my ACEN tip gimmick has been fulfilled, aaand i got a little carried away with it. I haven't had time to draw for myself (or at all, really??) in like two weeks, i needed to Doodle and Have Fun. ... also, i did not think he would get so many donuts. people understand the value of giving treats to fictional characters :) its what he deserves

Meta answer is that i wanted to make AU Donnie look more distinct from Canon Donnie, lol

In universe answer tho, well.... April wears them, and she's the coolest person he knows! Ergo, glasses are cool!

Also, canon Donnie wore glasses as a kid but not as a teen. So one possibility is that while he might've switched to using contacts in the show(?), in the AU Donnie decided to stick with glasses for the reason stated above.

yesterday after my chemistry exam i went to a garden at my uni bcs i was meeting my friends there, and i see this one girl who looks like she's my best friend and i wave to her and i call her name but then i get a little bit closer and i realise.......... that is NOT my best friend and i didn't want to seem dumb in the moment so i just said "oh sorry i forgot to bring my glasses with me today ☺️☺️" and i DON'T wear glasses.......... idk why i decided to pick that lie out of everything but in my head i thought it made sense bcs the girl had glasses on and i thought that she would empathize with me............. anyways the exam was easy and i had fun and i bought a dog shaped marshmallow 🐹🤍🤍
