3. 3 films you could watch for the rest of your life and not get bored of?

I’ll give you the three pillars of my childhood!

First one is Tigger’s movie. My beloved. It has everything including the found family trope and a great sibling relationship and even identity fraud shenanigans. I rewatched it last year and then streamed it a few months ago for my Anarchist Gang friends and I was hit by how well the writers and animators conveyed the logic of a story invented by a little boy! Absolutely all the songs are iconic and I cried all over again.

Then you have two straight-to-DVD Disney sequels that are basically the same film: The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea and The Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp’s adventure. I actually didn’t see the originals until years later and when I did, I was sorely disappointed (DO NOT HATE ME. I KNOW NOW THAT THEY ARE GREAT MOVIES.)… They’re both stories about freedom and finding yourself and reappropriating your origins and what it means to be a family, and they filled me with neverending wonder as a little girl! ✨

Ooooh what a big question… I expected nothing less from you 💌

I’m going to be so cliché: romance, to me, is healing.

Maybe you didn’t grow up in the best environment. Maybe the people around you made you feel like you were weird, or too much, or like you didn’t belong. Maybe a previous partner screwed you over… Maybe all you’ve ever known is sharpness, so that’s how you behave, without even realising it.

Romance is the arrival of someone in your life who knows exactly what you’ve been through, but experienced it a little differently. Someone who is both extremely similar to you and extremely different. Someone who forces you to rearrange your worldview and who rearranges theirs to include you… Above all, someone who is gentle with you, and a little bit crazy about you, and makes you a priority always.

I just described Feligami, and that’s not a coincidence. I think I didn’t realise exactly how much I wanted this for myself until I saw them onscreen… BUT ALSO!!!!! How much I literally didn’t want anything less than what they have, which was a huge revelation. I’m demiromantic, I could perfectly live my entire life on my own and be very happy: if I’m going to make room for a partner, they’d better draw hearts on my window and rescue me from exhausting social functions and be ready to cause a car accident to get me out of a villain’s claws.

Now if you asked me what love is, that would be a different story! 💌

Outside of the obligatory “my loved ones” response… Reading in a café, or in bed with the rain battering against my window. Waking up to the seagulls’ cacophony song. Re-reading something I wrote and being goddamn proud of myself. Also, I watched the new Miraculous episodes this morning (or rather only episode 2 so far, which is the first they aired, go figure), and THEY GAVE RYUKO LITTLE HAIR SPIKES. MY GIRL. SHE HAS LITTLE HAIR SPIKES. HOW DO YOU EXPECT FELIX (and me) TO BE NORMAL ABOUT THIS AAAAAAW ❤️🐉

24. What’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for?

I think I’m good at reevaluating when I’ve been wrong without wallowing in guilt. Critical skill, me thinks. You don’t actually learn anything from shaming yourself ad nauseam.

Shiyuu and Uriel are just normal humans. They both ended up in this world by strange circumstances. However, neither are oblivious to the dangers that NRC holds.

Shiyuu finds it exciting. Real monsters? How thrilling! It’s just like the books they remember reading. From what they can remember, at least.

Uri is a bit more cautious. While they may be outwardly lighthearted and playful, they’re observing. Taking notes. Learning the patterns and traits of each person at this school.

~ 🦋🤍 ~

Yuume used to be human. However, they were turned into a vampire by a former student, now cursed with immortality and a bloodlust that is nearly insatiable. He doesn’t let this get in the way of anything, though. He only feasts from animals that are already dead or dying, putting them out of whatever misery was inflicted on them previously.

One of the perks of being turned happened to be the immunity of most diseases. Aside from that, Yuume can turn into a bat if she so wishes, or a Pegasus. The Pegasus is…harder to explain.

They prefer to hide in the shadows rather than be outwardly hostile, too anxious to actively hunt humans down. However, they are far from soft. Push them too far or hurt their loved ones, and they won’t hesitate to hurt back.

Seraph is also a vampire, but doesn’t really pay much mind to it. She treats it like a normal thing. The school happens to supply blood banks for the vampires who are less willing to feast on humans (per the students’ request…Crowley was a bitch to convince).

~ 🐾 ~

Werewolves were not common in Pomefiore. But, Chase happens to be one. Despite the rivalry between werewolves and vampires, Chase is doted on by the others in the dorm. Perhaps it had to do with his domestic origins. He wasn’t really a werewolf, more of a weredog. He was sort of treated like a very beloved show dog…not that he minded. His fur has never looked silkier!

~ 🎋 ~

One of the two war generals was not quite what people expected. Wuzhi is the descendant of the Monkey King and heir to the throne, a highly respected warrior despite her outwardly young age. However, she is still reckless and uncontrolled. Because of this, her adoptive dad (Lilia) has access to the tightening spell attached to Wuzhi’s golden circlet, the same one used by her grandfather, Sun Wukong. It’s the main reason why she hasn’t gone on a rampage when bored…she is very capable of releasing mayhem on the entire school and more.

Her powers are far beyond understanding, even she’s still learning. Her potential has made her one of the biggest threats, should she ever get bored of living quietly. Fortunately for the rest of the world, that does not seem likely.

~ 💭 ~

No one at the school knows the origins of the mysterious dragon boy that showed up one day. He seems bonded to the two humans, however.

An intense aura of power radiates from his being. Inno is a being of pure magic, born from science and sheer will. Blood has stained his hands…not that he lets anyone know of it. He covers his past with cheerful smiles and a playful attitude.

Just don’t push too far. For everyone’s safety, okay?

~ 🐈‍⬛ ~

A bakeneko is lurking in the shadows of Octavinelle. This yokai goes by the name of Rocky. He’s a sarcastic and laid-back person, but he has a fiery temper and a vengeful soul.

Formerly being an abandoned kitten, Rocky became a vengeful yokai that slaughtered the ones that abandoned him without remorse. He now ends the lives of those that are abusive to their pets, cats in particular. Being able to shapeshift into a human is certainly helpful for this goal, especially since he happens to have a natural charisma about him.

Sadiya Abadi is known as the Harpy of Scarabia. Technically, they’re a harpy-siren hybrid…they don’t look nearly as monstrous as the other harpies of her species, thanks to her siren genes. However, she still can be monstrous in personality.

She often uses her voice to lure wayward souls to Scarabia and provide food for the rest of the dorm, feasting on them once the others have taken care of the dirty work for her. She’s very respected in the dorm, and protected due to the luxurious feathers sprouting from her arm-wings and tail.

One of two homunculi in Diasomnia. Not much is known about Binx in particular, but they can certainly give humans quite the fright when he removes parts of his body entirely.

~ 🦉 ~

You might expect some kind of harpy, like Sadiya. But, no. Anya is a witch.

…okay, maybe you were expecting the witch.

Witchcraft is natural for some specific humans, making them essentially…not quite human. Witches have pointer ears, sort of like fae. A natural knack for spells and potions comes with this genetic trait, and witches all have varying— yet high— levels of mana, or magic energy.

Although, Anya mostly uses it for pranks.

Emma is a selkie adopted by sea monsters.

…yeah.

Emma is a peaceful person, preferring to feast on fish rather than humans. However, you still shouldn’t mess with them…their family is extremely protective, especially when they’re in their human form. Someone is always protecting them. This is due to their seal skin, which they shed when they turn human. If it’s taken, then they can’t return to their seal form. This is, to put it bluntly, very bad. Thus, they’re always protected.

Argos is a mad scientist, to explain it simply. Mai has sort of become his assistant, being a project come to life…like Frankenstein’s monster. However, the difference is that Argos actually cares about Mai. Martha is also there, sort of like a sister to Mai.

This one is hard to explain LMAO

Ever see something move from the corner of your eye? Something creeping in the shadows at the dead of night, staring at you while you sleep. When you wake up and can’t move, he’s there. Standing at the edge of your bed, staring into your very being.

Silas is a sleep paralysis demon, as well as a well-known cryptid. He usually lurks the Ramshackle courtyard, scaring any poor soul that wanders onto the property. He is tall, imposing, ominous…some say that a few have even died just from seeing him face-to-face.

#it makes the segue from the real world to the story world sooo much smoother

#& there is a lot of disorienting chatter going on even as the named characters appear on scene (Ragueneau & Le Bret & Christian)

#bc I'm sure the audience irl is also taking its time to find seats & settle down

#the only real difference & it's kind of charming is the 1640s theatre experience vs the contemporary one

#& by the time Cyrano shows up we are REALLY watching a play. the transition is complete

#Cyrano in the story world is also an audience member but in our world he is a character on the stage

#the DELICIOUS duality of this... & the extent to which Cyrano is aware of his performance

#after he shuts down La Clorise the audience is lamenting that they came to see a play & missed out

#& I suspect part of why the tirade du nez & the ballade du duel are so Big is bc he knows & he's making up for it

#he's giving them the show they missed

#the stage directions even say 'people take notice & stop exiting the theatre. by the end they have taken their seats again'

#I just love love looove the way Cyrano is often performing in his life

#he establishes & behaves around a 4th wall of sorts in his life

#which by extension makes him rlly delicious to watch bc it feels like he's Aware of the actual 4th wall

#he never breaks it & only leans on it occasionally e.g. to make a witty aside

#but he's such a PERFORMER of a man that it fits the character perfectly & doesn't break immersion the way most 4th-wall breaks can

They’ve become the audience but they haven’t fully left their role as characters inside Cyrano’s play yet. The show goes on and we don’t get to see its conclusion: instead, we immediately move on to Act II, where Cyrano recounts his exploits, then to Act III, where he slips under Christian’s mask, then to Act IV, where he tragically doesn’t get to drop said mask, then to Act V, where he’s both playing “le viel ami qui vient pour être drôle” and pretending not to be dying… so Cyrano’s masquerade literally covers the entire duration of the play, from his first appearance to the panache line! 🪶

so what do u think about plays

i like how in a theatre time and space are necessarily metaphorical. i don’t like how plays always have to begin with someone walking onstage and talking. too many directors try to work around this by having someone walk onstage and brood in silence for a moment before talking. this is worse.

SOooo, it concerns obviously about only angels. But what is exactly an angel according to me?

Here my vision:

Species

They are officially angels! Whatever they born or ressurect as it.

Conscious

As it said, a personified consciense of someone -accompanied mainly by demons too- that we usually see in cartoon.

Winged Item

An object, a little animal, a food- whatever with cute lil wings :3

Appearance

Nothing confirms directly they are as species but they're very much alike and/or creators took totally inspirations from angels. Or they assume to have the role of an angel.

Disguise

People who wants to be simply disguised as angels.

As Birds

They aren't at all angels but if they are humans/humanoids with wings on their back weeeeeell-

Some Gods

Not at all angel I know but it is to me if they have wings.

Black Wings

Or mainly fallen angels, they will appear in a special event.

From the Original

More exactly from the religions, mythologies, legends etc.. It will be used as a thank you for number of followers the blog has (every 50 followers)

The ones who won't be considered as Angel of the day are:

If JUST names

For example, Angel (My Little Pony), Angel Dust (Hazbin Hotel) or Angel (Rock & Rule) etc... won't be count because they don't refer anything at angels except simply their names, despite it can be a pun/contrast sometimes to their personality, design or what they do

If JUST nicknames

In sense where people uses angel as a compliment nickname to someone they appreciate. Which is used alot for all and nothing so nope it won't be counted.

Sphinx, Sirens, or whatever hybrids with wings on arms

Fan made

I accept only official content. If it's imagined and made by a fan, that's a nope, sorry.

Now last things to know:

In case you might not notice this is my first 'Of the Day' blog so my way to show people might be weird, maybe.

An Angel of the Day will be post only one by day (until I have nothing OR I am busy OR I am too lazy-)

If there is two angels which are from the same media, the second one will be post the next month after the first.

You can submit/send me any angel you know! The only media I will refuse is hentai/pornography content. Ecchi is fine, dw.

A Masterlist will be coming eventually when I will have maaaaaaany angels to present.
