5 was answered here and 8 here. tldr: id like to play as eeveee again or a zorua like in the romhacks for explorers; and i draw grovyle and dusknoir inspired by soko_koso on twt/bluesky (srs their pmd art is amazing)

9. what do you ship in the games? just like. in general.

i am a multishipper so i can potentially be into anything except some very specific ships lol. have some ideas i have thought about ocassionally

i like hero/partner in all entries, tho i think PSMD has the best dynamic (it feels like the skyward sword zelink vs other games zelink?? if you know what i mean??)

I love fanart of gengar and gardevoir regardless of it being platonic or romantic, i just really like that plotline bc its the best thing in Rescue Team imo

Sunflora/loudred is very cute to me, i think their special episode is very sweet and shows a very cute friendship. Wigglytuff/chatot, my gay parents who take 90% of my income. Team Charm polycule could be fun, but I like the idea of Lopunny/Weavile too, give them sth to do.

I was always a fan of Darkrai/Cresselia in the anime/games, so seeing Explorers of Spirit give them a dynamic beyond "gud chases bad" was all i needed to want to see them form a deeper bond. also you probably have not seen the last of my crackship darkrai/grovyle/dusknoir bs, yall have been warned

Virizion/Emolga or polycule with dunsparce is adorable, love that. Hydreigon/Munna could be sweet i think, basically grovyle/dusknoir but even more depressed. uhh that rampardos shopkeeper with cincinno, idk if that was gates or psmd but theyre nice.

in psmd i really like the small dialogues of krookodile/miltank, hes a big brute whos very smitten and eager to do a good job and i think it works. Ampharos/Mawile, kind of like wiggly/chatot, i like the leader x right hand man dynamics lol. And this is gonna sound weird but soko_koso singlehandedly made me appreciate hero/nuzleaf, they made it work. although i still prefer the fatherly dynamic that is used in the game in general

And i think thats all of them, i cant think of any other couple that stands out to me :). Now, I'm gonna go play special episode 5 for the first time, I'm sure there will be nothing too special or heartwarming there /j

Hi sorry I need to do some more Pokemon posting bc this is the funniest shit. the cute-looking Pokèmon TCG series is making "TM10" part of its branding. Like, TM10 from the games - its the TM for the move Hidden Power, thats cute! Its reflecting the main character discovering herself in the same way the move works in the game, what a cute little detail!

Except uh. Just one problem.

Game Freak in all their brilliance removed Hidden Power from the franchise four years ago in Generation 8* and its still not able to be used in Scarlet and Violet. Its not just that you cant teach it to Pokèmon anymore, you straight up cannot use the attack even if you trade in Pokèmon from older games who know it. Its like a banned technique.

So then that begs the question – if the TCG show is gonna be referencing TM10 this much, but TM10 *isn't* Hidden Power anymore, surely that means TM10 is another similarly inspiring attack - Stored Power, or Calm Mind, or Smart Strike?

Well, depending on if its Gen 8 or 9, I hope the kids will have fun Discovering Their Own Magical Leaf and/or Discovering Their Own Ice Fang. Truly inspiring words. love how well managed this franchise is

I’m probably a broken record about Unova at this point but I still think about how they not only gave Ghetsis’s Hydregion frustration, but they made said Hydregion the only Pokémon (to my knowing) owned by a CPU trainer to have absolutely zero happiness. As the player, do you know how fucking hard it can be to lower happiness if you aren’t actively trying? You gotta intentionally send a Pokémon out to be knocked out, basically never heal it, and almost never walk with it in your team and stick it in the box

If Ghetsis was so mean to his Pokémon to intentionally lower a Pokémon’s happiness and increase its anger with abuse for its power (Which lets be honest, in universe it was probably much worse than it is with just a simple gameplay mechanic, likely actual abuse) can you even begin to imagine what he did to the people he called his kids? This is also the same man who stuck his son in a windowless room on his own with no bed and only let him talk to Pokémon so hurt by humans he quite literally couldn’t speak with them cause their hearts were so broken

They went so hard with the storytelling in Unova I’ll never stop thinking about this subtle detail it makes me feel ill. Quite literally the reverse of sticking a Crobat to every evil team leader to imply they at least treat their Pokémon with kindness. Ghetsis is such a bitch he’s one of the greatest gaming villains ever fight me
