Tumblr media
this is my one day to meme. time to take advantage of it <3 cursed content up ahead :33 i've actually had this idea in my head for months but wasn't sure when the appropriate time would be to work on it - gender neutral. he'll call you babygirl no matter what gender you are
You thought it was Sans. You could've sworn it was when you first spoke with it. But that THING..it scares you.
It unraveled its form in phases, the final being something truly nightmarish.. something you will never unsee again.
Its taunting laughter echoes through the forest as you run, eyes widened in fear and your hand over where your soul would be. Why? Why you? WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE YOU?! This is the WORST encounter you've had to date!
His thundering footsteps echo as he moves, Sans' iconic laughter coming from its mouth.
"you can't hide from me forever, b a b y g i r l..running is pointless."
You vaguely see his silhouette in the distance, a tall MASSIVE form..
"Get the FUCK away from me and go back to 2017 WHERE YOU BELONG-"
"oh no.. they've had plenty of time with you..now it's MY turn." He pushes two trees apart with his bulky arms, beginning to walk towards you menacingly. "did you really think you could escape from me?.. i will always linger in the back of your mind."
"Stop this, just leave me be! I don't want you!" You shout, continuing to run. His bulky body's bones shine under the moonlight, his body morphing and twisting in ways it really shouldn't.
"just give it up. come to me-" "SHUT THE FUCK-" "you know, you're making this a lot harder than it needs to be."
You've tried everything. You've tried shooting it, that didn't work. You tried slashing at it, that didn't work either. You tried calling the police, they laughed and hung up on you. What are you supposed to do?
"it's okay to be a little cringe, babygirl..just embrace it. embrace me. you know you've missed me."
"It's okay to be a little cringe, but not THIS FAR BACK. I don't even know how you got here!" You hold up your phone, trying to call whoever you can.
"c'mon..aren't you lonely? wouldn't you like to be embraced by my big, strong arms?" He holds his arms out, the space now open for them since he's pushed quite a few trees out of the way.
"Hell no???" You groan when they hang up on you again. "Just go away! Go find someone else to bother!"
"oh no..i couldn't do that. you're the one for me, and i'm the one for you, whether you like it or not. just accept your fate."
You feel a strange sensation in your chest, looking down to see your..now blue soul. Oh god oh fuck oh g-
He begins to drag you towards him unsettlingly slowly, the glowing heart shaped eyelights of his all you can see. You claw desperately at the ground, digging your nails into the dirt and screaming.
"NONONONONO-"
A bone is hurled down from the sky, hitting the creature and distracting him enough for him to let go of you.
"who DARES to-"
"okay, i've seen my fair share of mischaracterizations, but this is ridiculous." Sans sits atop a floating bone, pointing at the creature.
"Sans!" You shout, relieved that he's here and running over once he lands, standing behind him. "That thing pretended to be you and it was really weird and-" Your face resembles a crying cat for a few seconds.
"it's alright, i'm here. and whatever.. that is has gotta go." He twirls a bone in his hand as the creature stands back up, cracking its knuckles and shifting forms.
It now stands before the two of you with a form that's almost identical to Sans, but with slightly incorrect features like his teeth slanting upwards, heart shaped eyelights, and..his head vaguely resembles a peanut from certain angles.
"..you believed this thing was me?" "I DIDN'T SEE THE SIGNS AT FIRST." :C
"everybody knows i am the one they want." "..denial is a river in egypt-"
The two begin fighting, a cartoony cloud of smoke surrounding them accompanied by bonks and squeaky toy sound effects. You hold your hands together, intertwined as you pray that Sans defeats this monster.
Eventually the smoke clears, leaving one skeleton standing above the other and dusting off his hands, walking back over to you.
"y'know, despite all those muscles he was weak as hell. you okay? he didn't do anything, did he?" "No, just kinda dragged my soul a bit but that was right before you got here." "okay, at least you weren't hurt. how about i treat you to some nice cream to make up for this?" He puts his arm around your shoulders. Unless you're taller than him, then he'll settle for your waist.
"yeah, that sounds nice, thanks sans." You smile, walking with him. "anytime.." He finds himself cracking up. "babygirl-" "Call me that again and I will fucking end you-"
He bursts out into laughter as you both exit the scene.
A figure sits up from the ground, putting his hand on his skull. Oh no..you're not getting away that easily.

so high school
Tumblr media
pairing : bradley 'rooster' bradshaw x reader
fandom : top gun
synopsis : being in love makes you feel oh so high school!!
series : the tortured poets department
warnings : smut
a/n : loved loved loved writing this!! happy reader
you couldn't quite tell what it was about bradley 'rooster' bradshaw that had you hooked. but something just did. the world of naval aviators was close knit, and you had been friends with phoenix and fanboy for as long as you could remember, even graduating top gun together.
it wasn't until many years later that you received a letter, asking you to go to fightertown san diego for a special mission. thats it. thats all they told you.
so before you knew it, you were cruising down the coast in your bike, hair whipping in the breeze, trying to find the bar phoenix had told you she would be at. you spotted it soon enough, glimmering brightly near the shining sea, and you parked and made your way inside.
it was packed full of other aviators, you spotted phoenix, hangman, coyote, payback and fanboy playing a game of pool and making snarky remarks at each other.
"cherry!" a cheery voice called you, and you offered your best friend your sweetest smile. "hi phoenix! i missed you" you laughed, pulling her into a hug, that she reciprocated, kissing your temple affectionately.
"cherry!" fanboy said, wrestling you into a tight hug to rub your head affectionately as you pretended to be annoyed, swatting at his arm.
"didn't know you were here too hon" phoenix said, offering you a bottle of beer.
"yep, got the call to ride at dawn" you said dramatically, sinking into a chair, shaking your jacket off your shoulders, draping the black leather jacket over the back of the chair.
"well if they're calling in the big guns guess the mission must be important" pheonix teased, affectionately rubbing your shoulder again.
"cherry, meet bob, phoenix's new backseater from leemore" payback said, gesturing to a quiet man with glasses who was eating peanuts in the corner. "hello, I'm bob" he said, smiling at you and shaking your hand. "I'm y/n, cherry" you smiled.
just as you were about turn to greet coyote, the door opened and a man clad in a hawaiian shirt walked in, aviators hiding his eyes, with a slight swagger to his walk as he walked in, sliding his glasses slightly lower down his nose as he greeted phoenix . he had the most perfect looking moustache you had ever seen, and for a split second you wondered how it would feel brushed up against every part of you.
you bit back a giggle as phoenix hit him in the stomach with her pool stick, that instantly had his eyes snapping to your face.
bradley didn't know what hit him as he looked at your face. well, apart from phoenix's poolstick. he felt like all the wind has been sucked from his lungs as he looked at you, drinking in your pretty eyes and curved lips, plush and full, seeing the way your hand was wrapped around a cold bottle of beer. he felt his heartbeat speed up so fast he had to steady himself on his unsteady feet. you looked ethereal.
"and who are you?" he asked, taking his aviators off to tuck them into his pocket as he leaned against nat's shoulder, offering you a smile that had your heart beating way faster than it should have.
"y/n, cherry" you smiled, extending your hand for a handshake. bradley grabbed your hand, pressing a delicate kiss to the back of it that had a warm flushed heat creeping up to your cheek.
"I'm rooster, bradley" he said, sinking into a chair next to yours.
"nice to meet you" you smiled at him, draining the last of your beer. "can I get you another?" he said, already getting ready to stand. "thats okay rooster, I'll go get one myself" you hurried to get up as well, but he just took you by the elbow, leading you to the bar. "please let me. what sort of a gentleman would i be if I didn't buy a pretty girl a drink?" he smirked mischievously and you forced down a smile, hiding it with an eye roll.
"please, nat talks about you and I know for a fact how much of a ladykiller you are" you said, smiling at the woman behind the bar who introduced herself as penny. "put it on my tab, penny my dear!" rooster called and earned a smile from the woman.
"damn, phoenix is destroying my shot before I even had a chance huh? he sighed, only a little resigned. "but I promise, I'm not like that anymore, I'm older and wiser now" he said, looking at you hesitantly. you couldn't help but laugh, seeing the sincerity in his eyes.
"I'm just messing with you" you giggled, accepting the cold beer gratefully and clinking your bottle with his.
you found yourself lost in conversation with him, laughing and chattering like long lost friends. you told him all about knowing nat and fanboy, about your hobbies, what got you into aviation. he spoke about his love for music, his love for aviators, and surprisingly, about his dad.
he watched the way your eyes softened, not in the way that people did with pity, but with understanding. and you reached for his hand, giving it a squeeze. "I'm sorry that happened to you bradley" you said, voice as delicate as a feather. "thank you" he said, stroking a hand over your thumb.
"hey, wanna see something cool?" he asked, already leading you over to the piano. "you gonna play a song bradshaw?" you laughed, choosing to lean against the piano as he settled into the seat. you recognised the opening notes of great balls of fire.
bradley's voice was as warm as whiskey, rough around the edges and ragged in a way that took your breath away and made a little something spark in between your thighs.
"kiss me baby!" he sang, throwing you a cheeky wink that had phoenix nudging your side. "that feels good, baby" he smirked, letting his tongue wet his lips as he watched your body twitch a little.
"I'm off to love you like a lover should" he crooned, fingers dancing across the ivory keys as you hummed along.
after he finished, you watched him get swarmed with people, and whooping and cheering for him, before the chants of "rooster! rooster! rooster! rooster!" filled the room and you clapped along before slinking back to the bar.
"hey whered you go?" bradley's warm voice made his way over to you. "just wanted a moment and another beer" you said and he grinned, already passing you a cold one again, letting his fingers brush yours again.
"cmon, let's go on a drive" he said, gently tugging your hand and paying his bill quickly. "thanks for that, by the way" you said, beaming up at him gratefully. "anytime pretty girl" he said, leading you put to where a beautiful Bronco was parked.
"thats a beautiful car" you said, stopping to admire it. "whose is it?" you continued, staring curiously. "it's mine" he said proudly, grinning when you gasped. "it's so pretty!"
"thank you, it's my baby" he said, and you felt your heart flutter. "come, let me show you the sights" he said, getting your car door for you in a way that had you feeling a little ooey gooey on the inside and had you thinking "isn't that sweet?"
and as you drive off into the night, the moon illuminating the sea, you felt oh so high school.
Tumblr media
the hard deck was buzzing with energy, music playing in the background as the squad enjoyed a rare night off. you, bradley and the rest of the team were gathered around a large table, laughter and banter filling the air.
"hey, cherry, can you grab me another beer?" bradley asked with a playful grin, his eyes twinkling.
"only if you say please," you teased back, giving him a mock-serious look.
"please," he replied, drawing out the word and giving you an exaggerated puppy-dog look that made you laugh.
as you headed to the bar, nat nudged you with her elbow. "you know, Cherry, you’re not fooling anyone, especially me" she smirked.
you raised an eyebrow, pretending not to understand. "what do you mean?"
phoenix gave you a knowing smile. "come on, it's so obvious you have a crush on Rooster. the way you two flirt, it's like watching a rom-com. and as your best friend, you know I can read you like an open book" she said, leaning across the bar to grab your three beers.
your cheeks flushed a little, but you couldn’t help but smile. "Is it that obvious?"
"To everyone but you two, apparently," phoenix said, chuckling. "just go for it. You two are great together."
meanwhile, back at the table, the boys were giving rooster a similar hard time.
"rooster, man, you are so into cherry," jake "said, shaking his head. "the way you look at her, it's like you're in the notebook or something."
"yeah, dude," bob added. "It's written all over your face. you look like a little kitten with a ball of wool" he said and analogy made the other pilots roar with laughter.
rooster tried to play it cool, but he couldn’t help the grin that spread across his face. "what can I say? she's special."
as you returned to the table with the beers, you noticed the boys smirking at rooster, who was giving them a playful glare. you handed bradley his beer, your fingers brushing briefly, sending a small thrill through you.
"thanks, cherry," he said, his voice softening a bit, reaching up to pinch your cheek playfully.
"anytime," you replied, your heart fluttering.
phoenix gave you a knowing look, and you felt a rush of warmth. surrounded by friends and filled with a sense of joy and possibility, you knew this was just the beginning of something truly special between you and bradley.
and that feeling made you feel like a high schooler, feeling oh so high school.
Tumblr media
training and day to day encounters with bradley became the norm, and he found himself actively seeking you out more and more.
"hey cherry" his voice rang sweetly in your ears as he plonked himself down next to you. "hey rooster" you greeted back, settling comfortably into the chair, waiting for maverick to come and start the training session.
"looks like we're paired up for today's exercise" he said, trying to dim the bright grin that graced his face, drinking in the amused look in yours.
"sure looks like it" you grinned back, laughing when he pumped his fists in the air. "excited much?" you joked, leaning slightly into his shoulder. "oh, very. it's not often i get to fly with a wingwoman as beautiful as you, pretty girl" he cooed, fingers dancing across the loose strand of hair that had fallen out of your bun and tucking it back in.
you felt your breath hitch and your heart speed up like a train, feeling the warmth radiating from his body as he leaned in slightly closer, eyes trained on yours, gleaming in the sunshine. you leaned in as well, torso moving forward as your eyes fluttered ever so slightly. bradley felt his heart hammering, palms sweating slightly as he repeated a mantra of "holy shit this is actually happening" repeatedly in his head.
just as your noses brushed, a sharp voice cut the tension in the room, and you jumped back as if you had been scalded. you felt your body heat up as the grinning faces of hangman and coyote and maverick came into view, making you shoot away from bradley to keep a respectable distance between you two.
"well, well, what do we have here?" hangman’s teasing drawl filled the space, a smirk playing on his lips. phoenix elbowed him in the ribs, rolling her eyes at his lack of tact. "damnit bagman, couldn't you have waited for a second?" nat's voice reached your ears and you tried your hardest not to simply evaporate on the spot.
maverick raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "did we interrupt something?"
coyote chuckled, shaking his head. "looks like we did."
bradley's hand remains on your shoulder, a reassuring touch. you couldn't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and amusement at the situation.
"har har guys, why don't you move it along now cmon" rooster said, dramatically gesturing to the door.
a chorus of laughs and giggles embraced you, with natasha stopping to stoop by your ear and say "never seen you look so captivated cherry" and giving you a playful wink which you returned.
"well...where were we?" bradley said, after ensuring the squad had truly left. "i believe you were about to kiss me?" you said in a hushed whisper, reaching for the zipper of his flight suit, standing up to pull him flush against you.
you let your body sink against the tiny podium mav used to give his motivational speeches, letting bradley's weight sag into you as he leaned closer, and closer and closer...
right until his breath was warm on your face, searching your eyes for the same desperate adoration he felt and he saw it there in full reciprocity.
"god, will you kiss me already?" you whined, tugging him forward by the collar.
bradley turned to you, his eyes filled with a mix of determination and vulnerability. he took a step closer, his gaze locking onto yours. "I've been wanting to tell you something," he said softly, his voice steady despite the emotion behind it.
your heart raced as you nodded, body high on the palpable tension, waiting for him to continue. "ive felt this way for a while now," he confessed, taking your hand in his. "and I can't keep pretending it's not there." he continued, breath in ragged gasps as he inched so much more impossibly closer to you.
before you could respond, he gently cupped your face with one hand, his thumb brushing over the swell of your cheek. the world seemed to slow down as he leaned in, his eyes never leaving yours. you closed the distance, your lips meeting in a soft, tentative kiss, charged with sweet emotion.
the first touch sent a shiver down your spine. it was sweet and slow, as delicate as spun sugar, both of you savoring the moment you had been waiting for. bradley's other hand moved to your waist, pulling you closer as the kiss deepened, the other still grasping your cheek.
his lips were warm and inviting, and you lost yourself in the sensation, your arms winding around his neck. his mustache, his oh so perfect mustache brushed against your top lip, in a messy kiss that felt so good you couldn't breathe. his hand crawled up your back to rest in your hair, cradling your head in his hand while yours continued to grip his collar and his chest tightly, tongues now clashing as the kiss grew more heated.
just as bradley let his hand down to squeeze the flesh of your ass, the sound of footsteps and a horrified "oh!" had bradley breaking apart from you, eyes never leaving your heaving form as he glanced over his shoulder to see an extremely flustered bob.
"oh shit rooster, I'm sorry i-" he began, stammering and stuttering as his glasses began to slip down his nose from the nervous perspiration gathering on his nose.
"bob, just leave" he murmured, going back to your lips as he let his mustache brush your lip in a way that had you giggling.
"right! right! I'll leave god rooster I'm sorry-" he continued rooted to the spot, eyes widening at the way bradley's lips trailed to your neck.
"bob?" you called sweetly, ignoring the way rooster smirked against your neck. "yes cherry?" he said, still stuttering.
"as much as I like you, please fuck off and let me makeout with rooster in peace" you said firmly, and he was scurrying out like a mouse.
bradley laughed against the skin of your neck, pressing one last smacking kiss to the juncture between your shoulder and neck, before leaning up to peck your nose.
"darling, let me take you to dinner" he begged, grasping your hand in his own palm.
"when?" you asked, still heaving to take deep breaths of air. "now. today. an hour, god, I'll just go shower and change and I'll come and pick you up and we can go now, today, now" he said, punctuating each word with a soft kiss to your lips.
"okay" you breathed, slowly backing away to just admire the man before you. "pick me up at 7 then" you said, pushing him away with a smirk, before walking towards the door, hips swaying purposefully. "and maybe tonight, you'll get to kiss more of me" you winked, and made your way out.
rooster sunk back into a chair with a groan.
god, you made him feel like a lovestruck teenager, giving him butterflies
it all felt oh so high school to him.
Tumblr media
bradley bradshaw had planned the perfect first date, and as the sun began its descent, casting a warm glow over Fightertown, you found yourself eagerly anticipating the evening ahead. he had picked you up right on time, his charming smile and easy confidence immediately putting you at ease.
he drove you to a secluded stretch of beach, the sound of the waves creating a serene backdrop as he unloaded a large picnic basket from the trunk. "i thought we'd do something a little different," he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "a beach picnic seemed like the perfect idea. you mentioned you've never had one before" he said, a note of shyness in his gaze.
"i love it," you replied, genuinely touched by the thoughtfulness of the gesture.
he spread out a blanket on the soft sand, arranging the picnic essentials with meticulous care. as you sat down, you couldn't help but admire the beautiful scenery—the ocean stretching out endlessly, the sky painted with hues of orange and pink.
bradley handed you a glass of sparkling champagne and raised his own in a toast. "to new beginnings," he said, his gaze meeting yours with a sincerity that made your heart skip a beat.
"to new beginnings," you echoed, clinking your glass against his.
the evening unfolded with an easy, natural flow. bradley had packed an impressive spread: fresh fruit, gourmet sandwiches, cheese, and even a couple of your favorite snacks, and to your mirth, a whole container of cherry candy. you both talked and laughed, sharing stories and learning more about each other.
at one point, he playfully fed you a strawberry, and you couldn't help but laugh at his antics. "you're really going all out, huh?" you teased.
"only the best for you," he replied with a wink, his tone light but his expression serious.
as the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky turned a deep, velvety blue, and bradley lit a few candles, their gentle flicker adding to the romantic ambiance. you found yourself inching closer to him, the warmth of his presence and the sound of his voice creating a bubble of intimacy that felt both exhilarating and comforting.
he glanced at you, his eyes soft and filled with an emotion that made your breath catch. "you know, I've wanted to do this for a long time," he admitted, his voice low and earnest.
"really?" you asked, feeling a flutter of excitement.
"yeah," he said, reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair from your face. "there's something about you, cherry. from the moment we met, I knew you were special."
your heart swelled with happiness as you looked into his eyes. "i feel the same way, bradley."
he smiled, a slow, genuine smile that lit up his face. "im glad," he said softly.
as the night continued, you sat together, sharing quiet moments and watching the stars appear one by one in the sky. It was the perfect first date, a beautiful beginning to what you both hoped would be a wonderful journey together.
Tumblr media
bradley couldn't remember the last time anyone had left him so simply awe struck and feeling like a teenager in love the way that you had. he knew the moment he set eyes on you in the hard deck that you had stolen his heart in every sense of the phrase.
so flash forward to three months after your first date and there you were, pressed up against his body, leaning into his warmth with one of your ankles looped around his own, both your feet propped up on bradley's coffee table. his house had practically become yours, you spent more time there than at your own pathetic little rented apartment.
bradley inhaled the scent of your perfume, bergamot and oak, vanilla and of course cherry. he didn't know how much he loved the scent of cherry till you came into his life like a cherry scented whirlwind.
it was a Saturday night and that meant neither of you had to go into work the next day. he had asked you to come over to his place after a few drinks at the hard deck. he had cracked open a nice bottle of red wine and had ordered in some of the burritos you loved so much, topped of with that spicy salsa you loved.
a bowl of nachos sat between the two of you, and the burritos waited on the table for you two to stop gazing lovingly into each other's eyes.
the classic 'american pie' was playing softly in the background, but neither of you could really pay attention. your fingers traced over his muscled thighs, absent mindedly tracing your initials on the exposed skin, his denim shorts giving you more than enough room to gently trace the skin.
his arm was around your shoulders, gently tracing mindless circles on the exposed skin of your shoulder, and occasionally dropping kisses to the skin as well, letting his tongue dart out to earn a giggle from your pretty lips.
"ya having fun pretty girl?" he asked, brushing a loose strand of his hair back. "mmhmm" you nodded burrowing into his chest in a way that had his heart singing.
"i love how stupidly interesting this movie is" he confessed, and you laughed, affectionately kissing his nose. "i do too, it's the perfect movie to unwind to" you agreed, settling into his chest again as you took a sip of the cabernet he had poured you.
he adored these little moments with you. how he would love to have them with you every damn day. he wanted you to just be with him for ever and ever.
of course, the both of you had forgotten about the iconic scene in which vicky finally...achieved new highs. bradley's eyes went wide as he choked on his wine, watching as the explicit scene played out on tv, feeling your body tense beside him and your breathing quicken as she reached her peak on screen.
he felt red hot arousal course through his body, and the fact that your perfectly plush body was resting against him in a way that was just right was not helping him. his pants were becoming uncomfortably tight around his groin.
he heard you gulp beside him, eyes blown a little wide as your eyes shifted to his face, flushing a little when you saw he was already looking at you.
"sweetheart i hope that doesn't make you uncomfortable?" he asked, stroking your cheek in concern. he missed the way your thighs pressed together, but he did hear the whimper that left your lips.
"oh darling..." he cooed, thumb stroking your cheekbone. "you want me to do that to you pretty girl? want me to eat your pretty pussy?" he asked, smirking when you whimpered again softly, turning so you were both face to face.
"answer me darling " he said, moving the glasses away to pull you flush into his lap. you tried to stifle your sigh of pleasure when his large hands grabbed your hips, settling you snug against him.
"please?" you asked, hands trailing down his muscled chest. "please what, pretty girl?" he asked, hands reaching to the back of your shirt. "please can you eat me out, lieutenant bradshaw?" you cooed, feeling confident as you rolled your hips on his.
"fuck baby girl" he grunted, making quick work of undoing your bra and flinging it off off you, hands going slowly up and down your sides. "I'd love that" he groaned, slowly setting you down flat on the couch and resting one knee between your legs. he dragged your top off, and you hissed when the cold air graced your nipples, hardening them to peaks.
his eager tongue descended upon them, flat of it pressing against the sensitive buds and sucking them between his lips to flick at them in a way that had you gasping and gripping his luscious hair in your hands, chest arching high.
he bucked up into you then, hands holding your hips still as he stiffens against you. "you’re fucking sexy, ya know that?" he said "so. fucking. sexy." he punctuated each word with a flick of his tongue, teeth grazing the nipple and sucking it, letting his saliva coat it before pulling it, making you hiss in pleasure.
although it took him seconds, it felt like an eternity, as bradley travelled down the valley of your breasts, down to your stomach where he stopped, and licked slow circles around your belly button until you shuddered almost continually. his tongue dipped into your belly button and your foot jerks. his mouth travelled lower.
he took a minute to settle down, settling down to his knees in front of the couch, to become eye-level with your clothed cunt, while maintaining a cozy sort of closeness. once again, he gently stroked the waistband of your panties, and, with expert hands, eyed the pale blush pink colour of your underwear.
"i don't know if i tell you often", he moaned into your thigh with squinted eyes. "but you’re the prettiest fucking person ive ever seen" he said, biting the flesh of your hip. "prettiest fucking thing ive ever seen" he repeated, and your heart began to thud at an irregular pace against your chest as you watched the special show.
"tell me you want me baby" he asked, stopping his movements and panting on his knees. he looked like such a fucking angelic mess in that moment, voice raspy, chest heaving and hands gripping the flesh of your hips.
"i need to hear you tell me you want me and need me" he begged, slowly drawing your knees apart.
"please roos, i need you so bad! i want you!" you acquiesced, desperately reaching for his hand, which he immediately linked with your own.
"now, i have only one rule" he murmured pressing another kiss into your skin, this time even lower. he tilted your hips up just a bit higher, so they’re level with his nose; eyes just barely peeking over your mound. he inhaled sharply.
"you have to be as loud as you can or i stop. just please, fuck, please don’t hold back on me" he whispered, stroking your knuckles on the hand in which your fingers were entwined, his cheeks pink in the sparkling lights.
and with your nod, he’s dove in. you felt his tongue slip out, softly licking at your already swollen clit, and you realized this feeling was unlike anything. it was heaven and it's hell, it was sanity and insanity, and you loved it. your chest dipped hard with every aggressive rise, and the more it obscured your view of rooster, the more you adjusted yourself so that way it doesn’t. you wanted to see him.
his mouth wrapped around your clit and he gently sucked at it, his chin grazing your hole as his tongue explored the unfamiliar territory. he moaned out loud in surprise of how fucking sweet and tart you tasted.
"fuck sweet girl, you taste like cherry candy" he grunted, his own hips grinding against the coarse material of the couch.
he continued with his ministrations, pulling soft moans out of you. it was a melody, a harmony. a symphony of low groans and raw moans and desperate whines leaving your lips. each and every noise; every perfectly composed addition giving way to how your pleasure builds. "fu—oh, my god, roos!" you managed to gasp out, remembering his rule, head pressing against fluffy yellow cushion he had given you.
he’d barely touched you. hadn’t even quite moved on from your clit, and yet? you were a fucking mess. your breathing, uneven, your heart erratic. it was a dizzying experience everytime he sucked on your clit.
he alternated, tightening the control on his lips or flattening his tongue, lifting your legs to rest them on his shoulders.
your legs felt heavy against his shoulders, knees buckling from the pleasure. the noises that came from him are pornographic, to say the least. obscene and dirty, muffled by your puffy lips. it was wet, and it sounded like heaven.
"you’re doing great, pretty girl. so fucking good" he growled into your pussy, lapping at your juices.
then suddenly he was mouthing at your cunt, tongue dipping into your aching hole with fervour, trying to learn what made you feel good, what made you jerk, what made you tick. about your reactions. about your ethereal sounds. as much as his brain could take. he made you absolutely melt into putty with his experienced touch.
an unexpected high-pitched moan escaped your swollen mouth, and your breath caught in your throat. "holy shit! rooster! bradley! ah—fuck, just, you’re…right there" your hands clutched the leather between your fingers, and you were pretty sure you had ripped a hole in the velveteen couch.
a familiar warmth was beginning to pool in your tummy, fingers running through his hair in response, scratching at his scalp and pulling his hair roughly.
the veins in his arms began to strain and protrude and you almost came right there on the spot. you yanked on his hair again, and with a loud groan he jerked up into you. a dangerous glint gleaming in his eyes as he shot up to meet yours and he lifted himself off of you. "you’re playing a dangerous game, darling" he whispered, fingers trailing down your thighs.
his tongue swirled along your ribs, the place where you’re most ticklish, and it revealed his new favourite sound in the world - your laugh. over the curve of your breast, covered with hickeys and bites, and then finally right above your heart. where he lived, where he loved and could be loved. his home.
he snuck back down, fingers slipping into you, pressing against your g spot before his tongue began to suck harshly on your clit.
the familiar band of pleasure began to build in your belly and you whined in desperate pleasure. his tongue began to suck on the little pearl harder, and soon you were thrashing above him as the band snapped and you came all over his pretty face.
"thats it darling, nice and slow, come for me" he murmured, licking you through your orgasm. "mm-ah! roos!" you groaned as the sensitivity grew between your legs.
bradley stood up panting, moustache gleaming with your sparkling juices, and his tongue picked out to lick it away, the sight so obscenely perfect.
"you're my new favourite thing to eat in the world, sweet girl" he cooed, pressing his lips to yours in a delicate kiss.
gasping and panting, you kissed his back, gently stroking his hair. "thank you, that was amazing" you breathed, giggling when he sunk into you and the both of you descended into the plush couch.
"don't thank me baby girl, it's a pleasure to give my girl the best head of her life" he said, cracking a grin when you hid your face in his chest.
"god I adore you. i love you" he said, breathing the scent of your perfume again. "I love you too baby" you whispered, kissing his nose.
"c'mon, let's get up and cuddle now" he said, scooping you up and throwing you over his shoulder. you squealed in laughter as he tickled your side, hanging over his shoulder, playfully swatting his butt as he made his way up the stairs.
this was the kind of romance you'd only read bout in high school.
Tumblr media
the hard deck was alive with its usual blend of laughter and lively conversation as you and the squad gathered for another fun night out. the air was filled with the familiar buzz of camaraderie, and everyone was in high spirits. but tonight, there was a special gleam in bradley's eyes that you couldn't quite place.
as the evening progressed, he excused himself and made his way to the old upright piano in the corner of the bar. you watched curiously as he sat down, his fingers lightly grazing the keys, testing the feel of the instrument. the room began to quiet down as people noticed him at the piano, a sense of anticipation building.
he looked up and caught your eye, his expression softening. "this one's for you, cherry," he said, his voice carrying across the room. a few murmurs of surprise and interest rippled through the crowd as he began to play a slow, romantic tune.
the familiar notes of heaven by Bryan Adams began to play.
as the melody filled the bar, you felt a warm blush spread across your cheeks. bradley's playing was beautiful, each note filled with emotion. his eyes never left yours, and it felt like the rest of the room faded away, leaving just the two of you connected by the music.
when he began to sing, his voice was smooth and heartfelt, the lyrics speaking of love and longing. it was clear to everyone that this was a song from the depths of his heart, and the dedication to you made it all the more special.
"and baby, you're all that I want,
when you're lying here in my arms,
im finding it hard to believe,
we're in heaven,
and love is all that i need,
and I found it there in your heart" he crooned softly to you and you felt an overwhelming love settle in your heart for the man at the piano.
the squad couldn't resist teasing. jake leaned over to phoenix and bob, a playful grin on his face. "hearts are breaking in the world tonight," he quipped, eliciting a round of chuckles from the group.
"yeah, looks like rooster's got it bad," phoenix added, giving you a wink.
bob nodded in agreement, smiling warmly. "It's like a scene out of a high school movie."
despite the teasing, there was an underlying sense of genuine happiness from everyone, seeing how much bradley cared for you.
as the song drew to a close, bradley's final notes lingered in the air, and the room erupted into applause. he stood up and walked back to you, his gaze never wavering.
you met him halfway, feeling a rush of emotions. "that was beautiful, baby" you said, your voice soft with gratitude and affection.
he smiled, his eyes shining with sincerity. "I'm glad you liked it, cherry. It was all for you."
as the squad continued to tease and make light-hearted comments, you and bradley shared a look that said it all. in that moment, surrounded by friends and wrapped in the warmth of his music, you both felt like high schoolers in love, caught up in the sweet, innocent magic of the night.
Tumblr media
rooster had invited the entire squad over to his place for beers n barbecue, but it was just an excuse to play grand theft auto with the boys. nat and you had just rolled your eyes and decided to play monopoly.
rooster kept glancing over his shoulder towards the two of you, smiling when he saw you laugh, throwing your head back and exposing the skin of your neck to him. he inhaled deeply when you bit your lip, teeth sinking into the flesh in concentration.
he groaned as hangman shoved him in the shoulder to make him lose in the game, and he stood up to head to the kitchen.
"baby you want a beer? nat, what about you?" he asked, walking over to you to drop a kiss to your shoulder.
"please" nat groaned, looking up from the board. "cherry's been kicking my ass at this stupid game for an hour" she said, making you laugh as you picked up the bowl of nachos you had been sharing to refill it.
"I'll be right back babe" you said, taking your empty beer bottles and following rooster to the kitchen.
"you having fun?" he asked, dragging you to him by your belt loops and dropping a kiss to your forehead. "i am! i missed spending time with nix" you said, kissing his cheeks and walking over to check the apple pie you had put in the oven.
rooster bit back a groan as you bent at the waist to check it, and before you knew it he was pulling you in, pressing your front against the counter. his fingers slid to the front of your jeans, slowly zipping them down.
"bradley! what in the world are you doing!" you hissed, hands settling on top of his own. "our friends are literally right there playing GTA!" you exclaimed, gasping when his finger slipped into the band of your cotton panties.
he dipped his finger to your clit, smirking when he felt the wetness on your clit. his fingers began to rub deft circles and your knees buckled, a soft whimper leaving your lips when his lips dropped to your ear to nibble on the shell.
"my my, you're a dirty little girl aren't you? getting fingered in the kitchen while our friends are in the next room?" he purred and your head dropped into his shoulder.
"fuck baby.." you moaned, and he sucked a hickey into your neck.
"god i love seeing you like this" he groaned, fingers speeding up against your clit, thumb settling on it, slipping one finger in at a time, pressing against your spongy walls, taking in the symphony of your moans.
"fuck I'm so close" you whined, pressing harder against his fingers. "cum for me darling, cum all over my fingers" he said and you came undone with a shudering gasp, chest heaving.
"hey cherry I'd like my beer cold please!" pheonix's voice cut the air and you almost jumped out of your skin.
rooster laughed as you heated up against him, pulling the zipper of your jeans back up before leaning back against the counter to lick his fingers, that had you playfully glaring at him.
"hey, bradshaw! you just died in the game man!" hangman's smug voice cut in, and the both of you laughed and pulled away.
"I'll see you again later honey" you said, kissing his cheeks. "love you" he said, nuzzling into your cheek.
"Jesus, get a room!" payback exclaimed as he stepped into the kitchen, looking for more popcorn.
"let them be! they're so cute together!" phoenix said, walking in, with her arms crossed. "cherry, babe. it's been fifteen minutes. are you brewing the beer from scratch?" she joked, walking over to the fridge to pick up the beer herself.
"sorry, she got distracted" rooster grinned and you nudged him in the side. natasha grimaced and payback pretended to gag.
"you're like two horny teenagers" fanboy commented as he walked in too.
"what can I say?" rooster shrugged. "she makes me feel oh so high school" he smiled.
Tumblr media
you sighed dreamily, watching bradley's pretty shirt flutter in the sea breeze. he had taken you out to a cute restaurant on the beach, which had outdoor seating and was decorated in quiet finesse.
the ocean's edge had been a charming and elegant beachside restaurant known for its stunning panoramic views of the sea. as the sun had set, casting a golden glow over the water.
the sound of waves gently lapping against the shore had provided a soothing backdrop to the evening, along with the rhythmic hum of the Bryan Adams song playing in the restaurant.
soft candlelight had flickered on your table, illuminating the beautifully set plates and the fresh, exquisite dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients. the ambiance had been both romantic and serene, perfect for an intimate dinner with rooster, where every detail had been crafted to enhance the dining experience by the sea.
the candlelight danced in his eyes, which were filled with warmth and a hint of mischief. you both leaned in close, sharing quiet laughter and soft, playful touches. your conversation flowed effortlessly, akin to two teenagers in love, filled with lighthearted teasing and genuine curiosity about each other's lives.
rooster's hand occasionally brushed against yours, sending a pleasant shiver up your spine. you found yourselves lost in his eyes, which reflected your own dreams for the future. there was an innocence and purity to your interaction, each smile and glance brimming with affection. the way he looked at you, with unguarded admiration, made you feel like the most important person in the world.
bradley leaned in a little closer, his expression turning slightly more serious but still filled with warmth. "you know," he said his voice soft and earnest, "i've been thinking a lot lately."
"oh? about what?" you asked, a hint of curiosity and amusement in your voice.
"about us," he said, his eyes locking onto yours. "about how much I love spending time with you, how much you mean to me."
your heart skipped a beat, and you felt a warm flush spread through you. "i feel the same way, bradley."
he took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I've been thinking... I don't want us to just have these moments in between missions and busy schedules. I want more of this. More of you."
you felt a flutter of excitement and anticipation. "what are you trying to say?" you asked, excitement and anticipation bubbling in your chest.
he reached across the table, taking your hand in his. "i want you to move in with me," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. "I want to wake up next to you every day, to come home to you. I want us to build a life together, not just in moments but every single day."
your eyes welled up with tears of happiness. "bradley, are you serious?"
he nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "I've never been more serious about anything in my life. I love you, and I want us to be together, always."
tears of joy streamed began to well up in your eyes as you squeezed his hand. "I love you too, bradley. yes, I would love to move in with you." you exclaimed and he laughed, tilting your chin to capture your lips in a tender kiss.
"one day," he whispered, kissing you softly, "I'm gonna put a ring on your finger" he promised, eyes boring deep into your own.
you felt your heart hammering again, melting into a puddle of warm, happy goo.
"I'd want nothing more" you whispered back.
you could so get used to this. because being with bradley just felt oh so high school.

Picture Perfect
Pairing: Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw X Female Reader
Length: 1K
Warnings: angst and a big scoop of feels
(A what-if drabble, set in the ‘Like I Can’ universe. Can be read on its own.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Is Bradley my dad?”
It’s the question that's fueled your 3AM thoughts ever since you had your daughter. It’s one you’d hoped you wouldn’t have to answer until she was older, preferably when she could at least pronounce her r's.
It was inevitable, you knew. Something to be noticed at some parent teacher conference or family fun day in the future. That while most kids had a set of parents, your little family- while perfect on its own- was one short of the traditional white picket fence dream.
You just never would have expected it to come so soon.
Your chest twinges as your now-four-year-old looks up at you with her big, open-hearted doe eyes, the ones that didn’t match your own, with vanilla ice cream smeared across her sweet face.
She was a near perfect image to the man seated next to her with his own vanilla ice cream clinging to the coarse hairs of his mustache and smudged on the left corner of his mouth, but whose wide brown eyes were nearly bulging out of his head looking at you like a deer in headlights.
Bradley was the boy who’d known you when you were in pigtails. The teen who had taught you to drive before you’d had your permit. The man you’d cried to when you’d seen the two lines on a positive pregnancy test weeks after a break up with someone who never deserved access to your body, let alone entrance to your heart.
That man- the one you’d left behind without a second glance- had been all too happy to give up any claim to the little someone growing inside of you. The type who’d elected to send checks instead of birthday cards.
Your parents had wanted you to move home to be closer to them, when you’d told them the news and of your decision, but you didn’t think you could bear the whispers or the looks. Even though you’d love growing up there, returning back on your own hadn’t felt right for you.
Bradley was the one who’d convinced you to move to San Diego.
He was the one who had held your hair as you vomited morning, noon, and night during those early months. The one who had taken you out for late night milkshakes with a knowing smile when the baby craved one. The one who had held your hand and wiped your tears. The one who had stayed up late and woke up early and brought you tea and toast as you figured out how to take care of the tiny person who was an unexpected, but entirely perfect, extension of your imperfect self.
It wasn't a daydream you let yourself indulge in. To imagine what it would be like if you and Bradley were you and Bradley. Not separated by three little letters but joined by them instead.
Your tender heart was already too delicate.
He was the devastatingly handsome man who people assumed was her father- your husband, your partner- on your days out together at the beach, at the zoo, at the grocery store, and at the hanger on base when the two of you waited to welcome him home from deployments with handmade signs covered in doodles and dripping in glitter glue.
Your almost family.
He was yours for now, until he had one of his own.
You watch as the startled look on his face flickers and settles into something softer.
“No, sweet girl. Not quite, but-” Bradley starts, his eyes tender as he looks at her.
He’s already done so much for you, but this was something you had to handle on your own. You might crack, but you wouldn’t shatter.
You’re quick jump in, cutting him off, ignoring the twist of your heart in your chest, “No, peanut. He’s just your Uncle Rooster.”
The term didn’t feel big enough for who he was and what he meant to you. But it would have to do.
“Ok,” you daughter chirps with such simple acceptance. The kind that only a child so young can say with such easy unbothered surety, still soft and sheltered from the world.
You release the breath you were holding as her half-melted ice cream cone claims her attention once again. And then give Bradley a small smile, it's too hard to look at him when the sun bounces off of his wavy strands like that, before you turn your focus back on your own scoop of chocolate cherry chip.
There was no doubt in your mind, the question would come up again later. But for now your answer was enough.
Someday there might be another someone who would love you both in equal measure, but you weren’t in a rush to find them. You had all you needed.
You savor the feeling of your sweet ice cream as it melts on your tongue, listening to the waves as they meet the shore. Content in the glow of the setting sun and warmth of being surrounded by your two favorite people.
Your daughter and your Bradley.
Her Uncle Rooster.
Tumblr media
Bradley didn’t know what to say when the miniature mirror of you, the one with the same nose that scrunched the same way when she laughed, asked if he was her father.
It was something that came up from time to time when he was lucky enough to tag along with your dynamic duo. Usually from well-meaning grandmas with warm smiles complimenting his lovely family. He’d never felt the need to correct them about the labels because the two of you were his family.
He knew your routines, he knew your likes and dislikes better than his own. He was the one who had been there to see her first smile, to cheer for her when she took her first steps. It was his name and phone number that were listed in the emergency contacts for you and for her.
Being with the two of you was so much more than he’d ever imagined it would be when he’d cradled her in his arms and whispered his promise to alway look after you both the day she was born, as you’d slept soundly next to him in the uncomfortable hospital bed exhausted from your efforts.
But looking at you now with the golden sunset illuminating your face and the little girl next to you kicking her legs as she happily licked her ice cream cone, he liked the promise future he saw in front of him. He loved the potential of what could be.
This could be more, this could be permanent, this could be forever.
It would be more than just a picture perfect moment. It could be such a picture perfect life.
He had been there for it all, he wanted to see it through to the end.
He didn’t want to miss a moment.
He didn’t want to miss his moment.
Bradley hadn’t been entirely sure how he was going to answer when he started speaking, but he knew what he wanted.
With the two of you, he could have it all.
And he’ll never forget the way air had left his lungs and his stomach dropped when you called him Uncle Rooster.
He already knows the what-ifs and if-onlys will be the newest companions to the list of things that keep him up at night.
The sound of the crashing waves was drown out by the ringing in his ears, as his double scoop of vanilla ice cream melted around his fingers steadily dripping onto the cement sidewalk beneath his feet.
The sunlight hitting the two of you is no less golden than it was before as he scooped up your quickly fading daughter from the bench overlooking the beach that the three of you had been sharing, her little arms reaching up for him. The thrill of her fourth birthday and the sugar crash catching up with her after such a big day.
That ache in his hollow chest is soothed by the way she burrows her little face into his neck, her sticky fingers curling into the front of his shirt.
He still could be a dad. He still could be a husband.
Just maybe not hers. Just maybe not yours.
This moment with your daughter snuggled against him and you tucked under his free arm on the way back to the Bronco, was still picture perfect, but only if he didn’t look too close.
The two of you would always be his family, in one way or another, and he hopes he will always belong to yours.

The Cat and Dog Game [Chapter 14]
Tumblr media
Genre: Romance, Fluff, Comedy
Pairing: Yunho x Reader (y/n)
Characters: Chef!Reader, RestaurantOwner!Yunho, MaitreD!Hongjoong, Waiter!Yeosang, Waiter!San, Waiter!Mingi, SousChef!Seonghwa, SousChef!Wooyoung, PrepChef!Jongho
Summary: Yunho's dream was to open and run his own restaurant. But he doesn't know anything when it comes to cooking. Until you came along and accepted the job, bringing with you a small crew. How will the black cat tame the energetic golden retriever?
Word count: 3.2K
Yunho chewed on the nail of his thumb nervously as he sat in his car. How was he supposed to act when he saw you today? He left you, asleep on your couch last night. Well, he wrote a note but should he have woken you up?
"Argh!" He fell forward onto his steering wheel. Yunho inwardly cringed, imaging how if his mother knew, she would nag him for being 'un-gentlemanly'.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
Yunho looked up to see San there, tilting his head in confusion, having seen the taller's quiet outcry.
"You okay?" San asked. Yunho nodded glumly. He gathered his things and got out of the car. Seeing the two other cars parked there, he knew that the kitchen crew was in already.
"We had a break yesterday, why do you look more tired?" San chuckled, slinging his arm around Yunho's shoulders.
"I'm fine, San. I just stayed up too late playing." Yunho said.
"Yeah, after abandoning Yeosang and I mid-game. What gives man?" San raised an eyebrow.
"Sorry, I just had to suddenly go somewhere for... a thing..." Yunho tried his best not to give anything away, making San scoff. They walked in together and the kitchen was already bustling, as expected. While San greeted everyone excitedly, Yunho ducked into the locker room to put his stuff down.
"Morning." Yunho gulped, greeting everyone. You were standing at the other side, your back to him. With your music playing in your ears, you didn't hear his soft greeting.
"Are you okay?" Seonghwa asked. Yunho nodded his head, going to the front of the house to get the barista counter ready.
"I'll start the bacon garnish for the bacon quiches coming out." You said, turning around.
"Before that, taste test this, please." Jongho placed one of the pastries on the board and cut into it with his knife. The crisp sound of pastry sounded through kitchen.
"So layer of puff at the bottom, layered the thin potatoes over and doted camembert cheese with thyme and black pepper." He said.
"Mmm, it's good. How did you prep the potatoes?" You asked while chewing the bite.
"Thinly sliced, then cooked in cream for a bit until just before tender then I laid it over the pastry. Oh, I also shredded some gruyere over. And 5 minutes before it was done, I cracked the black pepper over, was worried it might burn in the oven." He explained.
"Good decision. Hwa, Woo, come taste." You called them over. Jongho cut them wedge to try. Seonghwa nodded in approval while Wooyoung happily leaned on Jongho.
"This is amazing. You, just promote him to sous already." Wooyoung said to you.
"He's been doing the duties of a sous for so long, he just doesn't want to take the title." You scoffed, rolling your eyes.
"I would rather not work the pass. I'm fine doing prep when I can." Jongho said, bringing the other potato camembert pastries to the side for service later.
"Working the peanut butter frosting now for the chocolate cake." Wooyoung announced, running to the mixer.
"Orange pound cake ready to hit the ovens." Seonghwa said.
"I'll start on the candied orange peel topping while you make the drizzle?" You asked him. He nodded and you both started on those tasks. Yunho peeked through the small window, you seemed fine. You weren't unhappy and Seonghwa didn't look like he wanted to kill Yunho so maybe he was fine.
"Aww." He whimpered with dread, his shoulders slumping slightly. Mingi, who was standing there, watched his best friend with much confusion. He chuckled before moving over.
"Yunho."
"AH!" Yunho jumped, falling back slightly while panting with his hand over his chest in fear.
"Buddy, what is wrong with you?" Mingi asked. Having heard Yunho scream, you poked your head out. Yunho and Mingi both looked over at you.
"Everything okay here?" You asked with a raised eyebrow. Mingi shrugged, nodding over to Yunho.
"I'm fine. Thanks, (y/n)." Yunho cleared his throat, straightening up. You nodded slowly, not really knowing what was happening between them but you didn't really care to get involved.
"Oh, yeah. Yunho, you left your scarf at mine last night. It's in my cubby." You said and Yunho nodded before you went back into the kitchen. Mingi's eyes were wide, his jaw slightly slacked as he turned to his best friend.
"You left your what where?" Mingi asked.
"She invited me to her place for dinner last night." Yunho explained with a sigh.
"Is that why you've been distracted and jumpy?" Mingi questioned again. Yunho nodded then shook his head, then ultimately just let his head drop in frustration.
"Ah... no, it's not that." Yunho grumbled, rubbing his temples. Mingi just playfully smirked.
"It's okay, Yun." Mingi teased, wrapped his arm around his best friend.
"What's going on?" Hongjoong came over.
"So our dear boss here, apparently left San and Yeosang mid game yesterday. Yes, they complained to me about it. But what I've heard is that our boy here, actually left to go to (y/n)'s place for dinner. Even left his scarf there." Mingi informed. Hongjoong's eyes widened as Yunho facepalmed.
"You suck, Mingi. I'll explain what actually happened when I clear my head." Yunho rolled his eyes and entered the kitchen.
"Hey." Yunho came to you. You held a hand out to him as you were stirring something in the sauce pan, taking a spoon to taste it.
"Yeah. What's up? I already told you that your scarf is in my cubby, get it yourself if you need it." You said, still moving along the bench but at least were listening to Yunho now.
"No, not that. Thanks by the way. I just... you're not mad?" Yunho winced as he asked.
"Mad? Why would I be mad?" You scoffed.
"Because I just left you there on the couch...?" Yunho rubbed the back of his neck. You stopped, staring at the wall before turning to look at Yunho.
"And what do you think you should have done instead? Yunho, I'm not mad. I would have been if you had actually woken me up. And anyway, the person who should be mad is you. I invited you over and fell asleep." You shrugged.
"No! I'm not mad at all! I know... it's tiring cooking a lot. I'm still really grateful and enjoyed myself." Yunho gulped. By now, the entire kitchen had gone quiet, with the 3 listening in.
"Nice to hear that you did. I brought leftovers if you're interested." You told him.
"You did?!" His eyes sparkled.
"Yes, I just said I did." You side eyed him. Yunho let out a sigh of relief, throwing his head back as he began to laugh. He was worried over nothing, you weren't mad.
"There's not much time. You need to open the restaurant." You checked the wall clock.
"The restaurant?... Oh yeah! Opening time!" He jumped and ran out the door to the front, leaving you there, blinking.
"So..."
"Shut up. It's nothing." You rolled your eyes, cutting Wooyoung off. Seonghwa just chuckled at how Wooyoung whined at your lack of sharing. He was curious too, he hadn't heard you mention anything about Yunho being over when he called you yesterday. Maybe he'll ask you later.
"I'm more interested in what you cooked him. He was so excited about leftovers." Jongho raised his hand. You sighed while Seonghwa and Wooyoung burst out laughing.
"Short rib bourguignon..." You mumbled softly, looking at your fingernails instead of directly at them.
"What?"
"Short rib bourguignon..." You said again, albeit a little louder but still tried to keep your voice low. There was suddenly a wave of silence that washed over the kitchen.
"You made him our favourite dish?! Don't tell me you made it with bone marrow."
"How could you?"
"We've been asking you to make that for so long!"
All the protests came at you. You scrunched your nose, rubbing your temples before turning back to your counter and finishing your work. You've never given into their short rib bourguignon request just to mess with them and hold it over them.
"Fine, yes, I made it for him with bone marrow, everything. I wanted him to try it okay? Because his favourite thing is galbi jjim so I wanted to let him try it." You said.
"Mash or pasta?" Seonghwa asked.
"Both. Roasted garlic mash and pappardelle." You told them, taking the trays out of the oven when the timers were up.
"Wow... Even gave him options..." Wooyoung shook his head with a click of his tongue, conveying the betrayal that he felt. You shot him a flat look.
"You guys have had it before! And you guys are capable of making it on your own." You hissed.
"And don't tell me that Yunho can make it on his own too because we know he can't." You glared at them before they could reply.
"Alright, alright. We accept your apology. Now, let's discuss the dinner menu." Jongho patted your shoulders. You cast him a look, you didn't even apologise to them.
"Let me bring this out for service." Seonghwa brought out the other bacon quiches to display. You grabbed a piece of paper and your sharpie, beginning to brainstorm with Wooyoung and Jongho on dishes for tonight's dinner menu. Hongjoong said that there were already quite some reservations coming in.
"We should do a chopped romesco sauce. Don't blend it, do a fine chop on the board for texture." Wooyoung suggested. You nodded, writing it down.
"Sorry, what are we serving with that?" Seonghwa came back in, having heard Wooyoung's idea.
"Chicken roulade. Stuffed with perilla leaf and garlic chives. Sous vide and finish off in a pan to get some colour on it." You said.
"If we have the sous vide going, let's do barramundi on the grill. Sous vide cherry tomatoes and fennel in that Korean aged white soy sauce to serve alongside." Seonghwa raised his hand.
"I think we need starches. With the chicken, potato parsnip puree? And I think with the barramundi, like a rice pilaf."
"What do you suggest we flavour the rice with?" You asked Jongho.
"Mixed herbs, paprika, lemon zest and we make it slightly creamy with emulsification of cold butter to finish it off. Just slightly to accompany the meatier fish and tartness of the cherry tomatoes." Jongho replied.
"Main starch?" Wooyoung asked. You put the sharpie down, scratching your head as you walked into the walk in to check the ingredients that you had.
"Seafood pasta. Blend the roe of the scallops, make a light sauce. Serve it with seared scallop meat, grilled prawns, clams, squid. I want the prawn shells for a prawn oil to go over." You said.
"Yes, chef." The 3 replied.
"Are we doing bucatini?" Seonghwa clarified. You nodded your head slowly, too focused on the sauce instead.
"Let's mix some chogochujang (spicy sauce usually served with seafood and Korean raw fish) into the sauce to add brightness. I want the tartness from the vinegar."
"Sure." They all took their own notes for what they would be doing for the night.
"Okay, let's discuss appetisers before we get too hung up on the mains. Then desserts." You pulled up another piece of paper. Yunho came in to listen to your brainstorming session. But with what happened earlier, Seonghwa, Wooyoung and Jongho stopped talking, looking at him.
"What?" You looked up from the paper when they went silent. Turning around, you saw that Yunho was standing there. You hadn't even heard him come in.
"Guys, focus." You frowned.
"Right... So I was saying yukhoe (Korean raw beef) but with a chimichurri. We got a fattier cut of beef, it should cut nicely."
"Okay. Hwa, you're on that for tonight then." You hummed and wrote it down.
"I kind of want to do a soup. What soup can we do with what we have?" You asked. Jongho and Wooyoung walked into the walk in to check the inventory.
"White bean?" Jongho suggested.
"I would like to save the white bean for cassoulet stew tomorrow. What are our other options?" You said.
"We can do wild mushroom soup with doenjang." Wooyoung proposed. You all thought about it as a concept, mushrooms do go well with heavier, more fermented flavours. You nodded and added it to the list.
"You okay to handle that on your own?" You asked. Wooyoung gave you a thumbs up. Then you moved onto desserts. Yunho watched you quietly, he was always so mesmerised by you.
The way you commanded the attention in the room, the way the others looked at you with such respect and reverence.
"Alright. That settles it. Let's get the sous vides going and we'll break for the day." You said.
"Anything I can help with?" Yunho asked.
"Yes, actually. Help us fill those bins and stick the sous vide in while we begin the prep." You said. Yunho nodded, he knew how to do that, you've taught him before.
"(y/n) and I on the tomatoes and fennel. Hwa hyung and Jongho on the chicken? We'll help when we're done here." Wooyoung asked.
"Sure." Seonghwa and Jongho started on the chicken. When Yunho was done setting the sous vides up, he went to help them. Jongho gave him the mallet to pound the chicken until it was flat and even. Seonghwa prepared the filling of mainly perilla leave and garlic chives that would go in the middle.
"It reminds me of a roll cake.... but like, meat." Yunho chuckled as Jongho explained the dish to him.
"Well, that's essentially the idea." Seonghwa said. While you made the 'marinade' for the vegetables, Wooyoung quickly prepared and sliced the fennel.
"What's that?" Yunho asked.
"White soy sauce." Leaning over to grab a tasting spoon, you pour a little on and handed it to Yunho for him to taste it.
"It doesn't look and taste like soy sauce. It's sweeter? And not as salty as I expected. How do they make the colour so light?" He asked, tasting the bit of sauce.
"White soy has more wheat than soy beans and is fermented for a much shorter period of time. That means less sugars are broken down, that's why it has a sweeter taste." You explained.
"Can you use it as a dip? Like for fish." He thought out loud.
"Not really. It is used more in cooking to enhance flavours. So the cherry tomatoes we got are a little sour, that's why we're using the sweetness and lightness of the white soy to balance it without adding straight sugar." Wooyoung added.
"Doing the same for the fennel." You said. You held open the sous vide bags for Wooyoung to dump the ingredients in.
"How's the chicken coming along?" When you and Wooyoung prepared the vegetables, you went over to where Jongho and Seonghwa were.
"You can start trussing the meat while we finish up." Seonghwa said. You hummed and grabbed the butchers' twine.
"Ooh, what's going on here?" Yeosang came in.
"Watching them prep for dinner. And helping." Yunho said. Yeosang leaned down to watch you secure the rolled up chicken with twine after Wooyoung rolls it with filling.
"Looks like a lollipop." Yeosang laughed. That made you let out a small laugh, nodding in agreement.
"What is the green filling?" He asked.
"Perilla leaf, garlic chives, salt and white pepper." You replied. Yeosang nodded his head, impressed and interested in the dish. He took his phone out to take a picture of the rolled up chicken. When Hongjoong came in for his break, Yunho went back out to support the other boys.
"Okay, let's start a timer and head out." You instructed. The 4 of you went to get your things. You grabbed Yunho's scarf and container of leftovers, tucking them beside his bag.
"Bye. See you tonight." Hongjoong waved with a smile, Yeosang too. The 4 of you headed out for the rest of the day.
"Kitchen crew just went home." Yeosang said, stretching his arms over his head.
"This is bomb." Mingi said, stuffing his face with a slice of bacon quiche. San leaned over with his mouth open for Mingi to feed him but Mingi merely pulled his plate away.
"Get you own." Mingi growled.
"I just want a bite! And that's the last slice!" San whined. Mingi rolled his eyes, giving in and letting San have a bite.
"Mmm, it is good. The meaty bacon in the quiche with the crispy bacon on top." He said as he chewed. Yunho waved for San to help make the drinks for the orders that were coming in. Mingi continued to have his break behind Yunho.
"So, can you explain what's up with you and (y/n) now?" Mingi asked, taking a sip of his coffee.
"A little busy here." Yunho replied, keying in the order so San would get the ticket to prepare the drink. He stepped away from the cash register to help San.
"Thank you. Please come again." He smiled, handing the drinks to the customers.
"There's something going on between you and (y/n)?" San asked while scooping ice into the cups.
"Nothing. Mingi is just spouting nonsense. As usual. (y/n) and I are just... friends." Yunho rolled his eyes, ignoring the way his chest felt warm when he called you a 'friend'. Mingi scoffed at Yunho's words.
"You were at her house yesterday." Mingi pointed out.
"You're at my house all the time. Does that mean there's anything going on between us?" Yunho raised an eyebrow.
"Well, there can be. But you playing. I told you we could get married if the law allowed it." Mingi teased, making San laugh. Yunho sighed, facepalming at Mingi's words. People would seriously misunderstand if they had heard him. Yunho's mother thought Mingi was serious when he mentioned marriage prospects jokingly.
"Wait, is that why you left me and Yeosang to die?" San asked in disbelief and betrayal. Yunho ignored him so he turned to Mingi, who nodded in confirmation.
"Wah, Yunho ah. How could you?" San shook his head with much disapproval.
"She invited me for dinner. That's it. Nothing happened. We talked about food and cooking." Yunho said briefly.
"You just left after eating?" Mingi tilted his head.
"She fell asleep on the couch. It felt awkward for me to continue to stay so I left." Yunho revealed. Mingi and San burst out laughing, making Yunho shush them since customers were around.
"Were you so boring that she fell asleep?" San could barely get his question out between his laughs.
"She was tired from cooking. The dish she cooked me was a difficult dish and it took her a long time to cook it." Yunho frowned.
"Wow, she put in that much effort to make dinner for you? That's really nice, Yunho ah. You should do something to thank her." Mingi adviced. Yunho nodded, he knew he should repay you but he didn't know how.
"How? I didn't even know what kind of gift to bring to her house. I brought her my favorite cold brew coffee... She said she liked it but I don't know." Yunho rubbed the back of his neck.
"You'll think of something." San patted his shoulder with encouragement.

Tumblr media
“And here’s a whole bag filled with crackers, salted peanuts, and Oreos, “ Robin explains the last of the random stuff she’s packed for you and slides her arm around your waist. She tilts her head and you meet her gaze. “Still can’t believe you’re leaving me behind, you bitch. Just promise you’ll call every single day.”
“Every day,” you repeat and squeeze her gently, “As long as I’m near a pay phone, that is.”
Robin proceeds to pinch your arm, a squeal escaping your mouth as a result.
“Then you better make damn sure you find yourself near a pay phone or I’m following you out there and dragging your ass home.”
You chuckle. “Okay, okay. I promise… mom.”
“Bitch,” she exhales.
“I’ll miss you too, Buckley.”
Her hold on you lasts only a few minutes more. After letting out a soft sigh, Robin walks back inside the house and you’re trying to remain strong, not let your emotions show because you know the second you’d let the tears fall, you’d reconsider leaving her behind.
After you made the decision to leave Hawkins with Eddie, embark on this adventure together, you both told your mom and Wayne first. They were quick to agree that it’s a great idea. Not only that, they decided to join — at least for a portion of the trip.
The plan was for them to keep you company until New Orleans. There, after some sightseeing, mom and Wayne would take a flight to San Diego. Luckily, you still had some relatives from your dad’s side of the family living in the area; family who after seeing on the news of what happened to most of Hawkins was very quick to offer help. So while mom and Wayne got settled in California, you and Eddie would finish your trip, eventually meeting them there.
Goodbye Hawkins, hello San Diego.
It was a good plan. Everyone agreed there was nothing left for you or Eddie here, but as the date of your move approached, you couldn’t help feeling sad. Robin was staying here, as was Steve. They were going to remain in Hawkins with Dustin, Eleven, and their group friends. Wistful, the thought of moving onto better things while they remained.
Eddie finds you staring blankly at the boot of the car. You hear him sneak up behind you, but you don’t turn around. His arms manoeuvres under yours and wraps around your waist, holding you in place while gently placing his chin atop your left shoulder.
“It’s all so bittersweet,” you say quietly, not looking at him.
“But it’s also for the best,” Eddie’s tone is encouraging, “With Wayne and your mom also coming, and this plan for a new chapter in San Diego, aside from our friends, Hawkins is overshadowed with bad memories.”
As you turn on your heel to face him, Eddie’s arms wrap around your waist.
“This dingy old town gave me you. I’ll be eternally grateful for that.”
“Me too,” he pecks your lips before pressing his forehead to yours, “But you also almost lost me here, forever, and shit it might be selfish to say, I don’t want that happening again. This place is cursed. We’ll be happy in California.”
He’s right. You know he’s right.
Though it still doesn’t make it any easier because goodbyes suck. You knew that all too well. They’re hard, filled with sorrow and sometimes even regret. And as the group gathers outside for the last goodbye, you can’t hold in the tears anymore.
They first break when you hug Eleven. Then her friends, whom you’ve gotten to know in the worst of times, especially Dustin who holds onto you a little longer than everyone else, muttering: “Take care of him, please”.
The seal breaks completely when Robin approaches with a sullen look on her face. She wraps her arms around you tentatively and you return the embrace instantly. You’ve always felt safe around her and by the way she sniffles into me, you know the feeling is mutual.
“What’s crazy about all this is that you finally kissed Munson,” Robin jokes after a few moments of silence. “Thought you’d never grow the balls.”
You roll your eyes at her comment then pull away slowly, although not fully letting go. Instead you hold her by her forearms. “I’ll miss you, Buckley.”
“Just be safe, okay? And if he hurts you in any way, you call straight away. I will gladly kick his ass.” Robin says, loud enough for Eddie to hear, then walks towards him to also give him a hug.
Your last goodbye is with Steve. His hold on you is strong and the tears that stream down your face as a result are salty. He’s crying too, you can hear him trying to catch his breath. He’d been there for you in the worst of times and because of that, you’re forever bonded. Although the hug doesn’t feel like a complete goodbye. You’re certain you’ll see him again and when you eventually break apart, he promises to visit as soon as you get settled in San Diego.
The whole group stands hand-in-hand, watching you and Eddie get settled in the car — mom and Wayne are already waiting in the backseat. The metalhead looks at you while buckling his seatbelt. There’s a smile on his face and despite your tears, you can’t help but return the expression.
No more sorrow, is all you think as you look at the boy in front of you.
And as if he knows what you’re thinking, Eddie leans across from the driver's seat and captures your lips in a gentle kiss before muttering, “Here’s to our next adventure, my pearl.”

Mini Masterlist - Part One
“I still can’t believe that this has been underneath the house this entire time,” your voice, full of awe and wonder, echoes around the area. Again, your eyes are quick to take in every detail surrounding you just like the first time you entered their training space.
The room stretches on before you, more like a mini arena than anything. A light blue lines the walls, almost steel in colour, giving them a sort of metallic sheen as the florescent lights illuminate the space. A throwing range is off to the side, wooden targets well worn lining the scraped up walls. There’s even a large sparring area, complete with mirrors to the side to observe yourself while fighting for any openings you might leave yourself vulnerable to.
To the left, gym equipment resides. Anything and everything you can think of lines the space, making you feel as if you’re in some weird simulation of The Hunger Games. The training facility, if you can even call it that, has nearly all of the exact same things, up to and including a separate space where you can run types of simulations to practice what you’ve learned.
“We didn’t want to scare you,” Mingi shrugs, sitting off to the side as both San and Jongho grab some equipment to begin preparing for your training.
“That still doesn’t explain why you waited this long to tell me,” you chuckle. “Even after I expressed how cool I find your abilities, both physical and metaphysical.”
“To be fair, Dearest,” Yeosang sits right beside Mingi, the two of them watching on carefully. “The progress we had been making with you could have been changed or lost at any point. We simply didn’t want to do something to jeopardize that.”
You hum in acknowledgement, moving over to the sparring mats alongside both San and Jongho. A moment later, and you begin doing some stretches.
Just as you straighten yourself into a standing position once more, you hear a loud crashing sound coming from behind you.
“Oh, please tell me I haven’t missed it yet,” Wooyoung comes rushing into the room, practically tripping over himself and the equipment scattered throughout.
“Didn’t realize I’d have a peanut gallery,” you mumble, hearing Jongho chuckle from beside you.
“Think of them as extra observers to give you pointers that we may miss.” San comments, a subtle grin tugging at his lips as he begins stretching alongside you.
“Translation: they just want to have an excuse to look at my ass while I stretch.” You reply, amusement shining behind your eyes.
Mingi’s brows raise in amusement, Wooyoung grinning suggestively at you as he takes a seat on the floor in front of his brothers. At least Yeosang has the decency to avoid your gaze, the tips of his ears turning red as he stutters out a response.
“It’s okay, boys,” you chuckle. “The feeling is mutual.”
Wooyoung immediately bursts out laughing, especially when he turns his head to see both Yeosang and Mingi looking completely shocked behind him.
“Perks of being a visual learner,” you add, sitting on the ground to begin stretching out both your back and legs further.
“Wait, you mean you check us out while we’re working out, too?” Mingi is still attempting to wrap his head around your confession only moments before.
“You’ve really never noticed before?” San quirks a knowing brow at his brother.
“You try living with eight modern Adonis’, and you see how well you fare.” You comment, standing back to your feet as pleased growls reach your ears. Then, you’re turning to face the three males sitting to the side. “You’ve seriously never felt my gaze on you while I’m checking you out?”
“Why do you think I told you to start wearing compression shirts since you didn’t want to go topless?” San directs his comment towards Mingi, and your jaw drops.
“That was because of you?” Your voice is incredulous, eyes sparkling with awe as you watch him nod smugly. Your grin soon mirrors his own as you exhale a breath. “Fuck, I love you.”
A pleased growl escapes San’s lips as he absolutely revels in your gaze. The way the others shoot him small looks of either disbelief, or mild jealousy, is simply icing on the cake.
“Maybe we should all start working out shirtless,” Wooyoung hums, a smirk dancing on his features.
“Should we take it a step further and oil ourselves in the nude, too?” Jongho’s eyes gleam as he watches your reactions closely.
“Damn, I haven’t done that since the Olympics,” San hums, crossing his arms proudly over his chest.
The way you swallow thickly does not go unnoticed by any of them.
“So, the distractions have started already, I see,” you nod, almost absentmindedly.
“What seems to be on your mind, Starlight?” Mingi smirks, a knowing gleam shining within his eyes.
You lick your lips, the corner tugging upwards gently. “I think you already know, Moonlight.”
Five low growls echo around the room as a certain tension fills the air. That is, until that familiar gleam of curiosity flashes behind your eyes.
“So, did any of you compete in a circus?” You can hardly contain the excitement from bleeding into your voice as you look around at all of them.
“Hwa was always the best at chariot racing.” Yeosang hums, leaning back in his seat for the moment.
“Something tells me it was more than just being good with horses,” you chuckle, a small smile tugging on your features. “Though, it’s very fitting for some reason.”
“Well, he is the most competitive out of all of us.” San nods.
“And that’s saying something.” Mingi shoots a pointed look at Jongho who simply rolls his eyes in response.
“Jongho and San were excellent gladiators, too.” Wooyoung adds, nonchalantly. Though, with how his eyes gleam, you know his words are very calculated.
“I understand now why they’re the first ones teaching me hand to hand combat, then.” You nod, attempting to not appear as affected as you are for the moment.
“Yunho, Wooyoung, and Hongjoong all enjoyed wrestling a bit too much,” Jongho says, a chuckle falling from his lips as he crosses his arms over his chest.
You nod, once more attempting to not allow your thoughts to consume you. Unfortunately, with their earlier comments about bathing themselves in oil, it’s quite difficult not to picture the aforementioned males rolling around and wrestling in the nude.
A tense smile pulls at your lips, blinking in the next second. Shaking your head, you attempt to clear your thoughts, grateful to have that void of yours up and running. Though, from the way they all look at you, eyes swirling with that all too familiar darkness, you can just tell they know perfectly well what you’re thinking about.
Clearing your throat, you manage to compose yourself a bit better, even if only slightly.
“Yeosang-“
“Archery,” you cut Mingi off as you turn to face the aforementioned male. “I remember.”
The soft smile that paints your lips has all four of his brothers turning to face him. A smile of which is mirrored on his own features as he recalls the conversation that he had with you that very night all those months ago where he got to hold you in his arms as you slept. Though, the morning afterwards, in his opinion, was even better. A memory he will cherish until the end of time. A memory he will never forget.
“Mingi was never really in to the Olympics like we were,” San states, and you watch how the aforementioned man sits a little straighter in his seat. “None of us could touch him on the water, though.”
“Naval battles?” You quirk a brow, noticing how red begins to creep over the tips of his ears. At his nod, you exhale a low breath. “Literally, could you guys get any more attractive?”
Again, five pleased growls meet your ears.
“We’re just glad you’re enjoying yourself, Dearest,” Yeosang hums, leaning further back into his seat.
“I always enjoy learning more about you,” you reply honestly, and you watch as they all visibly perk up from your words, giddy smiles settling onto each of their features. “Not to mention my little historian heart is practically leaping for joy right now.”
“Is it?” Jongho grins fondly as he meets your gaze. The way they can all hear your heart racing in excitement has a warmth flooding their veins the longer this conversation draws on. “We couldn’t tell.”
Playfully, you stick your tongue out at him.
“Honestly, we could spend weeks telling you all about whatever kinds of history you want to know.” San offers, and the way your eyes instantly light up has his heart fluttering inside of his chest.
“Really?” You fail to hide how hopeful you sound.
“Anything and everything you’d like, Starlight.” Mingi confirms, nodding once he sees he’s drawn your attention back onto him for the moment.
“We are more than happy to share it all with you, Angel.” Wooyoung smiles, propping his knee up so that he can rest his one arm over top of it. He gazes at you fondly, his entire being relaxing into this moment with you.
The way they all see you visibly begin to shake in excitement, bouncing up and down slightly in your spot as a brilliant smile takes over your features, begins to rub off on all of them. None can help the way nothing but love for you floods their veins, each male gazing upon you tenderly at how eager you seem to be. The wonder alone they see reflected in your eyes sets their hearts racing inside of their chests.
“I have so many questions,” you begin, unable to prevent yourself from pacing any longer.
The fact that you need to expel that energy has both Jongho and Mingi chuckling fondly.
“How about we save them for later, though.” San smiles at you, halting you in your tracks as his one hand comes up to gently grasp the side of your arm.
“Okay,” you nod eagerly. Then, your eyes flash as you meet his gaze. “Does this mean you’re all going to teach me the different fighting styles of different cultures through the ages?”
They all share a brief look between one another.
“Oh, come on! You can’t seriously be telling me that you were only going to teach me the very basics,” you tilt your head slightly as you cross your arms over your chest.
“We can teach you as much or as little as you’d like, Darling.” Jongho chuckles, gently guiding you onto the large sparring mat once more. “We just never expected you to be so enthusiastic about it.”
“I thought I told you that dismemberment wasn’t the only violent thought I can have.” You reply, a slight amused quirk to your brow. “You know I want to be as badass and intimidating as My Kings are.”
“But, how could we ever forget?” Wooyoung practically purrs out, a pleasant rumble escaping his chest that he knows is echoed lowly by each of his brothers.
“Okay,” San chuckles, moving to stand across from you on the mat. “We’ve already taught you the basics of self-defence, and you’ve started working to increase your stamina and strength. All that’s left are some simple fighting stances, and then the real fun begins.”
A look of determination washes over your features as you all become serious in the next moment. Out of the corner of your eyes, you notice Jongho beginning to circle the mat, San explaining some basic footholds and arm blocks all the while. Of course, he’s quick to demonstrate each one, nodding in approval as he watches you copy each one.
“The most important part of your balance is your core,” he explains. “The quickest way to throw someone off their rhythm is to break through their own.”
“No matter what situation you find yourself in, there is always a way out.” Jongho adds. “Never let your enemy know they have the upper hand, unless you’re faking them out. In which case, you have to be sure you know what you’re doing.”
“We can discuss proper strategies another day,” San turns to look at his youngest brother as said male comes to stand right beside the elder. “Let’s just teach you some basic maneuvers to begin.”
Slowly, each of the two males goes through different fighting techniques. Their explanations are thorough, demonstrating the stances as often as you need them to. You pick them up pretty quickly, anyways, and by the time a few hours have passed, they all watch as you practice hitting a punching bag with a certain pride swirling within their eyes.
Taking a short break, you wipe at your brow. “You know, this would be so much easier if you guys could just like, I don’t know, Matrix teach me this stuff. That way I could practice more things on my own.”
Both San and Jongho share a look.
“Unfortunately, Gorgeous, it doesn’t work that way.” Wooyoung sighs, having shifted his position so he’s now laying on his side on the floor with his one arm propping his head up in his hand.
“Sharing those techniques mentally doesn’t necessarily give you the same experience as teaching them to you does.” Mingi comments, and you look towards where he sits. Only now, he’s leaning back slightly in his seat, his one foot resting on the edge of the chair so that his knee is bent.
“Fair enough,” you shrug. “Just a thought.”
“It might be good once you have more of the basics down.” There’s a slight furrow to Yeosang’s brows as he thinks over your words. “You could identify the techniques we’ve used, and then when you know them, emulate them.”
Your whole demeanour visibly perks up at this.
“Certain things are better if they’re taught, but sharing our knowledge could never hurt.” Wooyoung agrees with a slight nod of his head after a moment. “Let’s save that for later, though. We don’t want to overwhelm you.”
“It’s also why we’re focussing on hand to hand combat training first.” Mingi adds. “Once you know that, adding a weapon simply pulls from that combat knowledge and extends it.”
“Okay,” you nod in understanding. “Makes sense.”
“Sometimes, allowing instinct to guide you helps in a fight.” San voices as you step back over to the sparring mat. “It doesn’t work for all of us, but trusting my gut has always saved me.”
“Don’t think, just move.” Jongho hums in agreement, standing off to the side and observing the two of you.
“I think you guys have a few more years of experience than me to be able to say that,” you joke, noticing how Wooyoung begins to laugh boisterously at your statement.
“You could say that,” he grins.
“At least a few,” Yeosang chimes in, amusement shining within his gaze.
“Come on,” San grins, taking a step forward in your direction, “we still need to teach you how to grab someone and pin them.”
“I volunteer!” Wooyoung is suddenly on his feet, arm raised enthusiastically in the air.
“Calm down, you idiot.” Jongho rolls his eyes. “It’s not your day to teach, yet.”
The dramatic pout that pulls at Wooyoung’s lips as he sits back down onto the ground has you chuckling in response.
“Don’t worry, Woo, I can pin you as much as you’d like some other time,” you comment casually, not even bothering to spare him a glance out of the corner of your eyes.
Little do you see the way his eyes flash, yet you do not fail to miss the pleased growl that escapes him in that moment. The way Yeosang stiffens in his spot, pointed glare being sent towards the younger also goes unnoticed by you, but you do see the way the males in front of you seemingly go still.
“I thought you said your training wasn’t a free pass for sexy times?” Mingi grumbles, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Who said anything about it being during my training?” You smirk, noticing the way all of their eyes flash black this time in response.
“You’re a tease, you know that, right?” San gets out through gritted teeth, eyes still swirling with that all too familiar darkness as he meets your gaze.
“Am I?” You feign innocence, a slight tilt to your head. “I had no idea.”
A moment of thick silence passes over all of you.
“So,” you hum, a slight amused twitch to your brow, “pinning?”
“Oh, we’re thinking about more than just pinning you now, Darling.” Jongho’s voice is low, nothing but a growl to his words.
“What ever do you mean, Darling?” The way you drawl out that one word sends a shiver right down Jongho’s spine.
“Baby,” San warns, chest rising and falling dramatically with every breath. “You’re playing a very dangerous game.”
“It’s as I’ve said before,” you giggle, a mischievous tug of your lips upwards. “It’s so easy to rile you guys up.”
“Can you blame us, Gorgeous?” Wooyoung’s voice is somewhat breathless as it reaches your ears from behind you. “You are the greatest temptation we’ve ever known.”
“Every little thing you do enchants us.” Mingi breathes, nothing but honesty in his words as his eyes roam every inch of your figure before him.
“Knowing you want to be here with us, and stay by our sides despite everything that’s happened is more than we could have ever asked for.” Yeosang tells you, his tone soft and airy as he stares at you with nothing but love in his honest gaze.
“The more we learn about you, and the more you want to know about us is like a dream come true.” Jongho admits, taking another step in closer to you until he’s practically wrapping you in his arms. The way you’re currently covered in sweat doesn’t seem to phase him at all as he presses his head softly against your own. “The fact that you have agreed to become Our Queen means more to us than the entirety of the realms combined.”
Soft rumbles of agreement echo around the room, filling your heart with a pleasant warmth as you melt into Jongho’s embrace.
“You are everything that we could have ever asked for.” San adds, closing the short distance between you and cupping your cheek tenderly in his hand. The way you turn to meet his gaze, eyes dripping with such affection towards them says it all. “We wouldn’t give that up for anything.”
You smile, your heart beating erratically in your chest. “You’re all smooth talkers, you know that?”
They all mirror your gentle expression.
“Only for you, Baby,” San’s thumb brushes gently against the skin of your cheek. “Now, stop trying to distract us. We still have things to teach you.”
His scolding is nothing but playful as he steps away from you, a knowing gleam held within his eyes as Jongho finally releases you from his hold. The way you grin, sticking your tongue out at him in the next moment has a chuckle falling from his lips.
“Alright, teach me what else you have to teach me today before I start swooning for real,” you say, heat rising to your cheeks as you feel all of their gazes on you yet again. “You’re supposed to be training me, not romancing me right now.”
“Is it working?” Wooyoung cracks a flirtatious grin, only to be hit upside the head by Yeosang in the next second. “Ow.”
“Who said we couldn’t do both?” Mingi chuckles, his eyes gleaming beneath the florescent lights.
You simply quirk a brow in their direction, a subtle smile tugging at your lips as you turn back to face San. The way you see him already fondly staring at you sets your heart racing inside of your chest. At least you can say that you can feel their love every time they look at you. A fact which has not changed since you first understood what all those fond looks meant. Hell, even before that you could tell, even if you didn’t quite know what types of gazes they were quite yet.
Always, you and your needs have come first. Always, they have kept your best interests in mind.
They always have, and they always will.
Always, and forever.
“You already know a few things to do if someone grabs you from behind,” Jongho’s voice draws your attention to the side of the room. “Now, we’re going to teach you how to use someone’s momentum against them in order to flip them onto their back. From there, you can pin them in multiple ways.”
“If you’re lucky, you can even use the momentum to dislocate someone’s shoulder.” San adds, an eager grin pulling at his lips as he explains this to you now.
The way your eyebrows raise in mild surprise has them all chuckling fondly.
“It helps when you can sense your opponent approaching, but this will still work even after they’ve grabbed you from behind.” San continues as Jongho begins to approach him.
The younger immediately attempts to grab the elder from behind. San, of course, is expecting him, so you watch as he bends his knees slightly in anticipation. As soon as Jongho reaches for San’s back, the elder is leaning forward, flipping the younger male onto his back and pinning him to the ground. Jongho wears an annoyed expression as San twists his one arm into the air, stepping on the younger’s chest with his one foot to pin him in place.
“Of course, you can always pin them by the throat when you step on them,” San states casually as he releases his hold on his younger brother, “but the chest will also suffice.”
“Thank you for your consideration,” Jongho grumbles as he pulls himself back onto his feet.
The corner of San’s lips twitch in response.
The next flip they show you is one where someone attacks you from the front. San charges at Jongho, only for the younger to duck beneath the elder, grab him by the thigh, and vault him over his back. Immediately, Jongho is spinning around, pressing his one knee into the elder’s chest as his hand settles right beside San’s head.
“This one, you have to be a bit quicker when pinning your opponent, for they could potentially recover quickly. If that happens, you can miss the opportunity to get your hands around their throat.”Jongho explains, looking up and meeting your gaze as he pushes himself off of the elder male.
“Of course, if you’re holding a weapon, it changes the position of things, but makes taking out your opponent easier in certain cases.” San adds, standing back to his feet and dusting himself off briefly. “But these work, even against opponents bigger than you are.”
“The key gets to be the momentum so you’re not dead lifting your opponent,” Jongho goes on to say. “At least for now.”
“Makes sense,” you nod your understanding as you roll your shoulders, standing a little straighter. “Can you show me a few more times?”
“Of course, Baby,” San smiles, his eyes crinkling slightly at the sides.
Both he and Jongho eagerly move back into position, switching between who flips who. Each time, they can feel your calculating gaze on them, analyzing their movements.
“Whenever you’re ready, you can practice on one of us,” San nods in your direction.
“Or us!” Wooyoung offers, quite enthusiastically at that.
You grin back, a light chuckle escaping your lips. “Alright.”
Not even two minutes later, you find yourself running through the steps of flipping someone with both San and Jongho. One approaches from the front, while the other approaches from behind. Once you’re comfortable in the movements, and they’ve subsequently given you some pointers as you run through them, you’re ready to attempt to flip and pin them in real time.
The moment you feel Jongho at your back, it’s as if instinct kicks in. Despite only learning the movements a short while ago, it’s as if they are second nature to you. The fluidity of which you flip Jongho with surprises even them, your eyes as wide as his are as you pin him to the ground with a foot on his chest.
“You’re a natural, Dearest.” Yeosang hums, pride rumbling with his chest as he observes the scene before him.
Wooyoung lets out a boisterous laugh. “Seeing you knock Jongho on his ass is something I never knew I needed until now.”
At the way the youngest takes a menacing step towards the elder male once he’s back on his feet, you laugh. The way Wooyoung immediately raises his hands in his own defence has amusement dancing in your eyes, his grin soon mirroring your own.
“Careful, Woo,” Mingi nudges the younger male with his knee, “or you might be next."
“It’s not a threat if I’m looking forward to it,” Wooyoung’s eyebrows flick upwards suggestively in your direction.
“Should I make you wear that belled collar now?” You quirk a brow, pure mirth shining within your gaze.
“Again, not a threat if you know I’ll enjoy it.” He hums, eyes glinting deviously.
Another smack resounds around the room, the younger male rubbing at the back of his head seeing as both Mingi and Yeosang had smacked him.
“Could you imagine Captain in this scenario?” The grin that tugs at the corner of San’s lips is nothing short of devious.
“I don’t think our eldest would fair much better.” Yeosang hums, amusement dancing on his features.
“They have always loved the idea of you roughing them up a bit,” Jongho chuckles, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“They’re not the only ones.” Wooyoung grumbles, arms crossed over his chest.
Again, his comment receives him a smack upside the head from both Yeosang and Mingi. Though, Yeosang seemingly avoids your gaze, clearing his throat in the next moment.
“Don’t worry, Starlight, we’ll all keep them in check,” Mingi assures you with a light smile, of which you return.
“I’m not worried, Min,” you chuckle, turning back to face San in the next moment. “Not in the slightest.”
A moment’s pause.
“Ready, Baby?” He asks, shifting his stance slightly in preparation.
All he receives is a nod from you, determination shining once more in your eyes.
He moves.
Again, it’s like you act on instinct, the movements appearing as if they are second nature to you. San gets flipped over your back, you turning to pin him to the ground in the next second. Your one hand rests on his upper chest, just below his throat as your knee digs into his lower abdomen. The way your fingers twitch slightly along the base of his neck has a shiver running up his spine.
A brilliant smile stretches across your features as you move off of him, much too soon for his liking.
“How was that?” You help him back to his feet.
“You’re a quick study, Darling.” Jongho praises, loving the way you seem to stand a little straighter at his words.
“It’s cause I have such good teachers,” you hum, warmth flooding your chest as you see them all smiling back at you fondly.
“Let’s run through everything we’ve gone over today a few more times, then call it.” San tells you, seeing you nod your head in understanding along with his words.
Another brief silence settles around all of you as you go over all of the stances, techniques, and manoeuvres they’ve taught you. Pride fills their chests at how well you seem to pick everything up, both San and Jongho only needing to fix your positioning a few times throughout the review.
“Once you know a few more things, and have these down, we can start sparring with one another.” San grins, helping you with some cooldown stretches to make sure your muscles won’t be too sore afterwards.
“Would you guys ever let me observe you when you spar with one another?” You voice casually, noticing how San stiffens the slightest bit before you as Jongho quirks a brow.
“If that is what you wanted, Darling,” Jongho grins, eyes flashing towards his brothers, “we’d be more than happy to oblige.”
You hum, nodding your head slightly. “Good to know.”
“We’ll save that for next time, though.” Mingi says, finally standing back to his feet and stretching out his back.
“Did you want to observe us sparing with our weapons, or without?” Yeosang asks, turning towards you as you hoist yourself off of the mat after finishing your round of stretches.
“Both would be cool,” you reply, an eager gleam in your eyes. “I haven’t really seen any of you in proper action, so I’ll take anything and everything I can get.”
“We can get pretty intense when we fight one another, Dearest.” Yeosang continues. “We don’t hold back at all.”
“You can’t improve that way.” Wooyoung shrugs, heading over to the stairs with the rest of you following behind.
“We used to place bets on one another depending on who was fighting,” San recalls with a chuckle, flicking off the lights as you all head back to the main floor.
“I miss those bets sometimes,” Mingi sighs, almost wistfully.
“I almost lost an arm the last time we did that.” Wooyoung mumbles, eyes downcast.
“Not my problem,” San huffs out an amused breath.
You snort out a laugh. “I take it you can’t regrow limbs?”
“Unfortunately, it’s one of the things we can’t do.” Yeosang confirms. “Doesn’t mean we can’t reattach them, though.”
“So, you guys are virtually indestructible and immortal?” You let out a low, impressed whistle.
“Definitely not invincible, but damn near close.” Wooyoung grins at you.
“Yeah, I’d say it’s pretty hard to live without your head.” You comment, pushing the door open to the main floor and stepping out into the hallway.
“Which one?” Yeosang’s inquiry, combined with his completely deadpanned expression, has you faltering only briefly in your steps.
A boisterous laugh escapes your lips.
“Oh my god,” you lift a hand to support yourself against the wall as your chest heaves with laughter. “Depends. Which one do you use more to think with?”
“I don’t think you want to know our answers,” San mumbles, suddenly avoiding your gaze as he walks down the hall.
“I think I just got mine.” You snort out another laugh, leaning yourself fully against the wall.
At the halfhearted shrugs Mingi, Wooyoung, San, and Yeosang all give you, you find you can only smile and shake your head.
A few steps later and you find yourself just outside of your room. Stepping through the threshold reveals Kuroo curled up on that Snorlax beanbag chair off to the side. A spot of which you’re sure is one of his many favourites throughout the house.
“Thanks for today,” you smile faintly, leaning against the doorframe.
“Of course, Darling,” Jongho returns the look, that all too familiar fondness shining within his eyes. “We’ll work on some more strengthening exercises tomorrow.”
“Sounds good to me.” You nod. “Now, if you’ll excuse me. I need a shower.”
“Want some company?” Before any of his brothers can stop him, the words are out of Mingi’s mouth. The way his lips quirk upwards, a hopeful gleam in his eyes, has you shaking your head in amusement.
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves there, Min.” You grin, your one brow twitching upwards slightly. The way you see his shoulders visibly deflate, even the slightest bit, has you chuckling. At least Mingi ignores all the pointed looks his brothers are sending him for the moment. “Maybe next time.”
You don’t give any one of them a chance to properly process your words before you’re shutting the door in all of their faces. Though, at the pleased growls you can hear echoing from the opposite side of the door, you know they’ve finally registered them in their minds.
The mere thought of you allowing them to bathe with you excites them more than it should, even those who have already gotten to experience such an intimacy with you. Once is never enough, nor will it ever be enough. Not when it comes to you.
Moving over to your bathroom, you’re quick to strip yourself of your sweaty clothes and hop into the shower. The water is refreshing against your skin, and in no time at all, you find yourself relaxing beneath the spray.
Half an hour later, and you’ve finished freshening up. A clean pair of comfortable clothes rests over your figure, the familiar material of your favourite hoodie wrapping around you. The way you can faintly smell hints of apple clinging to the fabric has a smile tugging at your lips. Looks like Jongho was the last to wear it.
Exiting your room, you’re quick to make your way to the kitchen to grab another bottle of water. Taking a sip, you begin to make your way through the house, figuring you’ll head over to the library to catch up on some reading for the rest of the day. Only, as soon as you step foot into the foyer, a familiar black crow greets you, resting comfortably on Yunho’s left shoulder.
“Hello there, Stella,” you smile as she glides over to perch herself on your own shoulder. “What a lovely surprise. What brings you here today?”
“She brought some news for us.” Seonghwa appears from down the hallway, Hongjoong at his side. A book seems to be held in the eldest’s hand as they all turn to look at you.
“Though, she didn’t come alone.” Yunho breathes, a worried furrow to his brow.
“Someone got through the wards again?” Immediately, panic begins to consume you, your whole body tensing right before their very eyes.
The way they see fear spark behind your gaze has a cold sense of dread rushing down each of their spines. They only wish you didn’t have to experience such negative thoughts or emotions again. Yet, they know, they only have themselves to blame.
“No, My Love,” Hongjoong is quick to assure you, coming to stand beside you as he places a comforting hand onto your arm. “She wanted to bring someone, but they won’t be allowed in until we go to retrieve them.”
“Oh,” you find you’re instantly breathing a sigh of relief.
“Sorry, Petal, I should have clarified,” the worried crease in Yunho’s brow has yet to smooth over as he takes a small step closer to you.
“No one but us can enter our domain.” Seonghwa’s voice is firm, reassuring not only you, but all of them in the front foyer as well. “We’ve made extra sure of that, now.”
“Good,” you nod, blinking a few times to clear your vision before looking over at the three of them. “Then, who did she want to bring?”
“Someone who might be able to provide us insight on Miyeon’s plans, even after her death.” Yunho states, and you notice how stiff he stands.
Placing a gentle hand on his one arm, you notice how your touch immediately relaxes him.
“We wanted to make sure you’d be okay with it before we allowed her into our domain. We’ve mentioned her to you before, but you’ve never met her yet.” Hongjoong says, meeting your gaze. “Otherwise, we’d go to her. We just simply have better privacy here.”
You nod your understanding. “Do you trust her?”
The three males share a look between each other.
“We do.” Yunho nods once in confirmation. “At least, for the moment.”
“Besides, if she tried anything, she wouldn’t get very far.” Seonghwa adds, grip tightening the slightest bit on the book in his hands.
“Alright,” you blink. “Then, bring her in.”
Three nods are all you receive in response before you’re all moving to accommodate the new presence they are about to bring in.
Which is exactly how you find yourself face to face with Mina in the dining room two minutes later. All of the guys surround you, Stella perched precariously on the back of your chair.
You sit at one head of the table, the chair turned outwards to face Mina as she stands directly across from you. Seonghwa rests off to your left, that book resting open before him as he looks over some ancient spells with Jongho to his left. Ancient spells that might allow them access to Mina’s locked memories.
Both San and Mingi stand behind you, leaning against the wall with their arms crossed over their chests. Their gazes are sharp, unforgiving as they stare her down.
Yunho stands the closest to Mina, senses on high alert as he monitors her mind for any sudden shift in demeanour. Slowly, carefully, he begins to attempt weaving through that jumble of memories once more.
To your right, stands both Hongjoong and Yeosang. Wooyoung leans casually against the far end of the table, his hands supporting himself on the edge. Each male watches Mina closely, ready to strike at a moment’s notice.
Stiffly, you sit in your chair, eyeing the woman before you cautiously. You know for a fact that they can all hear how frantically your heart is racing inside of your chest at this very moment, but none of them say anything. The only comfort you get for the moment is Hongjoong’s one hand tenderly placed atop your right shoulder, grounding you in this moment.
In your left hand, your therapy pebble resides, thumb brushing over the smooth side in tandem.
You take a deep breath in to steady your nerves.
“Thank you for agreeing to let me speak with you on such short notice, Your Majesties.” She bows lowly as she addresses all of you. “It is an honour to be allowed inside your home.”
Your brow twitches the slightest bit upwards as you watch her sink to her knees before you. Even more shocking, is when she formerly bows to you, pressing her forehead against her hands on the ground.
“An even greater honour, still, to be formally graced by your presence, My Queen.” She breathes, a slight tremble to her voice. Almost as if she’s nervous, not about how they might react, but how you might perceive her. “I count myself truly lucky to appear before you today.”
Her words catch you so off guard that your thumb stills over your stone.
You blink in shock, a momentary silence settling over the room. That’s when you realize, they’re all waiting for you to speak. All eight of them are allowing you to take the lead right now. You control the flow and outcome of this meeting, and they are more than ready and willing to act upon any of your wishes at a moment’s notice.
You exhale lowly once more to steady your nerves.
“Lift your head.” You surprise even yourself at how commanding your tone is. “Mina, is it?”
She meets your gaze, nodding softly. “Yes, Your Majesty. That is correct.”
The way she continues to address you so formally while remaining on her knees before you, throws you for a loop. You’ve never had anyone other than the eight men within this same room refer to you as such. Yet, hearing it from someone else’s mouth feels different. Something you’ll definitely have to get used to.
“Miyeon was your sister.” You state, rather firmly.
“She was.” Mina confirms, the subtlest of downturns to her lips.
Your hand tightens around that little pebble held within your grasp.
“Are you aware of the extent she went to in attempts to destroy me?” There’s a slight shift in your voice, a dullness that wasn’t there before as you continue to stare the female before you down.
Mina’s expression falls, shame washing over her features. “I am aware my sister had her own, private vendetta against you. However, I am unaware of the direct actions she has taken against you, Your Majesty.”
You tilt your head slightly, noticing the carefulness of her choice of words.
“I will not ask for you to forgive her, Your Majesties, for she does not deserve it.” Mina is quick to continue, diverting her gaze to the side as a hint of bitterness begins to coat her words. “She has brought great shame to our clan, and if I had known before what she had been capable of, I would have done everything in my power to stop her.”
“Hindsight is nice, after the fact,” Wooyoung spits rather harshly, his whole body visibly shaking as he pushes himself off of the side of the table.
Gently, you brush against that all too familiar pure white string inside your mind, and you watch as his shoulders relax. Even if only slightly.
Carefully, you study Mina before you.
“You were aware, to some extent, what she had planned for me.” Not a question, but a statement.
A second of hesitation. “Yes, My Queen.”
Both San and Seonghwa nearly lunge for her right then and there. Even Hongjoong, Wooyoung, and Yeosang find it difficult to hold themselves back from skinning her alive this very second. Only, the way you shift forward in your seat, lifting your right hand upwards slightly in pause halts them in their tracks.
“Why have you waited until now to disclose this information with us?” San’s voice is pointed, tone the darkest you’ve ever heard from him as his words boarder on a low growl. You don’t even have to be looking at him to know his chest is heaving in barely controlled rage.
“I wasn’t conscious of it before this morning.” Mina replies, fear beginning to shine behind her eyes.
“You’re remembering things?” Your head tilts forward, eyes narrowing slightly as you look at her.
“Ever since my sister’s passing, the lines are becoming less blurred.” Mina admits, beginning to nervously wring her fingers together in her lap as she sits back on her knees. “King Yunho told me to contact all of you should my memory begin to become clearer.”
“Which is why you’re here now.” You nod gently in understanding.
“I don’t remember everything,” she shakes her head slightly, tears of frustration lining her eyes. “It’s painful for me to attempt to shift through anything more than just basics, but I’m trying. I’m tired of my sister always getting whatever she wants, even in death.”
Something clicks inside your mind, and understanding paints your features. “You resent her, don’t you?”
Mina purses her lips, and you’re sure she’s about to deny it. That is, until she’s heaving a large sigh, her shoulders deflating as she averts her gaze to the ground.
“More than anything.”
You feel Hongjoong’s hand tighten its grip slightly on your shoulder.
You open up your void.
Even I was unaware of that fact, Petal. Yunho meets your gaze only briefly from across the room. Her mind never let on to that.
How could you tell? There’s nothing but curiosity in Wooyoung’s voice as he turns his head in your direction.
My sister and I weren’t always as close as we are now. You respond, standing from your seat. I’d know that look anywhere.
The movement draws all of their attention for the moment, Hongjoong’s fingers sinking a little firmer into your shoulder as he attempts to prevent you from taking another step forward. At the small, reassuring look you send his way, he backs off.
“This whole time, you’ve yet to address your sister by her name.” You observe, coming to crouch before her. That stone is still held tightly in your left hand, and you use it as a lifeline for the moment as you steel your nerves. “That’s pointed on your part.”
“She doesn’t deserve the satisfaction of having anyone speak her name more than is absolutely necessary.” Mina’s brow furrows, bitterness now clear on her features. “Once is too much.”
You hum, bringing a finger up to guide her gaze back to your own briefly. Once you have her attention, your eyes locked with her own, you notice she cannot look away.
“She always got what she wanted, didn’t she? No questions. No consequence.” You watch her eyes flash, a small scowl pulling at her lips. “How many times had you heard someone tell her that this would be the last time, only for it to become a blatant lie?”
“All she ever did was take and take until there was nothing left for her to desire anymore,” Mina spits, her hands now clenched into fists at her sides. “Even if she had the entire world, it would never be enough for her.”
“She wanted it all, and she didn’t care who she took down in the process.” You add, watching as Mina nods furiously along with your words.
“Her two end goals were destroying you, and claiming the throne with King Yeosang at her side.” Mina confirms.
Little do you see the way all eight of them stiffen around the room. Yunho’s lids fall shut almost immediately, his eyes darting around every which way beneath them as he continues to work to untangle that thread of memories while you speak.
“I’m sure Dimitri didn’t like that idea all that much,” you hum, a slight quirk to your brow.
“No, the warlock was none too pleased to learn of that little detail in her plan-“ Mina’s breath hitches, voice suddenly failing her.
A collective stillness passes over the room.
“Dimitri was with you the day she came for a visit, wasn’t he?” You press, watching every twitch of her features carefully.
“Yes!” A flash of clarity shines within Mina’s eyes, of which widen suddenly. “Yes, Your Majesty. He was!”
Out of the corner of your eyes, you notice Yunho nodding subtly.
Mina begins to blink rapidly, brow tugging downwards as she suddenly clutches the side of her head in pain. Her breathing starts to become laboured, and you can see her eyes darting every which way around the room.
“Hey, hey,” you draw her attention to you once more, expression softening as you gently clasp her free hand in your own. “Look at me.” She does, eyes fixated on your own at your command. Firmly, you press that stone still held in your one hand against the skin of her palm, grounding her to you. “Get her out of your own head.”
Mina’s eyes squeeze shut. “She’s not alone.”
“It’s Dimitri, isn’t it?” Your voice is gentle, much softer than it had been only a moment before.
She nods, no longer able to verbalize her responses.
“She hurt him, too.” You say. “She killed his wife and two children to grab hold over him.”
“Family never meant much to her, anyways.” She replies, sadly. “I wondered why he looked so sad.”
“Sad?” You inquire, tilting your head slightly as you move to rest on your knees before her.
“He held himself firmly, but you cannot hide a broken interior.” Mina breathes, squeezing your hand slightly in her own.
“No,” you hum in agreement, understanding flashing within your gaze. “You truly can’t.”
Slowly, you push yourself back to your feet, noticing how Mina opts to remain on her knees before you. Carefully, she leans her head forward to rest on you hands still holding onto her own.
“Thank you, My Queen,” a tear lands on your skin, followed by another, and then another. “Thank you.”
“Whatever for, Mina?” Your brow furrows slightly as you continue to stare down at her.
The way she looks up at you in awe, gratitude shining within her teary eyes, has your breath hitching in your throat.
“You understand me.” She squeezes your hand once more. “My mind feels lighter because of you.”
“I doubt that was because of me,” you smile faintly, eyes briefly darting over towards where Yunho stands off to the side, his gaze already fixated on you. The pride you can see swirling within him as he looks at you so fondly has a warmth blooming in your chest, a subtle heat creeping up your neck. A look that you have no doubt is mirrored on seven other male’s faces behind you as you can feel their stares locked on your very figure.
“I don’t remember everything, yet,” she continues, a slight furrow to her brow as she attempts to recall more of her locked memories, “but things are starting to become clearer.”
“Were you able to tell us all that you came here for today?” You slowly help her back onto her feet, staring into her eyes as she stands across from you.
“I believe so,” she takes a moment to contemplate your words. At the way you raise an eyebrow, she blinks. “I remembered seeing another figure in my memories with her. I realize now it was Dimitri. She hardly ever did ‘meetings’ with Malik present.”
At her words, a mild surprise pulls at more than just your own features.
“Malik was used for more behind the scenes operations for the rebellion.” She adds. “Miyeon didn’t trust him to do the true dirty work. Hell, she didn’t trust anybody.”
You hum, somewhat in feigned understanding. “What a sad life to lead.”
“Indeed.” Mina confirms. Then, in the next moment, she’s blinking, as if remembering where she is, and who she stands before. Awkwardly, she clears her throat, pulling her hands out of your grasp as a vibrant red spreads across her cheeks. “Oh my, I am so sorry for intruding on your personal space like that, Your Majesty.”
Frantically, she begins to bow, eyes darting around the room to look at the eight males still observing the scene before them.
“It’s okay, Mina.” You chuckle, gently grasping her arms as you straighten her in her spot. The poor girl looks like a deer caught in headlights as you drop your hands back to your sides. “I’m sorry for invading your personal space.”
The red across her features darkens as she averts her gaze bashfully. “I don’t mind at all, My Queen.”
Low growls of warning echo around the room from each male present. Only, they’re cut off by your boisterous laughter.
“Oh, Reina would love you.” You grin, taking a step back from the demon fidgeting before you beneath the intense stares of all Eight Kings of the Realm. You snort, moving back beside Hongjoong for the moment and nudging him gently. “Will you all knock it off.”
Immediately, the tension is lessoning within the room.
Mina clears her throat. “Who’s Reina?”
“Never you mind for now,” you chuckle, tucking that small stone into the front pocket of your jeans. “I’m sure you’ll meet her sooner, than later.”
“I hope to be able to gain her favour, then.” Mina bows her head slightly. “She sounds important to you.”
Again, you hum in acknowledgement. “Depends. Do you like photography?”
There’s something endearing about the way Mina smiles shyly. “In all honesty, I’ve always had a passion for it, My Queen.”
“Starlight, I don’t think now is the time to be playing matchmaker.” Mingi takes a step forward, to which you spare a glance at him from over your shoulder.
You shrug, sitting back down in you seat for the moment. “I’m just looking out for my girl.”
Hongjoong chuckles softly before turning back to face Mina in front of you.
“Is there anything else we should know about?” His voice commands the room, and even you find yourself straightening slightly in your spot.
“I have said all that I have come here to say.” Mina bows once more. “I thank you again for allowing me to seek council in your own domain, Your Majesties.”
All she receives is a few curt nods in response from the eight of them while you smile kindly at her from across the way. A moment later, and Stella has flown over to Mina’s shoulder, perching there as Yunho teleports them both out of the room.
As soon as you’re alone with the eight of them once more, a weight you hadn’t realized you’d been holding onto lifts from your shoulder. Breathing a sigh of relief, you practically deflate into the chair.
“Where did that come from?” Wooyoung’s tone holds nothing but pleasant surprise as they all look at you for the time being.
You spare a sudden nervous glance around at all of them now that their gazes are locked on you. “I’m sorry?”
The way your voice trails upwards at the end of your sentence has Yeosang, Yunho, and Jongho all raising their brows amusedly at you.
“What ever would you need to apologize for, My Love?” Hongjoong kneels beside you, taking your hand into his own. Nothing but pride shines behind his eyes as he meets your gaze, gently bringing the back of your hand up to his lips to place a tender kiss upon your skin. “You handled that beautifully.”
Mingi steps in behind you, gently brushing his hand over the top of your head. “Our Queen.”
Eight content rumbles reach your ears, and you find you cannot prevent the way warmth blooms on your cheeks once more.
“I thought I totally messed that up.” You admit lowly, sinking further into the chair you’re in.
“Not at all, Petal,” Yunho shakes his head, loving smile stretching across his features. “Because of you, I was able to untangle more of that knot of memories within her mind.”
“Really?” For the second time that day, you fail to hide how hopeful you sound. At the way he nods, you cannot prevent the way a large smile tugs at your lips.
“What else did you find?” Yeosang turns towards the taller male.
“Everything she spoke was the truth,” Yunho says, a firm nod to his head. “That, and Mina had to be held back while her sister and Dimitri implemented such a charm on her mind. Though, It seems she’s right about Dimitri. Perhaps we might be able to free his mind once we free her own.”
“That’s good, isn’t it?” You reply, looking around at all of them.
“To an extent.” Seonghwa confirms. “We still know next to nothing about her plans with Malik, or when and where they plan to strike.”
“We also have no idea why she chose her allies the way she did.” Jongho frowns, leaning forward to rest his one arm on the table.
Your own arms cross over your chest, gaze staring intently at the floor near your feet. A million different thoughts race through your mind for the moment, not all of them pleasant.
“Are the dragons the only ones we know of that have denied a proposition to form an alliance with her?” Your calculating gaze shifts from the floor to spare a look around at all of them.
“As far as we know.” Hongjoong confirms. “Only the sirens have betrayed us.”
“For now.” San huffs, a roll to his eyes.
“Dimitri’s hunters, witches, and warlocks might not have had a choice in the matter.” Yeosang moves to sit himself in one of the other chairs at the table beside you.
“Are there more of them than just the ones who ally with Dimitri?” You ask, curiosity gleaming within your eyes.
“There are,” Mingi confirms with a slight grimace, “but there aren’t many you want to be associating yourself with. Those are the ones who only do business with you if it benefits them greatly. Most of the time, they’re the ones who make sure you end up dead.”
“There are also those that remain undiscovered.” Wooyoung adds, leaning once more against the side of the table.
“Undiscovered?” You tilt your head slightly.
“Either they choose to remain hidden to live in peace, or they are unaware of the power they possess.” Seonghwa explains.
“Ah, I see,” you hum in understanding. “So, attempting to find them is essentially a waste of time.”
“Essentially,” San agrees. “Unless you know where to look.”
“We don’t have time for that.” Yeosang shakes his head.
“We could always proposition the lycans,” Mingi suggests. “They’re always itching for a good fight to expel their energy.”
“If the gorgons and harpies fail, we might just have to.” Hongjoong’s lips pull downwards as he lets out a long exhale through his nose.
“I just can’t figure out what she could have possibly promised them to sway them onto her side.” Yunho stares deeply at the top of the table, wracking his brain for a solution to a problem he can’t quite comprehend.
“I doubt they would have agreed if she told them she had plans to rule over everything.” You voice, jaw twitching slightly as your mind continues to race.
“Everything?” Yeosang meets your gaze, confusion clear in his eyes. “What do you mean by that?”
“I have a theory, and I don’t think any of us are going to like it very much.” You grimace slightly, standing back to your feet in the next moment.
“What are you thinking, Darling?” Jongho watches as you turn around to face him and his brothers fully.
You let out a brief exhale through your nose. “I need to talk to Wyno.”

Part One: Blood, Sweat and Tears
Gone. The word echoed through your head like a broken record as you sit motionless against the rusting fridge in your poor excuse for a kitchen. The moment you saw the crew walking back to you, sans Steve, with their heads hung low, you knew. Dustin's eyes met yours, heavy with emotion and you couldn’t contain it. He wasn’t coming back.
The last few hours have been a blur. Robin driving you home, offering to stay the night, pushing aside her own needs post Upside-Down to make sure yours were accommodated first. But all you wanted, needed, right now was to be alone. The second she shut the door to the trailer behind her, the silence filled the space and it all came crashing down.
He’s gone, and he didn’t even know.
From the get-go, you and Steve had never been anything serious. You had started out strictly friends-with-benefits, a name on one another’s rotating rosters. But as the year passed, you began spending time with his circle and cutting out the other men in your life. He introduced you to Robin, who you immediately clicked with and twisted Keith’s arm until he offered you a job at Family Video with the duo. You would accompany him on “babysitting” duties, as Dustin often insisted on your presence to keep Steve in line. Despite the casual nature of your relationship, you and Steve had grown closer by the day. You knew he was still seeing other girls, but that didn’t bother you. After all, that’s all this was meant to be: casual, detached.
And then that fucking test happened.
It started off as a slow Tuesday morning with Robin, the two of you using the front counter of Family Video as your personal breakfast bar. You unwrapped your monstrosity of a meal, a PBJ sandwich with pickles and Hot Cheetos on the side.
“Jesus Christ, did someone hold you hostage and force you to make that?” She gawked at your sandwich, inspecting the leftover half as you shoved the soft white bread into your mouth. You let out a dramatic hum as the salty yet sweet combination hit your tongue, quickly following it with the heat from the Cheetos to ensure maximum taste to texture impact.
“Shit, so good! Don’t knock it until you try it. It’s like sex in your mouth.” You replied, the thick peanut butter coating your teeth and muffling your words. Robin dropped the sandwich down on the counter, clearly not about to partake in your offer to share this morning.
“I’ll take your word for it. I’m happy with my choice, thank you very much.” She proudly unwraps her breakfast muffin. Thick orange American cheese hangs over the lip, nestled between fatty bacon and a sunny-side up egg. You wrinkle your nose in disgust, waving your hand in her direction.
“Oh god, get that away from me! The smell of the egg-” You shake your head, pacing a few steps backwards to get away from the stench of her unappetising breakfast choice. She quirks her brow at you, you can practically see the cogs turning in her brain.
“You love my Buckley McMuffins.”
“Not today, I don’t.” You can feel your stomach churning, and reach for your large cherry slushie, hoping the sugary-sweet drink will quell the storm brewing in your tummy.
Robin’s expression begins to morphe as she studies you intently, like a child fascinated by their favorite animal at the zoo. You, on the other hand, are not so impressed by her gawking.
“What?!” You snap, slightly irritated. Immediately, you feel a wash of guilt come over you, why did you just snap at her like that? “Sorry, I didn’t mean-”
“You and Steve are using protection, right?” You practically choke on your slushie at the candidness of her question so early in the morning.
“Robin!”
“I don’t need all the details of your sex life. I’m just wondering-”
“Of course we do! God, the last thing I need right now is a kid.” You shake the mere thought out of your head.
“Yeah, no totally. I mean, pregnancy alone is a lot to deal with, y’know, what with all the cravings and hormones making you snappy and irritable-”
“Robin.”
“- not to mention the nausea-”
“I had a bad fish taco last week! And I-”
“-Restlessness, acne, your boobs get massive-”
“Robin! I-” You shake your head at her insinuations. “Wait, do you think my boobs have gotten bigger?”
Her eyes widen as she nods her head. “Um, hello! You’re giving the Elvira cut-out a run for her money. We should take her down and just have you stand in the window.”
Oh, she’s serious. You let out an incredulous laugh.
“Absolutely not, like there’s no way! I mean, Steve and I are careful. Like, most of the time. And I would have noticed by now if something was off? Like, yeah, my period has been a bit all over the shop lately but that’s normal…” Robin squints slightly at you as she watches you subconsciously shift from trying to convince her to trying to convince yourself. The realization begins to wash over you, and you feel the pit of your stomach drop. “Oh, fuck.”
The two of you took an extended lunch break to take a trip to the store, and three tests later, your fears were confirmed. Your head began racing a million miles an hour, and thankfully Robin was happy to cover for you for the rest of the day. How were you going to tell Steve?
And then, suddenly, there was no time. Now, you’ll never have the chance to tell him.
A gutteral sob left your throat before you had the chance to register it, bringing you crashing down to reality. Sitting on the laminate floors of your cramped kitchen, the overhead fluorescent illuminating your shaking legs extended in front of you. Unable and unwilling to hold back your emotions any longer, you opened the floodgates and allowed tears to flow freely down your cheeks. The type of pain where it felt like your heart was being crushed in your chest, diaphragm spasming as it struggled to keep up with the pace of your sobs. You tucked your knees into your chest and hugged them tightly, as if willing to vanish from this world completely. You’re not sure how long you stay there for, time seemingly pausing for your pain. It’s not until you hear a sharp knock at the door that you’re snapped back to reality.
“Go away, Robin.” She really is a wonderful friend, but seeing her in this state is the absolute last thing you need right now.
Another knock.
You throw your head back against the cool surface of the fridge in defeat before getting to your feet. Wiping away the streaks of tears that now stain your puffy and pink cheeks, you make a miniscule effort to pull yourself together as you walk to the door, hoping to make this interaction brief.
“Robin, please, just go home-” You swing open the creaking door, running a hand over your face in exasperation. Instead of being greeted with Robin’s smaller frame, you’re instead confronted with a taller, darker frame. Despite being obscured by the dim night, the mess of hair crowning his head is unmistakable.
“Eddie?” As he takes a step closer to the door, you can now see he’s looking worse for wear, despite having cleaned up post Upside-Down. Fresh cuts mark his face, dirt under his fingernails indicate his attention wasn’t on the details of his appearance.
“Hey.” He quietly mumbles, staring down at his stained Reeboks. “I, um- I just wanted to see how you were going.”
You purse your lips together, trying to keep the floodgates closed until you are back in your bubble of solitude.
“Yeah. I’m- I’m here.” That’s the best you can do right now, here sums it up. You’re still here, unlike Steve…
You scrunch up your face into a forced smile, hoping that will satiate Eddie. He gives a solemn nod, clearing his throat as he contemplates his next words. He shifts his weight uncomfortably, and you can’t help but wonder if someone has sent him here to check up on you. Dustin, perhaps?
“Well, I’ll uh- leave you to it.” He chews nervously on his lower lip, sure to break one of the fresh scabs that has begun to crust over. “But um- y’know if you’re ever not okay or just like, need some help or company or whatever- you know where to find me.”
He gestures to the adjacent trailer, and you give a small but more genuine smile.
“Sure, Eddie. You too, okay?” He gives a nod and a small wave as he turns back to his home, and you close the door behind him.
You lean against the frame and pull up your oversized sweatshirt, pushing the thought of how it once belonged to Steve out of your mind. You peer down at your slightly swollen belly, a barely noticeable bump protruding but undetectable to anyone who was unaware. You take a deep inhale as you run your fingertips against the delicate skin.
It’s nice to know you’ll never be completely alone.

Skirt lifter (Chapter 12)
Tumblr media
Genre: High-school au, slow burning love, fluff, mention of mature language (+14)
Pairing: non idol Park Seonghwa x fem named reader
Summary: In which Park Seonghwa is accused of being a pervert.
Word count: 1.9k
Taglist: @dinossaurz @hecateslittlewitchling @babigriin (if anyone wants to be added, please comment)
I laid down on the grass groaning, not caring of the others look at me weirdly. I enjoy the sun and the quiet of the place for a moment, today was an exhausting morning.
"You look like you're about to die."
"That's because I am." I replied still laying on the grass.
Wooyoung sit next to me, he didn't said anything for a while just watching something from afar. I sit down and looked what he was was looking.
There was a basketball game and the players were Hongjoong, Seonghwa, San, Yunho and other people, Yeosang was cheering for them and I smiled internally he is so cute.
"You don't wanna play?" I asked after a while of being in silence.
"Nah, it's boring." He shook his head. "You should come to the party."
"If you're here by Seonghwa's request, you can tell him to go to..." Wooyoung laughed.
"I'm here on my own." He replied still laughing. "We'll be there too so it's gonna be fun."
"You and I have different meaning of having fun, besides I don't know the celebrant and I wasn't invited."
"That's why we're inviting you. So what do you say?"
"I don't know." I mumbled and he pouted.
"At least think about it, the party is next week so you have plenty of time."

In our third day here, each team had the task to scout 20 pounds of fruits all over the area. Supposedly, this activity will challenge our abilities to work with what we have, for a moment it seems fair until San showed us the paper that he pulled out.
"How can you choose peanuts out of all the fruits here?" Hongjoong massage his nose bridge. "How unlucky are you San."
"Now we have to scrounge for fucking peanuts?" I frowned looking at the paper with 'peanuts' write in.
"I'm sorry." San mumbled sitting on the floor.
Hongjoong and I exchange glances, feeling a little guilty for what he said to San, it wasn't his fault it was just luck what paper you take so we can blame him.
20 minutes later
I'm carrying 20 pounds of peanuts after been digging through the dirt for an hour. I willed myself to the common room while struggling to lift the basket of fruit.
"Peanuts?" Seonghwa asked looking at my basket.
"Peanuts."
"I got watermelon."
"I hate San." I said feeling jealous that Seonghwa didn't have to go through dirt.
"As you should." He replied and natched the peanut basket. "Where are they, isn't it supposed to be a group task?"
"San slipped and sprained his ankle and Hongjoong took him to the infirmary."
"Well, that suck Pororo." He laughed.
"Don't you have anything better to do Seonghwa?" I rolled my eyes.
"What's better than annoying you?" He smiled and continued walking. "Have you changed your mind about been my date?"
"I have actually."
"And?"
"I realized that I haven't expressed how much I don't want to go with you." He leave the basket on a table.
"What can I do to change your mind Pororo?" He pouted at me.
"Open all of these peanuts." I signaled the basket.
"You promise?" He asked excitedly.
"Sure, while you're on it peel the skin of the peanuts too." I said sarcastically and leave the room.
☆☆☆☆☆
After confirm with the teacher that we had already complete our task, I paid a visit to San at the infirmary to deliver the news to him.
I thought that Seonghwa will come along, but after I leave him in the room he disappeared.
"Hey." I open the door and look a San, he looked like a sad kitty. "You good?"
"Yeah a little sore but thanks for asking." He mumbled sad.
"Don't worry, I finish the activity. You can call me a peanut Master now." San let out a cute laugh. "Where's Hongjoong?"
"He went informed the teacher about what happened. I'm sorry that you had to do the task alone." He mumbled playing with his fingers without looking at me.
"It's fine, seeing you fell down, was an entertaining thing." I teased him and he smiled.
"I'm gonna let that since I can see how you work hard based on the dirt in your nails." He pointed at my hands.
"Yeah, I have tried to remove it, but I couldn't."
Suddenly, San look though the drawer next to him, looking for something and he pulls out a needle.
"Hand." He signaled my hand.
"I'm not a dog." He laughed and take my hand. "Prick me and I'll give you a bruise worse that Seonghwa."
"Don't worry I got it." He replied and focused on his task.
"Wow, you're really good."
"I should be, my older sister makes me clean and painted her nails all the time."
That statement makes my heart warm, brothers helping their sisters doing stuff with her. The closest to a brother that I have is Jongho and he was way afar from that, the door open again making the both of us look.
"Hey, Minseo." Hongjoong greeted and some people were behind him.
Wooyoung, Yunho and Yeosang entered the room settled themselves around San's bed asking if he was feeling good and I smile of how they care for him.
"We appreciate you finishing up the task." Hongjoong mentioned "How can we repay you?"
"Forget it, it's done now."
"But..."
"Where's Seonghwa?" San asked
"He said he'll visit you later, he said he has something to do." Wooyoung answered.
"Doing what?" Yunho asked.
"I don't know, but he had a basket of peanuts with him and he was cracking them." The red hair boy explained confused.
I felt that it was my responsibility to look for Seonghwa and check why he was a real dummy for doing that stupid task that I told him.
"Leaving since Seonghwa isn't here?" Yeosang asked teasing me.
"Please, he's the last person I want to see." I lied looking at the room.
"You're a terrible liar like Seonghwa." San mentioned and shook his head.
"I'm not, I was just planning to take a shower."
"Sure." The five boys said nodding their heads.
"He's in our room, it's the room #10." Wooyoung mentioned and I just nodded.
I reached to the sleeping quarters, going to the boys floor were some guys approached and started whispering lookingbat me but I ignored and continued my way searching Seonghwa's room.
"Someone's gonna get some." A boy whispererd out loud so I can hear him and I just rolled my eyes.
Finally, I reached the room#10, I was about to knock when I noticed the door was cracked open.
I took a peek and saw the guy sitting on the floor with the basket of peanuts and some sheels of peanuts around him.
"Ah, the things I do for you Pororo." He sighed and shook his head and continued with his task.
I blushed at his words, my eyes shifted to the floor where the basket now was already halfway full with unpeeled peanuts. The guilty flooded at me. I knocked the door and entered the room and Seonghwa looked at me with shock.
"What the fuck are you doing Seonghwa?" I snapped at him.
"You have been asking me that lately." He laughed and Crack a peanut. "What are you doing here Pororo?"
"Stopping you."
"From?"
"This, quit it Seonghwa! I was joking." He sighed as he rested his back on a bed beside him.
"I figured out, but I just wanted to give it a shot." He took the basket of peanuts and patted the spot next to him. "Can get these to waste."
"Okey." I murmured and sit next to him.
"Do you hate me that much that the idea of going with me at a party upset you?" He took one peanut and eat it.
"I don't hate you." I said taking one too.
"Then what is it?"
"I don't belonged in your circle Seonghwa. Just asked other person to go with you."
"I told you, I don't want to go with someone else."
"Why?"
"If it's not already obvious Pororo , I..."
The door slammed open and Hongjoong, Yunho, Yeosang and Wooyoung fell on too each other and groaned from the door.
"San you're an idiot." Wooyoung hissed.
"Don't put it on me, I'm injured." He defend himself.
"Are those our peanuts?" Hongjoong asked looking at the basket and we nodded.
"What's up roomie?" Wooyoung put an arm on Seonghwa's shoulder smiling at him. "You're looking really handsome today." He patted his blonde hair and Seonghwa glare at him.
"What are we talking about?" San sit down on a bed.
"About how dumb you're for sprainning yourself." Seonghwa snapped and I stand up. "Are you leaving?"
"Yeah, I'm not supposed to be here." I remind him, he tried to stand up but was held by Yunho and Yeosang.
"You're not going anywhere." Hongjoong held him too and they started discussing.
I walked out of the room walking down the hallway, when I stopped at the middle of the hallway and chewed my bottom lip.
I spun on my heels and started walking to room#10 again, and I knocked and waited for a response, hearing Wooyoung said 'come in' and I cracked open the door and peeked inside and the six boys turned to looked at me at the same time.
I'll regret for this later.
"Just wanted to ask if there's a theme for the party?"
Some days later
Finally we were going back to the city, I just wanted to take the bus and get out of this hell.
"I forgot to ask you, what made you change your mind?" Hongjoong whispered dramatically.
"Never think you'll be a gossip girl!"
"One of the buses has a flat tire, therefore the students of class will be evenly distributed to the other buses." The teacher announced.
When everything was settled and we where distributed, I settled myself on my seat next to the window, leaving my stuff in the free seat.
"Hello Pororo." Seonghwa smile as he lifted his suitcase and move my suitcase taking the seat next to me.
"What are you doing here?"
"Weren't you listening Pororo? There's a flat..."
"Yeah yeah I know, but where's San?"
"He took a car due to his injury." He replied and suddenly I want to had an ankle sprained. "So, whether you like it or not you're stuck with me for the next six hours."
He looked at me smiling and I just avoid his eyes looking by the window blushing when a flash greet us and see Hongjoong holding a camera.
"That's a cute photo." Hongjoong gushed before he showed us the picture.
"Why did you bring a camera with you?" I asked
"I was instructed to take some picture for the yearbook." He explained "Would you mind reviewing the pictures and check which ones are the best."
After hours of looking at Hongjoong's pictures I felt car sickness and gave the camera to Seonghwa so I can rest a little by looking at the window.
Seonghwa was so concentrated looking at the pictures, he bit his lip concentrating in every picture that he saw. Every time he found a picture he like, his eyes light up and seems that he was falling in love with every landscape picture that he saw.
"Are you checking me out Pororo?"
"Yes."
"And?" He rested the camera on his lap.
"You already know that you're handsome Seonghwa, my opinion of you doesn't matter."

Jason Todd x Filipino! reader headcanons
A/n: i don’t care if this will be my most flopped post, I had to do God’s work
He would LOVE Filipino food
Jason is pretty open with food considering he has traveled frequently for work.
Being accustomed to seeing rice available even if it’s high in carbs lol. Started as a pancit (stir fried noodles) boy to a BIG garlic rice boy ever since you’ve introduced him to it.
Could see him really liking champorado (chocolate rice porridge) for some reason, since there is something so homey about it. Plus it’s not that sweet. He definitely have tried it with tuyo (salted dried fish) when you mentioned it but prefers it just the champorado alone.
Jason enjoys Jollibee most specifically the fried chicken, both of you have movie nights with a bucket on the coffee table with pineapple juice or alcohol. Would find Filipino spaghetti ‘meh’ cause it’s a bit too sweet for his liking but he wouldn’t mind it after a few more tries since there’s that child-like taste that makes it addicting.
Would 100% love lumpiang shanghai (Filipino spring rolls) and quotes as he explains it to Roy or any of his brothers ‘a way better version of Chinese spring rolls’, just like how you told him. He stops craving for the usual spring rolls if you guys go for Chinese take outs from then on.
Despite what the media depicts of having adobo (soy sauce & vinegar chicken stew), sinigang (tamarind stew) or ube hyped. He does think Filipino food is still very underrated compared to Thai, Chinese, Japanese etc.
Could also see him enjoying clear soup stews like pork sinigang (tamarind broth stew, though initially too sour for him comes to like it later on) & bulalo (clear soup with beef shanks & bone marrow) because of the homey taste versus the flavored stews but he definitely still enjoys them (also see him being a big kare- kare (peanut butter stew) lover by your influence despite not fully able to handle bagoong (shrimp paste) because of how pungent & salty it is, I think he would unconsciously get used to it.
Like every other man, he would be a sucker for San Miguel beer. He knew about it even before both of you were dating since there is a small Filipino town in Gotham. Considering he goes to different bars from time to time. He would enjoy the concept of food on sizzling plate but it would take time for him to actually try exotic street food specially Balut (duck embryo) lol. But he’s down for it!
Spicy White Boy
Canon- wise, he knows Portuguese and there are lots of similar words with Spanish. Which I’m sure he knows maybe the most basic and common sense ones; so Jason understanding a good amount of Tagalog shouldn’t be surprising but would baffle you when you find out he started learning bit by bit for you.
It is very impressive indeed, there are not a lot of good resources in studying it. However, Jason is a Wayne and if his father was able to learn Kryptonian. He would easily be in a level of fluency by time.
And being the intelligent simp he is. He would understand it in a good level in less than a year or two when both of you are pretty much ‘all in’ in the relationship. Especially when you brought up one time before you were both exclusive, that you were scared of the idea of your partner being left out in family events even if English is pretty much the second main language in the Philippines.
Though I feel he would have more confidence in trying to speak the language after a few more years including a few slangs cause he doesn’t want to handle the anxiety of being roasted by your family & friends even if he obviously has thick-ass skin.
You keep telling him that he has already won his parents approval (too fast) when he swoon them with just the use of ‘po’ and ‘opo’ the first time meeting them. Plus the very occasional whispers of ‘gwapo’ , handsome, or ‘matangkad’, tall, here and there would give him a mix of a sheepish ego boost.
Culture Differences
THE ‘NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE’ RULE is a mutual practice that both of you have no problem doing. It has always been a routine for Jason when he gets home and right away he would wash up just so he could be in bed with you.
The no shoes rule seems to be only followed by Alfred when he drops by with groceries for him in his apartment. It bewilders his siblings when he makes a big deal out of it even if they are just dropping by (uninvited as usual) but also more like so you wouldn’t get triggered if you get to meet them but frankly it triggers Jason more since he’s quite neat as a roomie (plus future hubby points too.)
THE FAMILY CULTURE in a Filipino household is usually a mix of chaos and laughter which Jason is quite familiar with but with your family he could tell how close all of you are from all the frequent get together celebrations or holiday trips.
But also he was told a few times from some neighborhood titos (uncle) when he was still in the streets that the number 1 rule when dating a pinoy (shortened term for Filipino) is if you’re ‘dating a Filipino you’re also dating their whole family.’ You even tell him when you show pictures of your immediate relatives and family, that it’s basically a whole village if you include your extended relatives which shocks him even more. You don’t even know who are all your aunts or uncles names nor your second cousins.
You gave him a heads up and number of pointers to Jason when you were both talking about your families plus the never ending group pictures and selfies that awaits. You get worried if he would be overwhelmed even if he tells you, “Doll, don’t worry you literally met mine” “It’s not the same.” With a kiss on your forehead and the cute pout he loves still present.
He immediately gets interrogated and compliments which takes him a back getting him a bit shy. Would vibe with your cousins and would be forced to sing. The karaoke machine playing till midnight, the never ending food being offered in his plate but also your baby cousins getting attached to him which you greatly adore. He would purposely annoy you with flirty gestures in front of your cousins just for you to swat his arm or his biceps multiple times getting a reaction from your comments mixed of ‘yiee’ or ‘landi!’(flirt).
SOUVENIRS in Filipino is pasalubong, and it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re materialistic it’s more of the thought when a person is away; may it be for family & friends.
Jason bringing home food or snacks when he goes out or something unique when coming from a long mission for you has been natural. You don’t expect him to always bring something home for you of course. Fortunately, Jason loves spoiling you and seeing you sulk when you rummage his duffle bag filled with used clothes and is helmet is too cute. Plus, this is definitely one of the first words he would understand besides the word ‘makulit’ (a neutral connotation of annoying, cheeky, and naughty combined.) and other cuss words.
The first time Jason brings you to the Wayne manor Alfred and Bruce immediately doesn’t see you as a threat especially with a bottle of wine or fruits as formalities. You panic a bit when both of you weren’t able to bring anything to the manor every time you go after that, he has to reassure you it’s fine. Though he appreciates and finds it adorable on how much his family becomes fond of you because of how genuine you are.
When you and Jason travel, you would be having an extra luggage for goodies and shopping and would get endless teasing from Jason. You would tease him back though if he needs something but you would also use his luggage as well if needed for everything you bought.

Male Akito Sohma X Female Reader (a fruits basket one-shot)
Tumblr media
This is a story I wrote a long time ago, so it's not my current writing style, but I figured I'd post it here anyway because why not?
Story starts under the cut.
You knocked on the door to Akito’s room.
“Akito~San?” You asked sliding open the shōji door.
“Haven’t I told you to wait for my approval before opening my door?” they said bitterly. Akito didn't bother to look at you, he just kept lying down at his window.
“I apologize, I just-”
“What?” he snapped, whipping his head in your direction.
“It’s Valentine's day!”
“So what? You want me to allow you to leave me? You want to make sure that on this happy day, you stay as far away from me as possible, so that you may be with the ones you love most? So I can’t ruin this most joyous day?”
“What? No! That’s not it. Why would you think that? No, I have something for you,”
“Something… for me?”
You grinned at him. “Of course! I was only able to afford one thing… and it had to be homemade but… I hope you will enjoy it!”
You handed him a red square-like box with small pink hearts on it. Akito’s eyes widened.
‘Did Y/n really make chocolates… for… me?’ Akito thought to himself. He picked one up and examined it. It was shaped as 2 hearts, one overlapping the other.
“Sorry,” you scratched your neck nervously, “I guess I should have asked if you liked chocolates. Or, even ask Hiroti~San if you’re even allowed to have chocolates…”
Akito placed the chocolate back in its spot and looked up at you, eyes full of wonder.
“A..Akito?” you were getting a bit concerned. He reached out and grabbed your wrist to yank you down. “Yeek!”
“Sit.” He demanded. He stared at the chocolate box in anticipation. “You made the box… which one should I eat first?”
“Um, well, I personally like these ones,” you said, picking up the peanut butter caramel chocolate. Akito took It between his fingers. “The caramels really sticky so I'd brush hard afterward.”
Akito looked at the chocolate for a while longer, then brought it to his lips to take a bite. As his teeth sunk past the chocolate layer and into the peanut butter caramel, he closed his eyes and took in the flavour. As he chewed the delicious sweet, he hummed in delight. You stared at him, rubbing your hands (like the villains in cartoon movies) in anticipation. Finally, you asked him. “D-do you like it?”
He finished the rest of the candy and looked at you. He then did something you wouldn’t expect. He gave you a gentle smile, “I love it,”
You blushed. ‘Adorable…’
“Which should I taste next?”
“Mmmm, that one,” you pointed. He picked it up and bit off some of it. Then he turned to you. As he chewed his piece, he was staring at you with the other piece of chocolate held up. Then you got what he meant. “M-me?”
He nodded. You slightly reached for it but he pulled it back a little and shook his head. You were confused at first, but then he prodded it towards your mouth somewhat. You pointed to your mouth and raised your eyebrows- not completely knowing if you understood- but then he nodded; so you opened your mouth.
He gently placed the chocolate on your tongue. You closed your mouth and chewed. He smiled sweetly at you and you smiled back in return. When you finished you said:
“Happy Valentine’s day, Akito~san,”
     “Happy Valentine's day… F/n~san”

Tumblr media
You stare at your phone and puff out your cheeks, pursing your lips to try to hold in a frown.  Lately it seems like no one is all that interested in you, or if they are, it’s just to immediately dump on you about some kind of issue they are having.  You are always reaching out first, just to be ignored or used as a personal counselor for others.  Normally you don’t mind, but lately you have needed someone to talk to as well and you’ve come to realize how uninterested all of your friends are about listening.
You can’t help but sniffle as a drop creeps out when you blink and you huff, slapping at the errant tear. “Stupid emotions.” you mumble and you close your eyes, wetting your cheeks in the process.  Hearing a door close behind you, a voice calls out from the front entryway.  “Hey! Y/n?” San’s voice cuts through the silence and you tense up, rubbing at your eyes.
You look up and smile at your roommate and best friend as he makes his way into the living room area.  “Hey Sannie…” you say, trying to sound cheerful.  He gives you his cute dimpled smile as he heads into the kitchen to put away a few things.  “Hey-I am probably heading out tonight for-” he starts, coming back into the room to stop suddenly when he looks directly at you.
“Hm?” you ask, wondering why he cut himself off.  Immediately he’s beside you, pulling you into his arms and you’re startled by the sudden hug.  “Sannie…?” you whisper and he just starts petting your hair, drawing back after a moment to look at your face.  “Why were you crying, peanut?” he asks, his hand coming up to cup your cheek.
“Huh? What? I wasn’t, I was-” you start but you stop at his scowl.  “When did we start lying to each other?” he asks, and you frown, reaching up to touch your face.  That’s when you remember, you’d put on mascara earlier for your shift at work and you hadn’t washed your face yet.  “Shit…” you groan, your eyes welling up again as frustration takes over.
“Peanut…” he whispers, his thumb brushing away a new tear as you blink at your friend.  “Sannie…am I …. “ you trail off and he just watches you, waiting patiently as you snuffle a bit.  “Take your time.” he whispers, pulling you into his strong chest and holding you.  His arms cradle you and you can’t help but burst into a bout of sobbing.
“Shhh…go ahead, just let it out.” he soothes and you clutch his shirt, letting go of all of your stress as your roommate rocks you like a baby.  “Sannie…so …sorry…” you manage to get out between breaths.  You start hiccuping from the force of the crying and you feel a headache creeping its way into your eyes.
“Hey…none of that.  Hold on…” he says, extracting himself gently from you, then heads into the kitchen again.  You wipe your cheeks as he makes his way back to you.  “Here, drink this.” he says, opening a water bottle for you.  “Thank you.” you manage, drinking and patting your chest.  San reaches out and pets your hair, pushing some strands behind your ear.  “Breathe slowly, and get some water into you.  Here.” he hands you some ibuprofen he has as well and you take them, grateful.  “You know exactly what I need, Sannie.  Thank you so much.” you say, and he grins at you, tweaking your nose softly.
“Of course I do, I love you, Peanut. Do you want to talk about….whatever is bothering you?” he asks, hesitantly searching your eyes.  You take a big breath after downing the medication and taking another sip.  “Sannie…am I annoying?” you ask him and his brows draw together.  “Eh? Annoying? You?” he snorts, a frown darkening his bright features.  You just nod, and he realizes how serious you are.  “Who said that to you?” he asks, his eyes flashing and you put a hand up.
“Noone said it…I just feel like I don't matter, I guess.” you say, ducking your head, feeling embarrassed at having said it out loud.  It hits even harder and you feel your eyes sting once again.  You feel San’s fingers under your chin and he’s lifting your face to look at him.  “You’re very important, Y/n.  Wonderful, important, caring, loving, kind, beautiful, giving…should I go on?” he asks and you nod, making him laugh out loud.  “Oh, now we’re getting cocky huh?” he chuckles and you can’t help but blush.
“Seriously though…I don’t know why you feel like that, or who made you feel that way.  But I CAN tell you that I care about you, and I love you.  You’re just too giving sometimes and people take advantage of that.  If someone is making you feel like you’re not important, then don’t prioritize them for a little bit.  You’re the first person you need to care about.  Sometimes you think too much of others and that isn’t always a good thing when you override yourself.” he leans forward and places a kiss on your forehead, then cups your cheek.
“Peanut…it’s ok to care about others, but you need to care about yourself too.  The people who care about you will be there for you.  And those who need time for themselves will come back around when they are done doing so.  Those who get upset and won’t let you…well…they aren’t worth it.” he pokes the spot he kissed and gives you a glare.  “But if someone messes with you, it’ll be the last thing they do.” he growls and you can’t help but smile at his protectiveness.
“Sannie…thank you..” you say again and feel your eyes flood.  “Tch! My little Peanut is not gonna cry anymore.  What movie do you want to watch? Or do you want me to cook some food? What do you want to do?” he asks and you give him a weird look.  “What?” he asks and you shake your head.  “Sannie…you said you were going out.  Don’t let me stop you, please.  I already feel guilty keeping you here so long…” you say, and he scowls.
“Sorry, but I don’t know what you’re talking about.  I always planned on spending time with my bestie, and cuddling all night while we watch horror movies.” he says and you smack his arm, face alarmed.  “HORROR?? Sannie- you know I HATE horror!” you cry and he laughs, pulling you to him.
“Yes, I know, but I LOVE when I get to cuddle you and hold you all night cause you’re scared….” he smirks and you snort, shaking your head.  “Jerk.” you say and he nods, kissing your cheek.  “There’s my sassy little Peanut.  Rock paper scissors and winner decides movie?” he asks and you yell, making him jump up to run from you.
“You bastard, you know I never win!” you yell and he giggles as you chase him.  Suddenly, you didn’t feel so upset anymore.  Sannie was always there for you and you couldn’t help but smile as you realize you’d probably be sleeping in his room tonight because of stupid horror films.  “You just want me to sleep in your room again!” you scream and he sticks his tongue out at you.  “Damn right I do!” he teases and you just throw a pillow.  “Pervert!” you say, pointing and he waggles his eyebrows.
  “Damn right I am.”

Written by: @littleforeignaffairs
The work week went smoother than you expected. By Thursday afternoon you feel comfortable with having Wooyoung in the office. The tension seems to have lifted. Wooyoung spends less time focusing on you, and more time on the project he’s working on with San.
You walk into San’s office, carrying a late lunch for the three of you. The men are seated at the couch, papers scattered around. You tune out their voices, opening the meals before handing them off. San first. He offers you a thankful smile, returning his gaze back to papers. You then grab Wooyoung’s meal.
You sigh softly to yourself, noticing an error with his food. I’m pretty sure I said so cucumbers. Unconsciously, you begin removing the cucumbers before setting it in front of Wooyoung. He doesn’t look up from his work, but San had.
“How did you know that”
You freeze, mid squat. You furrow your brows in confusion, slowly seating yourself at the end of the couch.
“Know what?”
“Wooyoung hates cucumbers”
You look over to Woo, who’s full attention is on you now. You aimlessly stab the cucumbers you placed into your dish.
“He told me” You retort quickly, shoving some of the cucumbers into your mouth “He let me know after I ordered”
Wooyoung turns his attention to his food, avoiding your eyes and San’s. He plays with a piece of chicken before glancing up to San, who is staring him down. San leans forward, leaning his elbows on his knees. He drops his food on the table, causing it to spill out of the dish. You look between San and Wooyoung. The tension radiates off of San. You can see that he is skeptical, but you also wonder if you’re just being paranoid about the situation.
You take a piece of your sushi, placing it on the side of San’s plate. The three of you sit in silence still. The tension, beginning to feel just plain awkward. Wooyoung stands, excusing himself for a moment. You wish you thought of doing that first. You slide closer to San on the couch, placing a hand on his thigh.
“What's wrong? Why are you acting so strange?”
“Why are you?”
You pull your hand back, flinching at San’s words. They were sharp. You know now that you're not just being paranoid.
“Ever since Wooyoung started working with us, you-“ San pauses a minute before looking at you
“Both of you, actually, are acting really fucking weird”
You can’t help but feel like you’ve done something wrong. That San was scolding you. In a way, you did. Wooyoung did kiss you first, but you didn’t stop him right away. You look down at your hands in your lap, playing with your finger nails. The moment isn’t bad enough, Wooyoung’s timing is impeccable. He walks back into the office, sweets in hand.
You stand as he passes by, cleaning up the dishes and left overs from your partially eaten lunches. “I’ll get back to work” You murmur softly.
You rush to your desk before either man can say anything to you. You hang your head, leaning on your desk. A heavy puff of air leaves your lungs. That’s when you notice the brightly coloured package leaning against your monitor. The plastic crinkles as you pick it up. Chocolate covered peanuts.
You look up slowly, looking to Wooyoung. He’s focused on eating, but nodding along to whatever San is saying. He glances towards you, but you sit quickly, to avoid being seen by him. You stare at the candy in front of you. It's the same brand he would always buy for you whenever you were upset. You tear the package open slowly, pouring a few candies in your hand.
The candies roll in the palm of your hand. A sickly sweet smell travels up your nose when you bring a candy to your lips. You sigh, feeling guilty. You know San isn't stupid. You know he's fully aware that there is some sort of connection between you and Wooyoung. It's only a matter of time before he figures it out. Or Wooyoung tells him
* * *
The drive home feels uncomfortable, for you at least. San has been quiet since you got in. His eyes remain on the road, regardless of how many times you try to sneak a look at him. You purse your lips a little, giving in and staring out the window. The city feels so busy. Lights everywhere you look, and cars backed up from that after work traffic.
You sigh heavily, leaning your head on the window. The warmth of San's hand slips into yours. You look down at your hands together, then up to his face. A small smile pulls your lips, seeing him looking at you. Your chest tightens, though a feeling of relief swells.
“It’s been really stressful lately” San starts. His lips pout, turning his attention back to the road. You give his hand a gentle squeeze. “Having Woo around just brings me back to University too”
A sour taste coats your mouth. You swallow hard, your face becoming sullen. San opens his mouth to continue speaking, but instead, he chuckles a puff of air and shakes his head. You squeeze his hand again, slipping your fingers through his.
San silences again the rest of the drive to your home. You keep your hand in his, pulling it into your lap. Your free hand rests on top, running your thumb over his skin.
You both sit in the car in silence in front of your place. San pulls your hands in his lap now, fiddling with your fingers.
“San?” You murmur
“You know I see how he looks at you” Sans blurted words surprise you.
Despite knowing things have been a little awkward lately between you and each man, you didn’t expect him to come clean so easily.
You take one of your hands from his, placing it on his cheek. You scoot your body closer to him, turning his face to look at you. His eyes fill with sadness, concern. You scan over his face, your thumb gliding over the beauty marks on his cheek.
“But I don’t look at him. Definitely not how I look at you”
His cheeks flush pink as he forces a small laugh
“I know, I just… remember how he was”
If only you knew.
You touch your lips to San’s cheek, kissing his dimple softly. San rests his head on yours, his lips now pulled into a genuine smile.
“Come inside?”
With the new project with Wooyoung, San’s new position, your second job, everything has been hectic. Stressful, just like San said. Most nights you went to your own homes after work. San pulls back a little, looking at the clock on his dash.
“Right now?”
You roll your eyes, opening the car door
“No, Papi” Your voice dripping with sarcasm
You pause a moment, pressing your lips together. Your eyes cast down over San’s body. You smile slightly, stepping out of the car. You lean over, looking at him through the doorway.
“Cum inside” You say again, this time, quieter. Teasing. You smirk at him, running your tongue over your teeth before shutting the car door.
You turn, walking quickly to your front door. San is quick to follow. It didn’t take long before you heard the fumbling of his keys and car door behind you. You glance over your shoulder, seeing him hot on your trail. You squeal a laugh, unlocking your door as fast as you can.
San's body collides into yours, pushing you up against the wall inside your apartment. His hands grip your hips firmly, keeping you still. You watch his face slowly change from playful to lust. His hooded eyes take in your body. You place a hand on each pec before bringing them closer together to the center. You grab hold his tie, pulling his chest into you.
“Papi”
Your words are barely a whisper, lips close to San’s he can feel your breath. One hand slides down San’s body. Over his stomach. Over his belt, landing on his crotch. You run your hand over him, cocking a brow. You give him a gentle squeeze
“I’m waiting..”
San cups your face with both hands. You expect to be ravished, but his lips are tender. San is not eager, but he kisses you deeply. Your hands land at his waist, curling in the belt loops of his pants. San breathes in sharply through his nose, pulling you closer to him. His hands fall onto your behind, lifting you up onto his body. Your hands move up onto San’s neck, legs now wrapping around his waist, locking at your ankles.
The heat in your core grows, filling your body. San carries you to your bedroom, one of his hands slipping underneath the back of your blouse. His fingers squeeze at the hooks of your bra, unclasping it with ease. As he sets you down on the bed, you keep your legs tight around his waist, pulling him down on top of you. A gentle moan leaves his lips when his growing erection pushes into you.
Your stomach knots with his sounds. You push your hands between your bodies, pulling at San’s belt. He lifts up his hips, his own hands sliding your skirt up higher on your hips and your panties down. You slip San’s pants down just enough for his erection to pop out. San rests his forehead onto yours, licking his lips with anticipation. He props himself up with one arm, the other locking his elbow with your knee.
San touches the tip of his head against your opening. Your walls clench eagerly, waiting to be filled. A quiet whimper passes your lips
“San. Please” Your words are hushed. Breathless.
San slings your leg over his shoulder, pushing his cock inside you. You arch your back, body stretching out under San’s. Your walls tighten around his length, rendering an elongated groan deep within his chest.
“Fuck” San growls. He pulls his body up higher on the bed, lifting your hips up off the mattress. His hips roll slowly at first, making sure his thrusts are full strides.
It’s been a while since you and San have been able to have any form of sexual activity. His cock throbs with each thrust, filling you, stretching you. You wrap your leg over San’s waist, rocking your hips with his movements. The added leverage pushes San deeper inside you. You can already feel the wetness dripping down your skin.
You grab San’s face, kissing him hungrily. His lips work with yours matching your passion. San searches for your hands. He grips them tightly, fingers laced through yours. San pushes your hands down onto the bed, landing on either side of your head.
He breaks the kiss, making eye contact with you instead. His eyes are heavy, lips parted with loud breaths passing through them. Your eyes scan rapidly over San's face. He always looks attractive in your eyes, but there's something about how vulnerable he looks to you right now on top of you.
San's skin glistens with a light layer of sweat. His eyes are dark, yet soft and they only focus on you. You squeeze his hands, raising your head up to reach his lips. San, instead, nudges your head to the side, burying his face in your neck.
You moan softly as San sucks at your skin. The sensation sends a shiver through your body, making you clench around San. The additional tightness thickens San inside you. A sudden animalistic grunt comes from San. He quickens his thrusts, his movements becoming sloppy.
You sigh a high pitched moan, San hitting your soft spot. Your leg shakes on top of San's shoulder, the pleasure rising fast. You close your eyes, squeezing them shut. San lets go of one hand, slipping underneath your ass to lift you up.
"Please" You moan out, louder than you intended. Your leg around San tightens, pulling him harder into your hips. "I want to cum, Sannie. Please"
Your voice is begging. Your hand hits San's back, nails digging into his skin. You ache, contracting around San, grasping onto him in every possible way you can. San gives your ass a teasing slap, cursing at your desperation. Your toes curl at the slight sting on your skin.
"I'm cumming" San grunts.
It wasn't much of a warning for you. Before San could get his next thrust into you, his cock starts pulsating. His grunts are harsh, his hips hitting into you matching the intensity. You can't help but whimper, finally feeling his release, pushing you into yours.
San grabs your face with one hand under your chin. His parted lips touch yours, but he doesn't kiss you. You can feel his body shake on top of you. You slide your hand up his back into his hair. You push his head down, making him kiss you. San moans on your lips.
You grind your hips into his, riding out your orgasm. San squeezes your ass, helping you move against him. Both your movements slow, both bodies beginning to relax. San melts into you, letting his weight fall. He keeps his lips on yours, kissing you tenderly.
You jerk a little with a post orgasm pleasure. San chuckles quietly, taking his lips off yours. He pets your hair back, looking down at your face. He looks exhausted. His hair stuck to his forehead, face flushed with sweat. You laugh a little with him, realizing you probably look just as fucked as he does.
San carefully slides off you, resting at your side. He wraps his arms around you, pulling you into his body. Both your clothes bunched up between your sticky bodies, but you couldn't care less. Its a small price to pay.

Waku Waku!
SPY × FAMILY x Twisted Wonderland
Ft.Anya the Telapthic
Tumblr media
Our favorite mind reader from SPY × FAMILY has been transported into a modern day world with magic! How exciting can this be fore her?
SAVANACLAW
𝓛𝓮𝓸𝓷𝓪 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓵𝓪𝓻
Oh my god. It's a Cheka 2.0
BUT IT KNOWS WHAT I'M THINKING
Leona HATED Anya.
Periodt
Okay, maybe he has a soft spot.
BECAUSE SHE'S A GIRL
Leona always wondered how in the seven does Cheka 2.0 know how to answer his thoughts
He came to the conclusion that it was her unique magic
"LEOOOO!!!"
he literally upped and runs
Ends up getting caught
The usual and very very very ×6 reluctant baby sitter
But (later) finds that giving Anya peanuts has her settling down quicker
𝓡𝓾𝓰𝓰𝓲𝓮 𝓑𝓾𝓬𝓬𝓱𝓲
A child.
Blackmailing Leona.
Ruggie thought Anya was a god blessed child.
He always let's you in whenever you came looking for Leona. Or hands you off to Leona.
"OI! RUGGIE!!"
"Sorry your highness, busy getting you deluxe michi katsu sandwich!"
Ruggie gets more free time to himself now.
𝓙𝓪𝓬𝓴 𝓗𝓸𝔀𝓵
A CHILD!!
Jack adored Anya
Literally becomes a puppy for her
Always recieves attention, pats and scratches from Anya
Even becomes a sort of mount for her
Happens to unconsciously look for her
Tail wags when she comes into his peripheral vision
Is often the one to carry her around
OCTAVINELLE
𝓐𝔃𝓾𝓵 𝓐𝓼𝓱𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓽𝓸
Glasses shattered
Mind is bamboozled
Low-key dying
"SHE'S SO CUTE IT'S UNFAIR"
Anya is startled
Azul secretly makes merchandise with Anya being the main attraction
Is in the club of "Protect Anya club"
𝓙𝓪𝓭𝓮 𝓛𝓮𝓮𝓬𝓱
"Fufu.."
Anya is scared
Always runs at the sight of (jade) the twins
The thoughts he has scares her
𝓕𝓵𝓸𝔂𝓭𝓮 𝓛𝓮𝓮𝓬𝓱
Always cries at the sight of him
She forgets that Floyd will chase her
But because she is a child, he catches her
"Shriiiimpyyyyy"
"HEEK!!!!"
Floyd is always having fun chasing or hunting for Anya
One time even tried to get her to come over with peanuts
HEARTSLABYUL
𝓡𝓲𝓭𝓭𝓵𝓮 𝓡𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓼
"It's okaw nii-san"
"Hah?"
Riddle stares down at Anya
Anya stares up at Riddle
"NII-SAAAN!!!"
She's almost as bad as Floyd, but manages to always find him
But at least he won't be squeezed..
Without realizing, he became apart of the "Protect Anya" club
May or may not have bought a few figurines from Azul...
𝓣𝓻𝓮𝔂 𝓒𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻
Always Anya's go to when wanting snacks
Trey tries to rein in her peanut addiction
But ends up spoiling her
As such, Anya loves him a lot
Trey's her second favorite person
"Treyyyyyyyy!!!"
𝓒𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓓𝓲𝓪𝓶𝓸𝓷𝓭
Is the leader of the "Protect Anya" club
Always posting images about Anya

Doesn't know how to feel because of Lilia
Has to keep an eye on his father
Literally looks away for a second only to find his father gone
Can't take a lot of naps now
𝓢𝓮𝓫𝓮𝓴 𝓩𝓲𝓰𝓿𝓸𝓵𝓽
"LISTEN UP HUMAN! WAKA-SAMA HAS ENTRUSTED ME TO GUARD YOUR MEASLY WEAK FORM. BE GRATEFUL, WORM!!!"
Sebek is very reluctant to watch over her
But because it was ordered from his lord, he will devote himself
And then comes a similarity to Anya and his Waka-sama
they both disappear
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
He's growing insane
POMEFIORE
𝓥𝓲𝓵 𝓢𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓮𝓷𝓱𝓮𝓲𝓽
Ew
What is this?
Vil doesn't want to touch Anya
But he is often praised by Anya
So he just let's her be
Anya is often on her best behavior when around Vil
She thinks he's pretty.
Pretty rotten.
Has managed to learn to control her mouth.
But hasn't learned how to control her facial expression
"Heh."
"...what is with that smug face?"
𝓡𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝓗𝓾𝓷𝓽
"MAGNIFIQUE!!!!!"
"KYAAAAAAAA"
Rook scares Anya too much
Mostly his thoughts
Most likely the first to find out she's a telepathic
Mans got issues, what you expect?
Probably the biggest reason why Vil tends to keep Anya out of Pomefiore
𝓔𝓹𝓮𝓵 𝓕𝓮𝓵𝓶𝓲𝓮𝓻
Second trust worthy transporter
"Ringo!"
"IT'S EPEL!!"
"...Apple"
Despite Epel being driven INSANE by her nicknames
He finds her fairly endearing
"Where's your pa?"
"Chi chi busy. Anya is here for Apple's apple juice."
IGNIHYDE
𝓘𝓭𝓲𝓪 𝓢𝓱𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓭

The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning
Chapter 27: You'll Never Walk Alone
❧ Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Reader ❧ Era: Season 4 ❧ Pronouns: she/her ❧ Warnings: SMUT—missionary, scary situation, mild swearing, violence ❧ Word Count: 6.3k
❧ In This Chapter: On the road again, without a place to call home, you're struggling to survive with Daryl and Beth. Upon finding an abandoned funeral home, things begin to look up, and you find some much needed relief with Daryl before things go terribly wrong.
❧ A/N: You may or may not have noticed that I'm trying to include at least one sex scene in each "season," so I snuck in one just before the finale next chapter! I mean, is it the most opportune time to have sex? No. But... like, it's Daryl... so... can you blame her (aka you, I guess lmao)? Also it's my birthday today so I guess this is how I'm celebrating—posting smut about Daryl Dixon. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
It was your lowest point since the farm fell.
The group was separated. You weren't sure who had split off with who, or if anyone even made it out alive, but you were sure of one thing: you, Daryl, and Beth made it out alive. Together.
By your calculations, five days had passed since the Governor ran you out of the prison. As far as you could tell, no one won that day. As you were running away, you were sure you saw Michonne kill the Governor, and you knew for a fact that you’d all killed most of his militia. Still, they destroyed the prison, ripped down its fences, and tore down the walls. The place you’d once called home was now home to the dead, and every hope you had was dwindling faster than when you lost your other homes.
At this point, you didn’t believe in the concept of “home” as a physical place. Home existed within Daryl, and now Beth, too.
The three of you wandered for days, with Beth insisting upon trying to track the others who she believed had to have escaped from the prison. Neither you nor Daryl were so sure.
It was odd, being the less hopeful one for once, but it also lifted a bit off of your shoulders. Beth was the one carrying the two of you, until she got her foot caught in a bear trap—then Daryl was the one carrying her.
She straddled his back piggyback style, while you watched with the most amusement you had in recent memory. Still, you couldn’t bring yourself to smile too long.
Daryl panted with the weight of Beth on his back as the three of you approached an abandoned funeral home. To its credit, it didn’t look abandoned. The place was kept up so nicely it looked like it hadn’t been touched by the plague at all. Though Daryl did a thorough sweep of the place, he didn’t find anyone.
“It’s so clean,” Beth observed once inside.
“Yeah,” Daryl agreed, holding his crossbow up high. “Someone’s been tendin’ to it.”
“They might still be around,” you suggested, peeking into the kitchen. “Looks like there’s plenty of food.”
Once you wrapped up Beth’s ankle, you and Daryl raided the pantry where you found even more food.
“Peanut butter and jelly,” Daryl said, “diet soda, and pig’s feet. That’s a white trash brunch right there.”
You smiled. “That sounds heavenly.”
Well, everything sans the pig's feet.
“Hold up,” Daryl said. “There ain’t a speck of dust on this… somebody just put it here. This is someone’s stash.”
“Maybe they’re still alive,” you said.
“All right,” he said, “we’ll take some of it and we’ll leave the rest, all right?”
You looked up at him in slight awe and adoration. He was so different from the rather selfish guy you met back at the quarry. He cared about other people, more than himself even. “Sounds good, Robin Hood," you said with a slight smile.
He scoffed, then dipped two fingers into the jar of jelly and sucked it clean. “Mmm,” he grunted.
“Gross!” Beth cried in mock disgust from her seat at the table where she rested her ankle.
You giggled at Daryl’s less than graceful eating habits. “Hey,” he said to you as you walked to the table, “those pig’s feet are mine.”
You held up your hands in defense, and Beth shook her head giggling. “They’re all yours,” you said.
The sun began to set, and you and Daryl started stringing up cans around the building as an alarm system. You chuckled a little to yourself as you tied the string around a column.
“What’s so funny?” Daryl asked, looking between you and the knot he was working on.
You shrugged. “Just thinking about how we haven’t done this since when we were on the road, before we found the prison… I sort of miss those times.”
He looked at you bewildered. “You miss it?”
You looked back at him. “Well, not really. I don't miss going from place to place... not having a home, being cold, worrying about Lori's baby..." You trailed off as you began to think about Judith, wondering if anyone was able to save her. Beth had tried, but she couldn't find her anywhere. "I guess I just miss the people… Carol, Rick, Glenn, Maggie… everyone.”
Daryl huffed and finished tying his knot before walking over to you. “Hey,” he said, lifting your chin up with his calloused fingers. “Maybe we’ll find ‘em. They could be out there, like us. Survivin'. Ain't impossible."
You tilted your head. “Has Beth’s optimism been rubbing off on you?”
He looked at you lovingly, like everything pure in this world was living in every nook and cranny of your sweet face. “Gotta keep us alive somehow.”
You leaned over to wrap your arms around his neck and bring him in for a long, tender kiss. When your lips parted, you smiled at him with that same big bright smile that always brought him to his knees. “Did I ever tell you,” you asked, “that you’re the best chance I ever took?”
By nightfall, Daryl had boarded up every window and door (except for the front) on the first floor. After a “redneck feast,” you helped the injured Beth get into bed. Though there weren’t any beds in the house, there were plenty of comfortable coffins. It seemed ironic to you how much care went into making sure they were soft and warm for a stiff, cold corpse.
“She asleep?” Daryl asked you as you walked back into the dining room, dipping his fingers in the jelly and sucking on them again.
You shook your head in amusement as you picked up a spoon from the table and held it out to him. “Here,” you said. “Your fingers are gonna get all sticky if you keep doing that.”
He grunted and took the spoon, continuing to shovel the jelly into his mouth at a fast rate. You sat yourself down by him at the small table. The house was dark but the kitchen you sat in was illuminated by the small candles you found in the cupboards. It made sense they’d have a lot of candles, probably for vigils and things like that.
“She’s out like a light,” you said. “Pretty sure she was dozed off by the time she hit the pillow.” You thought for a moment, watching Daryl shove mounds of red jam into his mouth. “It was good we found this place. Maybe… maybe we could stay here a few days until she’s healed. If it’s safe, I mean.”
You didn’t want to get your hopes up that this place could be a long-term thing. Daryl had boarded it up well, and there weren’t any walkers around as far as you could tell, but you’d gotten your hopes up too much in the past. It was all a pipe dream, the idea that you could settle down somewhere for the rest of your days. It was a good dream, as Daryl once told you, but it was impossible. You were starting to see that more clearly. Still, you hoped the funeral home would hold for a few days at least.
Daryl paused and looked down. “Maybe we stay here even longer,” he said, looking back up at you. “Settle down again, least for a while. It's the safest place we've found so far.”
You smiled at him sweetly. It was rare he was so optimistic without any insistence from you. You were sure Beth had rubbed off on him. “Really?” you asked.
“Mhm,” he grunted in response.
You thought for a moment. “And the people who were here first, what do we do if they come back?”
“We’ll just make it work.” You looked at him dumbfounded. “I mean, they may be nuts, but… maybe it’ll be all right.” He shrugged.
You closed your eyes and smiled. “If you think it could work, then it will work.” You stood up to kiss his hair, then began cleaning up the table a bit. Just seeing Daryl eating in a kitchen was enough to spark your domestic side.
After a few minutes of putting what was left of your food back in the cabinet, you heard the sound of the chair skidding along the tile, and soon after felt Daryl’s strong hands gripping your waist. He pressed his warm body tightly against your back and left sweet, sloppy kisses all over the junction of your neck and your shoulder. The slight tickle of his short, uneven beard was enough to make you giggle. “Daryl,” you sighed heavenly, “what are you doing?”
His hands migrated up to your breasts and began massaging them slowly. His lips brushed up against your ear as he whispered to you. “When was the last time we were alone, huh?"
His gruff southern accent sent a tidal wave through you, resulting in a warm tingling emanating from your core.
You thought for a moment, about the last time you were alone with Daryl. It was at the prison, of course, when you were in your cell. Before that, the last time you had sex was... just before things went wrong, the night before the excursion to the store where Zack died. Everything after that was almost like a blur. The walker attack, the murder, the sickness, the Governor...
"It's been a while," you said simply.
Though you loved Beth, it was exhausting trying to keep her safe. She was eager to learn how to defend herself, and she was better than she used to be, but you had a kind of motherly instinct with her, and that was taking a toll on you.
You suspected Daryl was having a hard time, too, what with trying to keep the both of you safe. You could defend yourself better than Beth, on account of being older and a bit more hardened, but he worried about you both constantly. He would never admit the emotional exhaustion he felt, or the burden that you knew he carried—the irrational belief that the Governor attacking the prison was somehow his fault.
He brought it up in passing, but you didn't need anymore clarification that that was weighing heavily on his mind.
"Too long," he said before bringing his lips to your cheek, tonguing his way to the corner of your mouth where he silently asked for entry.
You turned your head towards him so he could plunge his tongue into your mouth that always fit to his so perfectly. He continued massaging your breasts before slipping his hands beneath your button-up shirt and bra to paw at your bare breasts.
“Daryl…” you moaned between his kisses.
You'd been wanting Daryl for days, but of course it was something you had to keep putting in the back of your mind, what with the rather dire situation you were in, and the fact that there was a teenage girl with you twenty-four seven.
He removed one hand from your breasts and trailed it down to your crotch where he grabbed you gently but with enough force to elicit a whimper from you into his mouth. “You been wanting me?”
You sighed and caressed his face. “You know I have.”
Daryl might've been completely stressed out the past five days or so, but he was still as observant as ever. He noticed your occasional long stares at his tanned, muscular arms (to which he purposefully flexed them as if he didn't know you were watching him). He caught you on more than one occasion eying his package when he had to adjust it, or his ass when he bent over to make a fire, or his neck when he'd throw his head back to pour water down his throat, with transparent liquid streams coursing down the tense, rigid muscles.
Yeah, you were horny. You always were when you were around Daryl for too long. He had that effect on you, so much so you wouldn't notice until he'd point it out.
He pressed himself up against you tighter so you could feel the raging erection bulging through his jeans. “Can you feel what ya do to me?” he asked, a sense of desperation to his usually firm and decisive voice.
You nodded slowly, feeling the weight of the cock you'd been incessantly craving every night as you laid alone by the fire, with Daryl refusing to join you so he could keep watch over you and Beth like a hawk. You didn't even want to have sex in those situations, obviously. You just wanted to feel his body next to yours, warm and strong and familiar and sweet, every part of his gorgeous physique.
No matter how much he wanted to hold you like he used to at the prison, he had to be as alert as possible. It was his way of protecting you.
“You’re so hard, baby.” He rubbed himself roughly against your ass. You turned yourself around in his arms to feel his cock on your front where you wanted it so badly. You reached down and stroked his clothed cock, to which he let out a strained grunt. Your eyes widened when a thought occurred to you. “Do you—do you think we can do it without Beth noticing?”
If Beth heard you two having sex, or worse—walked in on the event, you would be mortified, and ashamed, and you knew Daryl would be, too. Beth was only seventeen, and although she certainly knew about sex, she didn't need to see that. It's an adults-only thing, you'd tell her whenever she'd ask about it.
Daryl scoffed before kissing you again and pinning you between himself and the edge of the countertop behind you. “She’s sleepin’,” he said. “You ain’t gonna be that loud, are ya?”
You giggled as you combed your fingers through his dark hair. It was getting so long you couldn’t help but play with it every chance you got. “I don’t know, you always make me scream.”
He growled as he lifted you up onto the counter and planted himself between your legs. “I’ll just cover your mouth if I gotta.”
You felt yourself getting wetter with each kiss as he started pulling your pants down. You heard the bundled up fabric land on the tile below you before he began rubbing you up and down over your soaked panties. “You’re so wet, baby girl. Is that for me?”
You smiled as he licked up your neck hungrily, and you rubbed his back in appreciation. “Yes, Daryl,” you moaned. “You’re the only one who does that to me.”
He lowered both hands down to your panties to pull them off you slowly. He stepped back from you and began unbuckling his belt, all the while licking his lips as he gazed down at your slick pussy.
You looked at him in a haze, but another thought echoed through your mind. “Daryl?” you asked quietly.
“Yeah, angel?” His cock was free now and he returned to his place between your legs.
You ran your hands up and down his toned arms, exposed from the cutoff shirt he was wearing. “Are you going to pull out?”
The few condoms you had left since Daryl’s last find were back in your cell at the prison, and you knew he was scared he wouldn’t be able to pull out in time. Still, at this point, both of you would do anything to feel each other in the very intimate way that lovers expressed their adoration for one another.
He looked at you sweetly. “Gotta,” he said. “Don't really got any other options right now... you okay with that?”
You nodded your head and smiled widely. “Come here, stud.” He chuckled at your enthusiasm as you wrapped your legs around him, allowing his incredibly hard cock to rub against your bare pussy.
Groaning in appreciation, he brought his hand down to your clit and began rubbing it with his calloused fingers, still a little sticky from the jelly he was shoveling into his mouth. You held onto his broad shoulders tightly as he began to slowly insert himself into you. You were so wet with arousal that he slipped in easily, though with an incredibly satisfying friction. It was everything you'd been wanting, to feel that relief from the only person who could give that to you, the way he did it, the way he felt.
You threw your head back as if by instinct and moaned out to him. “Oh, Daryl,” you cried. He began pumping in and out of you with his fingers still rubbing up and down furiously against your throbbing clit. You thrusted your core back and forth against him to increase the amazing feeling.
He grunted into the crook of your shoulder, breathing heavily and already beginning to sweat from the movement. “God, (Y/N),” he panted.
He thrusted harder into you, sending shockwaves through your body. “Ah!” you cried. Daryl lifted his head from your shoulder and looked you in the eyes with a longing lust you hadn't seen in a while.
“Keep it down, sweetheart,” he said between thrusts. He hated telling you to be quiet. He loved your sounds of pleasure so much, it was enough to make him finish on their own, but you had to be practical. It wasn’t as safe anymore to be loud.
“S-sorry,” you stuttered. “Keep going, please.”
Daryl kissed you as he began pumping into you again, his hips hitting into yours at the perfect rhythm. Combined with the pressure of Daryl’s deep penetration, the consistent rubbing on your clit was beginning to send familiar vibrations through you.
“Oh,” you moaned. “Daryl…”
“You gonna come, princess?” he asked, increasing the pressure of his fingers circling your clit. You clung to him so tightly as he caused you to bounce up and down with his increasingly forceful hits into you.
“Y-yes… oh, God.”
Daryl reached the hand that wasn’t massaging your clit up to your agape mouth. “Don’ want ya wakin’ the neighbors,” he teased.
You closed your eyes with his hand covering your mouth as you began inching closer and closer to your orgasm. The shocks were becoming more and more intense and coursing through you in longer, more blissful bursts until you hit the peak of your pleasure.
You let out muffled groans into Daryl’s hand as he slowed down a bit to focus on drawing out your orgasm with his hand on your clit. You uncontrollably rolled your hips up into him as you slowly rode out your high.
Your walls fluttered around Daryl’s cock, causing him to be drawn closer to his own orgasm. The soft, warm enclosure of your convulsing pussy was enough to make him come right there, but he wanted to see how long he could hold out in his cock’s favorite place.
He uncovered your mouth when you stopped moaning, leaving you a panting, whimpering mess with your back bent forwards and your head resting lazily on Daryl’s shoulder, your arms tossed loosely around his neck as you caught your breath.
Pulling out of you briefly, Daryl reached his fingers down to scoop up the clear liquid that was slowly leaking out of you. He looked down at his soaked fingers and smiled. “That’s my girl,” he said before leaving sweet kisses on your neck. He began rubbing your juices all over your still sensitive clit, eliciting a series of small groans from you.
You removed your head from its cradle and looked Daryl in the eye. “Get back inside me,” you whispered demandingly.
He smirked before planting an open-mouthed kiss on your lips, devouring every bit of your sweet mouth that he could. “Yes, ma’am.”
He brought the tip of his cock up to the entrance of your soaking pussy, pushing himself in until he reached the hilt. You gasped at the amazing feeling of him filling you so fully, the way only he could.
He began thrusting into you faster than he did before, this time trying to get to his own high. He hit into you so hard you hit your head on the overhead cabinet behind you a few times, but you could hardly feel it when there was so much bliss emanating from your core.
“Oh, baby,” you sighed, moving your hands down to his ass to help shove him further up into you. “I love your cock, Daryl.”
He looked down between your bodies to watch his cock slide in and out of you effortlessly. “I love your pussy, princess.”
You purposefully clenched yourself around his length, causing the first drops of his arousal to expel from his tip. “Oh, oh (Y/N),” he panted. “I’m gonna come.”
You looked at him seriously, trying to let go of him a bit so he could take himself out. “Pull out, sweetie,” you reminded him, combing through his hair lovingly.
He nodded, pulling himself out just in time to start feeling the shocks of his orgasm running through his shaft. You reached down and grabbed his aching cock. You stroked him up and down slowly, almost teasingly. He wrapped his arms around you and let you do with him what you wanted.
Back at the prison, the first place you and him were allowed to be a real couple and to further explore each of your desires, he'd be able to rid himself of the day's frustration of being a reluctant leader by coming to you at night and enjoying every ounce of your sweet, warm love you'd give to him. It made him feel so wanted and adored, and in turn it made him feel a kind of relief to give his love to you.
He missed that, among so much more that he found at the prison—a sense of home, a community of people who respected him, a position of authority and control that did appeal to him, no matter how much he didn't want to admit it. Most of all, though, he missed the warm, adoring world of love and affection he'd created with you. It was like he could have a piece of that here, in this little funeral home, making love to you.
Rubbing your thumb over his tip, he started thrusting into your hand as the white liquid began spraying out in rapid bursts onto your thigh. He buried his head into your shoulder. “Ah!” he cried.
You kept pumping him until there was nothing left coming out of him. His cock kept twitching as if begging to release more, but he was dry now. You let go of his shaft and wrapped your arms around his broad back to trace the pattern of the angel wings on his vest. “Good boy,” you teased, rubbing his back up and down.
He scoffed as he still had his face buried in your shoulder. “Shut up.”
You giggled. “You felt so good, honey.”
He lifted his head and looked into your eyes. “So did you.” He caressed your face, then brought it closer to his to share in a slow, passionate kiss. “Your head okay?”
You smiled. He must’ve noticed your head hitting into the cupboards. “It’s fine,” you said. He brought his hand up to rub the back of your head, his fingers entangling in your hair every once in a while.
The two of you remained in a tight embrace for a while until Daryl bent over to pick up your panties and put them back on you. You beamed down at him as he kissed your legs with every inch the fabric caressed you until they were back around your waist. “What a gentleman,” you cooed. “I like this side of you.”
He rolled his eyes while rubbing your clothed pussy. “Watch it, girl.”
You giggled as he scooped his hands underneath your ass and lifted you off the counter. You reached down to his still naked ass and kneaded his cheeks roughly. He smirked at you. “What’s with you and my ass?” he asked amused.
You shrugged. “Nicest butt I’ve ever seen,” you said, squeezing the soft skin. You felt him playfully flex his ass, eliciting a chuckle from you. “You could bounce a nickel off this thing.”
He shook his head. “My crazy woman.”
Somehow, you ended up falling asleep on Daryl’s lap as he sat in one of the dining room chairs. With your arms wrapped around his waist, and your head resting on his shoulder, he let you sleep there for a good half an hour before he heard the rattling of the cans on the string the two of you set up.
This woke you up, too. You exchanged a worried look with Daryl just before he lifted you up off of him and reached for his crossbow. “Stay with Beth,” he said.
Making your way into the parlor where Beth was sleeping, you woke her up gently. “Wh-what?” she asked sleepily.
You started helping her out of the coffin she was asleep in. “Walkers.”
Dozens of them, too. When Daryl opened the door to investigate, the entire porch was flooded with them. He tried using his body to slam the door shut again, but there were too many walkers pushing against the door for his body weight to do anything.
“(Y/N)! Beth!” you heard him shout.
You took a hold of Beth’s hand and ran back out to the foyer where Daryl was struggling to keep the walkers at bay. “Run!” he yelled.
You froze for a moment, your eyes wide enough to give meaning to the phrase “deer in the headlights.”
“Run!” he yelled again, more insistently this time.
Pulling away from the door, Daryl lifted his crossbow and began shooting as much as he could until he had to run, pushing you and Beth back into the kitchen and through several other rooms to escape the oncoming herd that followed. “(Y/N)!” he called to you. “Pry open a window! Get your shit!”
Your hands were interlocked with Beth as you ran through the huge, dark house. “We’re not leaving you!” you cried back.
“Go out, go up the road!” he yelled. “I’ll meet you there.” You stopped in your tracks in front of the nearest window, then looked back at Daryl as he led the walkers away from the two of you. “Go!”
You froze, watching his face and body disappear into the dark basement stairwell. “Daryl!” you screamed helplessly.
Beth began tugging at your hand. “Come on, (Y/N)!”
You turned to her, shaking your head as you came back to reality. You looked around frantically to find something to break through the wood slats Daryl had installed earlier. Squinting your eyes to see a small old-fashioned television set, you picked it up swiftly and threw it with all your might out the window, breaking the glass and the wood to free up an exit.
“Go,” you said sternly to Beth.
She looked at you incredulously. “What about you?!” she cried.
You reached for your axe as you looked over at the herd following Daryl down the stairs. Daryl and I will meet you on the road, I can’t leave him. You go, you run and don’t stop till you get there, you understand me?”
She nodded to you, her eyes full of fear but also of understanding. “We’ll be right there,” you reassured her. “Now go!”
Once you were sure Beth had escaped, you began your attempt to keep some of the walkers off Daryl. “Hey!” you yelled to them. “Hey, over here!” You backed up in preparation for the walkers who now turned their attention towards you.
Plunging your axe into several heads, you thinned out the crowd by at least half. Descending into the basement, you stumbled upon a huddle of walkers cornering Daryl. Much to your relief, he was fighting back, stabbing several walkers and crawling underneath them to get behind them and trap them in with a metal operating table.
You ran to his side and took his hand. You could tell he was frowning at you, probably angry you didn’t do as he said, but there wasn’t any time to argue. The two of you ran back up the stairs, getting rid of a few more stragglers as you went.
“Where’s Beth?!” he yelled to you as you both ran out of the house and towards the road, a few more walkers following you.
“She got out, went to the road like you said.”
Approaching the road, you began to falter as you set your eyes on Beth’s backpack lying open on the asphalt. When you got close enough, you heard the screeching of tires and saw taillights out of the corner of your eye.
Looking up, a car with a white cross painted on its back window was driving away from you. “Beth!” you and Daryl yelled to the car, running as fast you both could to try to catch up with it, though you knew it was futile.
“Beth!”
When morning came, the two of you were still running, with Daryl having to put his hand on your back every once in a while to keep you stable. At some point, you weren’t sure how long after you started running, neither of you could run anymore. You walked, out of breath and out of hope. There was no way you could catch up with that car. Wherever it had gone, it would have definitely turned at some point, and there was no way of knowing what direction went in.
As if in silent agreement, you both stopped in front of the train tracks, covered in sweat and panting like dogs. Daryl looked around frantically before dropping his crossbow in defeat, then dropping himself to the ground. You followed suit, except you laid yourself down while Daryl sat.
Looking up at the overcast autumn sky, you silently cried as you remembered Beth’s fearful face when you told her to leave. The thought of someone taking her, doing God knows what with her, it devastated you. The worst part was that there was nothing you could think to do.
A while passed, you couldn’t tell how long, until you sat yourself up and planted yourself next to Daryl. There were no words shared between you, just a feeling of loss, of failure. You failed Beth. You couldn’t think of any other way to describe what had happened. You failed her.
Sitting in silence for what felt like ages, Daryl suddenly grabbed your thigh when he heard what he knew to be several footsteps approaching. Neither of you looked up, but you knew a group of people was coming towards you.
“Well, look at here,” a calm male voice said from above you. Daryl only glanced up at him briefly, but you looked up wide-eyed, staring him in the face in the hopes that he’d take pity on you and leave the two of you alone.
Though you knew it wasn’t safe to be in such a small group of two, it was better it was just the two of you than a hostile group of men. True, you didn’t know what their intentions were, but you had learned from your time in this world that people were either evil or ambivalent, there wasn’t really an in-between.
Your gaze turned around to the several other men who now circled the two of you. There were six in total, and they all looked to be middle-aged or getting there. Most of them were burly and bearded, with large guns and one with a standard bow and arrow.
It occurred to you that they looked kind of like a biker gang, sans bikes. In another life, Daryl might’ve been in their gang. He looked like he could fit in with them. You, on the other hand, stuck out like a sore thumb. Not only were you the only woman surrounded by six macho-looking men, you looked meek and unaccustomed to this world. Though you had proven yourself to be a capable fighter and survivor, you always did look like a librarian.
The man who spoke looked to be the oldest, and seemed to be the leader as well. He had gray hair and wore cowboy boots and a denim vest. When he stepped forward towards you and Daryl, you flinched as Daryl suddenly lunged upwards and socked the man in the face before grabbing your hand to lift you, then reaching for his crossbow and pointing it at the man as he lay on the ground.
You reached your hand down to your axe, but you looked around warily to notice the five guns on both you and Daryl.
“Damn it, hold up!” the gray-haired man on the ground yelled to the others.
“I’m claimin’ the vest,” one of the men’s voices from behind you rang out. “I like them wings.”
You turned your head to glare at him from the side. It was the man with the bow. He gave you a shit-eating grin. You weren’t sure about the others yet, but you knew you didn’t like him.
“Hold up,” the leader repeated, still on the ground and wiping the blood away from his nose. He smiled as he looked at the blood on his hand, then began laughing wildly. Daryl kept his bow trained on him, not letting up for one second.
“A bowman,” he said, raising himself back to his feet. “And a little lady.” He tilted his head to look at the axe looped onto your belt. “With an axe.” He smiled at you. “I respect that,” he said. “See, a man with a rifle, he could have been some kind of photographer or soccer coach back in the day. But a bowman’s a bowman, through and through… and an axewoman…” He studied your face closely. “Well, I’ve never met an axewoman before.” His eyes lowered to your axe, which you still had your grasp on in case you needed to use it. “What kind of axe is that, anyway?”
You stared at him with narrowed eyes, not making a sound.
He huffed and moved his eyes back to Daryl. “What do you got there, 150-pound draw weight? I’ll be donkey-licked if that don’t fire at least 300 feet per second.” Daryl stayed silent, the arrow cradled in his bow just a matter of inches away from the man’s face. “I’ve been looking for a weapon like that. ‘Course I’d want one with a bit more ammo and, uh, minus the oblongata stains.”
The obnoxious bowman behind you laughed. “Get yourself in some trouble, partner?” he asked Daryl teasingly.
“You pull that trigger,” the leader said seriously, “these boys are gonna drop you and your woman several times over. That what you want?”
Daryl kept his crossbow up, not faltering one second. “Name’s Joe,” the leader said.
You kept an eye on Daryl for his next move. For all your ingenuity, he was the better strategist. If he had a plan to get out of this, you could pick it up fast enough to go along with it. You just hoped it didn’t involve getting “dropped several times over.”
When he finally lowered his crossbow, you had to stop yourself from audibly sighing in relief. “Daryl,” he said in that same old gruff voice you knew so well, but with that hint of distrust in his tone. From all the time you spent with him, you not only could read his expressions better, but his various tones of voice became like genres of music you could distinguish by listening to just one note.
Joe nodded, then looked over to you. You exchanged a glance with Daryl before he nodded to you, giving you silent permission to introduce yourself. It wasn’t that you needed his permission, but that you wanted to make sure this was part of his plan, whatever it was. “(Y/N),” you said quietly, barely above a mumble.
When the men lowered their weapons, you audibly sighed in relief this time.
You had no idea where the men were going, if they were even going anywhere, but you didn’t have enough curiosity to ask. As you and Daryl followed along with their group, the two of you lingered shoulder to shoulder towards the back to whisper to each other.
“What are we doing, Daryl?”
He leaned closer to you and whispered back. “Checkin’ them out,” he said, “Seein’ where they’re goin’. Might lead us somewhere we wanna be.”
You shook your head. “We should be looking for Rick and the others. There’s got to be a place we could meet up at, some kind of landmark.”
“Nah,” he said. “This is right. Trust me. We’ll find them.”
You looked at him confused, then full of fear. “I trust you, I don’t trust them.”
“Won’t let ‘em hurt ya, just stay by me. Always.”
You smiled at him, then looked back down at your feet as you trudged onward, only a few yards behind the rest of the group.
“We should catch up, so they don’t get suspicious,” you said.
He nodded, then laced his hand around yours tightly. “We’ll be fine,” he said. “Long as you’re with me.”
Daryl knew he could never promise you complete safety, so he always felt a little disingenuous when he said things like that. What had happened with Beth at the funeral home, that terrified him because it could have been you, too, who was taken if you’d gone with her. In that moment, he was thankful for your stubbornness.
“I know,” you said. “We’ll be fine.”

The first time San laid his eyes on you, he was hunched precariously on a wooden bench, fist clenched around half a dozen peanut shells, fixated on the way you were practically gliding through the air. The dark purple sequined leotard you wore made you look like a blur of glittery mauve, streaking through the spacious tent with seemingly effortless grace. You gripped on another bar, flipping upwards onto the thin beam hanging by two ropes, curling a leg around the knots before you raised a hand, bowing down to the audience with a brilliant grin. The crowd seated around him burst out in raucous applause, and San, still slack-jawed, accidentally dropped all the crushed peanut shells onto the ground in his haste to join the ovation himself.
You disappeared in flashes of wine-hued lights and a flurry of green confetti. The ringmaster had come out not too long after, a tophat perched precariously on his head and the tail of his maroon suit so long that it brushed the ground of the circus. San recognized this man to be Hongjoong, the esteemed organizer of the infamous traveling circus.
The show ended before his heart could recover from the damage that you had inflicted, still fluttering incredibly fast within his ribcage, like a panicked bird trapped in its cage. His palms were sweaty when he timidly approached the ringmaster once the crowd had thinned away, wringing his hands furiously.
“Hello,” he greeted Hongjoong, cursing the quiver in his tone. “I’m a huge, huge fan of your traveling circus, sir.”
“Oh?” The man arched a fine brow. “You want an autograph?”
It was concerning how long it took San to articulate a reply, only for him to choke out a meek, “No.”
“No?”
“I mean—!” San held his hands out, wincing at his own stumble. “I would love an autograph, sir, but that’s not what I wanted to ask you. I, uhm, I’m a trapeze artist myself, you see. Been practicing my whole life. I was wondering… if you’re looking for any new recruits.”
The ringmaster was silent for several moments, leaving San to shift his weight from foot to foot uncomfortably. Drawing in a breath, Hongjoong dipped his head. “You know, you’ve got real impeccable timing, kid. I’ve been meaning to hold auditions for a while. C’mon, I’ll introduce you to the rest of the crew. Then you can show me what you can pull out of your sleeve.” He tugged at the cuffs of San’s loose tunic with a wink. “Besides, Y/N has been complaining about their solo act for a while. They’ve been beggin’ to have a partner. Think you’d be up for it?”
Hongjoong gestured loosely to the right, and San spotted you speaking animatedly with the flaming-sword swallower, eyes alight with mirth.
Gods, San hadn’t even spoken to you yet and he was already in far too deep.
“Yeah,” he said, a little breathless, “yeah, that’d be amazing.”
With a flourish, Hongjoong called you over, and the way your head shot up with a small smile gracing your glossed lips made San melt just a tiny bit.
“Y/N, meet… What's your name again?”
“San,” he coughed out, flushing a ripe shade of crimson under your curious gaze. Up this close, he could see the gentle scintillation of purple glitter over your eyelids, matching the flattering hue of your trapeze costume.
The corner of Hongjoong’s lip curled upwards. “Right. Y/N, meet San. San, I’m sure you already know who this is.”
“Nice to meet you,” you said brightly, sticking your hand out. San didn’t take it, only staring at you with wide eyes. “Um…”
“Oh! Sorry.” He fumbled for your hand. If you had noticed how drenched his palms were, you gave no sign of knowing, to which San was eternally grateful.
“San here says he’s a trapeze artist himself,” declared Hongjoong, hooking his thumbs against the lapels of his tailcoat.
Tilting your head with a newfound interest, you mumbled out, “Oh? Well, I’d love to see what you can do, San. I’ve been dying to have a partner.”
Tumblr media
San quickly found purple to be his favorite color. It was yours as well, and San loved just about everything about you. From the way you mumbled out a short countdown under your breath every time you took a leap from the swinging platform, to the way you would grin from ear to ear whenever he brought you those granola bars you enjoyed so much, and especially when you would snort at his lame jokes and lightheartedly call him an idiot. You were every possible shade of purple at once, and San was beginning to understand why it was such an expensive color.
It’s been almost a year since San met you, and it was safe to say that he was utterly infatuated. Tonight was one of the biggest shows yet, and he had already donned his violet garb, stretching his limbs and rolling his shoulders with a profound confidence that he lacked all those months ago.
“Howdy, pardner,” you announced from just behind him in a faux-southern accent, tipping a non-existent hat his way. “Ready for the show?” You maneuvered your way towards him, bumping his hip with yours with a beam.
San nodded. “Ready as I’ll ever be. I mean, we only practiced like, what, twelve hours a day? It’s all muscle memory at this point.”
The look you shot him was enough for San to stop stretching, pivoting on his heel so that he’d completely face you, holding his hands out expectantly. Sheepish, you slipped your fingers through his, admiring the glittery sheen of purple eyeshadow over his eyelids, mirroring the same makeup look that you always donned for your show.
“Something’s on your mind,” he said, more of a statement than a question. “I can tell. Are you okay? Is something wrong? Do I have to tell Hongjoong you’re not feeling well?”
A light peal of laughter slipped from your lips, which made San’s tense shoulders loosen only a smidgen. “No! No, I’m fine. Well, I think so. I just…” You tilted your head slightly, a habit that San found awfully endearing, and puckered your lips to the side, observing him with an unreadable expression. “Nothing. It’s nothing. I’ll be fine!”
“Come on,” said San after a moment’s hesitation, gripping your hands tighter to lead you out of the dressing room. “We’re starting soon. You’ll tell me if something’s wrong, right?”
The soft smile you shot him seemed a little strained to San, but he reluctantly shrugged it off as pre-show nerves. It’d be alright, he internally consoled himself. Besides, you’d done this routine a million times before. What could go wrong?
Tumblr media
Purple meant a lot of things to San. It meant the sweet chime of your laughter, the soft brush of your touch, and the breath-stealing glamor of your performances. It meant spending nights outside the circus tent with you, watching the setting sun spill reds over the blue sky, bleeding into lilac. It usually meant love for San—because purple was always associated with you.
Never had he been afraid to see purple.
The blood across the sand of the circus floor appeared so dark that his eyes saw purple for a brief moment. The ripped fabric of your performer clothes, tatters of purple everywhere at once…
The worst part was not being able to see you for hours after the incident, waiting outside the hospital operating room, unable to stay still. The rest of the circus crew was there as well; some of them had makeup running down their faces as they cried tears of fear. Some tried consoling others with quiet voices, and some paced the small space in agitation, San being one of the latter. Hongjoong had eyed him with growing concern, but quickly backed down when San shrugged the ringmaster’s hand off his shoulder with a low snarl.
He should’ve known something was wrong. He should’ve stopped you. What had even happened? It all went by so quickly One second, you were doing just fine, balancing your weight across one of the beams with a smile, eyes flickering to meet his for just a moment, and the next, you were falling to the ground with nary a sound, and he was left yelling your name, swinging down as quickly as he could in an effort to reach you. San could still hear the sickening crack of your body hitting the ground, immediately followed by the shocked, panicked screams of the watching crowd. Hongjoong had gotten to you first, but not before dark mauve started staining the sands.
It was hours until he saw you again—the sun had both set and risen during his wait and some of his other coworkers had bid him adieu with worried glances, but he never left the waiting room. The doctors were reluctant on letting him in at first, but Hongjoong had convinced them to allow him into your room, even going as far as to removing his top hat (that he never, ever took off in public), with a solemn set of his jaw.
For the first time, San hated seeing you in purple. All over your skin littered dozens of bruises of various sizes, ranging in different shades of violet. San fought away the tears, kneeling beside your bed with a clogged throat. He had little to say, so he could only whisper your name, as if that alone would make your pain subside. Of course, nothing happened, and you remained still as a statue.
It was a day later that you had stirred awake, groans rumbling from your chest. You glanced around, momentarily bewildered, before your eyes landed on San hunched over the couch in the corner, chest rising and falling slow and steady. It hurt to smile, but you did so nonetheless.
Not even a minute later, San had risen awake, blearily lifting his head from where his nose had been haphazardly tucked into the crevice of his arm. At first, he had thought he was dreaming, seeing you grinning up at him with bloodied lips and the whole right side of your face unevenly discolored. It was certainly a shocking sight to see through the haze of post-slumber. Blinking twice, San had to croak out your name uncertainly to make sure this was real.
When you tilted your head like you always did when you spoke to him, you hoarsely gritted out, “Howdy, pardner,” in that same faux-Southern accent before promptly dissolving into a coughing fit.
San jerked out of his seat to fumble for a water bottle that had been placed by your table, and gingerly helped you take a few gulps of water.
“Shit,” he sighed out, screwing back the cap on the bottle before kneeling back down beside you, hesitantly reaching out to brush his fingers over your cheek, taking extra care to avoid the tender purple spots. “What happened, Y/N? I thought… I saw all that blood, and I thought…” San couldn’t bear to finish his thought, hanging his head in shame. “What did I do wrong?”
“Nothing,” you said firmly, furrowing your brows with a pained expression. “It was all on me. I’m sorry, San. I got distracted.”
Leaning forward, San grasped the rails of the hospital bed so tightly that his knuckles turned white. “By what? You’ve done this a thousand times before what… What was different? I can’t have this happen to you again, Y/N. You can’t just do that to me.”
Guilt flooded your features at the raw desperation in his tone. “I think,” you started, shifting with a low moan of pain so that you weren’t facing him, “I think I’m in love with you. I realized just a while before the show. It threw me off my game. And I got… I got nervous! I don’t get nervous during my shows, you gotta understand. Then I took one look at you and everything just disappeared. All I saw was you. Next thing I know, I’m in a hospital and you’re snorin’ away in the corner.” You smiled loosely, glancing at San to see if he was smiling, too.
He wasn’t.
“I’m sorry,” you said, and San could tell that you were staving away tears. “I’m sorry, that was really unprofessional of me. We can just pretend this never happened. Go back to how things were before this mess. I’m sorry.”
It took several moments for San to respond. Not because he was affronted or disgusted or appalled in any way, but because he hadn’t ever expected to hear what he’s been dreaming to hear for the past year finally fall past your lips.
“You know,” he began, which made you curiously glimpse towards him, “I’ve been in love with you all this time and not once have I fell off the rope. You gotta come up with a better excuse than that.”
A shocked silence rippled between you. The incredulous expression you donned, personified with wide, glassy eyes, folded wholly over your features, as if waiting for him to bark out a laugh and say, “Just kidding!”
But San was serious, and you quickly came to the realization that this was no joke. Ironically, much to San’s dismay, you could only shake your head, smiling like a damned crazy fool.
“God,” you chuckled breathily, wincing at how your face pinched painfully with each small movement, “it hurts to smile but I can’t stop. Shit!”
“You’re gonna be the death of me, you know,” he muttered, huffing out half a sigh and half a chuckle. “Never do that to me again. Ever.”
“Never again,” you vowed, the smile slipping off your lips momentarily. “Because I’ve already fallen for you twice, I’m not adding another tally to the chart.”
Wrinkling his nose at your comment, San muttered out, “I was so scared. Everybody was. Hongjoong even took his hat off. That’s when you know it’s a big deal.”
You drew in a sharp, mocking gasp. “He took his hat off? Now that’s just overreacting.”
“I can’t believe you’re joking around right now.”
“Hey.” You fixed him with a pointed stare. “I’m okay. We’re okay. At least… I hope we are? You’re not actually mad at me, right?”
San avoided answering your genuine query, much to your growing concern, but he leaned forward to gently brush his lips against your forehead. Your stomach erupted with butterflies, but you determinedly kept a straight face. “Get some rest. I’ll go tell the nurses that you’re awake. Love you.”
“... Love you, too. We have a lot to talk about, huh?”
“Yeah. But we’ll do that later. You make sure you’re all healed up first. You’ll be swinging again in no time.”
The grateful beam that painted itself violet over your visage almost made San dizzy with delight.
Purple, San concluded, was both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. And that was love, he supposed. Love was purple, and purple was your color.
