Are E and M aware of their past lives in Everett was right?

It’s part of the story so I can’t really answer without giving up everything. Let’s say no except for a few very vivid dreams that they forget about, or “déjà-vu” impressions, things like that, but nothing that ever sticks. And ultimately, they all end up having contact with each other, so technically at one point, yes, they are aware. Soooo yes and no? :’)

I personally think that if they killed Derek off because Shemar is leaving it would be such a copout, specially after how they built up these past two episodes. You had him tortured and survived, and fast forward 6 months and he is about to be a father and then you kill him? I feel it would be a disservice to the character and the audience. If they want to kill him off they should do it in a way that's worth it of Derek freaking Morgan. Or you know, just retire him or something

he leaves the FBI for whatever reason (ie. stays home with family more, do something white collar)

he dies

he could go into witness protection, depending how deep all this goes which would make him have to quit the FBI for the safely of his family.

i have a favorite starbucks in boston. on boylston street. they used to have these really comfy sofa chairs, but they got rid of them. i love sitting in the windows and watching traffic and people go by.

i love it! i own too many, but some things i have to have on cd. i can’t remember the last one i bought, though.

i don’t know about endearing, but i love people who thank cashiers.

usually meticulously organized, but right now everything is in boxes because i’m redoing my library.

“I didn’t know you could sing.”

The booth is packed tight, everyone falling all over each other to find a comfortable place to sit. Captain Montgomery and Ryan both called their significant others to meet the group at Castle’s newly acquired bar, and then Lanie showed up too. She and Sito have been suspiciously close lately, and now they’re giggling into each other’s ears.

Everyone is pairing off, and that leaves him and Beckett. Not that that’s a problem. No. He’s more than happy to be in a pair with her. Especially since her top button is undone and her hair falls over her shoulders and the entire length of her thigh is pressed to his.

There’s a lull in the noise of the bar and he takes the chance, leans in to find her ear with his mouth. “Can I get you another drink, Detective?”

He’s pleasantly buzzed, the whisky fizzing in his system, but he’s not inebriated. And he doesn’t intend to get that way either. Not when tonight is the first time in a while he’s gotten to be alone with Beckett. There are six other people at this table, sure, but nobody is paying the slightest bit of attention to Rick and his partner.

“No, thank you. This is my limit.”

It’s only her second, and he knows that it’s not true because of last summer, because Lanie warned him that Beckett could drink him under the table. But he respects her decision and he nods, pushing both of their empty glasses towards the centre of the table so he can rest his elbows on it. Bad manners, and if his mother were here to see she would scowl at him, but he’s just so tired.

He’s tired of pushing it back, tired of pretending. Really fucking tired of Dr. Motorcycle Boy, and the way Kate’s smile always seems that little bit strained nowadays.

The jukebox in the bar kicks on and he groans, covering his eyes with a palm. It makes her laugh, at least, her head thrown back. “Why does the Christmas music have to start so early? It’s only the sixth and I’m bored of this song.”

“I thought you love Christmas, Castle?” Her eyebrow lifts at him and her face is so close in the booth that he leans back in his seat, choking on his desperation.

“I do.” He huffs at her, indignant. “I just think we could use some newer songs.”

That earns him a shrug and that sly smile of hers, the one that quirks in the corners of her mouth and wriggles its way across until she’s beaming. “You’re the owner. Change it.”

“Kate, sing with me!” Lanie slurs from across the table before he gets a chance to respond, and his head whips around in time to catch Beckett’s blush.

“I’m not singing, Lanie.”

“Why? Javi said you guys sang earlier.” Castle lifts an eyebrow at that, at first name terms, but neither Esposito nor Dr Parish seems to notice it. Instead they’re looking at each other, lovesick and disgusting, and he starts to groan before he realises…he probably looks at Beckett exactly the same way.

He’s been thinking about it all evening. The pleasant lilt of her voice, the ease of it. He didn’t know she’d even be that familiar with the song, but she joined the rest of them in belting it out. Castle leans in to her ear again, already smirking. “Yeah, about that. I didn’t know you could sing, Detective Beckett.”

“Because I don’t, normally.” She fires right back, glaring at him. It’s laced with amusement though, so he doesn’t bother pretending to wither underneath it.

Instead, he lets his heart free for just a moment. “You should. You have a beautiful voice.”

“Oh, what? Should I start singing people their Miranda rights?” She rolls her eyes, but now he’s imaging it and she must be able to tell somehow because she huffs and folds her arms across her chest. “Castle, seriously? You will never catch me singing in the precinct again.”

He doesn’t even care. He’d much rather hear her singing in the shower in the morning while he steals an extra ten minutes in bed, or in the car on their way out to the Hamptons, or in the middle of the night with a tiny body cradled to her chest.

Whoa, okay. Slow down, Rick. She’s with Josh now, and as long as she keeps pretending it makes her happy, he can keep pretending it doesn’t gut him and leave him to writhe on the ground at her feet.
