Hello! Do you have any fun critters from Ecuador (especially birds, but really any interesting critters)?
Animales de Ecuador:
As you may know, I worked and lived in Ecuador for a year, and it was one of the best times of my life. Here are some animals that I got to know while I was there...
Many-banded Araçari (Pteroglossus pluricinctus), HE SCREMMM!!!, family Ramphastidae, order Piciformes
photograph by Jeff Dyck
youtube
Horned Screamer (Anhima cornuta), family Anhimidae, order Anseriformes, found in central and northern South America
Mainly herbivorous waterfowl, in the same order as ducks and geese, but in a different family.
Screamers prefer to walk/wade through their habitats, instead of swimming. They can swim, but are not as proficient as ducks and geese.
Hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin) aka “Stink Turkey”, family Opisthocomidae, order Opisthocomiformes
The only living member of the bird order Opisthocomiformes.
This leaf-eating bird uses foregut fermentation, in its enlarged crop, to help break down its food. (The ferementation is where the smell comes from, which gives it the name “Pavo Apestoso”)
They live in vegetation at the edges of lakes, streams, and rivers.
The young have 2 small claws on the fronts of the wingsthat help them climb through vegetation.

Northern Caiman Lizard (Dracaena guianensis), family Teiidae, found across NW and north central South America
Aquatic, feeds on large snails
photograph by Bill Hallier, Nathan Jordan, BryGuy Reptiles
Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boa (Corallus batesii), family Boidae
This species was once considered to be a population of the Emerald Tree Boa, Corallus caninus, but was made a distinct species in 2009.

Variable Clown Tree Frog (Dendropsophus triangulum) “giraffe morph”, family Hylidae

Okay, to counteract all my complaining, here are some (lore friendly) mods that I just like a lot (no animals, people, weapons/armors, mesh/texture replacers, etc. because there's too many and it gets boring.)
-
Ghosts of the Deathbells: adds a really rare, somber event to picking a deathbell flower.
Falmeroon: adds Snow Elf ruins to some remote edges of the map. I've made an unofficial SE port here.
Snow Whale Bones: adds the remains of Snow Whales in some mountainous areas (iffy canon but sorry they are Cool.)
Windmills of Skyrim: adds windmills with unique, custom-painted sails to farms.
Scarecrows of Skyrim: adds scarecrows to farms.
Scribes of Skyrim: makes books and notes use a variety of typefaces (any fellow Pentiment fans out there?)
The Old Ways-Nordic Religion: adds totems representing the Nordic pantheon around Skyrim. Has patches for the next recommendation.
The Great Towns/Villages series: overhauls the smaller, worldspace towns in a really cool way, includes voice-acted NPCs. Personally, I like Kynesgrove the best because it actually adds to the lore about the Nordic pantheon. For Shor's Stone, I recommend this mod as well.
Redbag's Rorikstead: I like this mod over Great Village's version because the houses have sod roofs and I'm a sucker for sod roofs.
Capital Windhelm Expansion: adds some really thoughtful lore touches (Dunmer refugees outside the walls, an Arena, and a cool vampire quest)
Relic of Dawnstar: adds a Gehenoth skull to the White Hall (requires Cities of the North), inspired by the lore of the Travels game
Environs series: thoughtful additions that makes certain places change over time.
WiZKid's mods: especially Lund's Hut, Lively Farms, Icy Windhelm, Pinewatch, Hall of the Dead Stained Glass Windows, and Pavo's House. Sepolcri is also pretty good but loses immersion points for using celtic cross gravestones. You can pry Lanterns of Skyrim II from my cold, dead hands, though. Lux? Idk her, LoSII is my bestie.
Fancy Sleeping Tree Replacer: the Sleeping Tree is supposed to be a remnant of the sentient trees of the flying city of Umbriel (from the novels.) It should be weird, is what I'm saying, and this mod makes it alien and beautiful.
Unique Culture Riverwood: a mod that gives Riverwood its own style of farmhouse and a little more personality. The author has also made a mod for Falkreath.
Immersive World Encounters: adds more and edits World Encounters, including encountering faction NPCs out and about (ex. the Companions outside of Whiterun doing Companion-y things in the wilderness).
Glorious Doors of Skyrim: adds some really cool doors. 'nuff said.
Redbag's Dragonreach: adds some unique flair to Jarl Ballin's crib.
Cultured Orc Furniture: replaces generic furniture in Orc Strongholds with custom furniture.
Lavinia's Memorial: adds some gifts from her grieving parents to the little girl's grave in Falkreath. Ouch.
Nocturnal Moths: adds moths that spawn around lanterns at night.
Moons and Stars: fixes the positions of the stars and moons, as well as making moon phases consistent.
DK's Realistic Nord Ships: replaces Skyrim's ships with some gorgeous new models.
Morgenstern's Mushroom Circles: adds more fairy rings in the wilderness. Delightful!
Bloodmoon Brodir Grove: makes the grove in Solstheim a little more like it was in the Morrowind DLC. The mod author also has more mods that bring Bloodmoon details and locations to Solstheim.
Ships of the Horizon: does what it says on the tin.
EVG Animation Variance: the whole animation series by Everglaid is nice (haven't tried Traversal yet, but that is some incredible technology) but I especially like this one for the old people animations
jasperthegnome's houses: these are SO cozy and comfy.
Arctic- Frost Effects Redux: makes frost spells have cooler effects (including 3D ice spikes)
Northern Roads- Let Me Guess Someone Stole Your Sweetroads: a plugin that cuts down on Northern Roads, removing all the landscape changes and bridges and just keeping the clutter. Way more compatible than the original mod.
Skyrim Bridges: this is my favorite bridge mod. There are many, but I like this one best.
Edit: forgot two tiny mods in my original post:
Nightcaller Temple Unique Shrine of Mara: replaces the generic shrine with a wooden shrine Erandur carved
Broken Tower Redoubt Unique Shrine of Dibella: similar to the above mod, but Reachmen carved this one.

Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough
Rating: Explicit Relationship: Alien x F!Human Warnings: alien sex, space force, weird alien sex, sex cocoon, zero gravity sex
Word Count: 5,599
Brother works at Space Force, so it's not uncommon for aliens to stop by. Though this one is a bit cute.
------------------------------------
I can only stare at the tall dark figure hiding in my kitchen. It seems that's all the figure can do as well. Trapped in a standoff. My heart races a mile a minute, never expecting to have company so late at night. I slowly reach for the light switch, careful with any sudden movements. As the room becomes clear I finally see what's standing on the other side of the kitchen island.
"Oh," I gawk. Before me is an incredibly tall alien, equipped with long lanky limbs, odd head-shape, and spikes barely visible behind their back. An honest-to-God alien is standing in my kitchen. "I'll take it you are looking for my brother," I ask as I casually walk over to the fridge.
It's the alien's turn to gawk," Uh, yes. Is he here?"
I look through the fridge for the pitcher of sweet tea, spotting it on the top shelf. "No, he is on his way back from his friend's place though. Should be in within the hour if you wanted to wait around. Up to you."
I set the pitcher on the table and then reach for a cup on the hook. I look up to the alien as I pour, hinting at him to answer.
He stumbles," Right, if that's ok with you. I'd hate to impose."
I wave him off," No worries. It's part of the gig living here. You aren't the first or the last alien I'll see around here. Though you are here very late." I sip from my cup, lounging against the counter.
"So sorry, It was very important. Otherwise, I would have waited until morning. I know how long humans sleep but I believe I got the math a bit wrong. Do you always sleep at night or every other day," He rambles. I smile into my cup, he's cute.
"Every night, though it's a give and take on what time of the night," I shrug," ten at night is one of those give and take times. I was actually heading to bed now."
He startles at the answer," Oh then I am so sorry! Please, don't let me keep you. I know how important sleep is for your kind."
I snicker," Don't be sorry. You will never find me passing up an opportunity to speak with an alien while in my PJs." He leans over and looks me from head to toe, eyes wide and mouth parted. Am I being checked out right now? I poke a foot forward to show off my slippers.
"Well you look professional enough for me," He shrugs," you wouldn't mind keeping me company then?"
"It would truly be my pleasure," I hang at the end waiting for a name. He doesn't pick up on it. "I'm Liya, by the way," I prompt instead.
"Hello, Liya," he practically purrs," My name is Pavo L'tun'ku, 2nd in command of human relations aboard S.L. Quain."
"Oh, I didn't know we were doing all that," I half tease. I straight up, setting my cup down," I am Liya Woodard, in charge of the distribution of goods across the entirety of the USA." I relax and reach for my cup with a smirk," How was that?"
He leans onto his forearms," Little too formal but I appreciate the effort."
"Oh hush, I was just coping you," I joke back.
We get to chatting for a bit before my brother makes his way home. Pavo goes regal at his entrance, as does my brother. It's like watching someone talk to the president. I could almost see the red tape go up for appropriate interspecies conversation that aligns with government protocol.
"Woodard," Pavo greets," Excuse this interruption but your expertise is needed. There is an issue regarding a certain rebel group at one of our events."
"Very well," Thomas answers all professional, it almost makes me laugh, " give me just a moment to change and we will leave post haste."
Thomas scoots past and quickly bolts up the steps. I look over to Pavo who has relaxed a little.
"Excuse this interruption but your expertise is needed," I mock Pavo, even standing the way he did. He glares over at me half-heartedly.
"Shut up," He smiles. I laugh.
Thomas is quick, already downstairs before I can chat with Pavo a little more. To my dismay. Thomas grabs his keys from the hook and looks back at me.
"I'll be back tomorrow, Uh," He looks around," Be good?"
"Be good? You be good," I scoff. He rolls his eyes before heading for the door. Pavo looks around and then points at me.
"Be good," he mimics Thomas.
"See you around, Pavo," I tiredly wave. He gives me a big ole alien smile full of teeth before heading out. I smile to myself, feeling a little giddy. I head to bed, not before thinking back.
He really was cute.
It's a while before I hear anything of Pavo. It's surprising when I do hear about him through my brother. We are sitting in for dinner, which is rare, and we are discussing our day when he pauses and glares at me.
Pointing his fork at me he says," You ruined my professional relationship!"
I gawk, pointing at myself in question.
"Yes, you," he chuckles," Pavo won't shut up about you."
I jokingly twirl my hair as I lean forward on the table, "Do you, like, think that he, like, likes me?" I say in my best high schooler voice.
"ew,," he cringes, reaching over and stealing from my plate," For making me hear that."
"rude," I answer, missing stealing back my food by a hair," So what's up with Pavo, why is he bugging you?"
He sighs," It's every day. He thinks he is being casual about it but the man is super obvious. I don't know what voodoo you put on him but the guy is smitten. Before I tell him anything I wanted to make sure you are cool with meeting him again."
I snicker," is big brother setting me up on a date?"
He fake gags," Disgusting. Horrific, downright awful. Consider it this way, I'm trying to keep Pavo out of my office so I can work."
"and keep him in my pants, got it," I nod. He pretends to vomit, though it looks very convincing.
"Nope, conversation over," He stacks up his dishes and heads to the kitchen," This never happened!"
I bite back a laugh," I appreciate you butting into my love life but I'd appreciate if you didn't"
"Well keep your love life out of my office," He yells back. He comes back into the dining room, holding the doorframe. "He is coming over tomorrow for a meeting, and he may have some extra time because he is getting here an hour early because I may or may not have given him the wrong time. I'm not saying I did, but you do owe me two tickets for my movie date next week with Rebecca."
I sigh," Send me the info and I'll get it to you." I want to argue but the idea of seeing Pavo again is too grand.
"Nice, you have dishes right," He runs off before I can answer," Thank you!"
Such a putz, but I can't focus on that. It seems I have a mini-date tomorrow.
I dress midway between casual and date night. It was a very hard combo to pull off but I'm working with the 'hot but cool' angle. However, none of this could matter because he is an alien who hasn't a clue what is considered "trying to look cute" flirting is. Ugh, this is hard.
I wait in the living room, trying to seem as relaxed as possible. I even practice little greetings in my head like an idiot. Thomas comes down the stairs in his service uniform, looking proper. It is interesting to think this wild teenager could grow up to be this proper young man, helping lead the charge in cross-universe communication with alien life.
"Hey, dipshit, he will be over in 10, stop looking so tense," He leans over the back of the couch and boops my nose.
Well, almost a proper young man.
The doorbell rings shortly after, and Thomas answers. I can hear Pavo from the living room and I can't help but get all giddy. I scold myself for the reaction, I had one conversation with the guy! Relax!
As I hear their voices near I stand from the couch, regretting the choice immediately. Stand when guests are over? It's not even technically my guest, but I guess it's polite.
Pavo rounds the corner and is now in sight. In the daylight, I can tell his body isn't black but a very dark purple. He doesn't have skin but a carapace, a hard shell protecting his body. He is very bug-like though he lacks any pinchers or antennae. His face is human-ish, his eyes are large, and his wide mouth. Spikes go along the back of his body, coming from his head and back. They are short but some stretch out long enough to bend and crick in different ways. It's almost like branches.
When Pavo sees me he pauses, eyes wide and a smile up his cheeks. He looks me over and with a jolt his spikes elongate, nearly catching Thomas in the face.
"Whoa," Thomas yelps.
"Hello again, Liya," Pavo greets, ignoring Thomas.
"Hello Pavo," I answer back," Long time no see."
"Long time indeed, I see you have upgraded from professional sleepwear," He teases.
"This old thing," I shrug," I think my oversized t-shirt works a bit better but I was told I may be entertaining guests today."
"you wouldn't mean me, would you," He asks, leaning against the couch. Behind him, I can see my brother miming choking, then pretending to stab himself with a knife. The drama queen.
"I'm going to set up," Thomas interjects into our conversation," Feel free to anything you want in the kitchen, just ask my sister here."
Pavo straightens," Oh, yes, thank you."
Thomas leaves us to our own devices, it feels like our chaperone left. I look Pavo over, watching the sun gleam off his shell. His uniform is interesting, bright white.
"Would you care for a drink," I break the silence.
"Yes please," He steps closer. I lead the way into the kitchen.
"Anything you want? I really don't know what would be edible for you," I ask, cringing a bit at the delivery.
"I was incredibly curious about the drink you had the other night, it smelled sweet," He answers, pointing to the fridge.
"Sweet tea," I ask, though it's pointless. How would he know the answer? "Let me grab you a little sample. Though a fair warning, it's incredibly sweet. Practically icing."
"Oh, even better," he takes a seat at the island as I grab a drink," I've been lured in with your human sugar. It's been incredible. I had those, umm, what's the name? The small brown bars with a wafer inside."
"Kit-kat or Twix," I ask as I pour a small glass. ," I ask
He clicks deep in his throat," Yes, that's it! The Kit bar." He grabs the glass I push to him, taking a small gulp timidly. In a moment he shoots back the whole thing. Setting the glass down he closes his eyes and savors the sweet syrup.
"Like it," I ask.
"Love it," He grins. Slowly opening his eyes he nudges the glass forward, "More, please?"
We chat a little between cups of tea, him chugging the rest of my full pitcher. He tells me about his home that he hasn't seen in years. I tell him about my life at college before I got my job. It's pleasant. If I didn't know any better though, I'd say his spikes we growing. About an hour later they had grown a few inches, making him look large and intimidating. Like some sort of tree monster outside my childhood window. Though that one was just an old oak while this one is a charming alien.
Thomas steals him away, not before Pavo extends an invite to his ship sometime. Invited onto an alien's ship, that sounds like a great start to some interspecies relations.
Thomas had managed to set up communication between Pavo and me. We chat on some app Thomas downloaded onto my phone. It's wonky and not the best but what's a girl to do? Pavo and I flirt a bit, though it never goes any deeper. Despite my best attempts, he just doesn't get into anything more sexual. I could be pushing too hard or their species just doesn't work that way. Maybe he doesn't even have sex?
Today though is the day to finally get on his ship. All the approval has been submitted- thank you, Thomas- and we begin a tour of his home away from home.
We meet at the airlock between his ship and the Space Hub for Earth. I'm escorted by some officers and we all greet each other on the bridge. When I see Pavo we both light up. His back branches are stretched out, looking truly like a tree now. He jerks a little as his spikes snap outwards tearing some of his uniform in the process. The officer next to me winces at the crack sound that comes softly from him. Almost like the quiet sound of someone popping their fingers.
"Hello, Liya," Pavo greets, grabbing my hand and giving a firm shake," I believe this is correct."
I shake his hand back," Little formal for friends but it works for now."
"Friends," he asks," are we friends?"
"For the time being," I hint. He smiles before greeting the two flanking me.
With that out of the way, I'm free to venture into the unknown. I feel like a pioneer, one of the few to venture into an alien's ship. I'm sure sometime in the future there will be museums for this sort of thing. 'Explore space right from earth' sign over a decommissioned spaceship. I chuckle to myself.
Pavo eagerly shows me around, explaining how this was his own personal ship that only a few of the higher-ups get. It attaches comfortably to the main HQ but can detach for personal exploration, pretty much an RV for space. A really spacious RV.
He shows me the dining room, the living space, the exercise room, and we pass by his bedroom. We don't look in as it's casually mentioned.
As we walk down the halls I slow back to catch a look at his back, all the spikey branches protruding out. I feel tempted to reach out and touch but worry about being taboo.
"Hey," I say instead," what's with the spikes?"
He pauses, glancing over his shoulder at me and then at his branches," Oh theses? It's kind of hard to explain."
"They aren't like, some puberty thing, right," I tease.
"No, nothing like that. It's normal given the circumstances," He answers.
"Well puberty is completely normal," I joke. He shakes his head at me, beginning to walk again.
"Come, I want to show you something." I follow him down the winding halls to a room we haven't seen yet. He enters a command and the doors open. I walk inside, eager to explore this new space. Though I'm let down. I look this way and that, seeing nothing of interest. Really nothing of anything. It's just a large open room. There is a large window that stretches from the floor past the ceiling. It's gorgeous, being able to see Earth just coming into view.
"Oh wow," I whisper. I walk ahead, completely enamored with the view. The stars are so plentiful, Earth is so big. I can see the swirls of clouds over the continents, the white of the Arctic, the blue of the sea. It's all so humbling, I feel so small.
I hear some clicks behind me, and before I can investigate I feel my stomach drop. Weightlessness overtakes me, my feet slowly rising above the ground. I twist to look over at Pavo who is also floating.
"Zero gravity room, though the whole ship could be zero gravity. This room is made specifically for that," Pavo answers. He twists to push off the wall and launch towards me. I can't stop the giggle bubbling out of me as he gets closer. Before he can reach me I push up towards the ceiling. He thuds against the window, growling playfully.
"why does someone need a zero gravity room," I ask as we continue our game of chase. He jumps up to me and I quickly pick a direction and throw myself to it. I bang against the door oh so gracefully.
"It's for health and pleasure," He answers," we spend some time in water, our body is used to a certain level of weightlessness. Though space has way less gravity than water, it still feels similar. So in an easier way of explaining it, it feels like home."
Pavo scrambles to get to where I am, scratching against the wall to stop his momentum when I high-tail it in the other direction.
"Homesick room, how cute," I tease. I get trapped in the corner of the room, the only way out is up. As I spring upwards, Pavo catches me. I'm held tightly against his hard body, laughing with him as we float to the ceiling.
"Got you," He smiles triumphantly.
"that is true, but the real question is...what are you going to do with me," I flirt. He purrs at the insinuation, leaning down to brush his head against mine. I close my eyes and take a leap, kissing him ever so softly. He pauses, confused but excited. He makes his own attempt at a kiss, pressing his mouth to mine stiffly.
"Is that correct," He asks.
"relax a little," I advise. Wrapping my arms around his neck, nestling them around his branches, I kiss him like I mean it. He kisses less stiffly than before, though he can't help being so hard. His arms fall from my back to around the back of my thighs. He squeezes and massages my thick legs, pulling me closer.
"you're so soft," he groans into my mouth," so pliant."
"Don't make it sound so bad," I joke. His chest rumbles, his back spikes pop, a low clicking sound emits from his mouth. He reaches behind me and anchors us to the wall before he attacks my mouth again. I give him a little treat, sliding my tongue on to lick him. He stumbles a bit, recovering quickly to nearly choke me with his tongue. I have to lean back to catch my breath, though the thrumming in my body proves how much I enjoyed that.
No longer having access to the new toy called my mouth he begins attacking my neck. I can hardly keep my eyes open as I'm seduced by this big alien. I scratch at his back, gripping onto his branch. He responds by biting me, a little harder than needed. I grab the spike from his head to yank him back.
"Soft skin, remember," I scold. He looks drunk, his eyes lidded and mouth open. He looks me over, squeezing my legs again.
"By the heavens, I want to devour you," he whines. A zap goes down my spine in fear and pleasure.
"Not literally, right," I ask just in case. He doesn't answer, instead flopping his head down to bite up my neck. He sneaks a hand between us to stretch my shirt. I hear the thread snap as he stretches the collar over my shoulder. His entire mouth slobbers over me, sucking and licking every bit of skin. I glance behind him, seeing the branches have stretched out into the room. The few close to the wall have begun to take root, spreading out around the wall like vines.
Well, that's interesting.
Pavo bites a bit hard again to my dismay, I can feel a few of his teeth pierce my skin. With a yelp, I tear him back to properly scold him. He looks debauched, utterly drunk and horny.
"whoa," I gasp," you ok?"
His head tilts to the side in answer, "Get your clothes off."
I hesitate," But are you ok?"
He growls," I will be when you get your clothes off."
"Geez," I begin taking my shirt off," so pushy."
He scoffs," so slow." He begins to unbutton his clothes, finding it hard to do as his body is anchored to the wall. He yanks, detaching the vines from the metal. As he yanks his shirt, tearing it completely off his back, the branches begin reaching out to the wall again, gluing themselves once more.
I'm working my pants off when he grabs me, my jeans barely hanging onto one ankle. His torn shirt drifts upwards past us. I look down between us, his pants mostly torn. His cock surprises me, not prepared to see him in all his glory. Holding himself I can't help admire.
There is no way else to say it, his dick is a tentacle. It seems like a few spiraled around each other like yarn to present as one single mass. It's pink and purple, a kind of spray paint space vibe. He squeezes himself, fluid leaking from between each tentacle. It coats his hand, drops drifting off in the zero Gs.
"whoa," I whisper, reaching out to him. He proudly presents, his chest rumbling and mouth clicking. I gently graze my fingers over him, letting a few floating drops land on my outstretched hand. He jerks a little at the feather touch, grabbing my hand and forcing me to hold him. My stomach does flips, he is so soft and squishy. It's like touching a thick cord of fabric, soft but just firm enough to hold shape. I squeeze, wringing out more drops as I pull to the tip. He purrs, his back branches reaching out more and making his body jerk.
Too fascinated with him I don't even notice when he moves his hand into my underwear. His other hand fondling my breast, though they don't keep his attention much as the slickness below. He investigates, poking and prodding as I investigate him. Everything is so different for us both, it's all so tantalizing.
"you're so warm," he groans, reaching in to shove a finger inside. I shudder.
"you're so soft," I squeeze him, relishing in the sounds he makes. I can't help but reach for a kiss, just basking in all the sensations and sounds. His fingers squelch as he puts two into me.
"you're going to take me so well," he nearly whispers," I couldn't imagine someone more perfect."
I kiss him again," you flirt." I squeeze his cock. His fingers stretch and glide, making the coil in my belly tighten and twitch. If only he would touch me where I need him. I buck my hips into him, whimpering against his lips. I forget he isn't a human man, someone who could potentially get the hint. Instead, I reach down and grab his hand. He freezes. I slide his fingers out of me, another shudder going up my back, and guide one of his fingers up. He barely grazes me and it's like lightning.
"What's this," He asks, abandoning my mouth to look between us. I squeeze him in defiance, he grunts.
"Touch me there," I whimper," please."
He needs no more instructions, stroking me timidly before gaining confidence. He is a changed man now, watching me whine and moan as he gets me off. He is enraptured with me, watching and waiting. I can't focus as my inside feels like electricity, like sparks coming from his hand. More. More. More. I'm almost there. I hold onto him, using him as an anchor as he keeps playing me like a fiddle. My legs wrap around his, like snakes intertwined. Just a little more. His cold carapace against my feet, his rumbling purr and clicks, the way he just wants to make me cum. It's all so much.
"Pavo," I yelp," oh, fuck."
I'm gone. I fall into bliss, debauched as he was a moment ago. I scratch at his body, not worried about hurting him. I curl into him, reaching between us to stop his ministration as they become too much. I bang my head into his shoulder, holding him for dear life. He grabs my hair, pulling me back just to watch.
"Beautiful," He grins so wide. I give a half-hearted smile, still lost to the wind. I don't notice when he adjusts me to himself, but I definitely notice when he is poking at my entrance. I sober, looking down as his cock unfurrows. The little appendages search around, grabbing at my thighs and poking at my lips. I take a courageous breath, a little terrified of what's about to happen. He twists back into one, the ends still split to make their way into me.
I choke as he stuffs me, his cock twisting and curling, pulsing within me. I'm having sex with an alien, the thought hits me like a ton of bricks. I look from the display that has disappeared inside me to the creature I've decided to lay with. He looks so beautiful. He can't focus, his mouth opening and closing as the clicking sounds more like pops. He damn near gurgles as his eyes close. He snaps his hips, both of us stuttering on a breath. I twine my arms around him and he wastes no time pressing me close. He cradles the back of my head, his other arm securely around my lower back.
Without a starting pistol, he is off. Completely secure in place he pounds into me like a desperate man, angling my hips with his arm on my back. I can do nothing but hold on, groaning in his ear. I get to watch the branches on his back snap and jolt outwards. Every single one finds purchase on the walls. They take root, running up and around the walls until they meet each other, making a beautiful lattice on the walls.
"Wow," I gasp between moans. He answers with a pained grunt, burying his head into my neck. His mouth opens to attempt to bite but he thinks better of it, instead sucking on my neck. I appreciate the forethought. He whimpers and whines, every most the lost whore beside my ear. It's a pleasure in itself to have someone so lost in you, so pleasured by your body. I hold him tighter
"Agh," he gurgles. He begins to speak in tongues, the words ever lost to me but the meaning coming through. He is fucked, coming to his end, and only at the mercy of his whims now. Oh, I want him to cum, I wanna feel it.
I snuggle into the side of his neck, the plates shifting as he twists his head away. I find a soft area just below his jaw, right below his ear. I find purchase and bite as hard as I can. He screams, the branches on his back bucking as they dramatically grow. I worry I've hurt him, I was only returning the favor. I pull away, feeling sorry for myself. He growls in answer, punishing me with a hard slam onto his cock. He pushes me back to his neck.
"Harder," he growls through clenched teeth," make it hurt."
Oh my.
I cozy up to him again, finding the same teeth indent I left before, and chomp down. He shouts again, more words I can't interpret. I bite hard, I bite until I hear his plates crack and my teeth sink into the soft part of his skin. He shudders, curling around me and pumping into me in quick bursts.
"Yes," he says like a prayer. Before I know it I feel him shake and sputter, gurgling again as he snaps into me one more time. It's warm and plentiful, I'm sure it's a mess below. Zero gravity surely making it look like a spectacle. Pavo holds me so dear, so spent.
I slowly pry my teeth from his neck, spitting out a few little bits of carapace. Ew. I lean back to look into my new lover's eyes. He barely moves, looking like he passed out. I grab the short spikes on his head, lifting him to look at me.
"Pavo," I panic," is this normal? I haven't a single clue."
He answers with a gurgle. Not helpful. I try to wiggle away from him but I can't move. I look around and see we are cocooned in a growing ball of branches.
"What," I ask as I look around. I try to wiggle out of his arms but he holds on. Tight for someone who is basically asleep. I panic, fighting hard against his grip. Only succeeding in moving up him a few inches.
"Pavo," I snap," let me out."
He groans, happy to just float in this weird ball of his own making.
"Pavo," I shout. His face pinches.
"Hush," he finally speaks," be still."
"Be still? How do you expect me to do that right now? I'm covered in cum, and my sweat is bubbling off of me. I'd like to experience gravity again," I snap. He finally opens his eyes, glaring at me. I glare back. He relents, shifting his arms with great effort. I wiggle away from him, floating up. I navigate around his branches, finding my way to the door. I pause at the controls.
"Press the orange one," Pavo says helpfully. I press the orange button. I fall to my feet, my legs giving out. Then there is a loud sound of cracking like a tree falling. I look up to see Pavo falling from his fort. All the branches snap and break apart from the weight of themselves. He falls onto his back, the ball crashing around him though the fall isn't so loud. More like Styrofoam hitting the floor.
"Ow, "Pavo deadpans. I can't help but laugh. I get to my feet and walk over to him, picking up my pants along the way. Sliding them on I crouch beside him, picking up one of the branches. It's surprisingly light.
"What are these," I ask, turning it every which way. It's porous, with little holes that are barely noticeable.
"My anchors," he answers," it's a whole thing."
"Is it for what we just did," I ask. He shrugs.
" mostly. Though it's not exclusively. Just makes a lot of things easier in the water," he answers.
"Like sex?"
He grins to himself, "Yes, like sex."
I clear a space beside him, lying down to look at the portion of the window that covers the ceiling.
"I have some more questions," I say as I clasp my hands on my stomach. He lazily raises a hand and flourishes to make me continue. "Explain the branches, please."
He sighs," It's mostly a sex thing. When we first met I was immediately enamored. I couldn't stop thinking about you. Then I saw you and I couldn't stop myself. I wanted you. So my spikes got ready. My species loves the spikes, it's a whole fertility thing. I was showing them off, looking all big for you."
"You were flirting with the tree branches coming out your back," I joke.
"Sure," he laughs," I knew I had to have you. I never knew it would be like that! I made a nest for you and everything. I wish someone told me it would be so...everything"
"Talking like a virgin," I poke. He doesn't laugh. I look over and he is serious. I sit up," are- were you a virgin?"
He winces," define virgin."
I bolt up, standing and pacing the room. "Oh my god, I took your virginity! I took an ALIEN'S virginity?"
Pavo sits up, stopping me with a hand on my ankle. "Why are you so freaked out?"
"Freaked out? I'm just surprised and I totally did you dirty. If I knew it was your first time I would have made it more romantic. I mean who would guess you were a virgin," I drop my head in my hands, shaking from side to side.
"Well it's to be expected," he shrugs," we only have one person we do it with."
My heart stops, "what?"
"My kind mates for life, I mean most aliens do. It's a survival thing. Doesn't your kind," he asks.
"No," I basically screech, " we do not do that! If we did, definitely not after like 2 dates!"
He stumbles on his thoughts, his face pinching inquisitively.
"I could have sworn you guys mated for life," he collapses on his back," what would you like to do now?"
I ponder that for a moment. What is there to do? He just committed himself to me forever. I have the option to leave but that just screws him over. Also, I still like the idiot.
I groan, walking over and lying down beside him.
"You better pray this will just be a funny story we tell people when we get old," I grumble.
"Don't be so dramatic, everything will be fine," he tugs me closer.
"It better," I cozy into his side," all that's left is telling my brother."
Pavo barks a laugh," I can't imagine the paperwork he has for this!"

Celestrian Masterlist
I have some fittingly angelic OC's that I wanted to give a DQIX AU, so I looked through the wiki + double-checked some stuff of my own accord and felt like sharing it here too - this list will be updated as I replay through the game and do things like "counting every single Celestrian found in game" and similar fascinating tasks. This list will likely contain spoilers, as well as the birds each of the constellations the Celestrians are named after are associated with. NON-GUARDIANS: - Apus Major, leader and eldest of the Celestrians. His bird is a bird of paradise :) - Columba, presumably a librarian. Her bird is a dove. Seems to have been familiar with Corvus previously, and is close with Aquila now - Aquila, former Guardian of Angel Falls, twin brother of Pavo, the protagonist's mentor and former apprentice of Corvus. His bird is the eagle. - Pavo, the one who opens and closes the Rapportal and allows the player to use the multiplayer function. The only Celestrian to live in the Protectorate, and (younger) twin sister of Aquila. Her bird is the peacock. GUARDIANS: - You! :) Angel Falls is all yours - Tucana, one of two Guardians of Stornway. Their bird is the toucan! - Cygnus, the other of the two Guardians of Stornway. Their bird is the swan. - Vultur, Guardian of Gleeba. Their bird is, as one might guess, the vulture. - Noctua, Guardian of Swinedimples Academy. Fittingly, their bird is an owl. - Corvus, the sort-of-sort-of-not Guardian of Wormwood Creek. His bird is the crow.
OTHER GUARDIAN STATUES: - Zere - noted to be crumbling and broken. I'd assume this is because the villagers treat the tree at the centre of the village as a guardian instead. - Coffinwell - two statues, actually, but no names - Alltrades Abbey - weirdly, none. There is a statue behind Abbot Jack, but I think that looks more like Celestria, personally. Noting it regardless! - Zere Rocks - has a statue, but given the context of how it was made there's no way to know if it would even have a Guardian to go with it. - Bloomingdale - statue, no name This leaves us with Porth Llaffan (which worships Leviathan over the Celestrians), Slurry Quay, Dourbridge, Batsureg (nomadic, might not have statues because of this) and Upover (which has Greygnarl) without statues, but not necessarily without Guardians. I also made a point of checking Gerzuun (which does have a church, notably, and the bodura grass as a thing to worship) and Brigadoom, but couldn't find any there either. Beyond that, all Celestrians are unnamed (I'll get to how many of those there are later!). That being said, there are actually two major bird related constellations left (that I could find with some very surface level research) that aren't used as names within the game. Namely Grus (crane) and Phoenix (self-explanatory). I like to think that Phoenix would be a good fit for Alltrades Abbey, given the association with rebirth, though I'm still figuring out where I personally would place Grus. (I also think that Phoenix would be a very interesting fit for Brigadoom or Zere, Rocks or otherwise, for similar reasons) That being said, since most of the constellation names for birds are also just their genuses, it's pretty easy to find a number of canon compliant names that will fit right in should you choose to make your own :) happy questing !

How Kaeya and Kokomi's mysterious pasts can come back to haunt them
Cross-posting from HoYoLab. If you enjoyed this post, please give me a like there!
Disclaimer: Spoilers for the 3.8 flagship event, Secret Summer Paradise.
Just An Ordinary Human
In an exchange between Klee and Kokomi, the young girl asks her new friend a funny question.
To which Kokomi has a perfectly reasonable answer.
So that sets the record straight, right? Kokomi is nothing but a normal human. Nothing special about her!
Not quite!
Foreshadowing is defined as "an indication of what is to come" in works of literature and media. Foreshadowing doesn't have to be a positive assertion to a plot line coming up later - it can also pose a question that will be addressed down the road.
Klee pointing at Kokomi's mermaid-like design elements and asking her if she's a fish isn't meant to make the player ask this same question literally. What it is meant to do is have us question, "Is Kokomi just an ordinary human?" She may not be a fish or mermaid, but there are other forces at play from Enkanomiya, her ancestral home, that we can look into.
Just A Calvary Captain
The characters in Genshin Impact aren't always upfront about who they are or their origins. A prime example of this is the Traveler themselves - they are not forthcoming to Paimon, their closest traveling companion, about how and why they came to Teyvat, their origins, and the powers they have.
This means we can't always take what a character says at face value. The uncertainty and subsequent questioning is meant to heighten suspicion and excitement for later reveals.
One such character who has had much of this foreshadowing about their origins and motivations is Kaeya Alberich, who conveniently also happened to be featured in this event. As one of the four starter characters, we've known about Kaeya's mysterious foreshadowing since the beginning of the game. This is in reference to his origins in Khaenri'ah and Mona's voiceline, About Kaeya.
Kaeya Alberich? He's a Pavo Ocellus. Destined for greatness and grandeur... and to hide ugly realities behind a layer of charm and elegance. He believes he has made a clean break with his past, but one day fate will catch up with him. When it does, he will have a major decision to make.
This led to fans speculating that he is Khaenri'an royalty, a lost prince because of his dad's line "You are our last hope" though we eventually found out in the 2.8 Hidden Strife event that the Alberich clan were more like retainers to King Irmin.
"Remember always that it was the Alberich Clan, who did not have royal blood, who stepped in as regents when the strength of the one-eyed king Irmin failed. Though we could not restore Khaenri'ah to life, we of the Alberich Clan should lead lives as those who blaze like fire, rather than those who wallow in the embers."
And despite fan theories speculating that Kaeya may betray Mondstadt due to his allegiance with Khaenri'ah, the game seems to point toward the opposite. If the remnants of Khaeri'ah are the Abyss Order, led by the Abyss Princess/Prince, then Kaeya is likely to side with his immediate home and family.
We see yet another hint of this in the ongoing event in his exchange with Collei.
Her hesitance is echoing that of the players' who wonder if Kaeya is a double agent working against Mondstadt's interests. But Kaeya's response foreshadows his choice in that prophesized choice he will have to make, mentioned by Mona.
We already know from Kaeya's character stories that he will drink and mingle with Treasure Hoarders to get intel for the Knights of Favonius, and it's hinted in Part 9, Crash Course, of the Archon Quest Prologue: Act I - The Outlander Who Caught The Wind that he can speak the Abyssal language to communicate with Abyss Mages.
This, and his exchange with Zosimos after the performance of his play, teases his possible double agent status.
The implication here is that Kaeya is putting up a front and acting out a part in our interactions with him. However, as has already been established, it seems less and less likely that Kaeya would betray his friends and home. Rather, he may be able to leverage his status as inheritor of the Khaeri'an royalty to put up a resistance to the Abyss Order alongside the Traveler. He gets to reclaim his homeland, while the Traveler can get their twin back.
Sleeping Dragon
Kokomi, much like Kaeya, is a descendant and heir of an ancient fallen kingdom, Enkanomiya. But is she a double agent? Is Enkanomiya foreshadowed to come back, like Khaenri'ah?
Not quite.
While Khaenri'ah was defined by being a godless nation ruled by human might alone, Enkanomiya has ties to before the creation of Teyvat as we know it and the Primordial One.
Before the Primordial One arrived to what would become Teyvat, it was ruled by the Seven Sovereigns, or dragons-lords. We've met one of the sovereigns, Apep, in Sumeru. Another of the seven dragon-lords was the Dragon of Water, who perished in its fight against the Primordial One.
Before it became known as Enkanomiya, the realm was called Byakuyakoku and was terrorized by Dragonheirs of the Depths or the creatures now called Bathysmal Vishaps. You're likely familiar with them.
Their name was changed once the people learned that the Dragonheirs feared light and could drive them away with their lanterns and artificial sun. From there they studied and experimented on the Vishaps and found that they are not only intelligent, but can communicate with each other and evolve.
It is in these experimental records that we learn of a prophecy.
Prophecy holds that the Dragon Sovereign of Water will be born in a human form. We must not let this thing happen in Enkanomiya.
The Byakuyakoku Collection, Vol 4
Following the fading of the Seven Sovereigns' power, a new generation of Sovereigns is presently being born. But now that the Bathysmal Vishaps have evolved in this manner, they have lost their purity. As such, the Dragon of Water will no longer be born from among their ranks. Prophecy holds that the new Dragon of Water will definitely descend in the form of a human.
Bolteater Bathysmal Vishap Hatchling description
This is where the theory that Kokomi is the prophesized Dragon of Water reborn stems from.
It does not matter that she says she is "just an ordinary human" because the prophecy states that the sovereign will be reborn as a human.
Her constellation also points to this.
The Latin name, Dracaena Somnolenta, translates to "sleeping dragon". Seems pretty straightforward.
What does it mean for Kokomi, Enkanomiya, and the story if she is indeed revealed to be the Dragon of Water? Will it have a resurgence like Khaenri'ah?
I don't believe so. The descendants of Enkanomiya now occupy Watatsumi Island in Inazuma. They no longer worship their dead god, Orobashi, who was slain by the Raiden Shogun, but live a somewhat independent existence on their island.
According to their local legends, Enkanomiya attempts to absorb the spirit of Watatsumi, which slowly bleaches and erodes the island's soil, turning it into an uninhabitable desert. This is why the Sangonomiya Shrine conducts the Watatsumi Mitama Omatsuri ritual that purifies the waters and soil. If this fails, the phenomena could disturb the Vishaps that lurk deep in the depths below.
If, for whatever reason, these rituals fail and the ancient Vishaps invade the surface, who better to stop them, even command them, than the reborn Dragon of Water?
The power of water is its ability to take any shape...
It's no coincidence that Kaeya and Kokomi are two of the characters featured in Secret Summer Paradise. Not only are they both heirs of fallen nations, but the event itself touches on the theme of hidden/secret identities.
This is exemplified by the main NPC, Idyia.
While she first appears as "just a normal human" we learn in Act III - Dreams and First Encounters! that her human appearance hides her true form, that of an Oceanid.
Idyia's reveal reflects what fans expect for Kaeya and Kokomi.
She is exiled from her homeland, Fontaine. While the nation still exists, it can be said that it is not the same as when the former Hydro Archon, Lord Amrita, ruled and thus has fallen in that sense. Idyia now resides in a foreign nation and hides her true origins and form.
The extra connection between Idyia and Kokomi is the affinity for the Hydro element, which is associated with transformation, illusions, and dreams.
In Conclusion
What can we take away from all this?
The characters aren't always reliable narrators. They can lie to us, just like the Traveler can withhold information.
Things are not always as they seem, so believe only that which your eyes show you... these themes will undoubtedly be expanded upon in Fontaine, the nation of Justice and the courtroom.
Heads may roll.

Hello! For the october-themed asks-
☕ coffee or tea: describe your OC’s favorite place to relax.
👻 ghost: can you tease some wip ideas that have been haunting you/something you want to write in the future?
Thank you for the ask! From the October themed asks here.
coffee (for Khemor it is always coffee!): His favorite place to relax depends on what he is doing: after he has defeated Alduin and resigned himself to living out his years in Skyrim, he enjoys a good book (whether reading or writing it himself) in Hjerim. The southern windows let in a lot of light, and that allows him to get quite a lot of work done over the course of a day.
Calder and Gregor, his housecarls, think that writing and working is not relaxing, and would tell you that despite him being a huge homebody, Thane Khemor actually likes a ride out to the Aalto, with a soak in one of the mineral springs at the end of it. They help his joints and he always feels better for a week or two after having spent some time in them.
ghost: Oh man, I have so many. Here's one that I've been noodling around with. It would be in the same "Homeric Orcs universe" as Khemor's fics, even though it wouldn't touch on the same time period--
Kryptos: a fic following Pavo Attius and Gat gro-Shargakh through their induction into the Legion, their time stationed under Decianus in Hammerfell, and then through the outbreak and fighting of the Great War. There might also be story lines for other Great War veterans we know about: Runil, Brina Merilis, etc, and having them all encounter each other at various points in the story and eventually trace how they came to Skyrim after the war.

girl from mars | pavo (03)
chapter three is here !! before september is over holy cow!! as always, don't forget to check it out on ao3 as well :)
"So, what do you want to do today?" Dawn asks her, her glossy white eyes looking up at her from the couch. Amanda hands her a plate of pancakes, sitting down beside her and resting her feet on the coffee table.
"'Dunno. It's noon, I feel like it's too late to really do anything." She mumbled, taking a bite of her pancakes. "Do you wanna not do anything? Have a lazy day?" She proposes, to which Dawn nods eagerly. "Please. I'm so tired after yesterday. I know we didn't do anything active but like...going out in public." She groaned, which made Amanda smile. Thank god the two were on the same page because Amanda didn't think she could handle another eventful day.
Unfortunately, the universe had other plans.
"AMANDA!" A voice sings out as someone comes into the apartment, loudly shutting the door behind them. Amanda turns around, her eyes wide in shock as she realizes who it is. Plasma. Fuck, that's right, it's Sunday.
Every Sunday, Plasma and Amanda would get together and watch a musical- a tradition they had held for months without fail, that Amanda had forgotten about. In her defense, she had a hectic past few days!
Now, Plasma was standing in her apartment, face to face with an alien. Amanda and Dawn were frozen in place, their mouths dropped in shock. The three are silent, Plasma looking between the two confused.
"What? Sorry, did I interrupt something? Cool costume, by the way! Who are you dressed as?"
Amanda doesn't have time to process Plasma's words before she approaches the other girl, looking at her eyes and ears. Dawn leans back in surprise as Plasma looks her over, eyes taking in every detail.
"C-costume?" She stutters out.
"Yeah." She murmurs, taking Dawn's hand into hers, and examining it before she begins to shake it. "I'm Plasma, by the way. Since someone didn't bother to introduce us." She playfully rolled her eyes towards Amanda. "What body paint are you using? Ooh, I could use it for Halloween, maybe. It looks so realistic...like real skin."
"Because it is skin, Plaz." Amanda manages to speak up, "Give her some space, I don't want you scaring her."
She scoffed as she let go of Dawn's hand, "Please. I'm not scary, isn't that right? There's nothing wrong with being a little enthusiastic." Amanda rolls her eyes. Enthusiastic was putting it lightly. She can see Plasma processesing the rest of her words before looking at her quizzically. "What do you mean it's her skin?" She turns back to Dawn, "Did you like...dye it or something?"
Amanda sighs, looking at Dawn sympathetically. "No, this is Dawn, she's...she's an alien."
Plasma scoffs, "Okay, sure."
"I'm serious!" She protests as Plasma rolls her eyes.
"You're not fooling me again, Mandy. I'm smarter than tha-"
Her comment is cut short as Dawn taps her bracelet, a white flash of light fills the room and she reappears in her human form. Plasma's eyes are wide, filled with wonder as she looks at the other girl.
"You really are an alien!" She gasps, "Amanda, you didn't tell me you knew an alien!"
"Because I didn't until like, three days ago." She sighs, "She's staying with me while she fixes her ship."
Plasma gave a hum of approval before sitting down between the two on the couch.
"Cool. So, which musical are we watching today?"
"What?" Amanda asks, "That's it? You find out an alien is living with me that's all you ask?"
"Well, yeah. I'll bother her with questions some other time. But right now it's time for a musical- new alien or not I'm not breaking this tradition, and I'm on a time crunch today mama."
"What's a musical?" Dawn piped up, causing Plasma to dramatically gasp.
"Amanda, how have you NOT taught her about musicals? That settles it, we're watching Mamma Mia, it's a classic- you'll love it!"
"She's been here for like three days, I didn't have time!" Amanda exclaims, glancing apologetically at Dawn as Plasma takes the remote, clicking on the TV. Dawn only giggled in response, her attention then being commanded by Plasma as she gave her the rundown of what a musical was. Once Dawn had gotten the gist, Plasma started the movie.
-
As much as she loved musicals, Amanda didn't think she had been as entertained as watching Dawn watch a musical. Or, to be more precise, to watch Dawn pester Plasma during the entirety of one. She made several comments that would send Amanda into hysterics as Plasma went on a tirade in response, continuing for the whole movie. Once the credits rolled, Plasma looked at her expectantly.
"Well?"
"Well, what?" Dawn replied, taking a sip of her drink.
"Did you like it?"
Dawn shrugged. "It was fine. Not really my thing."
By the look on Plasma's face, you would have thought Dawn had set her family's house on fire and then spit on her. Amanda choked back a laugh at the look, watching as a sly smile appeared on Dawn's face.
"Fine? FINE? The legendary Meryl Streep was FINE!? How dare you, I think you need to get your ears and eyes checked. I think that crash landing fried your brain."
They began to bicker when Amanda's phone rung, excusing herself to her room, not that either of the other two noticed. She quietly shut the door before accepting the call, putting the phone up to her ear.
"Hey, Sapphira, what's up?"
"Saw you had fun at the mall yesterday," she could hear her chuckle on the other end of the line, "how's your little alien?"
"I told you she needed clothes! But she's good, she's adapting well. She met Plasma."
"Oh, god. Poor thing."
"I know, she said she didn't like Mamma Mia so now Plasma's chewing her ear off." She chuckled, still able to hear Plasma's voice through her closed door. How that girl could talk a mile a minute she couldn't understand.
"Oh, she's never going to hear the end of it. But anyways, I called to see if you remembered what I told you."
"What, that if I could prove she was an alien I didn't have to pay you back?"
"Yup," she said, popping the 'p', "well, I'd like to invite you two to dinner tonight at mine."
Amanda was silent for a moment, her thoughts turning in her mind. "I don't know. She's only been here for like, three days. I don't want to overwhelm her." Do aliens get overwhelmed? More importantly, does Dawn get overwhelmed? Probably, she didn't think aliens' emotions were that different from humans, but she wanted to be safe rather than sorry.
"I understand. It doesn't have to be today. It can be whenever she's ready."
"I'll ask her about it." It couldn't hurt to ask. It's not like Sapphira and Dawn wouldn't get along, Amanda knew they would. It might be nice for Dawn to start meeting more of her friends, then they could go out more together. She could see Dawn easily fitting right into their little group, the thought made her smile.
"I appreciate it. I can't wait to see you and ET." Amanda scoffed as Sapphira's laugh echoed through the phone. "Bye Amanda, take care of yourself, baby."
"Bye Saph, I will."
She clicked her phone off, running her fingers through her hair before she headed back out into the living room. Plasma and Dawn were still squabbling when she sat down on the couch, Plasma raving about the numbers and choreography while Dawn just shrugged her off.
"Have you two done nothing but argue since I've been gone?" Amanda chuckled, drawing the two's attention towards her.
"You were gone?"
Amanda rolled her eyes as Plasma continued.
"I was just explaining that her opinion is wrong." Plasma shrugged, checking her phone. "Anyways, I've gotta blast. What's your Instagram? We'll continue this later."
"What's Instagram?"
Plasma sent Amanda a scowl as she gathered up her belongings. "Shame on you Amanda, how am I supposed to indoctrinate her if I can't send her posts!"
"Oh my god, three days Plasma!" Amanda threw her hands up in defeat as Plasma cackled, settling for Dawn's phone number instead. She bid the two goodbye as she rushed off to who knows where, letting Dawn and Amanda go back to their lazy Sunday.
-
It didn't last long. They had just finished another episode of The Bachelor before Sapphira's proposition re-entered her mind. It was three and she knew the ride to Sapphira's was at least an hour. If they wanted to go, they'd have to start getting ready soon. She mulled it over for a few more seconds before she bit the bullet.
"So...you remember my friend Sapphira, right? The one I mentioned yesterday?"
"Oh, she gave me the phone and clothes, right?"
"Yeah, her. Well, she was wondering if you wanted to go to her house for dinner tonight. To like...meet you and stuff. I...kind of told her you were an alien so I could get you the stuff you needed. She said I didn't have to pay her back if it was true," she rambled, "Of course, we don't have to go if you don't want to, I know it's only been like three days and you've done a lot already, so I totally ge-"
"Sure. Sounds fun."
Amanda paused as Dawn interrupted her, her mind processing the words.
"Really?"
"'Course! I like your friends so far, when do we leave?"
"Probably at four, it's about an hour to get to her place. I'll probably start getting ready soon, it takes me forever to pick an outfit." She chuckled, quickly shooting off a text to Sapphira to confirm their attendance.
"Is it...fancy?"
Amanda shrugged, "Sapphira will say no, but it always feels like it's fancy. She lives in this gigantic penthouse, it's crazy." She chuckles, "I always feel underdressed, you'll love her though- she's great! She's very motherly."
Dawn nodded, following Amanda into the bedroom as she began to root through her closet.
"So how did you two meet?"
"We actually met through Megami. I grew up here, but we moved to Ohio when I was in middle school. After college, I moved back here. I was having trouble finding a job and an apartment though, so Megami introduced me to Sapphira. She liked me, so she helped me get a job and the apartment." She gestured to the space around them, pulling out a sparkly green dress. She considered it for a moment before putting it back. "I owe her a lot."
Dawn hummed, playing with Violet. "So what, she's some charitable millionaire?"
"If she likes you, yeah." She took out a red dress, putting it back immediately. "We're like a pretty close circle of friends, that's how I met Plasma, actually. I'm really grateful for it all, it gave me a group of friends when I first moved here. It made it easier to adjust back to the city."
"That sounds nice...do you think I'll get to meet everyone?"
"Definitely. Sorry not sorry, I'm dragging you to all of our hangouts now." Amanda smiled back at her, pulling out a shorter black dress. "What about this one? What do you think?"
"I like it! I think it contrasts your hair nicely."
Amanda smiled. "That's settled then."
-
They spent the next thirty minutes applying makeup, Amanda was fascinated by the bigger shapes and bright colors Dawn was using compared to the more neutrals she had chosen. Dawn had such a whimsical style, painting on freckles in the shape of stars with some white liner- Amanda thought it was the cutest thing in the world. Soon enough, the driver was outside and the girls had to hurry up and change.
Amanda stood in the living room, smoothing her dress down when she heard the bedroom door open, and out stepped Dawn. She was wearing a simple white lacy dress with a pastel rainbow cardigan over top. Amanda beamed when she saw her, offering out her hand to the other girl. They rushed down to the street, Amanda pulling them into the sleek black car Sapphira had sent for them.
"Oh wow, this is so nice...it's a car, right?" Amanda nodded. "It looks so different from the ones my professor had shown us."
Amanda chuckled, "That's not surprising. The music you knew was like 50 years old, I can't imagine the cars were any newer than that."
Their conversation flowed for the next hour as Amanda pointed out her favorite sights on the way to Sapphira's- the small shops she liked to go to and the extravagant buildings she wondered about as they got closer and closer to Sapphira's. The traffic gave them ample time for Amanda to explain social media and set up an Instagram account for Dawn (which Plasma immediately began to spam with memes).
Finally, they arrived outside Sapphira's enormous building. They hopped out and thanked the driver before scurrying inside the building. Amanda bid a 'hello' to the doorman she vaguely knew and they got into the elevator, quickly ascending to Sapphira's floor. Dawn wobbled as the elevator began to move, clutching onto Amanda. The other girl laughed, steadying her.
"Weird, right?"
"People willingly choose to ride in this?"
"Well, it's either that or like- fifty flights of stairs. This is one of the smoother ones, too."
Dawn groaned, tightening her grip on Amanda.
"I much prefer the teleportation on my planet." She grit her teeth as the elevator came to a halt, the doors swiftly opening to reveal a grand hallway, two double doors standing before them. They stepped out hand in hand, Amanda knocking on the large oak doors. They slowly opened, revealing Sapphira on the other side.
She was in a long deep blue dress studded with beautiful blue jewels, her curly black hair resting just above her shoulders. Her face lit up when she saw the two, rushing to hug Amanda.
"Amanda! How are you, baby? I've missed you!"
Amanda laughed as they pulled away, "I've been good, a bit busy but you knew that." Her eyes shifted over to Dawn, holding her hand out for the other girl to take.
"This is Dawn!"
Dawn sheepishly smiled as Amanda pulled her closer, waving to Sapphira.
"Hi baby, Amanda's told me so much about you!" She shook Dawn's hand. "Why don't you two come in, I just finished dinner. Do you like spaghetti, Dawn?"
"I like it well enough. But I haven't tried authentic Earth spaghetti."
"Well, you're in for a treat."
Sapphira led them through her house, through the extravagant hallways and more rooms than Amanda could count. Seriously, who needs that many rooms anyway? Eventually, they reached the kitchen, which was probably bigger than Amanda's entire apartment.
"We can use the smaller table, what would you two like to drink?"
"The smaller table?" Dawn whispered to her, her eyes shifting to the table inside the kitchen that could still probably sit eight people.
"She has a bigger one in her dining room. It sits like, thirty people." She whispered back, "I'll take some coke, what do you want Dawn?"
"Uhm...root beer? That's what it was called, right?"
They collected their drinks as they watched Sapphira finish plating the dishes. Amanda had forgotten how insanely good of a cook she was- the food looked beautiful. They made some small talk about Amanda's job and Sapphira's several investments before the girls each grabbed a plate, taking a seat at the table.
"So Dawn, how have you been enjoying Earth?" Sapphira asked her, taking a sip of her wine.
"It's been nice. Amanda's shown me a lot." She said, staring at the fork as she tried to pick up the spaghetti with it. Amanda showed her how to twirl it, Dawn murmuring a small 'thanks'. "We went to a mall. Are they all that big?"
"Not all of them, but everything seems to be bigger in New York."
"More compact though." Amanda chimed in.
"Right." Sapphira chuckled, "Everything's much more cramped."
Dawn nodded solemnly, Amanda figured she was probably thinking about their subway ride to the mall. The subway was sometimes overwhelming for her, she couldn't imagine what Dawn had probably felt.
"But I like it. Lots of places for me to get parts. For my ship." Dawn explained. "Cause it, uhm, crash landed. You know."
Sapphira nodded, "Amanda told me a bit about it. I'm glad she was the one who found you, Amanda's very kind. I can't say the same about others."
"Imagine if it was Plasma. You'd be stuck listening to show tunes forever." Amanda teased, laughing as Dawn grimaced.
"I couldn't survive that."
Sapphira cracked a smile, chuckling lowly. "She's very passionate, isn't she? I think you'll get along with her though, she isn't always musical theatre all the time. That reminds me, are you coming to our Halloween party? Has Amanda told you about it yet?"
Dawn shook her head no. "Halloween is like...the spooky candy holiday, right?"
"Yeah! Every Halloween we throw a big party for our friend group. This year, we're renting out the roller rink Mirage works at. It's gonna be a blast, you have to come!" Amanda excitedly says, looking at Dawn expectantly. Dawn cracks a smile at her, nodding excitedly.
"Have you figured out your costume yet?" Sapphira asked.
"No...it's kind of slipped my mind. I was thinking maybe Princess Diana? I don't know." Amanda hummed, picking at her spaghetti.
"You two could go as Elliott and ET," Sapphira suggested, Amanda chuckling.
"We could. That'd be fun." Dawn piped up, looking between the two.
"Do you know what ET looks like?" Sapphira asked her, her lips tugging at a smile as Dawn shook her head no. She took out her phone and pulled up a photo, showing it to the girl. Dawn's brow creased as she looked at the image, looking back up at Amanda with offense.
"THAT'S what you've been comparing me to?!"
Amanda tried her best to conceal her laughter as Dawn flipped the phone around, showing her the grey alien.
"This thing is hideous! Are you kidding me?!"
Amanda lost her cool, cackling at Dawn's reaction.
"But you're an alien!" She tried to defend herself.
"I'm not grey, Amanda."
"What color are you, then?" Sapphira asked between laughs.
A bright flash of light filled the room, and Dawn's true form was revealed. Sapphira's eyes widened at the sight, in awe of the girl before her.
"So it's true...fascinating. I didn't think aliens were real."
"We are! Ones who look nothing like that thing." She glared at Amanda.
"I'm sorry! It was just a funny reference! I don't think you actually look like a grey shriveled-up raisin." She tried to control her laughter, looking at Dawn pleadingly.
"Good. Apology accepted." Dawn huffed, handing Sapphira her phone back. Another flash of light and she was back to her human form, returning her attention to her food.
"Is it good? Better than your planet?" Sapphira asks her.
"Oh, leagues better. Spaghetti is much more...dry on my planet."
"So, what planet are you from anyway?"
"You all haven't discovered it yet. But...I guess it would be most similar to your planet Mars."
"Interesting..."
Sapphira asked her more about her family and culture, Dawn giving her a rundown of some of the things she had already told Amanda. Sapphira hung on to every word, intently nodding along. She leaned back after a while, seeming satisfied.
"I see. Thank you for indulging me, I appreciate it." She looked out one of the windows, the night sky now dark, dotted with lights from buildings. "Well, it's getting late- I should get you two back soon." Sapphira stood up, Amanda and Dawn following her to the door. "Thank you both for joining me. And Dawn- don't hesitate to call me if you need anything."
Dawn nodded, promising her she would before they made their way back to the elevator.
"Do you think she likes me?" Dawn murmured, gripping Amanda as the elevator began its descent.
"I think she loves you." Amanda chuckled, squeezing Dawn's arm. Dawn weakly smiled, leaning in closer to Amanda.
-
They were a half hour into the drive, Amanda had been watching the lights of the buildings as they passed by and Dawn had rested her head on Amanda's shoulder, quietly mumbling something Amanda couldn't make out.
"So much for a lazy Sunday, huh?" Amanda whispered to her, softly chuckling. Dawn didn't respond, so she shifted to properly look at the other girl. Dawn was sound asleep, her hair falling across her face as the car rattled on. Amanda softly smiled at her, brushing her hair behind her ear.
The rest of the ride was quiet, Amanda herself had to fight to stay awake. Soon enough, the car rolled to a halt outside of her apartment. She gently shook Dawn awake, guiding the other girl into the apartment. Violet greeted them, swerving in between their feet as Amanda led Dawn to the bedroom, letting her get ready for bed as Amanda pulled the couch out for her.
When she hadn't come out in a moment, Amanda gently knocked on the door. When she didn't receive a response, she cracked open the door to spot Dawn, passed out on top of her bed. Amanda softly smiled, quietly entering the room and approaching the bed. She gently lifted Dawn into her arms, the shorter girl seemed to instinctively curl in towards Amanda.
Amanda made her way back out towards the living room, gently placing Dawn down on the bed. She tucked the girl in, setting her phone on the charger. Amanda gently smiled as she watched the girl, her heart swelling. She bid the other girl goodnight, even if she wasn't conscious, and made her way back to her own room. She soon passed out soon after, the exhaustion from the day catching up to her.

prompt 13: butte
In the middle of the Yak T’el lowlands stands a high spire of unblemished stone, pointing at the sky like an accusing finger as if to say, You did this to us, how dare you! Pavo feels a certain kinship with it. Wak Chanil tells him that the tree at the top is sacred to the Xbr’aal and the stone itself is sacred to the Mamool Ja, but to the Viera of the Fallen Stars it is only stone and plants until night falls.
Until the stars come out.
That’s why they’re here now, so his cousin can point out the constellations. The stars are the same, but Tural sees different shapes in them, gives them different names. Even the Whispering Stars picked up new constellations after they sailed east on vast outrigger canoes. Pavo knows them all. But Wak Chanil tells him he should have known these too, and so they’re laying on their backs in a cradle of tree roots while she points out the Scorpion and the Distaff and the Jaguar. Their kaan k’uk—what Pavo would call alkonosts, and had thought were native to frozen Ilsabard—doze in a sleepy pile on the other side of the tree.
It’s...strange. Everything he’s gone through so far since meeting her has been strange. Kalju had told him to live and die for Dalmasca. He’s started to learn there’s more to life, but Wak Chanil doesn’t understand why that’s even a question. If he told her about Kalju, she’d be horrified.
He doesn’t tell her about Kalju. He listens to her recounting the stories of the stars instead. But eventually, the stories run out.
“You’ve gotten quieter since leaving Tuliyollal.”
His ears flick. He’d hoped she hadn’t noticed that. “There are fewer reasons to speak.”
She turns on her side and props herself up on her elbow. “Are you nervous about meeting the family?”
“I...” He’s not. Nervousness implies fear, and he’s not afraid. There’s sort of a flat numbness in his gut. He doesn’t know how to say that he’s used to being alone, that he’s had no one but Kalju since his thirteenth summer, and now he’ll be paraded in front of dozens of Viera who expect nothing of him other than to be there and be loved. “No. But—”
“Yeah?”
Damn, he hadn’t meant to say that, but there’s no taking it back now. “I’d feel better,” he says haltingly, “if I knew more about them.”
She grins at him, wild and bright. “Then I’ll tell you some more stories.”

Dainsleif put away his phone swiftly when he heard Childe’s footsteps heading for the living room. The ginger walked in front of the couch, standing between Dainsleif’s spread legs and still sulking over the fact that Kaeya had been gone for almost a month. He was wearing nothing but a white button-up that only covered the tops of his thighs, it was awfully familiar to Dainsleif.
“Is that… Kaeya’s shirt?”
“Yes, I miss him.”
“Just one more night, Taru.” Dainsleif pulled him to his lap and pressed a gentle kiss on his lips.
“I know, but you know…”
“I know.”
The fabric was loose around Childe’s shoulders, his leaner frame getting absorbed in it almost comically. Dainsleif buried his nose in the collar and was pleasantly surprised by the lingering scent, “Ah, smell it.” Childe lifted the collar up to his nose and closed his eyes, longing and yearning for their beloved partner, “Feels like he’s here.”
Dainsleif and Kaeya were both better at handling times spent apart, video calls and texts helped them relieve the heartache, but Childe was much more dependent on feeling their presence. He wanted to melt under their touch and hear their voices ring in his ears, he had a strong sense of smell and he hated that the remaining traces of Kaeya had slowly disappeared from the house the longer he was gone.
He took the clothes he used often on the work trip, and this was the only useful thing he had left behind. Childe kept smelling it as Dainsleif began to run his hands along the ginger’s thighs, he had a feeling that Childe was fully naked underneath. It took everything in him to keep their little secret, that Kaeya was returning in less than an hour and not tomorrow. Though, seeing Childe this needy was certainly a delight.
“Do you think he’ll like the gift?” the ginger rested his head On Dainsleif’s chest.
“Well, he has to agree to it first, but I’m pretty certain that he will.”
They had about six different presents prepared, excluding the surprise party for Kaeya’s birthday. But the one they were most excited about were the aphrodisiacs they ordered for the night of his birthday. They had spent about a week doing research and finding the best option and were absolutely ecstatic to see Kaeya ruined.
“Mhmm. Did you hide them well?”
“Yeah, I put it in with the birth control. You’re sweating.”
“Oh, is that why a few pills were loose?” Childe lifted his head and realized the drops of sweat dampening Dainsleif’s chest, “Shit, I really am.”
“No, I didn’t. The loose ones are the ones I bought for tomorrow.”
Childe paused, “Oh.”
“Did you…”
“I think I did, Dain.”
A moment of silence passed as they stared at each other before breaking out into laughter. “Well, do you feel any different?” Dainsleif asked. Childe evaluated how he felt while fanning his face, “I don’t think so? It’s just so hot in here.”
Dainsleif could also see that his cheeks were flushed, almost down to his neck. He deemed it an appropriate time to test out his theory and slid one hand under the shirt, caressing Childe’s bare skin. The ginger waited eagerly as Dainsleif’s fingers ran along his waist, thighs and hips before landing on his groin. Receiving no protest from Childe and only getting an expectant look, Dainsleif gently spread his lips and brushed one finger along, finding his boyfriend dripping wet already, “Hmm, do you think this is normal?”
Childe hissed, “Careful!”
“Why? Are you sensitive?”
“I a—Ah!—am. Stop making fun of me.”
“You make it too easy.” Dainsleif kept playing around, even his shallow movements were enough to make Childe moan.
“It’s your fault.”
“Poor Taru. How about I make it up to you?”
“You’d better.”
Dainsleif chuckled at the domineering yet coy tone, securing Childe by the waist and leaving soft strokes up and down his pussy. The ginger had already mellowed out, he slowly unbuttoned the shirt, no longer depraving the blonde of his toned body. Dainsleif gazed upon Childe hungrily as he dove in on his neck, passionate kisses turned into light bites, needy moans began to slip from the ginger’s lips.
Childe’s fingers started to pull on the soft blonde locks, he couldn’t help but gasp when Dainsleif’s movements got more focused around his sensitive clit. It felt like his heart was dropping all the way down to his stomach, he could feel the senses heighten on every single nerve ending, already he was struggling not to orgasm at the unchaste touches.
Dainsleif pulled away, staring at the marks he left along Childe’s pale skin splattered with freckles, “Now that you saw for yourself, do you think Kaeya will like it?” The ginger closed his eyes and rested his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder, “He’ll lose his fucking mind, Dain. This—feels insane.”
“Will you behave this well for him too?” Dainsleif slid one finger in, unprompted, Childe was clinging onto him desperately.
“Of c—course I will. Anything…for Kaeya.”
“Is that so?” Even in his hazy state, Childe would recognize this voice anywhere. He opened his eyes to the most beautiful sight he could ask for, Kaeya leaning over the door frame with a smug smirk.
“K—Kaeya?”
“Am I interrupting?” Kaeya walked over to the sofa and left a gentle peck on Dainsleif’s lips. “You’re back?!” Childe asked, still in disbelief, he got his kiss shortly after. “Hey, Kae.” Dainsleif greeted him rather normally, Childe evaluated how suspiciously calm the other two were, and quickly drew the conclusion that he wasn’t in on the surprise. He pouted at Dainsleif, “Hey! I cried twice today, you could’ve told me.”
The blonde chuckled as Kaeya sat next to them, playing with the half-worn white shirt, “Aww, poor baby. So your face is red from crying all day?” he teased.
“No…”
“He took some pills he wasn’t supposed to and now he’s horny.”
“Dain tricked me.”
“No I didn’t?!”
“Okay no he didn’t but he put it somewhere dumb.”
Kaeya asked with a serious expression, “Why do we have horny pills?”
“It’s an aphrodisiac, we got it for tomorrow as one of your presents, if you would agree of course.” Dainsleif answered as he began to play with Childe’s clit again, Kaeya was struck by how fast he responded, pupils already rolling back in delight, he couldn’t fight the urge to reach out and insert a finger.
“Let’s see if Ajax survives the night and then I’ll decide.” Kaeya jested as he sat next to Dainsleif and rested his head on the blonde’s neck, occasionally leaving gentle kisses as they played with Childe together. He held onto Dainsleif’s thigh with one hand and on Kaeya’s with the other, no longer able to hold himself in place. Instead he squirmed on the blonde’s lap, crying out and letting out incoherent sentences as he chased his sweet release.
Kaeya could feel his walls contract, tightening around his finger. He was amazed that just one finger and a few circles around his clit could get Childe this worked up, though he certainly was enjoying the view. It didn’t take long before the ginger groaned, orgasming with a tight grip on his boyfriends’ thighs.
Kaeya and Dainsleif retracted their hands to let him cool off, they left a trail of soothing kisses all over his face and upper body, but Childe didn’t seem to be riding out the high, he was still humping on Dainsleif, purring as if they were still touching him. “More…” he begged with a demanding look.
Kaeya stood up, he lifted Childe off of Dainsleif’s lap and into his arms as they made their way to the bedroom. They laid the ginger on the bed and stripped each other, making out with the excitement of being reunited, until of course, Childe grew impatient and whined to be taken care of. Kaeya pulled away to position himself between the ginger’s legs while Dainsleif sat on the bed beside his head, kissing his lips in reverse. Childe held his hips, attempting to pull the blonde towards himself, “Come, sit.” he cooed. “You sure?” Dainsleif asked, trying to hide his excitement while Kaeya slid two fingers inside with ease. “Y—fuck—yeah, I’m sure.” his back arched involuntarily. Childe felt insecure about his skills in the bedroom sometimes, Kaeya and Dainsleif both took great care of him, they genuinely didn’t mind that Childe was mostly on the receiving end.
He was comfortable as a bottom and he certainly looked very pretty laying on his back and moaning for his boyfriends, but sometimes, Childe wanted to make them scream the way they made him scream. Though this feeling usually stemmed from a place of selflessness, at the moment it was purely self-indulgent, because thinking of Dainsleif sitting on his face drove him absolutely rabid, he felt starved, incomplete without his tongue running inside the blonde.
Luckily, Dainsleif was on board, he sank down on Childe’s face, now facing Kaeya who was slowly pushing the tip of his dick inside. He cupped Dainsleif’s cheek as they both weighed on the ginger, he couldn’t help but notice the immediate change of expression on Dainsleif’s face. Childe had taken a deep breath before starting to ruthlessly eat him out, he didn’t pull away for air for a concerning amount of time. His fingernails were digging into the flesh of Dainsleif’s hips, deep and rough enough to bruise.
Kaeya caressed the blonde’s face and wiped the drool off the side of his mouth while thrusting into Childe. The ginger’s moans were muffled deep inside Dainsleif, creating vibrations that further drove him insane.
“Looks like he’s enjoying the meal.” Kaeya said with a smirk. Dainsleif’s exhales were shallow and fast-paced, “Fuck, slow down Taru.” he breathed out, but the ginger was persistent, forcing out all the orgasms he could, making Dainsleif’s knees weak as he writhed over him, leaning on Kaeya for support, crying and releasing onto Childe’s lips over and over again.
Childe was euphoric, back arching with the waves of pleasure Kaeya sent through his body as he feasted on Dainsleif. He drained the blonde for all he had and then pulled away slowly. Dainsleif laid back to gain some composure, he watched Kaeya’s thrusts get more violent second by second, leaving Childe speechless, and Dainsleif hungry to rail him as well. He reached for the drawer, taking out the strap and securing it around himself.
Kaeya’s eyes darkened, he lifted Childe on his knees and turned him around, the ginger chirped with excitement at the sight of Dainsleif. “Oh, you want two, don’t you?” Kaeya whispered in his ear from behind. Childe nodded eagerly, feeling the intrusion in his ass. Kaeya held his arms and limited his movements as Dainsleif lined up with the ginger’s hole. “You have to behave though. You won’t let us slip out, will you, Ajax ?” Kaeya mewled.
Childe could feel both of their tips inside, purposefully not going further, and it was driving him insane. “I’ll be good—I promise.” he cried out. Dainsleif and Kaeya seemed to be convinced, they pushed in slowly, following each other’s movements until Childe was full, so full that they barely had any space while thrusting. Dainsleif was lucky enough to catch the lewd, absolutely disgusting look on Childe’s face.
He could barely close his mouth, cheeks flushed red and eyes crossed, letting out the neediest moans and growls with cum dripping down his thighs. Kaeya couldn’t see, but he could see Dainsleif’s delighted yet horrified expression. He loved using up Childe, abusing every entrance he had and filling him up to the brim, then watching his own cum slowly seep out. He also loved pampering him afterwards, washing him off with Dainsleif, laying him down on the bed, drowning him in cuddles and kisses until he fell asleep in Kaeya and Dainsleif’s arms.
“Such a good husband. Isn’t that right, Dain?”
“Mhmm, look how well he’s taking it.”
Four arms lovingly wrapped around Childe, gripping him tight and reaching even deeper. Kaeya pressed a kiss onto his neck, “Are you going to pass out?” he asked. Childe nodded his head left and right.
“Good, I haven’t had enough of you yet.”
There were no intervals between Childe’s orgasms anymore, and instead he was in a constant state of trembling and leaking, as if he was cumming non-stop for the past hour. The sensitivity also seemed to persist, he wasn’t going numb like he normally would. Dainsleif and Kaeya kept indulging him, their hands ran all over his hardened nipples and scars, his belly and waist, the tops of his thighs, they didn’t leave a single inch of his body unattended as they thrusted in and out.
Childe either leaned forward on Dainsleif’s neck or backward on Kaeya’s shoulder, moaning and crying for them until the clock on their nightstand suddenly caught his attention. It was a minute past midnight. He tried to gather his thoughts but instead of a coherent sentence, all that escaped his lips was a hoarse sound. Dainsleif held his cheek and they both slowed down, “What is it, baby?” he asked, slightly concerned.
With the least bit of strength he had, Childe pointed to the clock, all he could whisper weakly was: “Kiss…”
Kaeya chuckled at the fact that Childe noticed, he leaned forward to kiss both of them on the lips. “Happy birthday, Kae. We love you.” Dainsleif spoke affectionately on behalf of himself and Childe, the ginger agreed by nodding.
Kaeya held them close, “I’m glad that I get to spend it with my pretty boyfriends.”

He Loves Me He Loves Me Nott
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Nott https://ift.tt/43PAVsF by cassiopeia_xafod Let me introduce you to the delightful mess that is this story. It's centered around our beloved Fred Weasley, who, in a fit of what can only be described as sheer madness, finds himself inexplicably drawn to Theo Nott. The dark, brooding Slytherin with pretty hair that's like the midnight sky. Now, you might be wondering how this all fits into the grand scheme of things. Well, this story is a companion piece to my main work, "The Peacock Who Loved Me" Yeah, that's right, there's more where that mess came from. In the main story, we've got Theo, who's basically a lovestruck idiot with a crush on Fred, but he's less than smooth when it comes to acting on it. So, I thought, why not flip the script? Let's put Fred in the hot seat and tell his side of the story. It's the hilariously awkward situation I desperately wanted to shove into the main story but just couldn't fit in. This is a parallel storyline where Fred is also one pining away like a lovestruck puppy. It's like watching two trains on a collision course, both conductors too stupid to hit the brakes... or just communicate. Pure comedy gold, if I do say so myself. Words: 5143, Chapters: 6/6, Language: English Series: Part 2 of The Peacock Trilogy Fandoms: Harry Potter - J. K. tell me about the southern birds! :DD
Alright! ^_^ One thing to note about this group is I haven't worked out the core concepts for all of them yet, meaning some of them are currently a lot more vague and what little art I do have right now is far from finished, subject to a complete overhaul like with Aranea's redesign. There are a lot of bird constellations I'm working with, so I'm currently figuring out how to stop them from being too same-y, both visually and in their narrative purpose. That said, I figure showing the roughs is better than nothing anyway, so here we go!
The Southern Birds are primarily a dance group, and use that title to refer to themselves collectively when performing. At one point they performed for the Sky Mirror Circus, but the relationship soured over time. Eventually, as more things started to fall apart and many of the constellations needed to fend for themselves, this group added in more combat training to survive, though some adapted to this change better than others (more on this later). Especially after the fallout with the circus, the Southern Birds look out for themselves most of all.
True to the grouping of their constellations in real life, the members are Phoenix, Tucana, Pavo and Grus. We'll start with Phoenix, as she's the leader of the group and is the most important narratively speaking.
Unlike the other constellations and true to her name, she can resurrect herself after burning out, and this death defiance was of great appeal for Ura and her circus initially, as it could serve a lot of intrigue and shock value to an audience. But Phoenix still isn’t immortal, and she’s one of the only constellations that shows her age visually because of this. The more times she burns out, the more her feathers turn to ash and stardust, and her magic takes a greater toll to use. Some day, she too will burn out for the final time.
I wanted to go for an aging debutant / 1920s flapper kind of inspiration for her design and personality, as both she and Ura’s performance styles and aesthetics match a similar era. She holds herself to a high standard, and can come off as haughty, overly particular, and quick to anger, especially about matters of passion. Though she is indeed the mythological fire bird, I based part of her body shape on that of an ostrich, particularly her legs. Great for dancing, sure, but also great for a swift kick if need be! She is one of the members that adapted quickly to more combat-based movement, and does much to protect her group as their leader.
The brooch she wears is called the Phoenix Heart, and was a gift from Ura when they first fell in love. That initial spark was a genuine one, but as Ura descended deeper into her obsession with "living forever" and the dangers that come with that, Phoenix knew she couldn't reason with her. She felt more and more used by Ura, as if her magic was the only thing she was truly in love with, and their relationship ended with great bitterness.
Phoenix carries a lot of distrust towards the zodiac after what happened with Ophiuchus and his connection with Ura, seeing it as a failure on their part considering how poorly it went. Though the zodiac never claimed to be the "leaders" of the Astral Plane, their increased protection measures and wielding of elemental magic via the Solunar Spirits held certain expectations for the other constellations who they now claimed to be under their protection. Expectations that, to Phoenix, were barely met at all.
Because of Ophiuchus, she views the Starglass as nothing more than an arbiter of destruction, and thus doesn’t exactly give Cassie a warm welcome when they first meet. She does eventually come around to at least help them find Ura, though it's more for the sake of protecting her group and putting her ex-girlfriend behind bars than anything else.
Tucana - The Toucan
The youngest (and smallest) member of the Southern Birds, specializing in baton twirling for her performances. Though Pavo is her primary guardian, the entire group takes care of her in one way or another. Given her size and age, the others are often focused on keeping her safe the most during anything involving combat, as Tucana simply isn't strong enough to fend for herself (bless her little heart though, she tries).
The coloured specks on her feathers are pieces of confetti or glitter used in her cheery, upbeat dance routines. As you might expect, she's got the curiosity and innocence of a child, and is based on a baby toucan specifically, hence why her beak is a lot smaller than her adult counterparts. She hops around to move whenever she isn't flying, which she can only do in short bursts. Pavo - The Peacock
Tucana's primary caretaker, and thus is the most worried for her safety. He possesses a fairly anxious personality overall, and is known for splaying his feathers when frightened. As such, his dances involve a lot of quick movements and shaking motions. He shares a similar need to "look pretty" like Phoenix does, but his vanity is more of a personal desire and it does not possess the same arrogance as hers.
Though his anxiety makes what combat skill he does have rather clumsy and frantic, he is able to use his feathers to distract and misdirect foes, allowing someone else to land a blow instead.
I'm currently toying with the idea of him being some kind of fortune teller or tarot card reader to tie into the astrology angle, but I need to work on the concept more in terms of how I'd integrate it into the lore, and that will in turn inform his visual design a bit more. As I mentioned before, I don't want these designs to be too same-y, and a lot of these birds are of the "long and spindly" variety in terms of body shape. In addition to avoiding the potentially harmful tropes associated with fortune tellers, I also feel he looks too much like Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda at this stage, even though he'd likely have the typical blue/green/yellow palette of a typical peacock anyway. Grus - The Crane
Arguably the most graceful of the group, specializing in long and flowing motions as a ribbon dancer. He is the brother of Columba (The Dove), who took over as pirate captain of the Argo Navis after the death of The Roaring Thunder, the previous incarnation of Leo.
Both cranes and doves are common symbols of peace, but each of them approach that idea quite differently. Grus is a pacifist, disliking conflict in any form and thus did not adapt to combat training very well at all. He instantly regrets his involvement in it, even just in training.
Columba, on the other hand, has a far more militaristic approach to peace, feeling it must be earned and maintained by force instead, frequently leaving the two brothers at odds. Grus's more subdued and quiet personality often does not pair well with Columba's loud and authoritative demeanour. As a result, the two parted ways, choosing to approach the predicament of the Astral Plane in their own respective groups instead.
#thanks for the ask! i hope this is still helpful despite the lack of detail in some parts#still managed to make it absurdly long though lol#asks#tabsters#my art#my OCs#Starglass Zodiac#SGZ#long post

U Mentioned Smth Abt 3 Or 4 Constellations Housing In 1 Of The 12 Zodiac Kingdoms N I Wanted 2 Know Which Constellations Live In Which Kingdom (Other Than The Zodiacs’ Advisors Ofc)
ooooh nice question anon!!
i actually already had a list of which Constellations lived in which kingdom, so here you go!
it should be noted that these are just which kingdoms the Constellations have official citizenship in, not where they currently reside. some, like canes venatici, canis major, and canis minor, are nomadic and travel through the various kingdoms. some, like puppis and vela, have dual citizenship in multiple kingdoms.
that being said, here is the official listing for all the Constellations in my story!
Kingdom of Krios: - Aries - Ara - Musca - Vulpecula - Lynx
Kingdom of Tauros: - Taurus - Pavo - Canes Venatici - Canis Major - Canis Minor
Kingdom of Didymoi: - Gemini - Pegasus - Columba - Cygnus - Ophiuchus
Kingdom of Karkinos: - Cancer - Delphinus - Volans - Tucana - Puppis
Kingdom of Leon: - Leo - Lupus - Lepus - Camelopardalis - Leo Minor
Kingdom of Parthenos: - Virgo - Cassiopeia - Cepheus - Ursa Major - Ursa Minor
Kingdom of Zygos: - Libra - Lyra - Andromeda - Crux - Monoceros
Kingdom of Skorpios: - Scorpio - Lacerta - Carina - Pyxis - Dorado
Kingdom of Toxotes: - Sagittarius - Centaurus - Sagitta - Phoenix - Draco
Kingdom of Aigokeros: - Capricorn - Corvus - Vela - Indus - Scutum
Kingdom of Hydrokhoos: - Aquarius - Aquila - Chamaeleon - Auriga - Eridanus
Kingdom of Ikhthyes: - Pisces - Hydra - Serpens - Piscis Austrinus - Cetus
Nationless: Perseus, Orion, Hercules, Corona Australis, Corona Borealis
Perseus, Orion, and Hercules live with Eclipse, so they're not officially a citizen of any Zodiac kingdom, and Australis and Borealis aren't citizens because, well, they're [REDACTED]

yet I forgot this stuff exist tho, however, ronan's chr lore dump bc, man idk- (tw: a bit of angst, uh, mentions of ab•s•)
today's chr is actually my chr; i mean, who tf if it isn't emine (aka talc/pavo)? TW: spoilers
yep, so far I wanna talk about her being a menace; it was all started when I put her in dat hunger games simulator, which gave me an idea if she's like, opposed from being calmer, she would be that uh, more like a menace.
so, here's the story, emine's actually just a young child, got kicked from her biological mother because of assuming she'll be like her biological father, whose personality she inherits later on; to be exact, she nearly like, being ab•s•d by her mother after the mother herself and the said father divorced. around that time, she was like, 3.
despite that she was even like, too young to live by herself, and survive as a stray kid, she even tried hard for her to survive and live so she could probably get herself, either to a new home yet, it was still hard for her. not to mention emine probably once robbed anything, but not most of the time only to fulfill her needs, especially for her pet cat as well. (yes, she canonically has a pet cat-)
however, it was not until she was about to rob some of devansha's (carbonado/corvus) stuffs, which later, he realized that she only needs them for her to fulfill what she was needed for; a new home, to be exact. at first, he was too skeptical to bring her with him, but however, he decided to adopt her without hesitation. and so, it goes til' this day when she was now lived normally, yet somehow...
devansha himself found emine definitely similar to him, especially when it comes for their cases as well before being taken to a new home. however, not as devansha himself, emine took differently, and guess what; yes, the fact that she actually took her biological father's personality, although she isn't aware of it, hence why she got that menace energy.
however, despite the risks, devansha still took care of her, even if she didn't even try to make a scene as long as he was actually there with her. yet also, that counts if her adoptive mother is there.
even as time passes by, emine herself tried to learn to move on from all her problems. even she had to let go from those, since she wasn't with her biological family; instead, she was indeed happy with her adoptive parents, especially her adoptive mother also, due to the fact that she always wanted a nice maternal figure.
anw, that's the story, yet I probably didn't wanna give dat menace a dark backstory but srsly, I fking did. I mean, why tf is wrong with my brain, like... yk, ik some of my characters' backstories are dark (slight or mild, it depends-), yet even for this rascal here as I wanna apologize for her to be given a tragic backstory 🏃♂️

like. I think this is in reference to Pavo's reaction to (name I forgot, Nif) asking if Esti's training regimen could be changed slightly.
To be abundantly clear on how badly Pavo mangled that conversation in his own head so he could be cranky about something; Nif's actual phrasing and request involved explaining that he and Esti were starting to get properly serious about their relationship and Nif was thinking it was time they started taking some of the next steps. Everyone kinda knew that Esti was never going to be a warrior no matter how intensely his training focussed on bulking him up enough that he might have the physical strength to hold his own against a full demon in a fight, so maybe that part of his training could be reduced for this last year or so of his apprenticeship? It would give him time to focus more on studying tactics and strategy, which he already excelled in and he could do that anywhere, so you know. Esti's been a grown man now for a few years, maybe it was time he starts having some space away from his mentor where he could really develop into his own person outside of his apprenticeship. And maybe, not sleeping in a room that you could only access through a small window or a door that was inside Pavo's room, would be good for that. And you know, Nif is pretty well established, he has his own humble place but no family to share it with since he left his home clan to join up with Pavo's band of warriors.
It seemed like a perfect situation, Esti could move in with Nif, and have more time to focus on his studies and what was happening between him and Nif, and Pavo wouldn't be sharing his space anymore so he'd probably be free to do all sorts of things he hadn't since Esti moved in over a decade ago. Right? this is a good idea?
And that entire conversation happened Before Pavo's anxiety caused whatever doom spiral that made him obsessive about Esti's safety. At that point the only oddness of Esti's and Pavo's situation was how attached the two were to each other and how little time they tried to spend away from one and another. Which you know, wasn't That weird considering about 80% of the demons in the village would kill Esti the second they thought they could get away with it. Having a respected and feared individual like Pavo, or Nif, right there to watch his back was kinda a necessity.
Uh so Pavo doesn't have the excuse of stress induced paranoia, this is an entirely Normal Pavo Read™ on Nif's request after his brain has done blackout poetry to it:
"I'm more important to him than you, Esti's training is a waste of time, you've failed to make him a warrior, here's an excuse about scholarly pursuits to pretend I'm not asking for purely selfish reasons, so maybe you should give up on training him and force him out of your home and into mine where I can do more than replace you in his life and keep him as a catamite or a hidden away like a possession. I'm a worse match for this person who's borderline your son than the people who literally want to slaughter and eat him like he were fresh game, because I wouldn't even give him the dignity of death"
the fact All Pavo did was break a few bones and send him to basically live on the front lines in the middle of a war was testimate to how much he recognized that Esti did like this guy and did want to progress his relationship with him, and so would be extremely upset if Pavo made a public spectacle of Nif's deboning or killed him and tried to hide it.
never talk to this man. it's not worth it.
Why does anyone say anything to Pavo that might be loosely construed as an insult when Pavo responds to insults with Extreme Prejudice
You could look outside, see that it is raining, then say "it is raining" to him and get punched for it. literally Everything can be an insult if he's in a bad enough mood.
#he sucks so bad#and tbc he does not ever reflect on the fact his worst possible assumption about Esti's former beau is Exactly what pavo did to him#the second things went bad between him and Esti

WIP Wednesday - Nostos
Tagged by @mareenavee, @dirty-bosmer, @skyrim-forever, @rainpebble3 tyty friends🙏
I am tagging @thana-topsr @greyborn2 @gilgamish @thequeenofthewinter @changelingsandothernonsense
Fandom: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Rating: T (blood and violence, mushy stuff [kissin' not viscera]) Category: M/F Genre(s): Romance Main characters: Borgakh the Steel Heart, Khemor gro-Skaven (Male orc LDB)
Summary: Khemor gro-Skaven thought that after he defeated Alduin, he would not have to worry about anything more dangerous than a quill knife for the rest of his existence. But when the jarl of the Pale asks him to investigate the destruction of the Hall of the Vigilants, it sets off a chain of events that ultimately leads him to wash up at the feet of Borgakh the Steel-Heart of Mor Khazgur. But what can a crippled conjuration mage-scholar half again her age possibly offer to a future Shield-Wife?
I introduced Khemor in last week's WIP Wednesday, here.
------------
As the sun dipped towards the Druadach mountains, Borgakh led them through the maze of jagged boulders and juniper scrub that made up the Karthald highlands. If it was not for the wall of mountains staying generally to their left, or the leyline of magicka he could sense to the northeast, Khemor would have suspected she was leading them in circles as they wound their way over the harsh terrain.
In several places he was certain the path would disappear only to have Borgakh make a sharp turn and what had seemed to be an impenetrable scrub thicket or wall of rock would be revealed to be passable, or broken in just right way to allow a horse and rider through while fooling the eyes of anyone not looking at it from the correct angle.
Calder was chatting happily as he led Bear on a loose rein, occasionally gesturing with the thrown horseshoe in his hand. The young Nord’s ability to make conversation with anyone under any circumstances had often served Khemor better than his housecarl’s sword arm, and he was grateful for it. It gave him more time to look at Borgakh.
Despite the chill in the air and her damp clothes, she showed no outward sign of discomfort, and navigated the uneven ground and broken rocks at a rapid pace. Now that he was behind her, he could see a buckler and sword strapped beneath her pack, not obvious to the casual observer but still easy to access. A quiver of arrows and a vicious looking knife at her hip seemed to be the weapons she preferred to have closest to hand.
How does anyone live out here? Strongholds had been doing it since the Merethic Era, but so far Khemor had seen nothing even resembling land that would be productive enough to support a settlement. Surely they don’t eat only deer and juniper berries?
"...really, you haven’t heard of the Dragonborn?"
Calder’s question caught Khemor’s wandering attention. Even if he was not recognized by sight it had been a very long time since he had met anyone who did not know of him. They really were on the edge of the map out here, weren’t they?
"I think Pavo, the owner of Kolskeggr, said something about it. Once."
"Well, surely you noticed the dragons returning, even out here! I’ve seen the empty mounds, they must be around."
Borgakh waved her hand dismissively in response. "Oh, yes, the dragons. There’s one that was at the ruins downriver."
"There’s a lair nearby?" Calder looked over his shoulder at Khemor, flashing him a toothy grin.
Next to him, Gregor heaved a weary sigh and said, "We aren’t out here to look for dragons, boy. If Jarl Thongvor wanted it gone he would have asked."
"Ha! I doubt the Silver-Bloods even know what’s all out here in this divinesforsaken backwater." Calder quickly looked over at Borgakh. "No offense."
She grunted in acknowledgement but said nothing. The path was pitching up in a gentle slope, the crest of the hillock just ahead of them. Khemor hoped the stronghold was close - it had been a very long day, and his hip and leg were throbbing. He was going to have to have Gregor assist him off of Blue if he didn’t want to make the poor mare kneel to let him dismount.
"Anyways, I hope they haven’t given you too much trouble, at least lately. My Thane-" Calder waved vaguely back towards Khemor, "-defeated Alduin two summers ago. That was the dragon that was bringing back all the other ones."
Borgakh nodded but said nothing, so Calder continued, huffing slightly between his words as he climbed.
"We’ve been killing the others as they become problems, but most seem to be retreating to the mountains."
"Yes, I’ve seen them flying west sometimes. We’ve lost a few goats." Borgakh’s voice held no trace of effort as she stepped lightly from foothold to foothold.
"Well, if needed I’m sure we’ll be able to deal with any that show up while we’re here," said Calder, in his most gallant tone. "Quite frankly, I’m surprised they haven’t targeted your settlement, they can’t seem to resist every other little hamlet and farm in the rest of Skyrim."
"Oh, I didn’t say they hadn’t attacked." Despite only being able to see a sliver of Borgakh’s face from this angle, Khemor could tell she had a smile playing on her lips.
"I said they didn’t give Mor Khazgur any trouble." Borgakh reached the top of the rise, and stood aside, gesturing to the valley below with a grand sweep of her arm.
The expected mountain-orc stronghold, with its usual curving timbers, sturdy walls, and longhouse would have been the dominant feature of the glen if it were not for the massive dragon skeleton that was splayed out on the valley floor.
"By Talos," Gregor murmured as he pulled his horse up next to Khemor.
Borgakh grinned at Calder’s dumbstruck expression, obviously pleased with herself.
It was a good piece of dramatic timing, Khemor had to admit. And the look on Calder’s face was rather amusing.
The skeleton was undeniably real even from this distance --a small industry making facsimiles had sprung up across Skyrim to take advantage of the standing bounties, and Khemor had seen many fakes just as large as this one-- but the genuine article was unmistakable.
At the far end of the basin, several broken treetops, their exposed inner wood no longer stark white, and a deep groove in the earth, now filled with new spring grass, showed where the dragon’s final stoop must have ended. As he looked more closely, Khemor could see a section of the logs on the stronghold wall had been scorched shiny black, and a few had been replaced, their brown bark standing in contrast to the char on the others.
"It must have been quite a battle," he said, breaking his silence.
"Yes," agreed Borgakh, turning her head to look up at him. Her teeth flashed white in the oncoming evening gloom. "It thought we made an easy target. Now our animals graze around its bones."
"We will be certain to keep that in mind," said Gregor.
"See that you do."
