hiiii how are you!! my weekend has been good so far and i am looking forward to the continued break!! now if only i was using more of it to work on my wips...

i am happy to talk more about stardew and who i think fits into it!! obviously i've talked about both kita and aventurine but also i think nanami works too for being the jojamart rep!

he's overworked and hates overtime but puts it in anyway so he can retire early. you've been at your farm for a few seasons, now, and have finally grown and threshed your own wheat. it's enough to make some bread, which you then sell at pierre's. nanami knows not to shop at pierre's—that's the competition, after all—but the scent of freshly baked bread is so tempting. it's nothing like jojamart's bread. he can tell by scent alone. but he resists; he walks by.

he doesn't think of your bread again until you show at the park where he takes his lunch, weeks later, a basket of bread on your hip. nanami can't help but raise a brow. you smell like freshly cut grass and there's a dirt stain on one of your knees, but your smile is bright and pleased.

i see you around sometimes, you say. but you never stop in.

nanami knows better than to be taken in by your bread. by your smile. he asks if you're here to sell; your face falls.

nanami's not sure why that bothers him. he's here to undercut your farm, to undercut pierre—all in the name of business. but maybe, he thinks—maybe there's something more out there.

maybe he's ready to find out.

We might not be 'real' moots because I mostly follow Shigaraki/fandom-focused blogs, but we are moots in my heart, minty. And I always need extra espresso, so thank you friend 😌

And I won't talk about the studies I read because it's all incel or misogyny nonsense these days, but I'm a pretty avid reader so always down for book talk. I read a really good novel recently called Bunny by Mona Awad--it's this like, contemporary dark fairytale, surrealist horror kind of thing that was really unique. I don't even know how I'd go about adequately it, honestly, but her writing style is really beautiful. I read a lot of stuff by this author Francesca Lia Block when I was in high school, and this was the first time in a while I've read anything with that same kind of flowy, lilting prose.

I get the difficulty overcoming the fanfic pull though. I think I took like, a year and a half break from reading real stuff when I first got the Shigaraki brainrot--the anime man had the death grip on me.

Oh gosh I've been listening to this playlist whenever I have a moment since last night AND CAN I JUST SAY I ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT!! You always introduce me to new songs and all of these were so perfect, I love how you included songs with such great guitar playing but also oldies and Spanish songs!! I loved it so much!!! (Seeing Johnny Guitar made me so happy I cannot tell you and I cant believe I never thought to associate that song with Kara lol) I also played Audrey Tell Me over and over because I've never heard the song before and I really enjoyed it!! Also seeing Fever made me smile because I didn't expect to see it on a Kara list but honestly it totally belongs there lol I really enjoy whenever you share music with me and this playlist was just so great, I'm definitely gonna come back to it often!
