biggest fan - pedri
prompt: the famous midfielder hits you up
warnings: grammar issues
credits to owners for all images.
“pedri, who’s your top artist on this year’s spotify wrapped?” another day, another time for filming barca content. the content directors really knew the way to fans’ hearts.
laughing at the question. balde and gavi already knew his answer. smiling very suspiciously behind the camera.
“it’s been a tough year. i’ve explored many different genres of music. except, i always see myself going back to y/n’s music. something about her voice and the beats match very well.” gavi wanted to laugh at him so bad. he basically just professed his love right in front of the world. the media would enjoy this.
shutting the camera off, everyone applauded him.
“sometimes i wonder why you’re so scared of her. i mean, who wouldn’t want the pedri gonzalez.” gavi knew that pedri’s crush wasn’t gonna get better as he kept it hidden.
“one message couldn’t hurt. it’s a break or make.” balde joined into the conversation in the locker room.
to pedri, you had an unforgettable voice, face, or any type of charactistic. you were simply just unforgettable. and you knew it too, which explains why your song “unforgettable” was his number one song. he really considered reaching out.
when the video was posted, people were begging for the relationship to happen.
messages after messages were flooding your account. comments going crazy.
but there was a specific message that stood out to you. a message from an account that goes by pedri.
pedri
hey.
a simple text back wouldn’t hurt. would it?
y/n.l/n
hey!
pedri
i just wanna apologize about the interview. didn’t think it would blow up the way it did.
y/n.l/n
it’s perfectly fine! thank you so much for appreciating my work. :)
you should’ve seen his reaction to that text. he threw his phone and immediately started freaking out. the pressure was on.
pedri
i was just wondering, would you like to go out sometime?
y/n.l/n
i would love to
one fancy dinner date ended up being multiple dates. soon, it was official. articles after articles came out, but it didn’t matter.
your song dedicated to pedri went #1 on all platforms. fans noticed how your voice became stronger and the lyrics really felt heartfelt. he really brought the best out of you.
it was adorable how before you performed the song dedicated to him, he would peak his head out in any way or form to make sure it was known that he won your heart.
who knew a simple text could lead to the world’s biggest “it couple”. pedri’s confidence never went unknown. it was definitely a story to tell to your future kids.

fluff with pedri?? maybe dad pedri at camp nou?? 🤷♀️🙈
pairing pedri x f! reader
summary: you visit camp nou with your two year old son and pedri shows him how to own the pitch.
izzy‘s non-sense talk: okay, this killed me. have my child, please. i can only imagine him being such a great dad. hope you like it! and thank you for the request!
when the culers bought their tickets to the game, they expected a win from the team, they loved so dearly. what they did not plan on, was seeing a fan favorite midfielder in his most vulnerable state. on the pitch, when the minutes ticked away, pedri owned the game. dribbling out the enemies, finding the loopholes and adding assist after assist to his record.
the clear win spread happiness through camp nou, the individual players celebrated with the culers, clapping and singing the hymns they created. while most of them were occupied by the non-stopping cheering, pedri snuck away from the team to greet his two year old son, paulo. it was the first visit to camp nou, the little boy would remember. after all, he was a weekly guest when he was only a couple of months old.
pedri always tried his best to keep paulo‘s face out of the media, and hidden from the annoying photographers. this time, it was very different. the little hand disappeared in pedri‘s calloused palm, leading the two year old towards the empty goal. a football in his free hand, the midfielder wanted to show off the brilliance of his son to the culers and his mates.
paulo tried to hide himself behind his father‘s leg, the large crowds much scarier when standing in front of them than being in the middle of it. and as if the scene was planned and prepared, a couple of left over teammates started to shush the culers with their hands to allow paulo a perfect, and fearless first appearance in front of the crowds.
lewandowski has done it with his kids, showing them to the world with a proud smile plastered on his face while celebrating another win, another two goals he scored with them. but pedri has always been more protective with his son, always trying to keep foreign people far away from him.
pedri saw how much paulo imitated his father at home, trying to dribble the ball with his little feet, and outplaying you in the living room. and this time, the midfielder wanted to give his son the real chance to feel the cheering of the fans, the loud clapping and the hymn echoing through the stadium.
sharing smiles with his teammates, pedri led the little boy towards the white point in front of the goal. shooting a penalty was easier with no goalkeeper, but ter stegen immediately took his place in front of the net with a wide smile. obviously, he would not catch the ball, no matter how easy it would be.
crouching down beside his son, he whispered little hints about the goalkeeper‘s habit‘s into his ear, earning an understanding nod from paulo. „do it like pepi.“ you shouted from the sideline, clapping your hands together for your little everything. a small exemplar of pedro, the hair as black as charcoal, the sun-kissed tan a mixture of you and him. dressed in his own little jersey with ‚gonzalez‘ written on the back, paulo took a couple of steps back and showed ter stegen his tongue with a smile.
a signature gesture, a celebration gesture his father once made before pedri potter was born. truly exactly like the proud father, dressed in the barcelona kit with the number eight on the back, who stood beside his son with a wide smile. pride glistened in the curve of his mouth, and even tears gathered on his waterline, seeing the grown up little guy with his two years. paulo was everything pedro wanted after meeting you, and falling deeply and madly in love.
running forward, paulo kicked the ball with all his strength, watching with big, brown eyes and expectation. the ball jumped once, jumped twice, and ter stegen fell in the right direction but way too slowly and it rolled over the line. paulo could not believe what was happening, raising his hands in the air and running straight to his father, who watched proudly.
behind ter stegen, the culers cheered loudly, shouting pedris name but clapping for paulo‘s goal. the midfielder reached out for his son, picking him up in his arms with a wide smile. „did you see? i scored a goal just like you do!“ paulo boomed with happiness, giggling between the words.
„yes, yes, you did.“ pedri encouraged the little boy in his arms, his own world, he held tightly. „you just did it much better than pepi ever could.“
from the sidelines, you had your palms pressed to one another, the side of your fingers against your lips. pedri has been a good father before paulo was even born. always so caring, always so loving towards you and the growing belly. it was more than you could have imagined the night, you met the midfielder and engaged in a conversation.
the man you loved, who pressed a chaste kiss to the crown of paulo‘s hair. the little boy that looked exactly like his father, and would grow into such a great person as well. it was perfect.

Level 8000 (Gavi x Reader)
28 day writing prompt challenge - prompts are here
Day 6: Meeting for the first time
"Alright I'm going to get onto an online server. No one try to reach me for the next several hours."
Your roommates laughed at the warning as you slipped your headset on. You adjusted the ears, bringing the mic over your mouth, and settled back into the couch. Your hoodie and sweats swamped your form, providing maximum comfort for your gaming session. Were you a fantastic gamer? No. But had you fixated on two or three games for long enough to get good at specifically those games? Yes, yes you did. One of those games was FIFA. You had played all the events throughout the World Cup, in between the early morning matches, and late at night when your 7pm Redbull kept you up until the early hours.
This binge playing over your winter break, as well as the game events, lead to you having a crazy stacked team. You had a super high Neymar as your front man, meaning that as long as you got the ball in the last 1/3 of the field, you were almost guaranteed to score. When all your real life friends had grown tired of you winning 7-0, you turned to PS online. People on the internet were ruthless. You played against stacked teams, losing your first dozen matches. But as you practiced and upgraded your players (as well as googling some good team formations), you started to win. Your win-loss ratio improved immensely with the addition of one piece of equipment: headphones with a mic. You started to join the voice chat, and the sound of a woman sent these poor gamer boys into a frenzy, allowing you to score two goals before they could recover.
Now it was your escape. You loved the power of overwhelming men just by saying "good luck", and the profanities that followed when you won. Tonight was no different. You had already beaten four different whiny men, and had tied a game with another girl on the voice chat, who practically squealed with delight when she heard the sound of your voice. Now it was time for match number 6 of the night, and you were sufficiently warmed up, ready to destroy.
[Opponent] - 6avira30
You smiled, thinking to yourself 'Awe, a Gavi fanboy. I wonder if he has him in midfield." The audio connected, and you heard a couple different male voices yell at each other in Spanish.
"Hello?" You said softly into the mic. Couldn't have them think you were anything other than a soft uwu girl using her boyfriend's account. The voices stopped suddenly, with a long pause before the reply: "Are you a girl?" You laughed at the question. It was not the first time you had gotten it, but the utter confusion in the boy's voice caught you off guard. "Yeah, I am. Hurry up and lock in your team so we can start the match." "Ay, be patient. My great strategic mind needs time to work."
You groaned into the mic. These "strategists" often were the most annoying people to play with, and often the one calling you a cheater or a bot or saying that your "man" was playing while you were on the mic. You locked in the same team you always used, and waited for the great mastermind to lock in his squad. The match began a minute later, and you were not surprised to see it was mostly Barca players, old and new.
"Wow a Xavi-Iniesta midfield. It's been a minute since I've seen that." You said, trying to get the ball across the center line.
"They're the best duo in the world. Everyone should have them in the middle." The boy replied, harshly attacking all your midfielders. It had been a while since you encountered someone who played this aggressively, but it was interesting enough to get you to sit up straight.
"Really? Given your tag, I thought you would have Pedri and Gavi in the middle."
The boy got quiet at this, the statement clearly catching him off guard. It was the lapse in focus that you needed, getting the ball to your super-charged Neymar, and slamming a goal in from outside the box.
"What the actual fuck was that?" A yell came in from the other side. You laughed freely now. This was a fun match. You were being challenged in the middle of the field, really having your defense tested. The boy kept you entertained online, asking all the typical questions about how you got so good. The match ended 3-1 to you, and you were about to say goodbye when a notification popped up on your screen.
[6avira30] - Rematch Requested
"You want to play against me again? One loss wasn't enough?"
"I'm not going to lose again. I just have to recalibrate the squad."
You continued playing against the same opponent for 7 or 8 matches in a row, the conversation moving from the game to your lives.
"So you've never been to a football match in person? How is that possible? You live in Barcelona!"
"I'm a university student who is struggling to pay my rent. I don't have the time or money to buy tickets. Well, at least the tickets that I want."
"Well, what tickets do you want?"
"I want the ones that are right up on the field, so at the end of the game I can ask Lewy for his shirt at the end?"
"Lewandowski? Not one of the younger players?"
"Nah, everyone is always yelling for Gavi's shirt. And while it would be nice to see Gavi or Pedri shirtless, I feel like if I was ever lucky enough to get one of their shirts, my life would be in danger. So I would rather get a shift from DILF Lewy."
A loud laugh came in through your headphones. The boy yelled at his friend in the room, "She just called Robert a DILF."
At the end of the match (a 2-1 win for you), it was time to log off. You informed your online partner, bidding him a good night.
"Wait wait, before you get off, could you send your number in the chat? It's fine if not but I'd really like to talk to you again."
"My number? Why not just my Instagram?"
"I... Can't really follow you on Instagram. It's kind of complicated."
You sent him your number and logged off, going to bed with a stupid smile on your face. A boy had asked for your number. Could he be a weirdo in his mom's basement? Absolutely. But you could find that out later.
You woke up to a text that read: Hope you slept well - Lindo from PS Live. The stupid smile stuck to your face all day. For the next two weeks, you texted this boy almost every waking moment. You could not get enough of him, despite the fact that you couldn't get him to tell you his name.
[PS Live Boy]: Want to have coffee with me tomorrow?
The text set the butterflies in your stomach free, the fluttering feeling spreading to every cell in your body. You has said yes embarrassingly fast. He texted you the location: a pretty upscale coffee shop in the shopping district. Like 17 euro black coffee upscale. You now jumped up and down like a giddy school girl - PS Live boy had money.
You walked into the place, the hostess looking over your skirt and sweater with a sickly sweet smile, asking who you were supposed to be there with. PS Live boy had left the table under your name as to maintain his shroud of mystery. You sat at the table, reapplying your lip gloss and checking your hair in the camera of your phone.
[PS Live boy]: you can't freak out when you see me
[PS Live boy]: Because then I would have to leave and block your number
[PS Live boy]: and file a restraining order. and i dont want to do that
You let out a nervous breath, smiling at your screen. Usually when men said not to freak out, it was because they were ugly. The hostess that didn’t like you walked over to the table again, closely followed by someone in a hoodie, hood pulled up to cover their face. She pulled out a chair, and your PS Live boy sat in front of you. He thanked the hostess, before turning back you you and pulling his hood off.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”
Gavi looked at you with a cheeky smile playing on his lips. You were overwhelmed. Pablo mf Gavi had met you on PS live and liked you, asked for you number, and was now here on a date with you.
“Three weeks of being mysterious was worth the look on your face.”
“As Spain’s youngest player on the national team, how are you so shit at FIFA?”
“Okay okay okay, let’s go back to you being surprised and not talk about me getting my ass kicked 8 times in a row. Pedri still makes fun of me?”
“Dang Pedri was there? I should’ve asked for his number instead.”
“You have me leveled up to like 8000 in FIFA. I know you want to be here with me.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/N: this was supposed to be done last night but I fell asleep lol. I love the idea of Gavi being kinda cheeky and self confident. Most talented young boys are (because society inflates their egos). Anyways, see y’all later tonight w day 7!!
Getting real annoyed at people that say they love Gavi and then proceed to list every little thing wrong he does or what he needs to work on to big up other players, even other players at Barca, but proceeds to ignore all the things he’s so incredibly good at.
There is multiple games this season we would’ve lost without him, there is multiple games we would’ve lost last season without the sacrifice he had to make playing continuously out of position. Is there aspects our other midfielders have more nailed down then him? Of course he’s still learning and growing, but there is also aspects that he is better at then others on the team, which those players have spoken about and admire about Gavi.
He is one of the best youngsters in the world, and I wish Barca fans would start acknowledging that.
He is not a Pedri, he is not a Frenkie but they aren’t a Gavi either
you have to accept that pedri is not as good as everyone makes him out to be - there is a reason why bellingham is considered the best midfielder in the world at the moment and that is because he has so many goals
If you need your midfielder (who was actually used as a striker) to score a lot of goals to hide his inability to do anything else on the pitch so that you can have some figures to brag about, that's fine. But do not go around saying that Pedri is not phenomenal, because that is an outright lie 🤷🏻♀️
I need to know your prediction for todays game bebs!!! I think barca can do it, i’d say 4:2
¡visca barca!
i'm honestly nervous. i have some serious traumas from the ucl since the roma game and all those teams that did the 'remontada' on us, lmfao, so the nerves are kicking in. i'm not gonna give my prediction because i'm always AWFUL at that (i usually predict the winner but i can't really predict the score lol) but i'm gonna do some analysis for sure:
1. one of our cms needs to step up and be a dm since we don't have andreas (most likely fdj or gundo or both of them as double pivots while pedri will have the most attacking space probably).
2. i don't think that mbappe necessarily 'ghosted' last time i just think that our defenders did a good job. as much as i hate to admit it mbappe is a world class and our defenders need to step up again (i believe that they will). mbappe has a motive ngl, he got trolled on internet a lot and he probably wanna prove himself tonight, but trying to prove yourself can be a bad thing too (it can results to taking some unnecessary shots and moves just to prove yourself).
3. apart from mbappe, nuno mendes and barcola are the biggest threats AND add hakimi to all that, they wouldn't hesitate to play a really offensive football tonight. xavi made a great thing and did NOT put araujo on rb, just because mbappe is playing there. he realized that he can't have only one player marking him so putting jules on rb and ronald on rcb was the best thing he had done. in paris we didn't played high with our defense which is a good thing and we need to play like that tonight too.
4. BUT they have a big problem too and it's their defense. they have fast and dangerous wingers but i think our defense and midfield is way better. their defense is shit ngl and they make tons of mistakes. let's mention donnarumma too. they are awful at set pieces (corners especially) and we can an NEED to take advantage of that.
5. they are so good at pressing and that can be a problem for them too. one long pass from our defense or mats to the front and that's where their defenders collapse. also we need to press too because donnarumma is bad in that aspect too.
6. the best thing about last game is that we have the advantage. we're in the best situation among all the clubs that are in the qfs because only we won an away game. we have one goal advantage and we need to use that in our favor. we can't just defend the result tonight because if we score the goal first, there won't be any bigger problems for us if you ask me.
7. our players seem really happy and excited about this game and i think that's a good thing.
8. fans there, would help us a lot. more passion, more chants, more anything, we can't be quiet tonight, it's one of our most important games in years literally!!!
9. if xavi does everything tactically perfect tonight we would definitely win, and of course, if our players do their best!!!
10. also forgot to mention that we shouldn't really care about possession, because possession doesn't win you games, psg also plays that 'possession type of football' under lucho so we shouldn't really care about that! (i saw few fans on twitter roasting our players because of that but we literally won a game lol).
11. we can't lose concentration tonight because we saw what happened when we did in those 5 to 10 minutes. we controlled a game and they scored because we controlled it badly in the start of the second half.
long ass analysis, i know, but i had to write it out to make it clear for others that it's not gonna be that easy tonight. BUT i do believe that we can win this.
at the end of the day i stand with the boys always, no matter what happens, so:
Visca el Barça y Visca Catalunya, always! 💙❤️
Pedri: "I think I'm a lot more dangerous as a playmaker"
(Mundo Deportivo - July 3, 2024)
De la Fuente said in the run-up to the European Championship that Pedri had to find himself. And he seems to have found himself.
"I'm feeling very well, with much more confidence, with a lot of desire and above all with the desire to continue in this dream of winning the Euro, which I think we have the team for it."
In order to find yourself again, you have had to make several changes.
"Yes, I changed my nutrition, my physical preparation, I started to do pilates and I've done a lot of different things to try to find something that suits me. I think I've found it."
And some ideas that Ferran passed on to you. Soak in ice-cold water for one minute a day.
"Yes, although I don't think it's really necessary here because it's so cold. In the mornings we always go into very cold water for one minute. It's good to wake up, to wake you up and to get you ready for the day."
It's been a long time since you've been with the national team. Has this change of context been good for you?
"Above all to get away from it all. It's true that in Barcelona I had injuries and relapses, but I wanted to come to the national team, to be here in a training camp with my teammates. I feel very comfortable and I'm getting better every day."
Playing more vertical.
"That's right. A lot of coaches throughout my short career have asked me to do that. They've told me to get into the box a lot more, that I have to score goals and give assists. In that position it's much easier. Also, here I can play with Morata, who fixes the centre-backs very well. For a '10', having a striker like that makes everything much easier. It's a spectacle to play with Morata."
Which attacking midfielders does he look at?
"There are players who may not play in that position but have the qualities of a playmaker, like Musiala, a player who may play as a winger but can play inside. Or Wirtz himself. They are players who have been playing at a very high level for many years and you learn from them."
Musiala and Wirtz. Both will be opponents on Friday.
"They are having a spectacular Eurocup, especially Musiala. Wirtz is also playing very well. Let's hope we can neutralise them in the best possible way. It's clear that our midfield is also very strong and I think we have the best player in the world in that position, Rodri."
Called to be, surely, the stars of the next decade. Pedri, Nico, Lamine, Wirtz, Musiala… They will face each other for the first time. Are you looking forward to it?
"Yes, it's going to be a match where the neutral spectator, the one who doesn't belong to either team, is going to have a great time. It's going to be amazing. It's going to be a match with a lot of magic, a lot of dribbling, a lot of possession. I think it's going to be a hard-fought match and hopefully we'll take it."
Dani Olmo and Pedri also complement each other on the pitch
"Yes, at the last European Championship and at the World Cup we met on the pitch many times.He is a player with whom I enjoy playing together and I hope we can do the same at this European Championship."
You must have heard about the curse of the host at the training camp.Spain have never beaten the host country.
"I've always said that there's a first time for everything and hopefully this is it. It's a curse that sometimes scares people, but not us. It motivates us a little bit more to try to put an end to that."
Beyond the cliché of an early final, are the two best teams in this European Championship facing each other?
"These are two teams that have been very consistent, both in the group stage and in the round of 16. We've always played the same way, the same football, scoring goals and winning games a bit more calmly. That's why it's going to be a spectacular game."
Is there any other team that has caught your eye?
"Switzerland. We knew beforehand that they were a difficult team, but they are having a spectacular tournament and they are a tough opponent."
Their group is usually made up of Fermín, Lamine, Nico, Ferran, Dani Olmo… At 21 years of age, he's already one of the veterans.
"I get into the rondos before Nico because I'm from November, imagine that. We are always together. With Ferran and Dani Olmo we like to banter, we like to joke around. But when the match starts, the jokes are over and we play."
Where you are know as one of the best prodigy on the Barcelona female team. One day, they host a Barcelona event for the male and female team, to which you get really drunk and end up having a make out session with predi. However, what you don’t realize is that you guys were recorded and was later posted on the internet making it a huge scandal. But in an interview Pedri decided to defend your name saying “I can’t kiss my girlfriend” you may end it with a fluff and/or smut where they both end up together.
Claudia clung to me as we walked inside of Spotify Camp Nou. As usual, ranting about how mean people could be on twitter, and how no one had respect female football players. I was used to it, having learned to ignore the comments, but from the minute she had seen me step out of my car, to the minute we walked onto the field after dropping our stuff and getting dressed, it seemed to be the main topic of interest of hers. “Es tan estupido! Solo por que somos mujeres, no quiere decir que no merecemos el mismo respeto que el equipo de futbol de hombres!” (Its stupid, just because we’re women, does not mean we don’t deserve the same amount of respect as the guys)
After finishing her long rant with a sigh, and placing my water bottle on the bench, I responded to her rant. “Clau, entiendo tu enojo, pero solo tienes que esperar, y ver los comentarios buenos. Aun punto aprendes a ignorar la gente.” (Clau, I understand your anger, but just try to look at the positive comments. At one point you’ll learn to ignore people) That seemed to blow off Claudia, because she rolled her eyes, walking off to Keira, while mumbling something about how “of course miss prodigy wouldn’t understand.”
It was true, I wouldn’t lie, I was known as somewhat of a prodigy, after having earned the ballon d’or two times in a row, I had a pretty large fanbase, however a lot of hard work came with the title of “best female football player” I began on my stretches, while attempting to make small talk with Alexia, but there seemed to be one thing on my mind. Pedri Gonzales. FC Barcelona’s popular central midfielder. I’d spoken to him before, but only a few words were exchanged, and he had reposted my story, congratulating him for being Barca’s golden boy, but other than a few spared glances, we were nothing to each to other.
Practice was long. Really long, after angering Claudia, and Alexia walking away after realizing I was in my own world not paying a bit of attention to the conversation I had started, it was boring. And awfully exhausting, yet coach decided making us suffer with extra sprints was a great idea, because we had lost last week's game. “Una cosa más chicas! Mañana vamos a tener una cena con el equipo de varones, quiero que todas estén ahi. Tu también y/n, si consideras la idea de no ir, te tendre corriendo hasta que se te caigan las piernas.” (one more thing ladies, tomorrow we will be having a dinner party with the guys, and I want all of you to be there. Especially you y/n, if you even consider the thought of not going, I promise you I will have you sprinting until your legs fall off.) No way I actually have to show my face at that.
The next evening…
My hair had been done in waves, and I looked in the mirror reconsidering going, (yes I was testing the wrath of my coach) as I straightened up my dress. A black mini dress, with long sleeves, form fitting, not too much, but not too little. Finally, I took in a breath, grabbing my clutch from my makeup vanity, and exiting the makeup room. I grabbed my keys from the small dish on my counter, before exiting and locking the door behind me, seeing Claudia’s car outside. As I got in, I sank into my thoughts once again, not even noticing when we got to Camp Nou. As I walked in, I was greeted by the girls on the team, but also saw the boys. Gavi was the first to say hello. He was a sweet boy of course, only a year younger than me. He was always congratulating me on my wins, supporting me, a truly great friend with a big heart. “Y/n! Llegaste, ¡qué bueno verte! Ven a decirle hola a los demás, estarán felices de conocerte!” (Y/n, it’s so good to see you, come say hi to the rest, they’ll be excited to meet you!)
I followed Gavi, greeting everyone, but only one caught my eye. Pedri of course. He walked over to me, greeting me and congratulating me for being nominated for the ballon d’or once again, saying something else I didn’t quite catch, to distracted admiring him. He pressed a kiss to my cheek, a common greeting of course, but still causing butterflies to erupt in my stomach. I could’ve kept speaking to him, had Xavi not called all of us over to eat.
The whole dinner I felt Pedro's eyes on me. When we all finished, conversations through the whole table, Robert brought out a few bottles of wine. Gavi, being underage, began to frown, before Robert noticed and chuckled saying, “No to preocupes Gavi, traje algo para ti tambien.” (don’t worry Gavi, I brought something for you too) pulling out a bottle of sparkling grape juice for Gavi. The boys face lit up, causing laughs to erupt throughout the table.
A few glasses of wine, 11 shots later, I got pulled into a room with Pedri, also as drunk as I was, maybe even more, his cheeks blushed from how drunk he was. “There’s something I’ve wanted to do this whole night.” “oh yeah?” “mhm.” He leaned in, kissing me, his lips lightly chapped, but I didn’t care. The kiss got more and more passionate, his tongue inside my mouth, he moaned into the kiss. My hands were in his hair, we were unaware of anything that was going on, in our own world. There were lights and flashes all around us, but we ignored it assuming it was from the party outside.
The next day.
I woke up in my bed, feeling a pounding in my head. I was hungover. Badly. I somehow got up from my bed, walking into my bathroom, looking in the mirror. My hair was a tangled mess, I couldn’t imagine the pain I would go through just to detangle it, my mascara was smudged and so was my lipstick, a clear sign I had slept in my makeup. Yikes. As I began to sort out my hair problem, wincing as I brushed through my hair, I heard my phone vibrating on my nightstand. I ignored it, but it kept on getting louder and louder. Finally, I walked over, seeing it was Claudia, and answered. “Morning Clau.” “Y/N. HAVE YOU SEEN INSTA? OR TWITTER? OR ANY SOCIAL MEDIA?” “Uh no, why?” “You. Pedri. Leaked.” My mind went foggy. What about Pedri? Then it came to me. The makeout session. The lights weren’t from the party, they were paparazzi who had been at the party. We were in trouble, fans would speculate, and it wasn’t good whatsoever. “Clau, I’ll talk to you later, I have to go right now, k?” I hung up without waiting for her response, opening my Instagram.
My notifications were blown up, and my feed was entirely Pedri and I making out. I was in big trouble. The guys had a game today, and there was no doubt people would interview him and question him about it, but what was worse was I didn’t know what he would say, perhaps that it was a mistake. All I could do was wait.
The same day, 5:03pm. After the Barca game.
The boys had won. 4-0. A great win truly, but it was time to see the interviews. I had insisted on staying in bed all day, only getting up to shower and eat a poptart. Luckily, we had the day off, but that also meant nothing to do that could take my mind off Pedri. I opened my Insta once again. Seeing there was a video of a Pedri interview from today. Interviewer: “Pedri, what about the video that was leaked with you and football star y/n y/l/n, anything to say?” “Can I not just kiss my girl? I mean, i’ve been getting annoyed about this, not towards you, but towards those judging us. Its my personal life, but yes, as you can see we did kiss, and I regret not a thing.”
Interviewer: “I have to say Pedri, you two make quite the couple. (he turns to the camera) Well, this is Jose Ramos, and thank you for watching, and again, congrats on the win Pedri.”
I couldn’t comprehend it. His girl? Oh gosh. I quickly searched for Pedri’s profile and dm’d him. Tu chica? (Your girl?)
Solo si tu quieres ser mia, amor. (Only if you want to be mine, love.)
Por supuesto que si.
A/N- Its been so long since I’ve written, so this is a huge mess!!! Its kind of crappy, but I’m trying to get back to my writing roots, lmao.
the question is though, what more can pedri actually do… like he spent the entire summer preparing for the season, building up muscles to prevent injuries from happening. he changed his diet. he started practicing shooting with his left leg more instead of his right leg after his last injury. i feel so sorry for him because it seems like no matter what he does it doesn’t work anyways :(
Ikr! Like his post-match interview after he came from injury he was so excited to play again and tbh wtf are the medical staff doing can't they tell player what's good and what's not like c'mon i genuinely feel so bad for him, he is like one of the best young midfielder in the world and have so much talent and potential but injuries just can't seem to left him, that 2021 season really poisioned him.
it’s so unfair that pedri is one of the best midfielders in the world but has no stats to show for it bc he has to work with mediocre forwards that can’t finish the chances he hands to them on a golf platter.
It's unfair and stupid because why should a player like him be judged solely based on stats. People need to start watching games again
barcelona vs osasuna (9/3/23) match analysis
well. i don't know where to start with this match. there were a lot of horrible things about it but there were also some things that were amazing about it, so i'll just go in relative order of horrible-ness
let's start with sergi roberto. i want to thank him for all he's done for barcelona but he needs to be shipped to shanghai sharks pronto, and he can take alonso with him. he should never start a game for barca again, and he should never have been the first choice for captain ahead of ter stegen.
that being said, defensively we were alright today. balde and kounde proved that they're some of the best in the business at the moment, and christensen was really solid as well. great performance from them. however we were caught standing when osasuna scored their goal, so we need to work on that.
lewandowski. i grew up watching him, idolizing him, but when i say it's time to go i mean it's time to go. he's had a rapid decline since the world cup and it's really no one's fault. he's just getting old, perfectly normal. i'd like to see him maybe make a move to some other smaller league or retire at the end of the season. even the pen isn't enough to make up for that appalling performance from him. we should've been up from the first few minutes.
just in general, capitalizing on chances. gundo also missed a pretty clear shot and we really need someone clinical up there to convert.
our wingers were kind of mid today. i just didn't see them being super explosive, and balde was doing a lot of the work up in the final third as far as i saw. raphinha didn't do much when he came in, and i didn't see too much from ferran or joao felix either. gavi was a "winger" but he was amazing today in the midfield.
lamine was pretty good, but not as good as he was against villareal. i think he's too young and doesn't have enough physicality to be playing against grown men yet. he's got the skills but he's just too young. xavi needs to bench him for a little, maybe bring him on for a few minutes every game so he doesn't burn out. but xavi said he was going to do this so hopefully it happens.
the lack of araujo and pedri is glaringly obvious in this team. the defense is struggling at times without araujo back there, and there isn't as much creativity in the midfield without pedri. we need them for the ucl, or i don't even have us securing every game in the group stage.
as for players who played really well: most of the team, to be honest, especially kounde, balde, gavi, frenkie, gundo, romeu, and cancelo. they all had a huge impact on the game and should definitely be in the starting lineup going forward. players who need to be taken out are lewy, lamine, roberto.
i also want to give kudos to cancelo, who was explosive when he did come on and a huge change of pace from roberto. i think we can expect this going forward, and he'll definitely be a starter. i watched him at bayern and he'll be a huge step up from roberto, even if he does have some attitude issues (i'm sure xavi will set him straight)
i'd probably give man of the match to gavi. he gave it his all and was decisive tonight, playing winger, midfield, defense, whatever.
tactically we can expect the game to look more like it did when cancelo came on. he'll definitely be a starter and just didn't come on because he just landed yesterday, but i'm excited to see what he and felix can do.
