So, this is a more personal post than usual and for once, I’m actually dropping the facade and being real.

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’ve probably seen me tag @vaptainhammer in several posts, calling him “my man”. Well, after really thinking it over, we have decided to move forward with our relationship and get the government involved. Now this will take a lot of logistics and planning because we are long distance, and while it may take some time for him to actually get his ass over here and properly propose, I still wanted a sort of pre-engagement ring to signify to the world that I am off the market.

Now, years ago, before I even got back into Ace Attorney (but was still involved with my man - that’s right, I found one who loves me through all my hyperfixations) my aunt wanted to clear out some of her jewelry and gave a bunch to my sister and I and I got a ring that sat forgotten in a jewelry box until we decided to move forward with our relationship and I saw it and thought it was perfect and took it to a jeweler who verified it is in fact real silver, not costume jewelry, and got it resized and polished up and I wanted to share it all with you because… Well, best to just let you see.

That’s right! After all of it and everything, I’m still a ride or die Wrightworth bitch and my man is still marrying me in spite of it!

I do. Just logged on and got some fresh ones just now even. The difference is I never post them, vague blog them, or acknowledge them in any way. I immediately open a duplicate tab, delete the message in one, and block the person in the other (yes, you can block anons, for those of you who are new here).

And I know I really shouldn't be giving a peek behind the curtain like this, but I feel like this advice might be useful for other people. I don’t delete hateful messages because I’m being a bigger person or because I think ignoring bullies makes them go away- oh no. I’m doing this out of pettiness and spite, especially when the hate is anonymous.

People who send awful messages want attention; whether it’s good or bad attention doesn’t matter. They just want to be acknowledged. And nothing vexes them more than them sitting there, refreshing your blog ad infinitum, and their shitty little drivel never pops up. You just keep blogging stuff you usually do, and never pay them any mind, and they go fucking insane about it.

And the best part is, once someone starts constantly refreshing my blog? My IP tracker shows me that, and that’s how I figure out who the person is, and then I can block them entirely.

June is a lovely month that I love a lot for pride and I’m intending to go absolutely batshit

It’s not going to be as balanced and structured as you’d expect, since my main blog is very dependable and there’s always a plan. but by all means, please send in requests for pride edits! Saturday Six (Stuff)

My Dude (@super-ultra-mega-kami-guru) got a J O B, at the big store (don't @ me about your corporate/capitalism bs OK, there ain't shit else to do in this town), and I'm super proud of him. I went ahead and spent some money (oops) on myself to get organized, and hopefully make my back feel better when I do office work at home. Just the getting to the organization part is gonna kind of suck. But it'll be good when I do. Somebody pray to those gods for me, Mmkay? (。-ω-)ﾉ

We got HBO Max app (pirate that shite) to work on our TV finally, and we watched the new Adventure Time content. Y'all, the first episode is so good, ngl. I loved it so much. After going to the grocery store last night, I gotta say, I don't think having more lockdown measures would be a bad thing for the USA, FFS. More annoying than anything else

Happens everytime... I stay talking to someone online, we seem to have a good conversation to start, then in an apparently feeble attempt to get to know them better I ask a simple question. They don't respond. So I wait a day or two to see if they've answered, they have been online that much I know but no response.

It's just annoying.

Not gonna turn this into a whole thesis statement but like I don’t think that OC and self-insert fic is disproportionately written by young teenagers because it’s an inherently immature interest to have, I think the age disparity is because the longer you spend in fandom the more likely you are to have it hammered into you that OCs and self-inserts are “cringy” and you need to start liking Real Fic(tm).

Like just from my own experiences and observations, I’d put money on the idea that there’s a lot of older fans who would actually enjoy reading and/or writing OCs and self-inserts, but don’t because they’ve spent so long time in this weird climate of shame that we have.

Gifmaking Hiatus

This week (I have two posts left in my queue) I’m going on a hiatus from gifmaking as I’m moving, and I’m busy with The Theatrical Board (an online theatrical editorial board I founded) and my creepy doll empire.

I have no idea how long I will be gone. Maybe forever.

Thank you for the years, and the gifs, and the tags, and the tears, and the laughs. It’s been invaluable.
