Life Update
I'm not dead, ya'll—
As you've noticed, I've been real quiet here and my last post was back in July. Uh, yikes. 😬
So, where have I been these past few months?
WELL, for starters, I've been busy with college since I managed to get back in (love you, grandma), and I've been busy making up for my bad grades because I had to repeat a year and retake some subjects I failed. So... there's that.
Second reason is that I experienced the worst dose of Depression in my life. It was last summer, and I wasn't happy and disappointed with myself and where my life was going at the time. It came to a point that I couldn't take care of myself proplerly (really bad sleep schedule, insomnia, refusing to eat to the point that I look so wasted, not wanting to take care of myself in general) and it went to a moment where I wanted to commit suicide, because I felt so ashamed of, well, me and my own failures. I had a note ready and everything, already committed to do the deed. Though, in the end, I'm lucky and grateful for the people that never gave up on me and helped me get out of that void. My Depression is still there, but I'm doing better now and hopefully continue to improve on that.
Speaking of, writing has been on hold because of that, writer's block, and dissatisfaction on my work. I like where Chapter 1 is going now, but at the same time I can't help but think that there should be something more and that the plot that follows after doesn't feel right to me. Though thankfully I've come up with a solution during my hiatus.
It's a rewrite. The answer is a rewrite. 💀
Not a full on rewrite, but just a few changes to the plot beats I initially had in mind. I'm not going to change Chapter 1, because for the life of me I won't be able to rewrite 26k+ words and the implemented code in Twine without getting a headache or two. But I will edit it a bit to make it flow better. Hopefully I'll be able to make some huge progress and update the demo soon in the near future.
In other news, I've been working on other things like that Discord server that's way overdue. I feel a bit more confident in being able to manage and handle a server, so I might as well try, right?
Sneak peek for the curious minded:
I'm still planning to add more things, besides needing to digitize the custom emojies of the RO's and Emery. Maybe a few more roles and channels will be added, but Imma see where that takes me.
I've been dabbling back in digital art too, albeit few because of my busy schedule and I am working on Halloween art of the RO's that will be posted soon. Nothing too big, but here ya go.
Aislinn and Lothric, oh how I've missed you both. 🥹
On the final piece of news, I'm working on commissions! Well, commission since it's only one for now, but I am thankful regardless. I am planning to open up headshot commissions and smaller, cheaper 500~1k word drabble commissions somewhere in the future. Though for now, if you wanna pay me $10 to write a 2k~3k drabble of your OC and another character from Cheers, then feel free to head over to my Kofi in the pinned post to commission me!
So, um, that's that. For now anyway, and I'm very excited to be able to work on this again after so long.
For those who has stuck around and has been patiently waiting, thank you so much for being here and for being so kind. I really am grateful and thankful.

I have really truly loved all of NewJeans releases, downloaded Phoning but am too old to be bothered with it (sorry gals) and even would suggest I’m a “Bunny” to a degree, though I don’t have the time to really invest in their content beyond the music. But I was disappointed with this latest release, I find the songs pretty forgettable - with the exception of “bubble, BUBBLE, Bubble, bubble” part — I’ve been in Korea for the last couple weeks and am staying till mid June for work and I do hear the songs being played by stores and heard on the streets but then I kinda immediately forget them 😬. I had to wonder if *some* of MHJ’s ‘whistleblowing’ was knowing she was about to put out a less-than-stellar record of b-sides and that she was angry that Illit got Magnetic? Tbf, if IVE or like, idk, Kep1er (that 1 in the name cracks me up) had gotten Magnetic it would have done super well because it’s just that catchy. Not to knock the Illit girls themselves and the rest of their EP is enjoyable to be sure but not the pop-gold of Magnetic. But again, music is subjective - maybe it’s just me who isn’t catching on with How Sweet. It could be the backbeat makes me think I’m at the roller rink in 1993 at summer camp but still not as catchy as the actual songs from back then.
*
Ask 2:
Same anon who sent the ask about How Sweet & Bubble not being quite catchy enough — honestly maybe the other thing is that I have LOST! (And really all of RPWP) stuck in my head and my poor brain only has the bandwidth for one earworm at a time! 😅
***
It's unfair to compare anything to RPWP.
The NewJeans girls are sweet. They make good music. But nothing they've released so far holds a candle to the magic that is RPWP. There are some people who think the hype around Namjoon’s intelligence is overdone, and like I've said before, there was a time I was skeptical about if he actually knew what he was talking about. But that was years ago and he continues to vindicate the belief I have in his abilities as an artist. Acid jazz, psychedelic rock, Fuji music, new school funk, Korean hiphop - all of that seamlessly combined in a contemporary fusion jazz album, all of it his own creation, made with artists he personally selected and respects. Namjoon is very much worth the hype. He makes music that makes my blood burn.
And yeah Lost is stuck in my head too, the bass sequence on Lost reminds me of the sequence on Pharrell's Happy.
That said, I think How Sweet is my favourite track from NewJeans since New Jeans (the song). And funnily enough, I like it for kinda similar reasons to why I love RPWP: the song is avant garde for k-pop and takes interesting risks. And I frankly just like what I hear.
For example, the genre and bassline. How Sweet is in the Miami Bass genre, one of the more niche sub-genres to break out from 90s hiphop. It never really took on, which might be why it makes you "think I’m at the roller rink in 1993 at summer camp but still not as catchy as the actual songs from back then." G-funk, East-West Coast, and Gangta Rap genres got more popular while only a handful of Miami Bass tracks were hits. In fact the only Miami Bass song I (vaguely) remember from back then was Tootsie Roll (I didn't even fully remember the title of the song, I had to google it lol). ADOR could've made another song in the trap genre since that's a more popular Y2K hip hop creation, and their last song in that genre (OMG) was a hit anyway.
But no. They went with a fairly obscure expression of 90s hip hop, which I think shows the depth of knowledge and appreciation for the that era that either ADOR, Min Heejin, or their producer 250, has. NewJeans don't seem to be doing Y2K-type sounds for the fun of it or just because it's on trend, else they could've easily gone for something more mainstream or more modern/popular takes on that era, like Magnetic. To me, How Sweet shows ADOR is very deliberate in their exploration of nostalgia, and in that way they are the antithesis to what is typical in modern k-pop. [Ironically, Min Heejin's whistleblower report (linked here) explicitly called out the sub-par quality of HYBE's operations teams which I believe includes their A&R team (and I agree btw). And Min appears to be mostly responsible for A&R at ADOR, so in reality, it's unlikely Magnetic would've been a song she'd release, but it's still identical enough to NewJeans' sound to support her concerns about Belift and HYBE].
Also, to my ears it sounds like 250 tweaked the bassline in How Sweet to keep it centered in the mix with the synths, something I feel is innovative given the MB songs I've listened to have the bass more forward in the mix. The topline melody is also soothing over the high-energy instrumental, making it feel nostalgic, but fresh. Like, I'd rather listen to How Sweet than Tootsie Roll to that point, but just like RM's RPWP, it's a song that's strange for k-pop. It shouldn't sell, it's risky, but it works because the artists have already established an identity.
In my opinion lol.
I totally sympathize with you finding How Sweet to be underwhelming though. I've had similar conversations with some friends for both Namjoon and NewJeans' latest releases. If my guess is right about NewJeans, they'll continue their intentional/methodic exploration of nostalgic sounds and concepts, meaning for some people it will quickly become a snoozefest. And of course that's totally fine. Personally, I enjoy it.

Is the Lando/Charles competition in woman already over? Aren’t you worried that the story will get boring without any tension or suspense?
I mean the lando/Charles competition isn't over yet, it'll continue but I know who she's going to end up with so to mark it as a full Charles story wouldn't be fair to the Charles girlies right? 😅
So to anon, I ask the question, how is this any different than a story that doesn’t have a live triangle? Like is a romance boring b/c you know, the 2 main character are going to end up together? No. And that’s the case here. There will still be “tension or suspense” because we don’t have the whole ass plot. We just know that Lando is end game.
As for you my sweet, sweet author…as a Charlie girlie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for tagging correctly. There is nothing worse than reading through 10k+ story and having this raging disappointment when you see that it was tagged incorrectly on purpose, just to encourage engagement. Like why even bother tagging it if you knew from the very beginning how this was going to end??? And then the author is confused by people asking them to tag correctly (but that’s a different topic😅😬)
I for one am so so so excited to see what you post. You never disappoint. Sending all the happy good vibes your way, also hoping that shark week is gentle on you emotional and physical🩵
-🪩🪩🪩
Exactly, I know how annoying it is to go through a tag and get everything but the actual tag you've been looking for so it only seems fair to me 😅
anyway, thank you ❤️
and I'm afraid shark week will be nice to me..

I’m pretty sad right now 😞
Isi’s season, even though it shouldn’t have happened before Ava’s, had immense potential that was wasted and can't be regained. I’m not sure I’ve completely accepted it emotionally, but this is the one and only Isi season. It’s not as if DRUCK will say, actually, y’all are right, we’ll just start over and re-do it as it should’ve been done.
In light of this season's flaws and what I hear about their causes, I’m not even sure what to want next. I would be upset if DRUCK ended, especially with its last season being, honestly, its worst. It improved on the original SKAM, and did lots of interesting and important stuff, even when that wasn’t expected based on the show it was remaking — like making their Even a trans man of color played by a trans man of color, having a main dealing with mental illness as soon as they had an original season, and holding a white character accountable for the hurtful choices that she made with the intention of being and seeming anti-racist. Even in its own right, without comparison to other SKAMs, DRUCK is a good show! And I guess I agree with this idea that it’s better for a work to end while it’s good, than to continue, decline, and end anyway, just having become worse and decreased its overall quality. If DRUCK ends with season 7, it ends on the most negative note 😕
On the other hand, though, I’m not sure DRUCK will get another season. If they do, the people behind it are TBD, and it sounds like they've played a major role in the show’s quality. The likelihood that people who will make better decisions will take control AND that a character who deserves it will become the main is lower than I would like.
(EDIT: So not only am I upset about season 7, I don't really hope for anything. "Well, at least there could still be a good Ava season 8!" is too precarious to be a comfort 😬 And anyway, it would be affected by some faults of this season, like that the past bullying and the bullies' attempts to make amends wouldn't be shown from Ava's point-of-view 🙁)
Should I want DRUCK to end, when in that case, it should’ve just ended after what was probably its best season, and then a pretty good one? Should I want more, albeit focused on a character who shouldn’t get the priority? Should I want Ava and Aicha, like Isi and Eren, to have a worse season than they deserve? It’s like an unpleasant Would You Rather — no season, or Constantin season? Mailin season, or painfully disappointing Ava season?
Really, DRUCK should’ve just stopped, or better yet, had an excellent Isi season, or better yet, had an excellent Ava season before Isi's — but here we are, so what should happen now?

Season 1 Episode 4
Starting another episode in my free time today I've got an hour and half, but I'm in a somewhat analysing mood, well see how this goes
Oh yeah, the blackout.
Ooh flashback.
Liz just doesn't feel it with Kyle. And wow someone hurt Rosa bad. That was kinda harsh.
Well, I wonder how they're gonna deal with this. Also, I just thought of this while writing, but I guess technically confirmation Max didn't tell Liz everything, but tbh, we knew that so it doesn't matter.
Isobel you tried that. It didn't work. Also, I really don't thing confessing will work tbh. Like even if he does the circumstances would point to him lying right? I just don't see Liz buying that completely. She wants answers, that'd be too easy.
Oh, Rosa's ex. He doesn't seem so bad tbh.
Lmao, protective father.
Ugh, this guy again. He's really tries to manipulate people. I hate him
Jenna don't fraternizte with the enemy. I hope this doesn't progress in anyway. I kinda like Jenna, so associating with that guy would be disappointing.
How has it taken this long for them to discuss each other's powers?
This is awkward... like "She feels like I'm a murderer" that's not what Isobel meant. Lmao
I feel bad for him though. Like this man is really going through it.
Oh shit. Actual consequences to the blackout. Tbh I didn't think there would be. Idk why, but I just didn't. Poor kid. Like genuinely.
Just casually rolling into to town to manipulate peoples minds. You know, as you do.
Also like, duh she didn't tell him.
Ooh. Calling the old man out. This low-key resonates though. Parents don't trust you, you lie. And don't get me wrong, her dad seems good, and I'm hearing what he's saying too, I just can't relate to his side (yet)
Fuck! What happened? Heart attack?
Ok, that was cool of Kyle ngl. I like him. Sometimes he makes me nervous (still does) but he's a good guy at heart
I like this dynamic. Michael and Maria I mean. Like it seems fun to watch. Also I'm assuming that man's order means Isobel did her thing right.
I forgot about the date tbh. That's awkward, and it's gonna end awkward if they continue with this since Liz is staying...
What is up with Maria and Isobel? Oof. I like this too though. Lmao. Maria is a obviously a good character cause I've found she's played off of everyone well.
I don't know how I feel about getting in Maria's head though. Idk idk. The set up feels like something will go wrong. It's always the set up with these shows.
(Uninportant tangent) Here's the thing. I'm a really anxious person, and I think of literally everything that could go wrong always. So I get really nervous reading or watching stuff. It's fun, tbh, but makes me feel dumb sharing if I turn out to be wrong.
Freak. Kinda rude and backhanded. Definitely isn't gonna help make nice. Nor are the comments during the reading. But also lmao Maria is like spot on and idk how but I love it.
Oh entering her head now and a flashback. I'm getting distracted by the background music though lmao. I love to dance to Shake It. Honestly bobbing my head along as I watch.
Why did Rosa hate Isobel though? Just cause she was the mean girl?
Oh no, this confrontation again. Everytime Max and Kyle are together I get worried Kyle's gonna reveal that Liz told him. It makes me nervous, and had I not been liveblogging I would look it up.
"We're just men" he says where both of them know it's not true. Obviously he isn't aware they both know, but still.
Rosa was gonna run away? The plot thickens.
Max is gonna have to do something. Like quickly.
😬😬 Jenna's about to find out if he keeps speaking like that.
What did Liz just find? I shouldn't ask that because it'll be answered soon.
Max that was not at all subtle... Jenna will be suspecting things now
Wow. Ok. Hmm. That's not great if she's right. Gonna be honest, I see no purpose in this being false, so I'll believe this reveal for now. My one question though, how is Liz an expert in handwriting? Like to the point of matching it? Like isn't that something that takes years of work, and she's in a more sciencey path. Idk. Just nitpicky.
Yeah, this would send someone spiraling. This back and forth on whether it's true or not right now is weird. Anyways. The fact that they're saying it's not true, to pointing how it could be, makes me believe it more.
Don't kiss. And they did. I'm not into this as a ship ngl.
Oh is Isobel still not okay? I thought that was just sort of a general, over did it, drink some nail polish remover and move on kinda deal. (On that note, how did they figure out to drink that stuff?)
This deal about that night is really blowing up in their faces seeing how it keeps getting brought up. Honestly, they probably thought they were in the clear from addressing it ever again as it's been a decade and then BAM! Liz come crashing into their lives threatening everything they've built, what with her knowing they're aliens, and also digging into her sisters past. I do get why these two don't like her. It just kinda sucks that we can't all get along yet. I feel things would be resolved so quickly if we all trusted each other. But that wouldn't be good stoy telling, and then I wouldn't watch the show. Probably.
Look, I know if I look logically, Liz and Kyle make sense and should be a good pair, they communicate well, they're obviously attracted to each other, they care about each other yada yada. But shipping isn't logical. So, imma pass.
Also this thing with his dad was kinda dealt with quicker than I expected. Like obviously they're looking into it, but I expected more conflict over it. Not sad to see a lack of it though
Ugh encounter. Oh this isn't as bad as I was expecting this to go.
Oh shit this confrontation is happening. See this is what I wanted to avoid. I knew it was coming, but why did it come? The betrayal of trust. Thought it is on both sides since he's still keeping secrets about Rosa. So you know, evens out... I don't really want to hit play. I hate moments like this.
This is hurting me. I'll leave it at that.
Agajdbks I'm analysing as I'm watching but I didn't want to hit pause so I kept going back and deleting.
So cage imagery brought up again, taken from Rosa of course. Being burned and needing to hide away in your armor. She's gotta break that cage and leave the safety of course that's coming later. Like this is a story, things like this get brought up to be broken. Same thing with how she only relies on facts. That rarely lasts in storied when it's brought up.
She's terrified is how she sums it up, but that's obviously more than just, "ooh alien may have killed my sister" and also relates to her feelings I'd say, I mean it makes sense. She's scared of opening up, of how she feels, and how he's involved with Rosa.
I honestly forgot more of what I was gonna say but oh well.
Jenna, don't you dare talk to him. Oh, he's fucking manipulating again. I hate him
Aw father daughter bonding. I like her dad
Ok, there lives are sad. Like idk, Michael hits the most just cause he's literally looking for some other alien to save him. It might as well be a child's fairytale tbh. Isobel's is sad too don't get me wrong, but something feels worse looking for someone not there.
And now they know about Kyle. Their lives are falling apart
Oh I'm running out of time I pause too much, I need to go, so commentary is short.
Gah! And of course it's right at the end with a reveal. Fuck me. I basically running to my practice and have no time to process and reflect anymore. I over thought things earlier. Damn. I'm watching the next episode tonight idc that I have to get up early.

Gordon Brown and the "Bigoted Woman"
Gordon Brown and the "Bigoted Woman" - Oh, and NEVER Vote For A Tory Clown! ☝️🤡🚫
Gordon Brown and Jeremy Corbyn basically suffered from the same problem - uneducated, naive, aging voters.
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2010/apr/28/gordon-brown-bigoted-woman
Do you all remember?? That case which got Gordon Brown in trouble in the media, because it was recorded?? In 2010? Gillian Duffy, aged 65 at the time? Asked Brown (probably quite innocently actually - that was the way she came across! 😏) where all the immigrants were "flocking from"?? Gordon ruefully afterwards remarked to his aides that they shouldn't have set her on him because she was a "bigoted woman". Someone left a recording device on... 😬 (But how did it get to journalists?)
It was bad of Gordon, however: he should have been more sympathetic towards Ms Duffy, including of course when speaking to her directly. Now Jeremy wouldn't have had that problem! 😄 But Gordon is no Jeremy. Hmm. Maybe they should've let Jeremy do "meet the public" this time! They might have told *him* what their worries were!
But anyway, without such voters in various parts of the country, Labour would have almost certainly won in 2010.
Though I for one definitely felt then that the New Labour project was, at the least, getting tired and running out of steam. Identity cards? That house-selling certification thing? New Labour couldn't think of more voter-appealing policies than that? Obviously by 2010 they couldn't. Here it was a complete contrast with Corbyn's Labour! But the underlying problem with the voters was the same... They want someone to punish for immigration! At whatever cost to themselves.
Jeremy Corbyn was stymied this time in 2019 by precisely the same thing which stumped, and felled, Gordon Brown in 2010.
(It's amazing to me that no journalist as yet seems to have made this point and parallel. I shall have to have a search on the Guardian website. Maybe nobody wants to admit it because THAT would be admitting that a New Labour representative and a "Marxist" had - AND STILL HAVE - the same problem!! But of course Jeremy Corbyn WOULDN'T have had it, if the more neoliberal wing of his party had allowed him to be clear about Brexit: and embrace the Leave option, which there was also a Left case for. But they *didn't*: so he had to embrace the fudge option. No choice. Really, he was given no choice!! IT WASN'T CORBYN'S FAULT. 🤷)
I still think that a "soft" Brexit would have been fine; and no Brexit would also have been fine for the UK; and a second referendum would have allowed the country to see if they REALLY wanted Brexit. WHAT is wrong, after all, with MAKING SURE, of a decision that is probably final, and almost certainly couldn't be repealed for generations? Nothing, in my considered view. Of course, it would disappoint those I call Brexit fetishists, who so WANT to Leave, they don't care if it just squeaks through... And a "squeakthrough" = democracy. According to these fine right-wing "democrats"! **Not on massive referendum questions, not in my book!!** 😏
I tell you what we need, to stymie all the mad fetishists, on ANY possible referendum subject. This would put a spoke in their wheel of useless obsessions, which "profit not".
Firstly, we need MASSIVE electoral reform, and not just everything tilted towards the Tories as it is at present. (And didn't (New) Labour see that it COULDN'T rely on the first-past-the-post system long-term? That RELYING on urban areas and ex-industrial areas for a Labour majority was INCREASINGLY a gamble!)
We need Proportional Representation. Take it to the courts if necessary. (Sturgeon is.) Stupid fucking Tories. We can't continue with an unfair system biased towards the Tories, where so many people's votes "don't count". THAT'S not democracy!!
Secondly, we need a clause saying that ANY future referendum, on ANY subject, needs a 5%+ majority to pass it. Simple as that. No more stupid fucking tiny majorities on massive issues. WHATEVER the issue. (Yeah, I know that might include a PR referendum! 🙂 BUT WHO SAYS WE NEED A REFERENDUM TO GET PR??!)
For me, Brexit was highly unimportant: whereas a Corbyn Labour government was paramount! Brexit was just a piece of fluff. It was, however, a piece of fluff I felt and feel could be dangerous, especially if Trump gets hold of it!! Why give people like that the chance?? As is my thesis, many voters are naive and frontal-lobe-challenged, if they don't see this danger...
Unlike Labour MPs, I feel no compunction about insulting people and calling them stupid! 😏 I like insulting people who annoy me! (Though I wouldn't set on the poor Gillian Davises of this world: I have other targets in mind.)
Anyway. But I actually don't like yelling at my elders! Never have. (I myself am middle-aged now.) But were I one of those younger people who knew their older family members HAD voted Tory, possibly for the first time ever - it would certainly be a very tense situation around the Christmas dinner table this year! And the sprouts would taste VERY bitter! 😏
I have been a critic ever since my schooldays. Particularly if I consider people or things criminally stupid. No point flattering in cases like that. That's why I would hate being an MP! 😄
(And we also need ONE US import I think: the idea of "mid-term elections" for MPs, to keep them accountable, and to stop Tory nonentities hogging seats when they're really unpopular: as in the time of John Major.)
But Remainers, you know, I DO feel your pain.. Even though I feel that the Remainers influential in Labour did lose us the election! Simple as that. But I share with you your skepticism towards the option of Leave. I don't see what possible good it can do the economy. It is nationalist bunk. And it might lead to the persecution of people already here. And what if British people DON'T want to do a lot of necessary jobs?!
As for Boris' "Australian-based points system", pff! That is a bureaucratic nightmare and farce. Might as well call it their System For The Importation Of Doctors And Nobody Else! 🙄 I read up about this years ago. It leads to the persecution of European people over there, as much as anyone else. White people putting white people in detention centres. There was also one British business and motivational writer, John G Holland, whose audio recordings I have a few of - he was over there years ago basically to promote a book: they said he had the wrong visa and stuck him in a detention centre with refugees and boat people for months! A Brit! Who didn't even want to emigrate to Australia, in Australian detention! He used the time to write another book and put those persecuted people's stories in it! So much for your stupid idea, Boris!
I honestly think now there'll be more Remain voters who'll leave the country, if they're financially mobile, as you might call it (so YES, UK: there may well be a "brain drain": and you will lose many highly-trained and well-off, high-spending people: FAR more - and better - people than the few spoiled Alan Sugars and such who threatened to emigrate in the case of a Corbyn win) and they might go to the US, Australia, New Zealand or somewhere: after all if you are to live under American trade rules you might as well go to America!! 😄 Than *ever* there would have been Jews who would "leave in the case of a Jeremy Corbyn win," hysteria, hysteria!! 🙄 That latter is a tiny fraction of people, to be quite frank. Whereas the Remain voters constitute approximately half of the country. We shall never know exactly how many now: as there will never be a second referendum to count them. (That would have been an INTERESTING referendum, too, from a scientific pov: count how much public opinion has changed on a single issue over the span of four years!)
But, depending on how many people still feel strongly about their Remain choice, which anyway must be a lot of them, that is a heck of a lot of pissed-off people! Rather than a fraction of a minuscule ethnic minority.
It's a basic ideological break between people that'll last generations, though, won't it, attitudinally: a bit like that between Cavaliers and Roundheads in the 17th century!
The Remainers are hardly likely to take it completely lying down! There'll be more mass demonstrations outside Parliament!
Well: obviously there WERE - and are, a vast amount of people - a majority in certain areas, who are for Remain: just like there are a majority of people in those Northern areas who voted Leave. (I suppose the Remain votes basically split between the LibDems and Labour. Some voters, like me, didn't care that much either way as long as we got a Labour government! Sadly, we didn't.)
There were enough people who committed to making massive demonstrations outside of Parliament earlier this year! And the youth of England are much more for Remain than their parents and grandparents. No wonder Jeremy Corbyn felt he had to try to bring together both sides!
I wonder how that scorn on the part of Remainers (and I forecast plenty of storms ahead! Electing a Tory is no way to pour oil on troubled waters!) will make all the Northern towns feel?? The ones that have got their wish. Maybe they don't care what anyone else or those in other areas think, feeling so left out for years as they do. Maybe however it will be the start of a war between demographic groups. Sort of "town vs gown" thing. Provincial towns against university ones. Thickies against eggheads. You get the picture!! 😏 Well, seeing as the hub said: "the poorer and more low-skilled job you had, the more likely you were to vote Leave"... Even they have admitted that Leave was the choice largely of the uneducated! So. 🙄
So, incidentally: probably not very many doctors, teachers, or nurses; and maybe not many people in a public sector job: which form a large part of the backbone of Labour's support, voted Leave. But people who used to have a decently-paying industrial job, and don't any more: maybe it was them voting Leave - and Tory. **No survey has asked the right questions, to pinpoint all this! Basic overall percentages are pretty useless!**
As well as, of course, a bunch of bloody basically lumpen right-wing chavs!! 🙄
Of course, it will be a TEST of the hypotheses: "Brexit will be good for the economy" or "Brexit will be good for working people", when we actually do it! (It will depend what sort of Brexit, as well! BoJo now promises a better deal - but he hasn't left himself much negotiating time. Watch the clown trip over his clown shoes!! 🤡)
The remarks of I think it might have been a member of the Upper House, satirising Brexit as Alice falling down the rabbit hole, to a magical wonderland of new trading opportunities, she hopes! come to mind! 😏 We're about to fall down the rabbit hole!! Potion labelled DRINK ME coming up! Let's hope it's not Koolaid laced with cyanide...
And it's also going to be an intergenerational war - starting now, I very much hope! ☺️👍 I very much hope the youth in their masses are FURIOUS at having their rights and their future and their economic prospects sold out by their DINOSAUR 🦖🦕 older relations and other such in their community!! Time for a Christmas confrontation, I think!😏 🎄🔥
Michael Moore, the renowned US documentary filmmaker, TV series producer, writer and activist, informs us in his books that Thanksgiving (a holiday which I believe the Americans favour over Christmas and see as their real family get-together time) is often a time of political uproar! As it is the time when different branches/twigs of the extended family meet and clash!
Well: why don't we overcome our British emotional repression and ruin a few Christmases?? *I* would, if I were young and knew how I'd been robbed! PARTICULARLY of a Labour win and free tuition, never mind where the Brexit rabbit hole leads!
Anyway: whatever Boris Johnson thinks, this outcome will NOT promote peace and harmony in Britain, and in the fullness of time he will come to reap his whirlwind of unrest and Union breakup. Whereas Corbyn would have promoted peace, and satisfied (nearly) all the miserable and discontent. Oil on troubled waters. But you fools rejected him... You rejected your Messiah and you chose the robber... 😏 (Another suitable analogy to draw at Christmas, and it will be even more so at Easter!!)
*You* voted Clown 🤡, UK - see what nasty unintended consequences you get, morons!! Boris the Blundering Blond Elephant 🐘 in the National China Shop! 🙄
