highlighting some of the more "these ppl understood the post" contributions in the tags & replies
bc some other ppl don't seem to understand the difference between loan words (usually happen bc there is no word for the thing/it is a new concept (ex most languages adopting the word "computer" from english (the french being one of the few exceptions who insisted on translating it to "ordinateur"), ex "Schadenfreude" being adopted from german into english) adding to a language's diversity by introducing cultural exchange & new concepts) and what I called "infiltrating" other languages and what linguistness above called "invasive" (replacing existing common place words and local slang with foreign words unnecessarily (ex french streamer calling his viewers "viewers" instead of translating such a simple word into french (= what made me make this goddamn post to begin with)) reducing the diversity and erasing parts of the historical and cultural context of that language with a word from a language that holds way more soft power in the world, in this case english)
you are not being anti-fascist or pro-diversity by defending the anglocentrist globalisation happening to the non-english-speaking world, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, this has gone far beyond loan words and you'd know that if you listened to non-native-english-speakers about it
if you want fascists to fight, tumblr ain't the website you're looking for
and if you want stats to illustrate why we're talking about english specifically, well lemme show you some of the stats I come across when looking at internet fandom media (which we non-native-english-speakers participate in) subjects like the language and country of origin of fandoms that make the yearly AO3 ship rankings f.e.:

you know english infiltrating other languages due to the internet has become a problem when even the french are doing it
