Bios:

Patricia: The oldest out of 4 siblings, she oversees operations over at the financial wing of the company she works for, while also finding time to be with the others.

Calvin: A National Guard soldier turned indie graphic designer, his new work is much easier and pays better than the Army, plus he gets to spend more time at home.

Lauren: She works for a film studio out of state, meaning that she has to occasionally work away from home. Though a bit pessimistic on life, it's not as awful as she thinks.

Ian: The youngest sibling out of the other 3, he works at a corner store a few blocks down. Though he wants to find better work, he lacks the willingness for it.

Consisting of Patricia, Calvin, Lauren and Ian Perez, the siblings view themselves as an independent and strong-bonded group of teenagers capable of sustaining themselves in the long run. They live together in an apartment in New Haven, CT, and provide for each other through their work money. Sometimes, they would gather around either at home or at a restaurant where they would discuss about things such as food, weekly/monthly spending, etc. They (especially Calvin) are comfortable living in a cramped apartment for the most part.

Maddy noticed the piles of leftovers stacked around the house.

A plate left by the counter. Another by the tv. A glass filled with soda you never finished.

Even the dessert she’d bought for you. Especially for you. Half eaten.

She didn’t know what else to do. 

“Y/n…” She started from the living room door. “What do you wanna have for dinner?” 

You hummed, looking to the front. Dried tears resting in your eyelids. “Whatever you’ll have Mads. I’m not hungry”

“How about I order some pizza and we watch a movie together?” Please say yes, please. 

“Hmm, I don’t know. I don’t really feel like staying up long,” you said looking at the clock. 

“Please, for me.” 

You sighed. You could use a movie really. Something stupid that makes you laugh for some time. And some warm food. 

And a warm shower too.

“But only if the movie is stupid. And the pizza has to have extra cheese.”

“You bet it will,” she smiled.

“Imma head to the shower, I’ll be quick.” You said, picking yourself up from the couch.

“How stupid would you qualify it?” Maddy asked, taking a sip of her soda.

“I think 7 out of 10,” you said while playing with the pizza crumbs on your plate. “Could have been dumber for sure.” 

“Well, yes but you would’ve said it was way too dumb,” she mocked.

“Oh that’s for sure, yes. I would’ve killed it.” You took a bite out of a slice. “Still might trash it online,” you laughed.

“You’re an asshole,” she smiled, happy you were enjoying some time. 

“You know I’m here for you Y/n, right?” She continued. “For whatever you need.”

“I know,” you said. “I’m trying to open up a bit.”

“Whenever you’re ready.”

The Perez siblings!

I decided to add more members to Calvin's family (in reality I just added 2 younger siblings), as well as expand the lore behind them, more on that later.

The gist is that these four decide to move out to the East Coast after their parents had a falling out and divorced, they live together in a rather cramped apartment where they provide and look out for each other, and they essentially want to dissociate themselves from their parents.

Ive been listening to this song for an hour on loop and one of the lyrics is "I don't believe in god but I believe that you're my savior" and I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what it reminds me off...

ITS THE DYANMIC OF GOD JOEL AND SHERIFF JIMMY VS BAD BOY JOEL AND JIMMY!!!! because after limited life Jimmy has said MULTIPLE TIMES that Joel was the only one who ever really tried to stop the curse and was willing to sacrifice himself if needed, and even though he wasn't able to, that still made Joel his hero. And that's a really intresting parallel to the majority of empires season 2 (which limited life intersected in terms of time) as Jimmy said multiple times to Joel's face that "he wasn't a real god" or something to that effect. He even joined a counter religion with a core tenat being to deny the existence of another gods! sorry for the yap I'm lowkey obsessed with these two idiots
