mercury. cinder will occasionally brush her hand against his or maybe even kiss him on the cheek, but only when she knows no one is looking. they’re both much more affectionate when they’re private, though cinder will be the one showing the most affection then.

♡ : who is the bigger romantic openly? secretly?

neither of them are open about it, but they’re both secretly romantics. they just don’t admit it aloud.

❥ : who is more likely to plan something big for valentine’s day?

cinder. she’d plan it & take care of everything herself, most likely surprising mercury in the process or the night of.

ღ : who is more likely to initiate hand-holding in public?

it varies. there are times when he’ll initiate & others when she does. it all just depends on who’s being more touchy-feely that day.

💕 : who is more likely to make huge declarations of love in front of other people?

they wouldn’t be huge declarations but they would be subtle. i’m leaning towards mercury on this one, with cinder eventually doing them as well.

mercury. have you seen cinder?

probably mercury. cinder has ideas of what to get him, but it’s harder to pick things out for her with how picky she is.

mercury. cinder would, but there are those times when she doesn’t know when she’s able to initiate because she knows how he feels about others touching him.

it’s a tough call because i think they’d both do it, but they’d be the kind of texts that just annoy each other because they’re so cute. they don’t do cute.

neither of them. cinder doesn’t care & she’s sure he doesn’t either.

💙 : who is more protective?

cinder. she knows he’s fully capable of taking care of himself, but she’s still protective of him nonetheless. he does, occasionally, get more protective of her as well.

💚 : who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?

mercury gets sick, but cinder takes care of him. she learned how to take care of others at a young age & won’t hesitate to do what she can to help him get better.

💜 : who said “i love you” first? or, if neither has said it yet, who is more likely to say it first?

hmm… it’s really up in the air with who’d say it first. they’ve never voiced it, but their actions do. they’re both believers in ‘actions speak louder than words’ so that’s their way of saying it. probably cinder though, if we’re going with actions conveying it.

cinder. she’ll never admit that she does, but she does believe in them.

that one song about taking your clothes off ‘cause it’s hot

          he hadn’t noticed he’d left the door slightly ajar,  &  the music playing through the speakers masked any sounds of mercury stopping outside the door to peek in while he changed.

          neptune started with his jacket - unzipping it  &  hooking it over the backrest of the chair in the corner of the room.  then he loosened his tie, undoing the knot  &  slipping it from around his neck, before throwing it over to his jacket, humming along with the tune of the song as he did so.  hands clad in fingerless gloves then moved up to start unbuttoning his shirt, hips beginning to sway with the music, albeit slightly out of time.

          by this point, neptune was fully singing along with the words.  his hips may have been out of time, but he hit every note perfectly, dark brows pinching slightly in the centre as he hit the higher notes.

          tawny skin was exposed as the crisp white shirt slid from his torso,  &  neptune let it hang in the grip of his hands for a little longer as he circled his hips, now starting to match the beat of the song as he got lost in the music.  the mistrali folded the shirt, still singing as he made his way over to the chest of drawers  &  placed the shirt in its designated drawer with his others, kicking his socks off as he went.

          making his way back to the centre of the room, his hands went to his belt  &  unbuckled it, hips resuming their swaying as he pulled it free from the belt loops of his skinny jeans, discarding it at the end of the bed.  once he’d shimmied out of his jeans, he folded them  &  set them down on the end of the bed.  neptune stretched his arms up - forgetting about his gloves -  &  let out a groan as his back popped pleasantly.  it wasn’t until he turned around to face the door, only in his boxers, that he saw mercury standing there.

          he blinked a few times.   ‘ … how – how long have you been standing there ? ’   neptune asked, a deep shade of rouge blooming across tanned cheeks, deep blue hues sliding to the side.

the child is RUNNING towards their mother in TEARS clinging onto her leg. ' mommy! mommy! i made daddy's leg come off! ' oh what an asshole their father was purposely loosening prosthetics to fuck around.

          cinder exhales a  sigh,  kneeling down to envelop their child in her arms in an act of comfort. she promised herself to never curse when they were around, but she would give mercury  hell  for it later. there’s no doubt about that. she bites her tongue as she pulls back to give them a reassuring smile.
