusion. Though much like fusion licenses in general, this right can be taken away if needed.
