PEKFABRIK IN ANTWERP: NOT ANOTHER NIGHT OUT.

If there is one city in Belgium where the nightlife is more vivid than any other,

it must be Antwerp. With the pop-up club hype which lives in the city centre, there’s always another shack to go to. In the past year Antwerp also lost a handful of clubs; Piaf , Petrol , Klub Goud, Bar Gloed all left the building, whilst others entered the city; the new small venue Trap from Hiele and the Ekster Records family and Havn Dam by the lads of Vice City.

Next to all usual clubs in Antwerp such as Ampere , Café d’Anvers , Club Vaag and more, there are some locations who exceptionally open when it’s worth it. De Pekfabrik is actually the house of the fiddle player of Deus, Klaas-Jan. But with an allowance for doing 12 nights a year, the man could be one of the top leading clubs in the city. It’s the only club who has the real “Berlin-feeling” in town and despite it’s in the middle of the busiest part of Antwerp (Borgerhout) , it can hold 800 people inside and nobody of the neighbours ever complain.

Last weekend it was that time of the year again that it opened, and it was wonderful; without pushing limits with online promotions, the place was packed with good-minded people who were up for a dance. If you ever see an event at a location called Pekfabrik; don’t think twice, because it might be the only time you could go there.
