Best Friends Share Everything || Carlando
Pairing: boyfriend!Lando Norris x fem!reader x Carlos Sainz Jr Summary: Blame the jet lag or blame the small couch but proximity makes for strange happenings on a late night with your boyfriend and his best friend. Warnings: 18+ only, nsfw, no actual smut - just build up WC: 1.5k F1 Masterlist
Tumblr media
Your head was resting on Lando’s lap while he watched whatever movie it was that he chose to calm his jet lag. He had slept for most of the flight back from Australia and now he couldn’t sleep despite the late hour. You were more interested in dozing periodically and enjoying the back rubs he unknowingly gave you every time the action scenes ramped up.
“Hey mate, you’re up late,” he greeted Carlos and you opened your eyes to see him stumbling into the room with a yawn.
“No puedo dormir,” he grumbled, as you curled your legs up before he dropped heavily into the space he had claimed as his seat.
“Can’t sleep,” you translated since the only Spanish your boyfriend knew was ‘I’m a lake’ and ‘sorry’. And he only knew sorry so he could apologise when he butchered the language.
“I swear it’s getting worse,” Lando commiserated with a nod. “If I go to sleep now I’ll pay for it tomorrow.”
The jet lag from constant travelling you could handle, but what you were struggling with was space on the three seater couch. You didn’t want to have to sit up since you were more comfortably lying down, so you stretched your legs back out, popping them down on Carlos’ lap.
“Can you please tuck me in?” you asked as you wiggled your toes. The blanket hadn’t moved with your feet and so the cool air was kissing them and making your entire body cold.
“That’s a job for your boyfriend,” he joked before pulling the blanket over his lap so he could steal the warmth too.
“Eh,” Lando shrugged, his eyes glued to the tv as he waved a hand in his direction. “Best friend’s share everything, I’m sure you can manage that.”
The words were purposeful and you frowned at the familiarity of them, like you had heard them somewhere but since forgotten.
“¿Todo?” Carlos chuckled, grabbing your foot that had shifted on his lap when you wriggled to get comfortable. You lifted your head to look at the Spaniard and met his dark eyes as he started to massage you, his thumbs working deep into your sole until a low sound escaped your lips.
“Shh, babe,” Lando hushed as he grabbed your head and laid it back down on his lap, his fingers idling brushing the column of your neck.
You bit your lip but it wasn’t long before you couldn’t help the sounds slipping through. Lando could probably feel your pulse speeding up beneath his fingers as Carlos’ massage began to glide up your ankle.
“Baby,” Lando murmured quietly as he placed one hand over your mouth, his thumb stroking your cheek, and the other grabbed the remote, increasing the volume on the tv.
You should have done something, said something, when his hands reached your calves but they felt good as they eased the tension from a weekend spent on your feet in Lando’s garage.
Your eyes closed as you tried to remain quiet and impassive but your body was screaming for more and your legs parted unconsciously when he reached the underside of your knee. Your eyes flew open as you felt Carlos rearrange the blanket and the adjustment caused your foot to brush a very hard body part trapped by the thin silk boxers he had gone to bed in.
“¿Qué?” he asked innocently, his eyes anything but innocent.
 You shook your head and relaxed back onto Lando’s thighs as you lost all ability to think clearly but the air in your chest froze. Lando froze too, not daring to even breathe as you rolled your eyes to look up at your boyfriend, both of you knowing exactly what you felt.
Lando tried to look coy but his dilated eyes were fixated on your lips and his fingers trailed over your collar before following the swell of your breasts and disappearing under the blanket.
“Lan…” you whispered as the pad of his thumb found your peaked nipple and Carlos’ palm warmed the soft skin of your inner thigh. “What are you doing?”
“Want me to stop?” he whispered back, before pressing his lips together to hide his smile when you quickly shook your head. “Then keep quiet, baby.”
His eyes returned to the movie but his attention remained on you and how you started to squirm with his touch, and soon he stopped pretending otherwise. The blanket slipped down your body as he pulled your camisole aside and the cold air sent a shiver down your spine.
“Lan,” you gasped as you tried to cover yourself, but he chuckled as he rolled your nipple between his thumb and forefinger, the sound turning to a needy whine. “Let’s go to bed.”
“I’m not tired,” he chuckled before looking over at Carlos whose hand was dangerously close to the lace edge of your panties. “Are you?”
“Not anymore.” Carlos’ tongue peeked out as he watched your bare breast rise and fall with your quick breaths, your eyes tracing it as it rolled across his lips, and an intrusive thought soon followed. You wondered how those full lips would feel against yours, if they were as soft as they looked, what pleasure they could bring.
“Do you really want to go to bed, love?” Lando asked, his eyes finding the lump under the blanket where Carlos’ hand rested. Carlos’ fingers dug into your skin like he was fighting the urge to close the distance to the second heartbeat that had started to throb in your core, the place you wanted him to reach.
“No,” you admitted quietly, closing your eyes as you felt guilty for even thinking about his best friend the way you were in that moment. It wasn’t the first time you had thought about the Spanish racer, you weren’t immune to the handsome men Lando called his friends, but it was certainly the most intense feeling.
“Do you want us to stop?” he asked, your eyes snapping up to him.
"Us?"
Lando’s chuckle harmonised with Carlos’ deeper one and they shared a look over you. “You get so vocal when you are drunk, baby. Best friends share everything, Lando.”
Your eyes widened as the night Barcelona came back to you and he ran his thumb over your lips still parted with surprise and shock.
It had started off with an innocuous question about what he told his friends when it was just the boys after he had overheard you talking with your girlfriends - explicitly. He had wondered what else you shared with them and you said ‘Best friends share everything, Lando. You do the same with Carlos’.
“Not everything, love,” he teased as he helped you undress in your intoxicated state. “We haven’t shared you.”
“Well you could,” you joked, collapsing naked on the bed as the room spun. “I love you and there is no one sexier than you, but he’s very good looking.”
You had passed out pretty quickly after that and hadn’t remembered the conversation in the morning.
The temperature seemed to swell as Lando’s thumb drew your lip down and he waited to see how you would react. You wanted the blanket gone, you needed the air to cool enough to breathe again, but your body reacted for you, your tongue catching his thumb and sucking it into your mouth until he moaned at the tight seal he knew felt heavenly around his dick.
The sound went straight to your core and you squirmed as fire ignited in your blood at the prospect of Lando sharing you with his best friend.
“Do you want us to stop?” he asked again as he palmed himself, needing some friction in its hard state.
You broke away from his face to look at Carlos, but you could still see the flush to his cheeks and the hunger in his eyes. It was almost impossible to see the brown rings around his dilated pupils and you noticed his bare chest rose faster than before as his biceps tensed, like it was taking all his strength to remain still.
You dragged your tongue up Lando’s thumb and swirled it around the tip before whispering, “No, please, don’t stop.”
The pretence of patience was gone, the moment of stillness shattered, and the blanket was whipped away from your body. The thin camisole you wore did little to hide what lay beneath, not after what Lando had done and when it had already ridden high up your thighs, and Carlos released a shuddering breath at the sight of your panties, a damp patch clearly noticeable.
“Estás divina,” he praised as he shifted in the seat, parting your legs so he could settle between them. “You are a lucky man, Lan.”
“I know.”
You forced yourself to check on your boyfriend and the reservation you had felt melted away as you saw the pride in his smile, the smugness of knowing you were still his no matter what Carlos got to have a taste of tonight.

No description of ethnicity one comment of complexion that’s it but reader when I write is always written with myself in mind. It’s soooo self indulgent.
this is SUPER self indulgent, So I first thought of this from his interview with Jimmy Kimmel when they asked about the migraines as an excuse not to have sex and of course his response was spot on he said “I don’t know what a migraine is” and Jimmy said “of cour you don’t” lmfao bc idk if I’d even turn him down if I had one!
I had a really bad period of back to back migraines for a couple months and this is what my brain rewarded me with in between one. I really don’t know what this is yall lol so don’t ask idk if I’m actually happy with it but yea lol
I put x reader but idk I guess it can tell be read that way, I don’t have the energy to re write it y’all so
now that I’m starting to feel better I will be catching up on my other wips.
if you like it, love it, fuck with it leave some love. I DO NOT give permission for my shit to be used anywhere by anyone.
🤕
Don’t focus on the pain, don’t focus on the pain she repeated over and over again in her head from under the safety of the soft cool cotton comforter as if it would keep away the pounding pain, protect her from it.
It would not.
Even with the house dead silent, the fan on for a little noise and all the black out curtains drawn that her boyfriend insisted he buy when he learned about her diagnosis from childhood- she knew relief would not find her. She shifted trying to readjust and find a more comfortable position to lay in, the little pocket above her head letting much needed cool air into her little bubble.
She knew a few weeks ago she should have reached out to her neurologist but she’d just been so busy it kept slipping her mind and the aspirin had been holding her over but this? no this one was a monster and it was full peak right now. It started almost a day ago after the LA screening for The Bikeriders and had not gone away.
It didn’t help that they also just got back from the UK press tour. All the flying, the red carpets, the flashing lights and noise was starting to take its toll. Recently her boyfriend of just a little over a year revealed to her how much he enjoyed having her accompany him and how he loves sharing those moment with her. Hence all the traveling she’d done recently at his side.
They still believed in healthy space but they truly enjoyed being together as much as they could.
Usually she’d fly out every 2 or so weeks to wherever he was since her job was more flexible, their relationship was long distance since she was still living in New York. Which they’d also discussed changing that status but they both agreed to iron out the plans once the tour was over and he had a few weeks of down time. They figured the actual move would happen after he filmed in NY the end of summer. Knowing summer was her favorite time to be home, ever the thoughtful boyfriend.
Though she was nervous to tell her family. They adored Austin but they’re a very close family and not seeing them everyday would take a lot of time to adjust to but it was important at this point in their relationship to actually be together. He even mentioned he’d love to look for a New York apartment which she had thought was unnecessary they could just stay with any of her family members when they visited until he reminded her she wouldn’t want her family to know she was his pretty girl who got cock drunk and loud when he fuck her stupid. Yes their own place was necessary.
She felt a sharp pain at her temple and groaned. It was like her brain was telling her to stop thinking about all the stress and think about the pain she was in, which she didn’t want to do either honestly. She wish she could sleep it off but it was impossible.
She flipped her pillow to the cool side and once again tried to empty her brain. Deep breaths girl deep breaths, the pain isn’t forever.
She heard the front door slam shut up, which made her curl up even more in a fetal position and the deep smooth voice of her favorite person calling out to her. That voice was her favorite in the whole world but right now she needed silence. She had hoped the migraine would have been over by the time he got back but she wasn’t so lucky. Now she would have to face the music.
She had been telling him the past couple weeks it was just little headaches nothing serious, he knew she got migraines but hadn’t experienced any with her so far. The past 2 years she hadn’t needed to be medicated, the doctor couldn’t tell her why they suddenly stoped and why she was only getting little headaches every once in a while. This is why she was so unprepared and completely out of her medication she hadn’t needed in so long; she truly thought they had finally stopped for good.
She couldn’t have been more wrong with the pain that was throbbing in her head. The front of her skull a constant ache and the back at the base of her skull and neck a wicked throbbing. The pain in her neck and shoulders unbearable even right between her eyes a sharp pain. She felt like she was dying. The fatigue of the attack her body was under was starting to catch up to her. She was trying to hold back the tears but the sound of boots pounding up the stairs along with the call of baby had her on the verge of a tearful melt down.
She wanted to avoid the conversation that would surely come after this, when he would witness her in a peak migraine state. She felt horrible because she knew he’d feel like it was his fault for encouraging her to come with him to all the press events but it wasn’t his fault.
She was an adult and she should have addressed this weeks ago with him and her doctor when the headaches started and not try to hide it to avoid worrying him.
She should have been honest and though she has no reason to be she was scared to tell him.  She was scared he may think she wasn’t able to handle this kind of life. What if he wanted someone who didn’t need to recharge so often? Or someone who could just do anything with him at anytime not be laying in a bed sometimes for more then a day in pain and grumpy. Someone who couldn’t be touched in this state or be the prefect girlfriend.
She also knew she sounded ridiculous that wasn’t who Austin was but it didn’t stop the insecurity she had about her migraines and how they held her back from life sometimes. Held her back from being fully emerged into his lifestyle. The guilt wrecked her.
She knew she was mostly feeling insecure about her migraines because of those comments. She wasn’t normally insecure but recently she had read some comments which usually don’t bother her, about her and Austin’s relationship and how unhappy she looked being on press tour and if she was so unhappy why not just leave so he could be with someone who was happier with him. Those people obviously ignored the photos that were not taking at events that showed how happy they were but not knowing or they probably didn’t care she couldn’t be happier than she was, she was just suffering from more frequent migraines.
So of course they’d focus on the bad, not all the fans but some. A lot of fans, who she felt were real fans could simply see how happy Austin seemed again. She knew how that felt, she met Austin as a fan and all his relationships and flings after Vanessa seemed lackluster and without any real connection, so she got it. But some of the comments were really getting to her at this moment. Especially the ones about how he looked happier with Kaia (which she knew was a lie from hell, she heard all about that relationship from Austin, his last ex) and then the ones about Vanessa looking happy ALL the time, which was funny because Austin spoke to her about their relationship also and if fans only knew it wasn’t always perfect, yes they loved each other but still there was a lot of hurt in that relationship for Austin.
Then when those things would pop up she’d think what she’d say to her mans ex’s if she ever met them or if she’d just ignore them.
Her head throbbed hard from all the unnecessary thinking and stress she was bringing onto herself, things she normal never paid any mind when the bedroom door swung open.
Baby? He called again, steps coming to a slow stop halfway into the room when she assumed he noticed the state of the room; all the curtains drawn, the TV and lights all off, no noise but the fan she placed near the bed even though the central air was on and the pile of blankets on the bed covering her balled up body. Not a single part of her visible as she quickly stuck her hand out the air pocket at by her head careful to not let any light in and weakly waved at him. She could hardly speak let alone move her head to acknowledge him anymore.
“Baby you still in bed? It’s 10” He asked as he walked closer, not that he cared it was just unusual for her and caused a bit of concern to form in the pit of stomach.
He watched the head or he’s assuming area of the blanket shake in a yes motion. Even with the black out curtains there was still just enough light to make out everything in the room.
“Baby what’s wrong” he asked in a soft voice from the edge of the bed, his hand running gently up and down some part of her body under the blanket. Her body coiled away from his touch. He tried to shake away the slight sting it caused him.
“uh migraine” she whispered weakly, if he wasn’t mistaken he could hear the underlying embarrassment in her tone. What could she be embarrassed about?
“Oh shit baby, you need anything? Anything I can do?” He genuinely asked in gentler tone, though she couldn’t see how his eyes soften knowing she was probably in an immense amount of pain.
He felt useless.
“Uh no, just gotta be left alone for a while” this time there wasn’t any embarrassment in her tone just guilt.
Austin tried to school his own face and tone of disappointment. He know he couldn’t do anything truly to make it go way but he wanted to help, wanted to be there for her like she’d been there for him on all his overwhelming days and nights from filming and traveling. His sweet girl deserved that. Then he thought back to this one thing he’d came across when he was reading online about migraines when she first told him she got them pretty frequently in the past. He quickly dismissed that idea, a slight blush creeping up his neck, he felt a little embarrassed himself for even thinking to suggest that, who says that to their partner Austin? He thought. She clearly needed to be alone.
“Ok I’m just head downstairs then, call me if you need anything”
He took another moment eyeing her blanket fortress before turning and slowly heading Towards their bedroom door.
“Austin?” He heard her call shyly, her voice still muffled from the layers covering her.
“Yea?” His own tone was laced with curiosity.
“Uh…there…there is one thing you could probably do for me…if you don’t mind..if you do it’s ok-“
He was quick to be at her side, slipping out his shoes, ready for whatever. His stomach burned a little thinking she may ask what he thought of just briefly a moment ago.
“Anything”
He watched her baby blue fresh set of nails slip from under the blanket and her hand reaching out for his. His own large hand was in hers before he even registered it moving. She tugged him lightly, his body following gently. He was careful not to touch her as he laid next to her, his chest near where her head was, he remembered her saying how she didn’t like to be touched when she was having an episode, everything felt more intense and for some reason it usually amplified the pain.
“Can I use your hand for a while?” She asked shyly still under the safety of the blankets, he could hear her clearer through the hole she left at the top.
He felt guilty at the blood that rushed his cock.
“Of course” He said squeezing the right hand that held his left one.
He allowed her to maneuver his hand so that his left hand was under her head, she placed his fingers at the base of her skull, thumb on one side and his fore finger and pointer finger on the left side.
“Can you keep your fingers like this and apply as much pressure as you can? This are some of my pain points and the right kind of pressure can ease the pain a little, usually I tie a scarf but it isn’t always helpful” she mumbled weakly.
He was confused.
“Oh ok..I..I thought-“
This wasn’t something he read, though he seen something about heat compress. He was confused because he thought she was going to ask for his hand to give her an orgasm. That was something interesting that he had came across. It said it didn’t work for everyone hence why he was slightly embarrassed to suggest it, he didn’t want her to think he was only thinking with his dick.
He applied the pressure anyway, happy to help anyway he could.
“Is that good baby?”
“You can press a bit harder”
He did as she said, feeling her body adjust just the tiniest bit next to him. A soft sigh leaving her lips.
She soft voice thanked him. He hummed a response, his own body adjusting slightly to get more comfortable.  He would lay here as long as she needed.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, she called his name.
“Yea?” He asked feeling more tired himself than what he thought he was when he got home.
“What were you going to say? When I asked for your hand?” She replied softly voice full of the need for sleep.
His felt that fire and a blush come back. He chuckled to himself. Now was good as anytime to confess his unconventional suggest and figure out if it was something helpful to her or if it was something she even heard of before.
“Uh..I..I had been reading about migraines when you first told me you got them, trying to understand them better-“ He was cut off by a whimper she made, a pitiful sound of endearment. He knew what she was thinking, she was taken back by his willingness to be there for her however he could and that meant trying to understand what she would be going through. He kept going. “And I was reading how orgasms can sometimes help temporarily, but I didn’t want you to think I was just thinking with my dick” he concluded softly. Feeling better about just getting it out and in the open, it didn’t feel so dirty anymore, like he was taking advantage somehow. He knew her better than to think she would think that but it didn’t stop his insecurities about the topic.
He felt her body stilled.
shit was she mad at him? He felt the slight unease creep into his stomach and his insecurities intensify at the thought that she would be mad at him for suggesting such a thing when he noticed her right hand slip from under the covers.
Her soft palm facing up and open in a silent question and permission, are you still willing? And of course you can touch me.
He let go of the breath he didn’t know he was holding and gave her his right hand, her soft fingers gently pulled his under the covers, her forearm resting ontop of his own as she slipped his hand under hers to be guided where he couldn’t see. Once his rough fingers tips ghosted over her wet pussy he didn’t need anymore guidance, he knew her too well, maybe better than she knew herself.
She gasped at the first touch and her hand left his to grip his forearm, as he’d started to explore her wet folds.
“How are you this wet already sweet girl? Hmm? Just can’t help yourself around daddy?” Austin questioned softly from above her, awe clear in his voice. He stayed laid on his left side, careful his body other than his hands didn’t touch her.
“Fuck” she groaned quietly from under the blankets. “Guess my body always needs you daddy” she moaned out. He groaned as his fingers applied more pressure and speed.
He felt the twitch in cock as she coated his fingers and moaned softly and weakly. His fingers switching between slow and quick. He was so painfully hard. He had to stay focus this was about her but how could he when her tight wet warm pussy was calling him? Begging for him. Her body was hardly moving just her hips grinding slowly into him.
Even fully covered by a ton of blankets he was still completely in-tune with her body. He didn’t need to see her face though he wished he could to kiss her soft lips, to know the pleasure he was giving her, to know she was close.
He blindly felt the warmth and wetness of her pussy driving into his hand slowly chasing the pleasure he was somehow able to provide in this state.
“Cum for me pretty girl, take it” he groaned lowly.
She moaned out, she sounded so exhausted and pitiful but he could tell she wanted this, needed it and he was more than happy to give it to her.
She squealed softly as she rocked against his hand, her body exploding and the sweetness of her drenching his fingers, her face seeking the comfort of his embrace under the blanket, he moved over slightly as his left hand still pressed to the pain points guided her, help her her blanket covered forehead lay against his chest. Her hips kept rocking slowly chasing the feeling.
“There you go baby” his husky voice praised even with a migraine she was still his good girl. So wet and warm and tight for him.
Moments passed with his fingers still cupping her warm sticky folds and the other still applying the pressure she required, neither hand moved as he felt her drift of to sleep, her body finally relaxing from the endorphins of her orgasm.
Austin woke to the press of a soft warm body slightly on top of his and light kisses and licks against his neck. He stirred and tried to adjust his eyesight to the darkness that had over taking the room. It must be late.
“Hey baby” her voice sounded softly, her lips suddenly near his own. She kissed his plump mouth, pecking kisses over and over. She sounded a lot better.
His arms moved to embrace her, pulling her further ontop of him and as close as he could get her.
“Hey baby” he replied his eyes seeking hers. The dimmed light from the hallway allowed him to finally see her. Though he didn’t physically see her face earlier, he knew she looked more well rested than she had in the past day or two. Her eyes had a fatigue to them but he was sure that would clear up from the migraine once she got some more rest. All and all she almost looked back to her normal self.
Her hand snaked up his chest to cup his face.
“Thank you, for everything” she told him a little emotionally.
He brought his lips to her for a passionate kiss, before laying his foreheads on hers.
“You don’t ever have to thank me, I’m yours, that’s what I’m here for, to take care of you” he whispered against her lips.
She pecked his again.
“And I’m still going to say thank you” she mumbled.
He pinched her side playfully as she laughed and pushed at him.
They just gazed at one another and she had to blink to stop the tears. She had woke to Austin on his back, her body against his. She had unconsciously sought his while she slept as the tension faded from her body and to her surprise his hand was still gripping the back of her head. The pressure had loosed when he eventually fell asleep but his hand was still there nonetheless. She didn’t think she could love the man more and here she was slipping further in the ocean that was Austin and some how she was learning she could breathe underwater. He was everything to her.
“I have a surprise for you sweet boy” she said smiling at him like he hung the moon and she’d die on that hill that he did.
Austin’s chest ached in a good way. He never wanted this to end. Couldn’t imagine it being any other way. Everything that had failed for him relationship wise lead him to this moment with her. He was better for it.
“Hmm, what’s that?”
She nodded her head to the side of him and that’s when he noticed the en-suite bathroom door open and the soft glow of candles burning. The scent of oils and salts hitting him. He quickly turned back to her.
“Wh-“
“You were knocked out and I wanted to return the love”
“You little sneak” he accused tickling her sides.
She was quick to scramble away from his hold and climb over him getting to her feet and out of his grasp when his hands followed her as she head toward the bathroom.
She stopped short of the door as she pulled her oversize graphic shirt over her head.
“I would do that you know, sometimes, never with men though, I hated being touched during my migraines but when it was really bad and I had the energy I would do it myself to help ease the pain” she spoke from the doorway to the bathroom, the soft light surrounding her body, giving a even more beautiful glow to her brown skin. “I didn’t think it would ever work from someone else’s hand, not too sure what that means handsome” she smirked.
So she had done that before he thought but just never with man, no man had ever made her comfortable enough to try let alone achieve bringing her relief. Austin felt those butterflies in this stomach again, he felt a sense a pride swell in his chest. His cock was even stirring again. That’s exactly who he wanted to be for her, the man that gave what she needed, what others couldn’t, he wanted to be the one no other man could compare to. He wanted to be her all.
She smirked at him almost as if she could read his every thought and she could because they mirror her own and how she felt about him.
“Lets go loverboy, it’s time for the real show”

I'm With You
Tumblr media
Summary: You're unsure of where your life is heading, but you're glad Christian is here to help you figure things out.
Warnings: Self doubt, uncertainty about the future, slight angst but fluffy overall
A/N: Inspired by "I'm With You" by Avril Lavigne. She always talks highly about this song and how it's not sad to her, but meant to be happiness shared with another person. I thought this would be so cute with Christian so here she is.
WC: 1.7K
"Won't you take me by the hand?
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I, I'm with you."
~~~
Christian had woken up after hearing some noise. As he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, he realized that his arms were empty which wasn't how he went to bed. He could hear a faint tapping noise that made Christian realize at some point during the night, you snuck out of his arms and into your desk area.
"This girl," he sighed to himself as he rolled out of the sheets, hissing when his feet touched the cold floor.
He found you sat in front of your laptop frantically updating your resume and filling out job applications. And unfortunately, this wasn't the first time he found you like that within the past few days.
"Babe you need to go to bed," Christian said as he wrapped his arms around you from behind, kissing the top of your head.
"Just let me finish this okay? I'm almost done I just wanted to check if anything new popped up," you responded, switching through your tabs.
"At 3 in the morning Y/N?" Christian said flatly.
"You never know! I don't wanna wake up only to find a job I really wanted was taken because I didn't see it while I was asleep!"
You and Christian had been together since high school, meeting after he'd accidentally kicked a ball at your head during a free period. Instead of being angry like he thought, you thought it was hilarious, teasing about how his aim needed work and offering to teach him. And just like that you'd been inseparable ever since. His move to Germany only made you love each other more, learning to appreciate each other's physical presence as you didn't often get the chance to see one another.
But while Christian was off playing in Europe, you weren't exactly sure what you wanted to do or what direction you wanted your life to go in. Nothing particular stuck out to you during high school, but you tried new things here and there to see if anything peaked your interest. Even as you attended university, you constantly questioned the major you chose and if it was something you genuinely wanted to do.
When Christian signed with Chelsea, you'd been long distance for a few years. While it wasn't a dealbreaker for your relationship, it could be exhausting. Between the different time zones and the inability to travel to see each other as frequently as you wanted, you'd seriously started to miss each other. You jokingly offered to move to London with him as a solution. But the more you thought about it, the better the idea seemed to be. You'd already finished your program and didn't have anything permanent keeping you in the States preventing you from leaving. So you officially made the move abroad to live with him in London almost like a gap year after you finished school. You thought London would be the inspiration you needed to figure it out.
But all it did was confuse you more. Adjusting to life in Europe was a little difficult for you as change in general was something you struggled to deal with. Even still, you still didn't find your calling in London. You'd tried odd jobs here and there, but nothing truly stuck and it started to worry you. You often found yourself searching at jobs trying to see if anything sounded interesting enough to you. You were even willing to volunteer at different places just for the sake of experience.
Yet despite all the setbacks, having Christian with you made it a lot easier. He was nothing short of supportive, often giving his input whenever you found something you liked. He was more than happy to shoulder most of the finances you shared together, but you never wanted him to feel as though you were taking advantage of him, trying to pay for things when you could. Christian was the one who constantly kept your spirits up even when things felt hopeless. While London wasn't what you thought it would be, you didn't regret your move because you had Christian.
You were a big factor as to why he ended up signing with AC Milan. Despite having Christian with you, you became frustrated with your situation. On top of that, London wasn't what he wanted either. Between his lack of playing time and your lack of figuring out what you wanted to do with your life, the two of you both decided a change of scenery would benefit the two of you. AC Milan was a team you'd supported since you were young, and Christian jumped when the opportunity to play for them presented itself.
So the two of you left your life in London for a new start in Italy. But while Christian was adjusting nicely, you had a bit of a harder time adapting to yet another change in your life. He loved his teammates, he loved the atmosphere of AC Milan, and he loved that he had a club and fans who supported him and wanted to see him succeed.
Your situation didn't really change. You were still unsure of what you wanted and you were set back even further when you realized job searching would be more difficult as you didn't speak Italian. Your stress levels were through the roof.
Christian was gearing up for preseason where he'd be back in the States for a few weeks. Unfortunately you'd be staying in Italy, meaning you'd be by yourself until he returned. The thought of being alone in a new country with no plan made you panic, hence why you were frantically looking for job openings at 3 in the morning.
Christian kissed your cheek sweetly before gently closing your laptop despite your protests.
"Hey! I was in the middle of that!" you exclaimed as you tried to continue your search, reaching to reopen the device.
He ignored you and grabbed underneath your legs, carrying you to bring you back to bed.
"And I was sleeping," he said simply. "And I can't sleep one, because you're not there, two because I can hear you tapping away, and three, because I'm worried about you."
He gently placed you down so you were sitting, your legs dangling off the side of the bed. He joined you, intertwining your fingers together.
"So what's going on baby? Why are you so stressed?" he asked, gently rubbing his thumb against the back of your head.
You sighed, laying your head on his shoulder.
"I don't know what to do Chris," you answered.
"About what?"
"Everything," you said quietly. "When I was younger, I always thought that by this point in time I'd have it all figured out. I'd know what type of job I wanted, what kind of house I wanted, where I wanted to go, what I wanted to do. But I don't have anything. I don't have a single plan or concrete thought."
Christian wrapped his arms around you to pull you in closer. You leaned into him even more, taking in the comfort he always provided.
"It seems so silly because you have a plan you know? You're following your dreams and you have such clear goals. You're doing what you've always wanted to do. Meanwhile I feel like I've tried everything under the sun and it's still not enough. I still have no idea what I'm doing with my life," you admitted.
"Y/N, it's not dumb or silly. You don't have to feel ashamed that you don't have your whole life set in front of you," he said, rocking you back and forth.
"That's easy for you to say Chris," you sighed.
"You and I know it's a little more complicated than that babe," he said.
"I'm sorry. I know it's been hard for you too. I guess I'm just feeling a little discouraged about everything," you said, feeling guilty for snapping at him.
"You don't have to apologize for anything Y/N," Christian replied. "I know it's been a hard transition for you. But you know you don't have to have everything figured out right now."
"I feel like I do."
Christian picked your head up so he could look you in the eyes. He cupped your cheek in his hand, thumbs gently tracing the beauty marks on your face.
"You don't baby. Football has always been my dream from a young age. But Chelsea didn't work out the way I wanted. And I was frustrated and upset and discouraged with the situation. I didn't know what to do or how to solve it. All I knew was that I wanted to play. I wanted a club that believed in me and trusted me to play for them. And you know what got me through those difficult times?"
You shook your head.
"It was you. Despite everything going on, you never failed to keep my spirits up. You were the light at the end of the tunnel that helped me see something good was coming my way even if I couldn't see it. I had nothing figured out, but nonetheless I had you and that was more than enough."
You dropped eye contact with him looking at the ground. He brought your face up back up.
"Don't shy away from me Y/N. I'm serious. It's perfectly fine that things are confusing for you right now. You moved away from home to a whole different continent. And once you were getting into a rhythm, you moved again. Things are bound to be uncertain and weird. But you don't have to face the uncertainty alone. I'm right here with you okay? Every step of the way.
"Which means you don't have to search things up at 3 am. Just take it day by day and take as long as you need. Things will work out when they work out. Don't try and force it just because you're unsure of what to do. Let me help you okay?"
"I love you Christian," you said tearing up.
"I love you Y/N. And don't you forget it."
Christian kissed you gently. You melted into his touch, feeling the love emitting from him.
"Now let's go to bed. I can tell you're fighting to keep your eyes open," Christian teased.
"Will you hold me?" you asked softly.
"Baby if it were up to me, you'd never leave my arms. Of course I'll hold you. Besides, I know you like being little spoon no matter what day of the week it is."
You lightly hit his shoulder and rolled your eyes. Nonetheless, the two of you shuffled under the sheets until you were safely tucked away from your stress in Christian's embrace. And while life was uncertain, you knew anything was possible with Christian by your side.
JEONG JAEHYUN
Prologue: There is no peace and privacy when you travel in the peak season. Perhaps getting stuck in a elevator with your fiancé can bring you that.
Genre: Smut + Established relationship AU
Wordcount: 922
Warnings: Sexual content [ make out + fingering + moaning +  grinding + mirror sex + getting caught? ]
Tumblr media
All of the chit-chats and the screaming of little children came to an immediate end when you stepped inside the elevator. This was probably one of the most peaceful moments you've had in the last week. Even the private suite of the resort could not give this level of solace. Traveling during the busiest time of year might not have been the best decision.
"Finally!" You exhaled a sigh of relief as your fiancé gave you a soft grin before selecting a number.
"It's actually peaceful." He did not say much, immersed in the tiny moment of the usual jazz music that was played in the elevator.
It would have barely moved a floor or two when a sudden thud was heard, and immediately everything went black, except for the neon emergency button. It was followed by the dim lights illuminating in case of emergencies, one of which was now.
"Oh fuck!" He cursed under his breath as he naturally moved closer to you, concerned.
"Looks like we'll be stuck for a while." You implied, crossing your arms. There was no sign of concern on your face, or in your words.
"Right." He hummed.
You swiftly drew your hand closer to Jaehyun's chest and ran it softly and delicately across it.
Your unexpected action surprised him. "Baby?" He inquired.
"Yeah?" Your voice was sultry, just like your stare, which was firmly set on his.
"Maybe we shouldn't do it here." He recommended, attempting to hold your hand and stop the movements that were gradually driving him insane.
"Why not?" You started to undo the buttons on the shirt one by one, slowly, without saying anything further as he watched without blinking his eyes even once.
A pink tint took over his cheeks and ears. He was shy.
"We've been together for six years, you don't have to be shy." You were now touching his bare torso as you stepped backwards and used his shirt to cover the security camera. After a brief period of adjustment, you switched your attention back to him. "They won't see us."
Jaehyun reciprocated the lust as he stood without his shirt on, revealing his toned muscles. He pulled you closer and wrapped his arms around you, followed by movements of them everywhere on your body.
As slowly as he could, he began kissing you, every few seconds he would tilt his head to the opposite side. Your hands roamed around his bare torso as he did and you'd let out a moan every time his tongue did the magic.
"Just marry me already." Jaehyun commented at the sight of the ring on your fourth finger, which sparkled in the dim lights.
"Hmmmm" You moaned as you dragged his hand up your ass, making him feel every inch of your body through the light fabric of your black dress.
He was enjoying it and it could be seen by the smirk on his lips. Jaehyun only acted shy and innocent.
"No panties?" He whispered in his rasp, low voice next to your ears, sending shivers down your core. He started to touch and caress it and your heart rate went up immediately.
Not different from his, your hands reached below his belt, toying with the zipper of his shorts. You could already feel how needy he was on the inside.
"Not here baby." He cooed. "Don't wanna make a mess, do you?" Moving his hand faster this time, he loved teasing you.
"Please, just once." You pleaded, looking at him with that needy look in your eyes, the ones you know he could never turn down.
He hummed again, and he turned you around to face the mirrored walls of the elevator as he stood behind you, folding his arm around your neck as he placed his face on your shoulder from behind you.
"This feels dirty." He went on, almost inaudible.
"Because it is." You replied back, which was shut down by another moan for he started placing sloppy kisses on the back of your neck. Six years, he had memorised your body by the heart.
It drove you wild when he pressed his clothed crotch on the back of your hips and started to grind while you two maintained eye contact through the mirror. Two pairs of eyes filled with the same leer.
"Hurry up!" You whined out of impatience. The adrenaline acted more of a turn-on when you knew it would not take long for the maintenance to reach for help.
"Wait for it, baby" Jaehyun murmured again.
This time around, another noise was heard, and a different sound was heard as the bright yellow lights turned on again.
Jaehyun pulled your dress down immediately as he stepped back.
Not a second later, the door was opened, revealing three people for help and a bunch of other guests. You sighed internally, Jaehyun's timing was perfect.
The people started to babble words out, in a language you could not understand, but their expressions suggested they weren't noble.
You tucked your hair behind your ear and looked at him. "Don't forget your shirt."
He nodded and went to grab it, holding it in his hands instead of putting it on, brushing his hand through his hair, following you outside the elevator, unapologetic.
"Where else do you act wild if not in locations where people don't know you?" You said as you walked towards the room.
"True." Jaehyun still wore that sensual smile, his brain filled with filthy things that he'd do once you two got a room.
em's favorite reads for 2022
Tumblr media
Hello and welcome to the list I said I’d make like two weeks ago and used to procrastinate doing both edits to sacrificial and messaging a client back about plot stuff!! Because I have a job now and I’m still adjusting to the fact that I’m an adult even now after all these years!!
It’s been a fucking YEAR. Even like for myself personally, like this year’s just been fucking nuts. And yet somehow I found the time to do an immense amount of reading. I keep track of books I read, and well, to make myself feel better about how few books I read this year (and last), I started keeping track of fics I read that were longer than 50k. After all, 50k is what NaNoWriMo calls a novel, so why can’t I? With that in mind, it looks like I read some 60 books this year, most of them booklength fics. Of course, the list I keep is not exhaustive, thought I like to think it’s still pretty thorough. This year saw me starting to peak into other fandoms and read within them on ao3, and it also saw me return to commercial romance in the form of the Bridgerton Novels. There were things that I started and took to long to decide I didn’t like, there were things that I started a few times and finally decided I loved, and then there were things that I finished and allowed to haunt me for days after, when I couldn’t find anything that could compare.
The list below is a selection of my favorites. All of them are works that qualified for a spot my personal “completed reads” list, so that means that, whether they’re finished or not, they hit roughly 50k (or were close enough for me to say it counted).  There are only ten because I had to arbitrarily pick a number to limit myself to, otherwise I would be here just listing things for the rest of eternity. Also note that there’s a lot of mxm on the list! On this blog, we are friendly to member x member fics, and if you have a problem with that, you can see yourself out. There’s so little I won’t read that after a certain point, it seemed silly to rule out some tremendous and beautiful stories just because I was worried about people being earnest Twitter shippers. The same accusations of delusional thinking can be easily leveled at those who read and write member x reader fics. In the end, the intent with which something was rendered matters more.
Anyway, that is all to sat that when I love something, I really deeply love it, and I will attempt to scream at anyone who’ll listen to me to read it. Consider this me, screaming at you with love. Happy reading <3
Before we begin, it should go without saying that all of the fics on this list are mature in nature and that you should not interact with them if you are a minor. Which like also, if you're a minor, you should not be on my blog, period. Read more disclaimers here.
Paid vs. Organic Marketing: When and How to Use Both
In the fast-paced world of digital marketing, businesses constantly face the decision of choosing between paid marketing and organic marketing strategies. Each has its unique advantages and ideal scenarios for implementation. To achieve sustainable growth and maximize ROI, understanding when and how to use both is crucial.
What Is Paid Marketing?
Paid marketing involves investing money into promotional activities to boost visibility, engagement, and conversions. Common types of paid marketing include:
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising: Ads appear on search engines like Google or Bing, and businesses pay for each click.
Social Media Ads: Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn offer targeted ad campaigns.
Display Advertising: Banner ads displayed on relevant websites.
Influencer Marketing: Collaborating with influencers to promote products or services.
Advantages of Paid Marketing:
Immediate Results: You can quickly drive traffic and generate leads.
Precise Targeting: Advanced tools allow businesses to target specific demographics, interests, and behaviors.
Scalability: Campaigns can be adjusted based on budget and performance.
Measurable ROI: Analytics provide detailed insights into campaign success.
Challenges of Paid Marketing:
High costs can add up, especially in competitive industries.
Results typically stop as soon as the ad spend ends.
Requires expertise to optimize campaigns effectively.
What Is Organic Marketing?
Organic marketing focuses on growing your brand without direct ad spend. This approach relies on strategies like:
Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Optimizing your website to rank higher in search engine results.
Content Marketing: Creating valuable content, such as blogs, videos, and infographics, to attract and engage audiences.
Social Media Engagement: Building a following through consistent, authentic posts and interactions.
Email Marketing: Nurturing leads with targeted email campaigns.
Advantages of Organic Marketing:
Cost-Effective: Requires time and effort but not direct ad spend.
Long-Term Benefits: Content can continue driving traffic and leads long after it’s published.
Builds Trust and Authority: Organic strategies position your brand as an industry leader.
Sustainable Growth: Encourages genuine connections with audiences.
Challenges of Organic Marketing:
Takes time to see significant results.
Requires consistent effort and high-quality content creation.
Difficult to guarantee specific outcomes.
When to Use Paid Marketing
Paid marketing is ideal when:
Launching a New Product/Service: Generate buzz and awareness quickly.
Testing Markets: Evaluate audience responses in specific demographics.
Seasonal Campaigns: Capitalize on holidays or peak shopping periods.
Recovering Lost Traffic: Regain visibility after algorithm changes or slow periods.
For example, a fashion retailer launching a new collection can use Instagram ads to target users who are interested in fashion and shopping trends.
When to Use Organic Marketing
Organic marketing works best when:
Building Brand Awareness: Develop a loyal audience over time.
Improving Website Authority: Consistently rank higher on search engines through quality content.
Engaging Existing Customers: Foster relationships through social media and email campaigns.
Budget Constraints: Focus on cost-effective growth strategies.
For instance, a local coffee shop can use SEO and social media to connect with nearby coffee lovers and build a strong community presence.
How to Combine Paid and Organic Marketing
A well-rounded marketing strategy often involves a balance of both paid and organic efforts. Here’s how to integrate them effectively:
Start with Organic, Amplify with Paid:
Create high-quality content and use paid ads to promote it to a larger audience.
Example: Publish a blog on "Top Travel Destinations" and run Facebook ads targeting travel enthusiasts.
Use Paid Insights for Organic Strategy:
Analyze paid campaign data to understand what resonates with your audience and apply those insights to organic efforts.
Reinforce Organic Success with Paid Ads:
Identify high-performing organic content and amplify it with paid promotions.
Combine SEO with PPC:
While SEO builds long-term traffic, PPC can target high-value keywords to capture immediate leads.
Retargeting:
Use paid ads to retarget visitors who engaged with your organic content but didn’t convert.
Measuring the Success of Your Marketing Efforts
Success in both paid and organic marketing is measured differently:
Paid Marketing Metrics: Click-through rate (CTR), cost per click (CPC), conversion rate, return on ad spend (ROAS).
Organic Marketing Metrics: Website traffic, keyword rankings, social media engagement, email open rates.
Tracking these metrics ensures you can optimize your campaigns and allocate resources effectively.
Dynamic pricing in the context of airlines implies the automation of the ticket price by changes in the general factors such as number of requests, market opportunity and people’s behavior. It helps an airline increase its profit the most by charging the correct price to the correct customer, at the right time.
With the trend expanding rapidly in the organization, dynamics pricing have become a major instrument of airline pricing to maximise revenue and value in the travel business.
How Does Dynamic Pricing Function: A Look at the Airline Industry
Like most products, pricing of airline tickets is more of a dynamic process involving a set of parameters analyzed using highly efficient IT tools. These factors include:
Demand Fluctuations: Families and business people prefer to travel during the holidays and weekends or other events, hence adjusts dynamic pricing airlines and hotel prices during off season or low demand as a strategy to attract more customers.
Booking Timeframe: Domain specifics for the airlines are that ticket prices increase as the specific date of depature is near, so people are motivated to book in advance.
Competitor Pricing: Tracking competitors’ rates in real-time enables an airline to change its fares to match those of the competitors’ to increase their chances of getting the customer.
Customer Behavior: Information from Web surfing, frequent flyer programs, and previous purchases enable airplanes to segment pricing at the individual level.
This dynamic approach always maintains flexibility in responding to the trends in the market in addition to increasing the occupancy of seats.
Why Do Airlines Use Dynamic Pricing?
Revenue Maximization: Airlines make sure to get the most out of ticket sales because prices are adjusted according to consumers’ ability to pay for tickets.
Improved Load Factor: This generic strategy enables the organization to match supply and demand, counter balance passenger traffic with aircraft occupancy and effectively stabilize operating costs.
Competitive Advantage: By using dynamic pricing the airline could move rather rapidly to respond to new condition in the market and therefore beat competitors who use even more creative pricing strategies.
What Are the Components of the Airline Dynamic Pricing Model?
The airline dynamic pricing model relies on the integration of various components to achieve optimal pricing outcomes:
Yield Management: Concentrates on issues of seats number and their cost in order to ensure the highest possible income.
Revenue Management Systems (RMS): Sophisticated programs used to analyse data on customer demand and then adjust prices accordingly.
Fare Classes: Each airline splits several classes assigned to seats that differs in price and conditions of booking for different segments of buyers.
Ancillary Services: There are issues to do with dynamic pricing that goes hand in hand with other aspects such as baggage fees, seat selection, and even in-flight services that greatly increases overall revenues.
Top 3 Use Cases of Dynamic Pricing in the Airline Industry
Optimizing Revenue by Employing Forecasting of Price Strategies
Use Case: Dynamic pricing uses the data gathered from earlier related sales and applies modern technological tools to change ticket prices instantly depending on the season and frequency of sales. It enables the setting up of time-sensitive pricing strategies that allows airlines to maximize on peak demand periods although keeping affordable during low passenger traffic times are observed.
Impact: Hence, flexibility achieves the right price at the right time in relation to demand perspectives and boost the airlines’ seat-stock utilization revenue.
Pricing Strategy That Depend on Customers’ Actions
Use Case: Prices are a very important factor and customers by using their search history, purchase history, and preferred choices, work well with the specific airline to create appropriate offers that would suit the particular customer. This kind of targeting guarantees that each consumer will be charged a price that reflects their respective conduct and price sensitivity.
Impact: Price customization improves the quality of the customer relationship, increases loyalty, and improves the perceived value of offers.
A model of dynamic bundling of ancillary services.
Use Case: Airlines on the other hand are able to change the price of other services such as baggage fees, upgrade fees to a preferred seat, and fees for onboard products and services depending on forces including demands, occupancy rates among others. It also enables formation of Advertising bundling that can help to meet the different consumer needs of the travellers.
Impact: Another reason is that dynamic bundling helps to get the highest amount of additional revenue, provides versatility for the travelers, and guarantees that added values are spread among a large number of consumers.
Industry Insights: Dynamic Pricing in the Airline Industry
When combined with a low-cost operation, dynamic pricing airlines has become one of the most disruptive approaches in the airline industry regarding ticket and additional services selling. Nowadays, learning from and adapting to the demands of the market is possible with the help of technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics, as a result, airlines can define successful revenue generation strategies. The following are the major highlights of the empirical findings on the current and future status of dynamic pricing variables in the airline business.
1. The Implementation of Innovative Systems: The Case of Dynamic Pricing
Dynamic pricing is based on advanced computation equations that undertake a number of computations in a single instance.
Today, many more airline industries use AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to analyze the traveling demand and respond accordingly with variable ticket pricing.
The case of big data is crucial as it enables factors like competitor price, booking, and economic indicators into the mix for different pricing strategies.
2. Higher Levels of Implementation of Secondary Revenues Strategies
Additional services such as check in luggage, booking of seats, and the ability to pre-board all have become major sources of income.
Dynamic pricing also applies not only to ticket selling but also examines varying possibilities of establishing or changing extra charges utilized by airlines throughout customers’ behavior and flights’ demand.
This shift is part of a larger trend in trying to make travel more personalized as well as to gain more non-ticket revenues.
3. Traveler Behaviour and Changes in the Market Place
People are getting smarter with their expenditures and applications that compare the fares are being used to determine the ticket prices.
This is true to an extent as to provide the benefit of perceived transparency airlines have resorted to transparent pricing models as a means to manage the cost volatility associated with dynamic pricing strategies.
This means that a variety of tariff structures influences customers to fix their bookings in advance or during low demand period in an attempt to try to achieve a far more balanced demand distribution and seats full factor.
4. Sustainability and Dynamic Pricing Integration
With the increase in sustainability knowledge and consideration, more airlines are in the process of adopting dynamic pricing in relation to fees for environmental friendly behaviors, for instance emission of carbon.
Dynamic pricing also serves to minimize wastage instances, which are evident from instances where the enforcing entity flies with full complement of passengers on an empty plane, a factor that can be said to have an overall, albeit; relation to emission reductions.
5. Challenges and Ethical Considerations
Static pricing, on the other hand, is disadvantageous to airlines, and its implementation has been described to raise issues of equity and price competitiveness.
Even federal energy regulatory commission which is od see and other consumer advocates say that prices must be better explained to the customers.
Firms in the airline Industry have to find ways of increasing their revenues and at the same time ensuring that the perception of the public on the company’s pricing policies is positive.
Looking Ahead
Dynamic pricing is still the trend in airline industry due to changes in technology and consumers buying trends. It is expected that future advancements of such technology will concern itself on even higher levels of personalized interfaces, the integration of more AI automation into such devices, and more concerns on transparent accountability due to ethical reasons. These trends help airlines to sustain themselves in a rapidly growing market and enhance the existing customer experience simultaneously.
Conclusion
In the airline industry a dynamic pricing strategy is a complex and smart scientific methodology to match the price with the most suitable demand level while being profitable. Thus, with the help of such novelties of air transportation as advanced analytics, AI, and customer behaviour, airlines can set ticket prices dynamically so as to meet the air carriers’ business goals as well as customers’ expectations.
At the same time, this pricing model has its drawbacks, such as the uncertainty of the price, but this pricing model also provides airlines with opportunities to develop and grow in the complex world of travel. By learning about these tactics, the traveler can better protect him or herself and get a better of idea of how pricing for airline tickets actually work today.
How to Choose a Revenue Management System for Hotels?
Tumblr media
In the case of low-profit margins, the selection of the appropriate RMS is critical for business success. A good RMS assists hotels in changing the price instantly, forecasting the occupancy levels correctly, and improving the guests’ experience. This blog will outline the key components of RMS by MMR Hotels, why they are relevant in the current business climate, and how they can transform conventional hospitality operations. At the end of this article, you will be in a position to make the right decision when it comes to choosing the right revenue management system.
Why Revenue Management Systems Are Essential for Hotels?
Revenue management systems enable hotels to make pricing decisions automatically through data analysis of trends, market, and occupancy rates. This analytical approach increases the revenue capabilities and allows hotels to make the right decisions regarding room rates and promotions. An RMS means that hoteliers do not make decisions based on guesswork but use data to manage guests’ expectations and business revenues. This not only increases the number of occupied rooms but also increases revenue in all the working sales points.
Key Features to Look For in a Hotel Revenue Management System
Certain features must be carefully considered when selecting the best RMS. Here are answers to how to choose a revenue management system.
Automating Dynamic Pricing: An RMS with real-time pricing features adjusts prices in response to competitor analysis, seasonality, and market demand. This function is key to maintaining competitive rates and maximizing revenue without manual adjustments.
Demand Forecasting and Analysis: Predictive tools in an RMS can analyze historical data and predict future occupancy trends, helping to optimize inventory management. This also aids in long-term planning by enabling data-backed forecasts for high and low seasons.
Channel Management Integration: A stable RMS should seamlessly integrate with online travel agencies (OTAs) and direct booking channels, ensuring that room availability and rates are synchronized across all platforms. This minimizes overbooking risks and improves guest satisfaction.
Personalized Marketing Insights: Some advanced RMSs can generate insights about guest preferences, making it easier to create tailored promotions or upsell opportunities. This personalized approach enhances guest loyalty and optimizes the overall guest experience.
User-Friendly Interface: Hotel staff may not have a tech background, so it’s essential to choose a system that is intuitive and easy to use. A well-designed interface reduces training time and enhances staff productivity.
Security and Compliance: With sensitive guest data involved, data security is paramount. Ensure that the RMS complies with industry standards to protect guest privacy and your hotel's reputation.
When asking, "How to choose a revenue management system for a hotel?" These features ought to be at the top of the list of priorities.
How RMS Transforms the Traditional Hotel Environment?
In the traditional hotel management model, pricing decisions and occupancy predictions often relied on manual tracking and subjective judgment. However, with RMS, hotels can switch to a streamlined, tech-enabled approach that brings significant benefits:
Enhanced Efficiency: Automated tools reduce the need for manual work, allowing staff to focus more on customer service than rate adjustments or availability tracking.
Improved Profit Margins: By maximizing the room rate potential during peak periods and maintaining occupancy during off-seasons, an RMS ensures that hotels maintain steady income streams year-round.
Informed Decision-Making: An RMS provides real-time insights and forecasts, empowering management to make timely decisions that adapt to changing market trends, leading to smarter, more strategic planning.
Enhanced Guest Satisfaction: With accurate occupancy forecasting, hotels can offer promotions, packages, or room upgrades, enhancing the guest experience while managing occupancy effectively.
Why MMR Hotels is the Solution for Your Hotel Management Needs?
MMR Hotels offers a complete revenue management solution that is tailored to the needs of the hospitality industry. MMR Hotels’ RMS provides hotels with powerful pricing, distribution, and forecasting capabilities that help to improve revenue strategy, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. MMR Hotels’ system is compatible with other property management systems and other channels to provide a comprehensive solution for managing all aspects of a hotel.
They are a reliable hotel management solution due to their focus on security, ease of use, and the ability to provide valuable information.
Choosing the Right Revenue Management System
It is crucial to comprehend how to select a revenue management system for hotels that want to succeed in the current environment. Look for features that support dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, and easy integration with booking channels. Most importantly, an RMS should be secure, user-friendly, and capable of providing actionable insights. How to Choose the Right Size Warehouse for Your Business
When you're expanding your business, finding the right warehouse space can feel like one of the most crucial decisions you'll make. Whether you're managing inventory for a growing eCommerce store or setting up a distribution center for your manufacturing business, choosing the right warehouse size can impact your operations, costs, and growth potential.
Tumblr media
In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of selecting the optimal warehouse space for your business, offering insights on warehouse capacity, storage space planning, and space optimization. We'll also touch on factors to consider when renting warehouse space and provide helpful tools, like a warehouse size calculator, to help you determine exactly how much space you need.
1. Understand Your Current and Future Storage Needs
The first step in choosing the right warehouse size is to assess your current inventory needs. Take a close look at what you’re storing now, how much space it occupies, and how often it moves in and out of your warehouse. At the same time, think about your growth plans over the next 1 to 5 years. If you expect your business to grow rapidly, it’s important to plan ahead and choose warehouse space that can accommodate future inventory increases.
Tip: When assessing your needs, don’t forget to account for seasonality. Some businesses see significant spikes in inventory at certain times of the year (like during holidays). Factor this into your space planning to avoid overcrowding or unnecessary costs during peak periods.
Tumblr media
2. Consider Warehouse Layout and Flow
When evaluating warehouse rental options, think beyond the warehouse size alone. How the space is laid out is just as important. A large warehouse might seem ideal, but if it’s not designed efficiently for your workflow, it can lead to wasted time, increased labor costs, and product damage.
Think about how your inventory moves through the warehouse. Are there clear zones for receiving, storing, and shipping products? Efficient storage space planning should optimize how products are picked and shipped. This helps minimize travel time, reduces errors, and ensures the warehouse operates at peak capacity.
3. Assess Warehouse Capacity and Flexibility
The warehouse capacity should reflect your specific needs, but also give you enough flexibility to grow. Many businesses make the mistake of either renting too much or too little warehouse space. A space that’s too small leads to congestion and inefficiency, while a space that's too large can result in wasted overhead costs.
Some warehouse rental options offer scalable contracts, where you can adjust your space as needed. This is especially helpful for businesses in their early stages, or those with fluctuating inventory needs. Look for flexible options that allow you to expand or downsize as your business evolves.
Warehouse Size Calculator: Using a warehouse size calculator can help you estimate your storage requirements more accurately. It allows you to calculate your storage needs based on the type of goods you're storing, the turnover rate, and available space for shelving or pallet racking.
4. Think About Space Optimization
Once you’ve determined how much warehouse space you need, the next step is to optimize space utilization. A warehouse doesn’t just have to be large—it needs to be smart. Space optimization for warehouses means using your warehouse’s full potential without sacrificing efficiency or safety.
Consider maximizing vertical storage, using adjustable shelving, and investing in high-density racking systems. Also, plan for clear aisles and sufficient space between products to allow for easy access and safe handling.
Tumblr media
5. Location and Accessibility
The location of your warehouse is another factor that plays into its size and capacity. A warehouse rental in a prime location close to highways, transportation hubs, or shipping routes might come at a higher price, but it will save you money on transportation costs and reduce delivery times.
If you’re considering renting warehouse space in a less central area, you may be able to secure more affordable rent, but keep in mind that the extra travel time and cost to and from major distribution centers could offset the savings.
6. Think About Technology and Automation
If you’re considering investing in automation or technology (such as a warehouse management system, barcode scanning, or robots), you’ll need to account for this when choosing warehouse size. Automation may require more space for equipment or dedicated areas for processing, packing, and shipping.
Integrating automation can make your warehouse more efficient, but it also increases the need for organized planning, so you don't waste space or money on unnecessary tech installations.
7. Factor in Operating Costs
When renting warehouse space, it’s important to understand all associated costs. Rent is just one piece of the puzzle. Don’t forget to account for utilities, insurance, maintenance, and labor. A larger warehouse will likely incur higher operating costs, so weigh this against the benefits of having more space.
Smaller warehouses often mean lower upfront costs but could lead to higher operational expenses if you’re frequently reorganizing inventory or paying overtime wages to employees due to space constraints.
8. Plan for the Long-Term
Finally, your choice of warehouse should support your business goals not just for the short term, but also for the long haul. The optimal warehouse space is one that grows with you. As your business scales, will the warehouse be adaptable to your new needs, such as the introduction of new products, expansion into new markets, or the implementation of advanced supply chain technologies?
Look for warehouses that offer expansion potential or opportunities to negotiate lease terms in the future. If you're building your own warehouse or planning an investment, ensure it offers scalability without significant additional costs.
Money-Saving Tips for Car Rentals in Iceland
Tumblr media
Timing Your Rental Right
June and August are this place’s peak travel seasons, so the rates go sky-high. If your visit is to be during off-peak seasons, usually April-May or September to October, your rental budget can easily be reduced by at least 30%. Economy car rental in Iceland became quite affordable during those periods. Moreover, one will need more competition against the available vehicles.
Location Matters
It depends on where you collect your hire car and can vary enormously in the final cost. Car rental in Iceland Keflavik is incredibly convenient, picking you right off your flight, but will typically charge you top money to do so. Take the shuttle into Reykjavik and collect your car hire there instead. This can save you a fair sum of cash that may cover several nights of accommodation.
Insurance Considerations
The weather in this place might be a bit unpredictable so you would need insurance coverage, not an option. You’re not required to take any package from the rental firm at an outrageous fee. Check if your credit card covers car rentals picked up at the airport. Many cards include collision damage waiver protection, saving you $20–30 a day.
Vehicle Selection Strategy
A common mistake tourists make is renting a larger vehicle than necessary. While 4x4s look exciting, a compact car works perfectly fine for Ring Road adventures during summer months. Most vehicle rental Iceland companies offer fuel-efficient small cars that can handle paved roads well while cutting fuel costs significantly.
Fuel Economy Tips
Petrol prices at this place rank among Europe’s highest. Plan your routes and fill up in larger towns where prices tend to be lower. Many rental companies offer diesel vehicles, which typically use 30% less fuel than their petrol counterparts. The savings add up quickly on long road trips.
Hidden Cost Prevention
Read the rental agreement carefully before signing. Some companies charge extra for additional drivers, GPS units, or child seats. Bring your GPS device or download offline maps. Pack your child’s car seat if the airline allows it to be accessible. These small decisions can save you $100 or more over a week-long rental.
Smart Booking Tactics
Book your rental car at least three months ahead for the best rates. Prices typically rise closer to the rental date, especially during peak season. Many companies offer early bird discounts of up to 15%. Compare prices across multiple rental agencies, but remember that the cheapest option is sometimes the best value.
Documentation Preparation
Having all necessary documents ready prevents costly delays and potential issues. This includes a valid driver’s license, credit card, and proof of insurance. Some Car rentals at Iceland Airport companies offer discounts for presenting certain memberships, such as AAA or airline loyalty programs.
Additional Money-Saving Strategies
Plan your arrival and departure times carefully to keep your rental period efficient. Most companies charge for 24-hour periods, so picking up a car at 10 AM and returning it at 2 PM counts as two days. Adjust your schedule to avoid these extra charges.
Conclusion
Savvy travelers know that saving money on car rentals doesn’t mean compromising quality or safety. By planning, choosing the right vehicle, and avoiding unnecessary extras, you can explore Iceland’s magnificent landscapes without breaking the bank. Remember to compare different rental options, read reviews, and book early to secure the best deals for your Icelandic adventure.
