When I tell you this is powerful and it spoke VOLUMES when I saw it! 😩😭👏🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾 . . . I have this mindset that I live by: my life and the things I do and accomplish are not for me. I’m building a house, metaphorically speaking and I fully understand that my children and their children and so on will have to stand on that house (the legacy I leave behind). So for the last couple of years, I’ve been conscious about how I react to certain situations and how I internalize messages and who I share my space and energy with. I’m not in the business of letting things like bitterness and the mistakes of my parents and my own personal failures and insecurities take root in my life and in my spirit. I have to let any future children I might have be given an almost clean slate. Too many times we walk around with the pains and insecurities of our parents and it makes us guarded and bitter and we can’t form healthy relationships, etc. Let’s kill these things from the root.
