He shook his head, waiting for Aslan to leave the room. “It’s not your fault, don’t apologize.” he murmured, resting his head on the general’s shoulder, “You’re being overworked...”

Aslan couldn't deny that. He was being overworked as per usual. Running his gloved hand through Peony’s hair, he sighed softly. Wrapping an arm around Peony, he held his love close to him as he proceeded to leave. “First I want to take a shower...with you. After that, we can continue to not leave each other’s sides for a very long time. Sound good?” His usually vibrant golden eyes were now dull with heavy purple bags underneath them. Kissing the Emperor’s head quickly, he whispered into his ear. “I have missed you though. Really.”

"Sooo.... suppose I were to lick you..." He's been lounging around silently for a while now, so it's not too surprising for an odd question to come out of his mouth at some point.

...Currently, the General was about to drop his head on his desk. If only he would allow himself to give into his exhaustion. Distracted by Peony’s question, he glanced his way with tired, slightly bloodshot, and purple bags under those dim gold eyes. “Suppose I were to let you...once we’re back at home...in bed...” Sighing, he scooted his chair back. “I literally can’t concentrate any longer and I know I must look like a wreck.”

“Is that okay with you, Your Majesty?” Aslan may be tired, but he still was trying to reply to the flirting and shenanigans of his partner. Walking over to him, his legs shook just a tiny bit as he did so. He’d been sitting in his office for almost four days straight.

"Aslan.." He spoke quietly as he entered the general's office - a quiet knock first out of curtsy. "Do you... think after you've finished up we can... " He wasn't sure how to word his request, feeling more like they were starting.

“I’m just finishing this now. We can go in a minute.” Looking over to Peony, he frowned. “You okay?” Aslan knew lately they hadn’t gotten to see each other a lot lately. He hadn’t wanted it that way, it just seemed to happen. “I know we haven’t seen each other much lately. I’m sorry.”

“I’ve missed you.” With one last signature, the General got up and made his way slowly over to the Emperor. Rubbing his arm as he looked off to the side.

Please ignore the loud scream from the emperor's bedroom, he's just stretching and felt it necessary to also stretch his vocal cords...

Aslan does ignore this as he continues to sleep, having been awake for days on end at his office.

Ok, so Ryssa's missing but not really cause she's in the library having a nap in her safe spot, and I know that because Asch is chilling out there and Lay's there which makes me wonder if anyone's clocked that since she'd be searching too if Ryssa was really missing but oh well -- POINT IS, don't panic if anyone tells you she's missing. Just don't tell anyone where she is. She'll be mad and probably do voodoo on you or something.

“...” This was just what Aslan needed right now on top of his paperwork mountain and all his other items on the agenda, including a few meetings Peony didn’t know about yet.

Groaning, he leans back in his chair and looks upward. His hand finds its way over his face as he takes a long sigh. “...she’s not actually lost then?”

“Peony...look I know I screwed up...I should have called you for help and I didn’t.” Rubbing his now bandaged arm, Aslan’s voice breaking as he spoke. “I--I just needed to say that I’m sorry and I do want your help. I--I’m just scared...” Biting his bottom lip, tears fell from his eyes finally. Crying softly into his pillow, he waited to see if he’d been talking to a void or if his boyfriend was actually awake at 3 A.M.

He plops a towel bundle down on one of Ryssa's chairs. Inside is a slightly damp looking Luke the cat, who seems rather content - purring loudly. "Apparently he wanted to join me in the bath. I think he enjoyed it."

“That’s so strange. Asch and Rus’ hate baths.” Granted Luke didn’t have to be like them, it was just odd for a cat to enjoy a bath in her experience. “Well thank you for cleaning him. He’s all fluffy,” Snuggling her kitten, said kitten meowed not being able to do anything else.
