I began to appreciate color and fell in love with the medium when I started photographing weddings. I used to have an inclination towards black and white medium when I started photography about a decade ago. Even now a subject with a good form and texture makes me want to see it in gray scale. But, colour is magic. Colour is your friend, colour is your enemy. Colour is your strength, colour is a distraction. Indian weddings is a riot of colours. One needs to be quick while shooting weddings. And a lot quicker when shooting Indian weddings.⠀ ⠀ I sometimes shoot a sequence of photographs during each mini ritual during the ritual heavy Indian wedding ceremonies. ⠀ ⠀ But, during this ritual where the bride and the groom see each other's face first time (symbolically) after the curtain separating them is dropped, and they shower grains of rice on each other, this was the only frame I could photograph.
