Hey! I'm such a big fan of both shipwrecked and your individual work (only just now found your tumblr though)and I have a question as someone who wants to be an aspiring film maker! What kind of camera would you get if you're not very experienced, but really wanna start making things, but not use too much money bc after all you don't really know too much yet...? i hope this isn't too much trouble! Anyways regardless of your answer I LOVE what you make so much and I hope you have a great day!

This is tricky because cameras change and there’s always a new one on the market that might have newer cooler features and toys.

I can tell you that I started with a Canon T2i, and used the Canon series of cameras quite happily before I started relying on my cinematographer’s cameras more. I currently use a Canon 7D for my vloggy videos, usually with a nifty 50 mm lens.

That said, cell phone cameras are already miles better than the first camcorder I ever shot a short film on in high school, so you can start there!

Basically four books with sci-fi fairy tale retellings and amazing characters... SO GOOD.. and if you're not doing this anymore, how's your day?
