Orgullo, Paz y Amor

Yesterday I read in a periodistic source (dunno if calling it reliable or not) that fucking Hamas was originally created and funded by Israel. I'm really bad at fact checking tbh and I'm losing my mind over this shit. do you know if it's true??
this is 100% true. israel funded hamas to undermine secular left-wing resistance groups like the PLO and PFLP. when i say that israel is responsible to this, i don't mean only in the obvious sense that brutal sustained occupations tend to result in violent resistance, but that they specifically chose to boost and strengthen this enemy because they were more scared of their other enemies. 100% of the violence occuring now is the fault of the israeli apartheid state on every conceivable level

November 9th, 2023:
Journalists from Catalonia protest Israel's killing of Palestinian journalists and Israel's information blockade
The major Catalan journalist unions (Sindicat de Periodistes de Catalunya, Sindicat de la Imatge UPIFC, CGT, Comunicadores Feministes, European Network of Women Journalists, and Solidaritat i Comunicació SICOM) have called for a demonstration where they have raised the names of Palestinian journalists killed by Israeli fire. They set notebooks, microphones, vests and identification armbands piled on the ground to signify Israel's massacre of journalists and its attempt to silence information about Israel's war crimes in Gaza, with an attempt to stop journalists sharing the proof of what's happening in Gaza with the rest of the world.
As the Catalan journalists' manifesto said, Israel's attacks "don't respect schools nor hospitals and deliberately seeks to destroy media headquarters and journalists' homes". The protestors demand protection for journalists in Gaza and also for the foreign journalists so that they can enter and work freely. As of now, Israel forbids international media from entering Gaza.
In the 4 weeks since the Israel-Hamas war started, more than 10,000 people have been killed in Gaza. At least 41 journalists have been killed. Every day, at least one journalist has died. According to Reporters Without Borders (RWB), this has already been the deadliest start of a war for journalists in this century. A reflection of the magnitude of this massacre against life in Gaza.
The huge majority of media professionals who have died in this Israel-Hamas war —36 out of the 41 identified— are Palestinian journalists killed by Israeli attacks. RWB states that they're being "eliminated, one after the other" and that the ones who survive "are at imminent risk of death". At least 10 of the dead journalists were killed when they were "clearly working", according to RWB.
In the last month, Israel has destroyed —totally or partially— 50 media headquarters, including Al Jazeera's office building, Ain Media, and other local press, as well as the news agency France-Press (AFP).
RWB has filed a lawsuit against Israel for war crimes against Palestinian journalists in the International Criminal Court. In fact, it's the 3rd time that RWB does this in the last 5 years.
Protection of Palestinian and international journalists is vital. As is a ceasefire and prosecution for war crimes.

this morning i was thinking about jimmy in canon and about his whole journalism thing for au reasons, and at one point as i thought of scenes with him in them, i thought of how jimmy admired mysterion for not selling himself to shitty periodists and would totally interview him if given the chance... only to realize that is in fact not canon. at all. its from chaos plan. i genuinely thought it was from an episode. what have you done to me. 😭
HAHAHHAHHAHAHSHAGJKSDHGA you know you're doing something right with the characterization if people start confusing your fic with canon 💅💅💅💅💅
This made me incredibly proud thank you very much

civil war review
we're back at thisss
recently i watched this movie called 'civil war', is from this year and i adore it. the movies is about some periodists going to take pictures of the civil war that's going on in usa some years in the future.
i was quite interesed in this movies bc i always felt weird about photographers who are watching awful things happening and they just take a picture. and i thought this movie would critizes that. but it didn't.
it's just a group of photographers going from somewhere to washington dc to keep record of a coup. and it's great, it's truly great.
these people go through some... things, really creepy things to me. but what i believe it is the scariest is the fact that this could happen in not a long time. which is crazy to me

PS: Probably the largest chapter I have ever written 🥹 and i'm proud of It. Enjoy!
Chapter 12: Periodistic sense
"The juiciest news will come in stormy times." It's what Norman hears whenever he feels "useless." He always wanted to be the author of the most important news that happened in the town, regardless of the topic he would touch on. As he gazed at his small workspace, he wrote down everything he did every day and what he saw, which was basically the same but with little drastic changes. As he was scoring he said:
- I think I should eat at least one bread and coffee to have energy- which is literally what I eat for breakfast weekly.
- And that's why there are the best biscuits and coffee in "The homemade touch"
Norman slowly turned his head so that she felt a slight discomfort in his chest and screamed.
-Gah! It scared me, sir.-
It was none other than Gordon leaning out of his office, letting out a humorous laugh in which he forced Norman to laugh uncomfortably. Breaking free from where he was, she walked in and stood next to him, causing him to make slight nervous movements to his head and get sweaty on his hands. He was nervous about what he would tell him, but something in his eyes warned him that this was not the case, something more intriguing than anything.
-Come with me, will you? We have to discuss a pending topic on my list. Norman stands up from the wooden chair and they walk towards his office. He thought his prayers "were" coming true or probably not, but he trusts that whatever it is, he'll face it and find a way out of that gloomy hole. -The guest is always the one who is tested-. He didn't understand what he meant but he theorized it was a saying so he didn't say anything.
-My office is comfortable and cozy, isn't it?
"I suppose, sir, ahem... I mean, yes, it's a comfortable place."
They sat down and Gordon started talking to her about some off-topic, like why do you eat brownies and coffee Monday through Friday? or he spoke shameful blasphemies about him, making him ashamed of his habits. When suddenly he started to talk about skills. "Only few are born with skills and know how to execute them perfectly."
"Do you see potential here?" Norman asked.
-Indeed, you have an ability buried there among all that cloudy head and that is why from now on you will be an investigative journalist. Now,you will go to the places that I indicate you to be able to obtain information, interviews, etc. . . -.
Gordon seemed to say it without emotion, but he made it sound interesting. He could detect it in this moment, on his face expresiones, but he was hard to know what was he trying to express.
-you'll continue writing articles and news, but the ones that do matter-.
-This opportunity is great, thank you sir, I will not disappoint you.-
So be it, Darby. You do not want that it goes back to sleep you in daily news or if? -. No. -Well, be a good boy for now .
-Before you go, I will tell you the first details of your new job class: you will be with the others when there is a special or rare occasion, such as the Tavishes, the mayor, some strange incident or other similar things. You will also be able to collaborate with others to get a "news special" and lastly, you will be involved in a news series entitled: "Raven Brooks Oddities".
- And what is this last one about?-. Gordon remained silent and trying not to feel irritated to talk about this ambitious project again, for which he told him that he would discover it when he already had the exact control of his "hidden ability". So he asked her to go to the first location he indicated: the university.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While Norman went where he had been told, he would never know that it was the start of one of the jobs that would mark his life; Nerves invaded him at that precise moment, so he wouldn't stop drinking his hot coffee. "It's time, Norman."
He entered the building and went to the office to attend to the matter that he had to do, so he headed there. "Is that series of news related to meteorologists?" he thought he. He went into the office and called if there was anyone but no one answered so he turned around and almost fell due to colliding with someone, no, there were two people. One appeared to be the secretary and director.
-Who do we have here this time? hmhmmm- mentioned the director.
-I come from the Raven Brooks Banner and I am-
"There's no need for introductions, Darby, right?" Yes.
"Okay, now that you're here, let me take you where they asked me to take you."
In the blink of an eye he was already in the classroom that he had been told. There were many books, cups of coffee and a great speech was heard from there. -I suppose you already know your job, right?-
"No," he nervously answers. Apparently the director had not heard it and in the distance she was heard saying good luck!
-I like this rustic style of the university, maybe this is the most pleasant thing you can have all day, even as a place to work-. Norman jokes. He began to enter the room and sees around him almost a pile of books and leaves that make Norman surprised. The more he walked in the room, the conversation became clearer to the point of hearing the following:
"See, that boy has the same emerald eyes as you! I'm glad he was delivered safely from the hospital and that he continues to grow as he should, but is another one on the way?" A female voice silently nods. "She will be called Lisa Peterson." Lisa, a female name that fits like a glove. Norman argued mentally.
"The name is not bad at all." It's all the male voice had said. "I've been thinking about Theodore every day and I imagine that he will be, someone in this life, you know?"
While the conversation continued in the stern, Norman began to analyze each sheet and note that he found. Some mentioned about the <<strange events>> that only happened inside the town, like a storm that makes the crows go crazy and certain days it only rains. “No wonder why I had a mega leak on the roof of the house and I didn't sleep for the next three days.”
Norman's thoughts were interrupted when the two voices went towards him, looking at him as if they wanted to ask him endless questions. -I'm Norman Darby, reporter for the Banner! I swear I didn't want to interrupt your conversation! -. He spent a long silence in the room until he noticed that they both seemed to have a very good vibe.
-Hello, banner journalist-. He slowly raises his hand in greeting. - I'm Roger Peterson and this is my wife, Adelle Peterson.
"Nice to meet you, Norman." I guess you came for information. That's how it is. After Norman's unexpected welcome, he went on to ask them questions about their lives, why they consider Ravens Brooks a unique town, and to chat a bit about the debate that ocurred two days ago; They commented that there was nothing to fear about their reputation, what mattered was that the name of the town resonated with the people, but when they heard of a sect, they assumed that they were pulling the strings from the shadows without being discovered, some people would call them “forest protectors”.
As the 'interview' developed, Norman began to feel comfortable with them, so he decided to talk further with them about what they could achieve with the great opportunity that the three of them had been given.
Norman had left the place satisfied with nothing to worry about at all from the Banner because he had obtained enough data and said: What a day!
Doncs, va, parlem de l’extrema dreta i de periodisme
El racisme és la gran proposta, la proposta central, d'Aliança Catalana, cap on volen portar aquest país
Estic convençut que els mitjans tenim bona part de la responsabilitat del creixement innegable de l’extrema dreta a tot Europa. Parlar-ne ja és legitimar-los. I discutir-s’hi és perdre el temps. Per tant, escric aquest article amb dubtes, però en vista que alguns lectors amics el consideren necessari.
M’haureu de permetre, primer de tot, que reafirme el meu compromís personal. No he escrit mai a les ordres de ningú ni he tingut mai por de dir en públic allò que pense. No sóc ací per a dir coses que agraden als lectors, sinó per a dir les coses com són. Evidentment, us pot agradar més o menys allò que dic i no entraré mai a discutir-ho en públic –la vostra llibertat d’expressió és tan sagrada com la meua. Però, al costat d’això, crec que tinc el dret de reivindicar una coherència de dècades. No m’he mogut del meu lloc i no m’he deixat pressionar mai per ningú. I aquest ningú també inclou els lectors o els subscriptors.
Els periodistes descrivim les coses i eixa és una de les nostres funcions bàsiques. Passem hores i hores llegint, estudiant, escoltant i, de tot plegat, en traiem unes conclusions que transmetem a la societat. Escriure un article com aquest és la part més ínfima de la meua feina; documentar-me, escoltar i estudiar n’és una de molt més gran. Per exemple, en el cas que ens ocupa, m’he llegit tota la documentació pública sobre Aliança Catalana i he mirat amb regularitat els vídeos dels plens municipals de l’Ajuntament de Ripoll, que, per sort, són tots accessibles en aquesta pàgina. Crec que no hi ha cap intervenció d’aquesta senyora que no haja escoltat, i és a partir d’aquestes lectures i aquestes visualitzacions que puc dir, efectivament, sense tenir cap dubte, que Orriols és una representant política de l’extrema dreta. Pels fets. Per allò que diu. Per com ho diu. Per allò que proposa.
A Europa, avui dia l’extrema dreta, dissortadament, és en alça. I ja he explicat en editorials anteriors que considere que la culpa la té, sobretot, l’esquerra caviar. Perquè ha fet un tomb intolerable i ha abandonat les classes populars i, molt en concret, la classe mitjana, les ha expulsades de les ciutats –tal com ja passa a Barcelona– i ha creat una aliança de professionals que viuen del poder, una aliança que gira entorn de propostes extremistes i sovint incomprensibles. I de l’insult, la desqualificació, com a feixista, de qui els va en contra o de qui alça la veu per dir que això no té trellat. En vaig parlar molt especialment en aquest editorial.
El cas és que aquest intent de camuflar l’abandó de les causes socials ha portat l’esquerreta a exacerbar les característiques específiques d’alguns grups socials, que han volgut convertir en reserva de vot alternativa a aquells que perden pel seu tomb. Fins i tot quan la incoherència és esclatant. Que ací l’esquerra defense públicament el vel islàmic els mateixos dies que les dones de l’Iran es posen dempeus de manera heroica per alliberar-se’n seria còmic si no fos tràgic. Per exemple. Però no ens enganyem, tampoc: això no té a veure amb res més que amb el caciquisme. Hi ha partits d’esquerra que volen capturar el vot islàmic, com si fos una reserva de gra, i per mi aquest és un problema gros, avui. La seua frivolitat i la seua barra amaga un simple càlcul cínic de quants llocs de feina, de quantes cadires, significa aquesta adhesió.
Ara, dit això, tota aquesta estupidesa no justifica de cap manera caure en mans de l’extrema dreta. Perquè l’extrema dreta no vol resoldre el problema sinó aprofitar-se’n per créixer. És clar que es pot discutir sobre el control de la immigració, i se n’ha de parlar, però no és això que vol l’extrema dreta. Ni en vol parlar ni en vol discutir. Vol fer servir la immigració d’arma llancívola. Pretén enverinar el país en nom de la superioritat dels uns sobre els altres per conquerir el poder a partir de la por social. El mecanisme ha funcionat a Hongria, ha funcionat a Polònia, ha funcionat a Itàlia, funciona a Espanya i França; pot funcionar ací, també.
I és contra aquesta possibilitat que crec que he de parlar clar. No hi ha cap invasió d’Europa, ni dels Països Catalans, tal com diu tota l’extrema dreta –inclosa Sílvia Orriols. No existeix aquest “gran reemplaçament”, aquesta teoria conspirativa l’origen de la qual tenim ben documentat a França, sota la direcció d’un conegut escriptor xenòfob. Hi ha una cosa molt més senzilla, que és la necessitat. No solament la necessitat de trobar dignitat per part dels qui vnen, sinó la necessitat de trobar treballadors per part dels qui ja hi érem. L’extrema dreta catalana repeteix una vegada i una altra que Catalunya és el lloc d’Europa amb un percentatge més alt d’immigració. No és veritat, però és molt alt. Ara, per què? Perquè calen treballadors per a fer funcionar el país i perquè la natalitat dels catalans és, aquesta sí, la més baixa del continent. Si els emigrants troben feina, que en troben, com és ben evident, és perquè calen. Perquè ens calen. Perquè els necessitem.
I això no hauria de ser un problema especial en un país, el nostre, que històricament s’ha definit per l’absorció constant de població. En aquesta Pissarreta vaig explicar com es formen i per què es formen els Països Catalans i com funcionem. Cada lloc té unes característiques pre-polítiques i la nostra precisament és ser terra de pas. Documentadament. Jo sóc fill d’un home nascut a Algesires i la major part de vosaltres no deu haver d’anar gaire enrere abans de trobar un emigrant. Aquest model, aquesta manera nacional de ser, és una de les causes que l’extrema dreta no haja pogut arrelar mai de manera significativa al nostre país. Perquè si la seua ideologia és l’odi a l’altre, als Països Catalans tots som família d’algun altre.
I, de fet, hi ha una incongruència en el discurs d’Aliança Catalana que em resulta xocant –i que s’haurien de mirar bé alguns innocents que creuen veure semblances entre aquesta gent i alguns moviments separatistes dels anys trenta del segle passat. Sílvia Orriols i els seus sempre parlen dels “estrangers” com la gent que cal conflictivitzar. Però fixeu-vos que no inclouen mai en el bloc dels estrangers els estrangers de Múrcia o de Valladolid –o de Quito o d’Oslo.
I això fa evident la maniobra: ara, com que els convé, proven de traure el cap a partir de la crítica als partits polítics independentistes que tant ens han decebut. S’hi aferren, s’aferren a la necessitat òbvia de la independència i, tal com han fet en tants països més, converteixen la desil·lusió envers el món polític institucional en força tractora del seu creixement. Se n’aprofiten. Però la pregunta que faig és ben directa: per què aquesta gent defensa que un estranger de Tànger o de Rawalpindi no ha de tenir drets socials, però, en canvi, un estranger de Valladolid, sí?
I la faig perquè amb aquesta pregunta arribem al cap del carrer: perquè són racistes. No hi ha cap més explicació possible. I no ens hauria d’estranyar, car la xenofòbia és la característica més consistent de l’extrema dreta europea.
Avui l’extrema dreta és moderna en les formes, ja no és homòfoba, té dones en primera línia i fins i tot defensa els animals i el veganisme. En allò que es manté inalterable, perquè aquest és el cor de la seua ideologia antiigualitària, és en el racisme –molt específicament contra les comunitats musulmanes. I, no us enganyeu, aquesta, i no cap altra, és la gran proposta, la proposta central, d’Aliança Catalana. Cap on volen portar aquest nostre país.
PS. Si voleu no oblidar què som i escoltar una veu que parla amb les dades a la mà, us recomane molt aquesta entrevista a la demògrafa Anna Cabré: “Tothom qui entra a Catalunya, tard o d’hora, es fa català, i tothom qui en surt deixa de ser-ho.”
If Scaruffi reviewed YouTubers #2 - Hbomberguy
Same thing, my own observations but with ai grammar or something like that.
"Hbomberguy has always been a journalist trapped in the mind of a geek. He remains one of the most inadvertently problematic figures in the history of internet documentarists. Where James Rolfe’s Angry Video Game Nerd channeled theatrical rage into a shared joke between creator and audience, Harris took that anger and deformed it into something more insidious—designed not to amuse, but to provoke. What might be subjectively enjoyable is given equal weight to what is deemed ethically correct, creating a moralistic framework that turns every piece of art into a battleground of ideological scrutiny.
While Harris’s journalistic rigor shines in more periodistic works and cases where the stakes are as high as his own fiery eye demands, such as his video on anti-vaccine movements, his tireless scrutiny of art is counterproductive and exhausting, reducing it to a fight over ‘rightness’ rather than embracing its emotional or creative value. This approach has not only distorted the purpose of critique but also cultivated an audience eager to weaponize his content as evidence of their superiority—be it intellectual or moral.
In the end, Hbomberguy’s greatest legacy lies not in the quality of his analysis, but in fostering a culture of combative righteousness, where art and media become tools for division rather than connection. His work, though occasionally insightful, feels more disingenuous than transformative—a dangerous testament to how passion and critique can spiral into self-serving indignation."
Com fort és el recolzament a Palestina per part de Catalunya?
El moviment de solidaritat amb Palestina de Catalunya fa molts anys que és molt actiu. De fet, és tan present que els mocadors palestins són un dels estereotips dels catalans d'esquerres o progressistes en general (és cert que als 2000s i 2010s es veien per tot arreu). Molta gent hi porta molts anys treballant i s'han aconseguit coses per exemple el Parlament de Catalunya va ser el 1r parlament europeu en passar una resolució reconeixent oficialment que Israel és un estat d'apartheid:
També hi ha una part de la població, minoritària però existent (dins de les dretes), que està molt a favor de l'existència de l'estat d'Israel.
Últimament:
Aquestes són només algunes de les manifestacions que s'han fet, n'hi ha hagut més.
Sindicats:
I d'altres que no he publicat.
