Trish ends up being trans and immediately ends up into changing into her ideal body but instead of what she wanted it's just sparda's human form

Sorry this is random but I was bored in my works lunch room waiting for my shift to start so I wrote this, Enjoy!!:
Random dmc headcannons!!!
(I've only played 5 so I'm only gonna cover those characters (+ Patty because I love her))
• If Vergil had a normal childhood and teen hood he totally would be in the Goth or Visual Kei scene (totally not projecting my own style onto him)
• Lady and Trish are dating but Dante is oblivious, they can't tell if hes pretending not to know or not
• Nero and Nico always argue on which flavour of various things tastes better as conversation starters and it always ends up in a slap fight
• Vergil and Dante sleep in the same way, sprawled out on the bed messily, Vergil just doesn't admit it (least he doesn't snore).
• Patty considers Nero as a pseudo brother/cousin which leads to shenanigans
• KYRIE IS ALSO GOTH!!!!! she has very religious undertones in what she wears
• Lady actually sleeps with one eye open, it scares everyone
• Trish got scouted by a modelling agency once and she gave it a shot, but immediately quit as her first shoot got her front page of a big fashion magazine and she became really popular for a bit

As promised...
Sweet Tooth
What happens when someone sets a bag of chocolates in front of Vergil?
Well, you'll find out here.
Dante was curious. He knew that when he and Vergil were kids, they both had a sweet tooth. He still had a sweet tooth that kicked in every now and then, but it was usually brought on when he saw someone else eating candy. Most of the time, he settled for strawberries or ice cream. Vergil, on the other hand, loved chocolate as a kid.
As a matter of fact, there was a time he remembered his brother waking up in the middle of the night and spewing chocolate cake all over the bedroom. Their mother warned them not to eat all of the cake in one sitting, but they were both stubborn. They were still stubborn.
As it was, they were sitting around the table at Nero's for a family get-together. It was the first time in a few months that Kyrie put her foot down and invited all of them over. This included Evan, who had brought a whole bag of chocolate candy with her. Lady tagged along, seeing as she was part of the family, too.
Dante sat between Nero and Vergil, acting as a buffer between the two, while Evan sat across from Vergil with Lady on her left. It was a good setup, and they had finished eating a while ago. Dante smiled when Evan set her bag of candy on the table in front of her.
Oh, this was going to be interesting. His kid was just as devious as he was, and he gave himself credit for it. He could see the look in her eye. She had noticed Vergil's tendency to reach for anything chocolate when it was presented to him. Although, it was a setup.
"Hey, so, how was that trip to Europe, Evan?" Nero asked his cousin, who was busy trying to open the foil wrapper on her piece of candy.
"Oh, it was okay. Nothing I haven't seen before." She had just returned from France two weeks before. Even though she had been to Europe already in search of a way to bring Dante back to human civilization. "Studying abroad is not all its cracked up to be when you've been to all these places before."
"Yeah, I guess that could put a damper on the whole college experience." She nodded at Nero's statement as she popped a candy into her mouth.
"Once you've seen one thing over there, you've seen them all. Isn't that right, Verge?" Dante leaned back in his chair.
"I find Europe to be less exciting than East Asia. You should go there when you can, Evan." Considering his love for anything to do with Japan, Vergil was always quick to recommend the country for top choice in travel. "The food alone is reason enough to go."
"And that is coming from someone who can lower the sushi production in the matter of hours." Dante slapped his brother on the back, hoping Vergil would take the bait. That was when it happened.
Vergil reached for the bag of candy.
Not only did he grab it, but he opened the bag. He looked inside as if no one was paying attention, which they were. In an inconspicuous way while still carrying on in conversation. Dante glanced at Evan with a smirk on his face. The bait had been taken. All that was left was to sit back and watch the show.
"I mean, I'd actually love to go to Japan." Lady spoke up, not really in the loop on the trap that had been set. "I actually love Japanese fashion."
"Patty would definitely agree with you on that, Lady." Evan handed her a piece of candy. "Besides, she was really jealous of me when I went to Paris."
"Is she still not talking to you?" The younger twin asked.
"Sort of." There were the occasional calls and texts, but nothing to say they were back on full speaking terms.
At this point, Vergil had the bag all to himself, and there was a pile of wrappers forming in front of him. There was a very distinct look of mild pleasure on his face. Dante knew his brother well enough to know that Vergil's guard was totally down at this point.
"Uh, Verge... you doing okay over there?" The older twin stopped mid chew as he realized everyone's attention was on him. He looked out the corner of his eye before swallowing and composing himself.
"I'm fine, Dante." He waved at everyone to carry on before grabbing another piece of candy.
"Anyway, on to better things." Dante leaned forward and put his forearms on the table. "I've decided to remodel the shop." There was a smile on his face. "I'm gonna knock out a few walls upstairs, put in a proper bathroom..."
"All things you should have done years ago." Vergil interrupted. "A new refrigerator would be great too."
"Yes, that too... and..." Dante opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted again.
"New flooring." Vergil looked over at his brother. "Furniture wouldn't be a bad idea either. Who knows what has been on that couch in the lobby. And don't get me started on the kitchen. It needs a new stove..." He paused when he realized he was saying too much. Dante was looking at him with an annoyed look on his face. "I'm sorry, were you talking?"
"No, no... go on. Tell me what needs to be replaced." The brothers sometimes got annoyed with each other. However, it was undoubtedly Dante's fault for this. "You sure you're okay? You've eaten a lot of chocolate." The red twin picked up the bag to see how much candy Vergil had actually eaten.
"I'm absolutely fine." Vergil snatched the bag out of his brother's hand and put it aside.
"You're gonna be bouncing off the walls later if you don't stop." There was a smirk on Dante's face at his twins reaction. "Kinda reminds me of that time when we were kids."
"Don't you dare bring that up." The older twin glared. "Dante."
"Oh I won't." Evan could see the mischief in her father's eyes and the challenge in her Uncle's. "Yet." To add insult to injury.
"Need I remind you of the time you ate too many strawberries." That caused Dante's face to instantly pale. The smirk faded into a look of pleading. "I thought so."
"That was a low blow, brother." By now everyone was invested into this whole scene. Lady was at the edge of her seat while Nero was looking on in interest. "That was a really... really... low blow."
"Yeah, well, you started it." Vergil crossed his arms over his chest with what everyone could assume was a pout.
"Did I?" Dante put a hand to his own chest as if he were hurt by the accusation. "You ate over a half a bag of candy and now you're acting like you did when we were kids."
"Who gave Evan the bag of candy?" That was Evan's cue to exit the room, but she only looked at Dante.
And so did everyone else.
"I knew this day was going to come." He looked Evan in the eyes. "My own flesh and blood..." He stood up.
"Did you just stand up?" Evan asked as she stood up herself. "Better sit back down old man."
"You better run... traitor." And just like that, Dante's face hardened. Now Evan decided it was time to run. "Oh no you don't!"
The father ran after his daughter, even though Dante was capable of catching her real quick. Vergil on the other hand, took the bag of candy and held it out for Nero.
"Want some?"

DMC Questions Anon here!
The ending of DMC 5 leaves the door very open for new character dynamics to be formed. Which is exactly what this question is about.
(Keep in mind that if you don't want to or don't think you can you do not need to cover all of these dynamics)
(Also, I do not mean any of these dynamics as a group just for clarification)
How do you believe Dante and Vergil will move forward with their relationship after DMC 5? What about Vergil and Nero? How about Dante and Nero?
Vergil is going to end up needing to form a dynamic with all of the characters after he and Dante return from hell. The characters he will inevitably end up interacting with on a normal basis will be: Lady, Trish, Kyrie, Nico, Patty, and Morrison. How do you believe his relationship with all of these characters will turn out? How will they start off, and how will they develop?
Dante has a dynamic with most of this cast, but what do you think his dynamics with Kyrie and Nico will end up being like?
What dynamics do you believe Nero will have with Lady, Trish, Patty, and Morrison?
How do you think the dynamics Trish will have with Kyrie and Nico will play out?
The dynamic Lady will have with Kyrie?
The dynamics Kyrie will have with Patty and Morrison?
How do you think the dynamics Nico will have with Patty and Morrison will play out?
What dynamics (other than anything involving a member of the Sparda family with another member) are you most interested in seeing playing out?
(I have another question planned to do at some point asking you to talk about dynamics not included here)
Sorry this is so short but I had a hard time sorting my thoughts out and I have SO MANY THOUGHTS.
Dante and Vergil: to keep it short, they're happy to be together again but they annoy the absolute shit out of each other. I'm not sure they can cohabitate long-term. And they've been apart for so long that they kind of need to get to know each other again?
Dante and Nero: Nero is pissed and Dante feels guilty but they'd work it out. Dante really embraces the "embarassing fun uncle" role.
Nero and Vergil: this is SUCH a big can of worms. The two of them want a relationship so bad, but getting there will be filled with frustration, anger, grief, all that good shit. I can't imagine Vergil being anything less than 100% devoted to his son. He'll fuck up a lot but try so hard to do right by Nero.
I think Lady, Trish, and Morrison would be wary but try to get along with Vergil for Dante's sake.
I'm a huge fan of Nico and Vergil being unlikely friends.
Kyrie… I think she'd be pretty frosty toward Vergil. They'd get along eventually, but I think Kyrie would be angry with him (for good reasons!). She's upset with Dante too, btw. She more than anyone would know how badly Nero wanted to know where he came from and what Dante had to do with it.
I like to think Nero and Patty already know each other and meet up to bitch about Dante. (THEY'RE COUSINS YOUR HONOR)
As for Nero and Lady/Trish/Morrison- they're Dante's coworkers that he has mutual respect for and is friendly with, but they're not friends.
Nico and Patty would get along GREAT and I would like to see it, thanks.

Single ship muses. Do they see anyone as besties and what of family like bonds? Have they got violence to protect them?
noriko has a lot of family. she is closest to hitomi family-wise. colette is her best friend. yes, she will fight for them to protect them should she have to.
lady sees trish and noriko as her sisters truthfully. dante is more like her brother (even if she'll never admit it because he can get on her nerves sometimes lmao). she would fiercely protect them if it came down to it.
nicolas doesn't have many family like bonds, truthfully. pretty much just nina. he would fight to keep her safe.
kaito has his sisters and cousins obviously. he's pretty close to hanzo. but he would try his best to protect his family.
lemon sees the entirety of the dmc crew as his family since he doesn't have any surviving family. he would definitely protect them but he's sure that they don't really need help.
vergil has dante and nero. he won't say it out loud but he would fight to protect them.
dante has the dmc crew as well as patty (who is like a little sister/daughter to him). he has protected them before and would very much do it again.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne x Devil May Cry 2 | Dante and Demi-fiend (Naoki) Headcannon
Tumblr media
Their relationship is like father and son.
The events of DMC 2 when Dante goes out of the Underworld he unintentionally stops in the SMTN world and meets Demi when he was thwarted to hunt him down during DLC.
Dante in DMC 2 may be a quiet lone wolf, but deep down he cares about Demi and always goes to see him.
How does he get back to SMTN 3 world? Idk my friend ;')
Demi has a fun, serious, shy personality. He likes being with Dante as they both show paternal affection.
One day Demi went into the DMC world and Trish, Lady, Morrison and Lucia thought he was really Dante's son (lol x)), but Demi says that wasn't the case.
Demi is shy, but he likes to keep a conversation going.
Dante in DMC 5 will miss Demi since he went to hell.
Dante always keeps some memento pictures of Demi and him.
Dante (after the events in DMC 4) tell Demi about his journey and his supposed cousin to his brother (Dante after coming back in Demi's world told some stories from his life and he told his brother Vergil about him and his family a little bit ).
It's Demi who wants to meet Vergil and Nero in person one day.
Demi's favorite pastime with Dante is playing with his Devil Arm.
K he had interaction with Agni and Rudra xD
Demi has many conversations with Trish, Morrison, Lucia, Lady and Patty (kk she just met him when she was taking care of the store talking to Trish xD)
Dante Protect.
Dante Attack.
And
He is the best father devil.
Bye~✨

The Heart Summons
So I posted this a while back and some blessed soul sent me this ask. Which led me to write what was intended to be a 1.5k word fic, but ballooned into something over twice that length.
The lovable, mischievous, adorable Winston is an OC of @varen-neoraven , whose profile is HERE Read on Ao3 HERE
Dante sighed as he pulled the bike to a gentle stop in front of the junkyard. He’d rather have done the job alongside Vergil, but Nero had come over that morning, and the last thing he wanted to do was interfere in their ‘father-son bonding time’ which both men desperately needed to catch up on. Still, Dante couldn’t help but feel a teensy weensy bit jealous of both of them. They seemed to, despite their vastly different personalities, really get along. Much better than either of them ever did with him. Which led Dante to the uncomfortable feeling that HE was the common denominator, that he had spent his entire life pushing people away, that he’d broken those bonds. Permanently.
“Ah well,” he swung his leg over the bike to check on his passenger, “At least you wanted to come...although I think you were more interested in the trash than spending time with me.”
An excited chitter was the response, as the racoon tried its damndest to remove the pink (a Patty selection) mini helmet that clipped securely under its chin. Even an animal as clever as him, couldn’t undo that strap, and the chitters began to get rather...testy.
“Look Winston,” Dante chided as he attempted to wrangle the creature, “you know the rules: No bike rides without the helmet.”
An angry growl.
“Hey, I didn’t come up with the rule, Verg did! You have a problem with it, you take it up with him when we get home.”
Dante could make out a low pitched whine as he reached under and undid the snap. “Remember, I’m on a job. Supposed to be a nasty lil’ bugger here. So keep your ears and nose sharp, and don’t wander too far-
Winston ignored him the second he was free of the pink monstrosity, leapt off the bike, speeding past Dante and zoomed past the junkyard gates, both of which had been bent open, an indication that the ‘pest’ he had been contracted to get rid of was here, and it was a bit bigger than the client had described.
“Winnie, wait!” Dante yelled out, a bit more concerned, before trying to cover it with a joke. “If you get covered in gunk, you’re gonna have to take one of those baths...and I know how much you hate them!”
No response. A bad feeling started pooling in the base of Dante’s stomach. He’d been told that the job would be simple, just a sole little demon that liked to hide among the junked cars. But as he entered, he noticed that the crushed cars, usually stacked on top of each other, were scattered around, like a giant toddler had been playing with them.
“Winston!” He called out, wanting to keep the animal close. If anything happened to the critter, Vergil would never forgive him. Vergil had only allowed this little trip because he was under the same impression that Dante was, so no danger to the racoon. Maybe he should have brought Vergil and Nero along....nah, they didn’t need him. They were probably glad to be rid of him for a while.
He heard a hiss, like the air escaping from a valve….or the sound of an upset animal. His heartbeat quickened. Following the sound, he walked around a car that had recently been tipped on its side, and then came to a halt.
There, the size of a cow, was a demon, its shape reminding Dante of one of those ancient giant armadillos he saw in a book as a kid, a chunk of car door in its mouth. And in front of it, an angry fluffy striped ball of rage, hissing and spitting what could only be racoon curses. The demon glared at it while chewing the door’s chrome trim, and around a mouthful of metal, snarled back. Winston did not budge.
Huh, Dante proudly mused as the raccoon stood his ground against the demon, Winnie has bigger balls than his Tanuki cousins. But playtime’s over, time to let the professional take over.
He whipped out Ebony and Ivory, and shot several rounds into the creature, before it decided Winston was getting too annoying. But to his dismay, the bullets just ricocheted off its incredibly tough hide in a shower of sparks. And to his double dismay, that just made him the demon’s main target, as it dropped its meal onto the gravel. The remnants of the door flew towards Dante at an incredible speed, and he barely had time to whip out his sword and cleave it in two, letting the two halves sail past him at nearly mach 1 speed. This lumbering animal shouldn’t be able to move things so fast… unless… he thought as he watched Winston scamper out of immediate danger… the damn critter could manipulate the magnetic properties of metal, hence why it came here. Practically a buffet to a demon like it! He sprinted before it could launch another car at him, putting all his weight into the sword swing.
CLANG!
He felt like he had just struck a tank, instead of a demon, as the weapon bounced harmlessly off the brute’s backside. For a brief moment, Dante was unbalanced, as he tried to keep hold on the sword. And in that moment of distraction, he noticed to his horror that instead of turning to attack him, all along the metallic hide were dozens of thick metal spikes growing. No...not horns...quills.
The damn thing wasn’t just an armadillo. It was a demonic Magneto PORCUPINE. And if those quills were metal.... He turned in a panic, trying to find Winston before he became a racoon shishkabob. To his relief, he had wisely taken shelter under a pile of tires. Dante needed to get the little guy out of here, to fall back and figure out a different plan of atta-
A shower of pain hit him, like he’d been shot. By a nail gun. Several hundred times. All at once. He gasped out in pain before risking a look to see what had impaled him this time.
Well, one part of him thought, this is a new one. There, sticking out of nearly every part of his body, were dozens of metal points, each at least six inches long, embedded deep in his skin, and no doubt puncturing his internal organs. He was lucky he had turned to find Winston, or else his eyes might have been gouged by the shrapnel. Not that it made much difference. The pain, and the way his body struggled to heal itself was too much for him to handle.
His vision began to fade around the edges as he tried to lift up his sword...but it felt so...heavy. He coughed, and blood splattered on the ground, joining the rivulets that streamed down from all his wounds, forming a winding river in the gravel. His oxygen deprived brain thought it was kinda cool, and as he tried to follow the course, he stumbled and fell. Thankfully, he fell to his side, preventing most of the quills from impaling him further, but he couldn’t seem to find the strength to get up. Were the spikes poisoned? Did his healing factor go on strike in protest of the way he treated his body all these years? Tetanus? It seemed a shame to go out this way, he mused as he slowly reached for Ivory lying in the dust. He managed to fire three more shots, but only one hit, and yet again, that one shot bounced harmlessly off the demon. So this was it he thought killed by an oversized metallic porcupine. What a way to go.
He heard what sounded like a rumbling scream, and his eyesight focused enough to see a furry lump standing in front of him, his extremely bushy tail swishing back and forth like an overclocked metronome, challenging the beast, who now was growing another set of spikes, ready to hit the launch button. Winston, despite his ability to vanish when caught sneaking food, would not be able to dodge these deadly projectiles. Dante needed to protect him...but he couldn’t… do anything. He was going to fail Winston.
Just like he couldn’t protect Nero.
Just like he couldn’t protect Vergil.
Nero…
Vergil…
The spikes launched.
CLANG!
There was an animalistic shriek, not of pain, but of surprise, followed by a suspicious sniffling, and an excited chittering. Dante seemed to regain some consciousness, enough to look up to see what Winston was jabbering about.
There, hanging over both of them like an oversized Christmas ornament, was a very familiar red crystalline thing...where had he seen it before? His thoughts moved faster, and then it clicked.
Yamato
Dante's hazy mind was puzzled, confused at the weapon’s arrival. Had Vergil followed him? No, he heard no firm chiding him for his foolishness. But how...how had Yamato come here without her master? His mind became fuzzy again.
The demon huffed in frustration, and several surrounding cars began lifting off the ground, ready to be launched. The crystal dipped a bit lower, almost touching the ground, and the tiniest portion of it, almost as if in response to Winston’s sniffing, dissolved to reveal that blue hilt. The sound of protesting metal got louder in the background as the demon prepared to attack.
Dante reached for it, not expecting much to come out of it, seeing that even when at his 100% best, he never could quite match the precision Vergil did with the blade. But he had to try. Vergil would be furious if he didn’t. And he’d never get a moment's peace in the afterlife hearing Nero constantly bitching about how his idiot uncle had fallen to a goddamn porcupine. And so, as an entire parking lot’s worth of metal sped towards them, he closed his eyes and gripped Yamato… hard.
He heard three sounds, none of which sounded pleasant.
The screech of metal being ripped like paper.
An extremely distressed squeal.
And the pained warped bellow of an animal, that was cut off in mid cry.
In fact, all three sounds cut out to eerie silence for a few moments, as if time itself had stopped, before an explosion of sounds of falling metal crashing down, and the smell of burnt rubber with a hint of sulfur.
He opened his eyes, to see an entirely different scene. Those piled cars were now nothing more than scrap metal falling to the ground, their edges still glowing orange hot. A few newly shredded tires had caught fire, and were belching out a noxious plume of smoke. And the demon? Gone. Not even a trace of it remained, save for a few metal quills scattered on the ground….and embedded in Dante. Yamato, her elegance looking quite out of place surrounded by such refuse, lay motionless in his hand.
A soft, almost worried sounded chitter brought Dante out of his observations. Winston was sniffing at him, his little paws almost feeling like he was trying to find a pulse.
“I’m okay buddy…”
The raccoon was far too clever to be fooled by such a lie, if his agitated growl was any indication. And to be truthful, Dante hadn’t felt this shitty in a loooooong time. There was no way he was going to be able to make it to his bike, let alone bike home in his condition. He could pull some of them out, but he wasn’t sure where to start, or if it would make things worse. But he needed to try.
Trying (and failing) to hold back a groan, he slowly got back up, pulling himself to a sitting position, and then forcing himself to a standing position. He picked up Winston, holding the protesting animal like a football. Maybe… maybe if he drove fast, and ignored the ‘Winston must wear a helmet’ rule...he could get help… His eyesight began to fade again. He wasn’t gonna make it…
And then, Yamato buzzed in his hand, and he felt some sort of electrical current run through him, like someone had hijacked his nervous system. His sword arm made two quick familiar slashes in the air, as if at an invisible foe. And in front of him, the air peeled back, like an overripe peach.
Trusting that the blade wasn’t gonna lead him to his doom (yet), he stumbled through, not really caring what his destination was.
“What in the-”
“Holy shit Dante! What the Hell happened to you?”
He heard those voices, of his brother and nephew, smelt the comforting scent of gunsmoke and stale pizza, and in relief, he dropped the struggling bundle of fur...and collapsed.
------
His memories were kinda hazy after that.
“What happened to him?”
“He was attacked, it would seem.”
“Har har Captain Obvious. What do we do? He’s messed up pretty bad. I thought he’d heal himself”
“He’s been injured in too many places for his body to quickly recover, and these… things… they’re impeding his healing. They must be removed.”
Worried chittering. “Okay...how are we going to do that?”
“Nero, bring me some pliers.... And that bottle of whiskey in his bar.” “Okay...he will be okay, right?” “It will take more than this to take your uncle down, now go.” Agitated growling
“I know what I’m doing, Winston.” He felt the cool air of the office hit his chest as his shirt was ripped off.
Doubtful whine
“Cease your whining. If you’re implying that I will intentionally harm him, you are mistaken. It would make our future battles most underwhelming.”
Dante tried to mumble a clever comeback, but all that came out was a groan. Whatever he wanted to say had instantly vanished from his mind.
“Save your wit for later Dante…” Strange...Dante could have sworn he heard a slight tremor in that voice. He probably was hallucinating.
“Alright, I’m back...please don’t tell me you’re going to use the pliers for what I think you’re going to use them for.”
“I’ve done this before on myself. I know what I am doing. Now get ready to hold him down.”
“I’m pretty sure I got better stuff for antiseptic in my van than booze”
“It is not for him yet.... It is for… us”
Dante felt hands on his shoulders, a mumbled apology and then...a sharp burning pain in his shoulder. A scream ripped from his throat. And then...blessed silence and darkness.
------
He awoke to warmth on his chest, and a relaxing vibration, like one of those massaging pads he saw Lady use after a particularly taxing battle…
A battle? Yeah… he’d been in a fight, last thing he’d remembered. Some tank of a demon… he tried to recall more, but it took a while for snippets of images to filter back. He’d gotten hurt, pretty badly. And yet, he’d managed to make it home. Or maybe he hallucinated that, along with that giant crystal that turned out to be his brother’s sword.
He opened his eyes to find himself laying shirtless on his bed, with a large furry mass curled up on his chest, soft purrs reverberating through him.
He shifted slightly, but that was enough. Winston instantly woke up, and with a happy chatter, clambered up to put his wet snout right right in Dante’s face.
“Nice to see you too, Winnie.”
A shuffle came from the side of his bed and he turned to see both Nero and Vergil sitting on an old trunk that they’d used (after cleaning off a bunch of his junk) as a makeshift bench. There was something about how close they sat next to each other, and the lack of tension at doing so, that made his heart skip a beat.
“Bout time you woke up old man.” Nero said as he chewed some bubblegum, “Had to drag your sorry ass upstairs.”
“Good to see you too, kid.” He chuckled, but winced. He looked down and saw little pock marks all over his chest, little scars that looked so out of place on him.
“They will fade in time, once the poison flushes out of your system.” Vergil sat up, setting aside a book. Strange, his hair seemed most disheveled.
“Poison? I’ve been hit with all types of that shit, both human and demonic. Nothing left me feeling this crappy.” “It slows down the healing factor. In most circumstances you would have been able to shrug it off, but it appears that whatever attacked you,....” he paused, looking up for a moment to do some mental math, “fifty six individual times, began to overwhelm you. Had we not intervened when we did…” he coughed, unwilling to elaborate, but Dante knew exactly what the rest of the sentence would have been. “What DID attack you? I’ve seen similar wounds before, but never this numerous…”
“Eh…” Dante was reluctant to say. If he told them he’d been nearly killed by a demonic poisonous porcupine that could manipulate metal.... They’d either not believe him...or worse, they WOULD believe him and never let him live it down for the rest of his life. “Doesn’t matter, the thing’s dead,” he looked at their doubtful faces, and decided to distract them with a compliment, “Thanks to you sending the Old Girl to me.” He gestured to Yamato, back in her sheathe which lay propped up against the trunk.
Vergil’s face darkened in confusion, “I...I did not send her.”
“Wha?”
Nero began talking around an ever growing bubblegum bubble “Yeah, me and him-”
“He and I.”
“Yeah, yeah, anyways, we were sparring in the parking lot, and all of a sudden, POP!” The gum provided the sound effect, “Yamato just up and up vanishes. Dad was so shocked, began freaking out, so we went back to your place to figure out what we should do… and then you just appeared.”
“Weird.”
Vergil stroked his chin, thinking hard. “Tell me exactly what happened Dante, just before Yamato appeared. Leave out no detail.” Dante was kinda weirded out by such an invasive question, but whatever… so he relayed what he remembered (neglecting to describe the demon. That wasn’t helpful, he figured.)
“What were you thinking the moment before Yamato arrived?” Vergil was certainly persistent.
“I was...I,” he scritched Winston’s head, who accepted it gladly, “I was thinking of you. And Nero...about how much I missed out on both your lives...that I didn’t do enough to keep the both of you safe. On the day of fire...that whole Savior shitshow… That I…” Damn, the poison must still have an effect, his vision was getting blurry, so he squeezed his burning eyes closed.
“I see…” Vergil spoke, his voice trembling, “It all makes sense. Yamato first came to me when I was injured and surrounded, and my thoughts were of Mother and...you.” That was enough for Dante to open his eyes to gape at his brother, but Vergil was no longer looking at him, his eyes fixed on the floor.
“Huh, the same thing kinda happened to me.” Nero spoke into the silence. “Got skewered by that bastard Agnus, and I was on the verge of passing out...and all I could think of was Kyrie...about how I still needed to be there for her....” He tried to blow another bubble, but it popped prematurely.
“So what you’re saying is that Yamato can sense when we need help? That we can summon her when we get into trouble?”
Nero shook his head, “Nah, I don’t think it’s that simple. Look at the other thing all of our situations had in common. We all thought about people we cared about. That’s the kicker! Technically Yamato, being a devil arm, would be summonable by any old demon with enough willpower. But demons tend to care only about themselves. It’s when we think of others, when we tap into our humanity, THAT’S when she responds.
“It would explain why she did not come to me when I escaped the Underworld,” Vergil said, his eyes still fixed on the floor. I sensed her, but since I was thinking of only myself…”
“Oh no...we are not going through that again.” Nero rolled his eyes. “What’s done is done…” he patted his father’s back, who raised his head in surprise, “As long as you keep thinking about what’s REALLY important, not power, or trying to be the biggest badass on the planet, but the people you care about, I’ll let that whole ‘ripping my arm off’ slide.” Vergil stared at his son, before a soft smile bloomed on his face. It looked good on him.
“Even after these past two years, Nero… you continue to impress me.”
Nero went beet red and decided to pretend he didn’t hear his father say that. He looked at Dante “I suppose we should have a celebratory dinner. Cicero’s usual?”
Dante’s mood brightened immensely. “You betcha! Make it double, all that healing I’ve done has left me starving.”
Nero grumbled something inaudible as he left the room, as Vergil also got up. “I should check up on the laundry, I cannot believe how many filthy clothes you had in this room.”
“Aww big bro did my laundry, how sweet!”
“Do not get used to it.”
“LOVE YOU TOO BRO!” Dante yelled as Vergil left, risking some pain to chuckle again, which caused Winston to watch him inquisitively.
“You know…” Dante grinned at the raccoon, “It wasn’t just Verg and the kid I was thinking about, I was also thinking about you”
A happy chitter.
“Yeah yeah, don’t assume you can just swipe my food now you might be family and all, but nobody touches my grub...and another thing.” he lowered his voice, “don’t tell anybody what kind of demon that kicked my ass was.” Dante had a bad feeling from the sound of Winston’s diabolical chattering.

Note
For the fandom ask: Devil May Cry
First character i fell in love with: 3Dante
a character i used to like but now do not: Nina Lowell
a ship i used to like: I actually stayed the same on this. at most i went from Post Dmc5 Alice and Vergil going from future couple to really good friends that are two halves of a functional adult
my ultimate favorite character: V
prettiest character: yes, except Arkham
my most hated character: Arkham
my OTP: Alice and Lucia. two people who are not what they seem.
My NOTP: excluding family stuff because that's obvious and low-hanging fruit, Nico and Nero. They're practically cousins.
Favorite episode: of the anime, death poker.
saddest death: Eva. her love for her son got her killed.
favorite [game]: DMCV
least favorite [game]: DmC:DMC
beloved character that I hate: Credo. he was fully willing to sacrifice Nero. Nero loved him more than Credo loved him.
piece of trash fave: Enzo
deserves better than this: Patty
this ship is wrong, but I love it: Don't have one.
cute but I'm not invested: Vergil and the woman in red.

Day 2- Connection to cast
Tumblr media
Yes I drew this months ago in preparation. No I don’t know if this post will work either.
So Ivey’s connection to the cast is a bit all over the place, but to summarize
Dante- you see, when a man and a woman love each other very much- yeah Dante and Ivey are a couple. I know, grill me for being unoriginal. While their relationship is a bit on and off throughout the series (mainly because Ivey isn’t around for 1 and 2), after DMC4 they are in a steady relationship. As of 5 they aren’t married or anything, and it’s a bit questionable if they’ll be okay since Dante is currently trapped in hell, but she sticks it out anyway. He was the first person she really got to know, and she admires him, not for his strength but for his humanity and His connection to humanity. He and Lady really did show her what it was like to be human and she felt like she could trust them both more than anything, they’d never judge her. She wants nothing more than for him to be safe, and has a tendency to go against what he says because of this. She nearly got herself killed in 5 just because she couldn’t just sit around and do nothing while he was possibly dead. In short- she is ride or die for this man, and will stand by him no matter what happens. She’s got the time.
Vergil/V- To be honest, Ivey had a feeling something was up with V. Something about him just seemed untrustworthy but she had nothing to go on and so she said nothing. With Vergil it’s a bit mixed, she doesn’t trust him to ever be doing anything good, and she thinks he’s a bit of a selfish dick at times, but he’s Dante’s brother and Dante cares a lot about him, so she doesn’t really speak on it. She tolerates Vergil for Dante but swears if Vergil does anything, she won’t hesitate. She was honestly horrified to find him as Nelo Angelo because “oh my god, what have they done to you.”
Lady- Lady was the first full human she ever met, and because of this, Ivey always had a sort of respect and admiration for her. Despite not having any of the benefits of being a demon, she still had the audacity to try and fight them, head on. She’s very powerful and determined, not willing to back down from a fight. It’s amazing. Her and Lady are friendly with each other, though Lady playfully bullies her for her bad taste in men.
Trish- since Ivey was in hell around the time during Trish’s creation, she had a bit of distrust in her at first, when she first saw Trish with Dante. This mainly stemmed from a self-preserving nature, seeing Trish still as Mundus’ lackey he would use to kill Dante. Though she quickly learned this isn’t true, not anymore, and befriended Trish, who tries to help her blend in better with humans. They have a bit in common, and can understand each other’s problems being fully demon surrounded by humans.
Lucia- Ivey hasn’t met Lucia, actually
Patty- Though she didn’t meet Patty until she was older, Ivey absolutely adores the little girl. She finds it quite funny how Patty nags the crap out of Dante for even the smallest things. In addition to Lady, Patty also is constantly asking Ivey to “do better” because “a pretty lady like you shouldn’t be with this lazy piece of crap.” Also she likes Patty’s dresses and thinks they suit her well.
Morrison- Ivey did actually meet Morrison after the events of DMC3, though she didn’t speak much with him, she always saw him as a respectable business man. Not to mention he’s a bit of a gentleman. He more or less saw her Dante and Lady as a group of dumb teenagers without parental supervision. Was he gonna give them supervision? Hell no. But he’d at least make sure they didn’t die doing something stupid.
Mundus- Ivey fears Mundus, and I mean fears him. He could squash her like a bug if she did anything to disappoint him, and she doesn’t think she could do anything against it. Not only that but he was trying to kill Dante and tried to hire her to do it, and she had to find some way out of it. If anyone found out about her connection to the Son of Sparda she’d be as good as dead. She’s glad he’s gone, he gave her a lot of stress. Now she can just relax and live how she wants.
Nico- Ivey hasn’t interacted with Nico a lot but she finds her… interesting? She’s very smart, especially when it comes to demonic weapons. Very talented as well.
Nero- Despite Nero being her nephew, she isn’t actually that close to him. This is mainly because she doesn’t know this until the end of DMC5 and hasn’t had time to interact with him otherwise. Though she does try to look out for him, he is family and she cares that he’s safe.
Kyrie- has briefly met Kyrie and thinks she’s a godsend. She is such a nice and lovely girl and so friendly. Not to mention she makes good food. She admires her and Nero’s love and honestly hopes to be invited to their wedding.
Sparda- Never met him
Eva- never met her.
Extra!-
Carden Antonio and Juwia Evonna- Ivey’s twin son and daughter. She almost died giving birth to them but every day she still thinks about how worth it it was. These two are her everything, and she will do whatever she can to keep them safe and alive. They were her main reason for becoming the queen of fire hell and the main reason she was horrified of Mundus. She needed to protect them and one wrong move could get them and herself killed. Because of extenuating circumstances, she mainly raised them by herself with some other mythical folks she met in her travels. Dante knew about them but didn’t really get to meet them until the events of 4, which both of them still feel very guilty over. They were just two people trying their best and doing what they thought was best, but they were wrong. The kids love their parents a lot though, and don’t hold anything against either of them. They’re just happy to have their family.
Beatrice Nova- much like Nero, Ivey doesn’t know a whole lot about Beatrice, and doesn’t have a huge relationship for that reason. Beatrice seems a lot like both her mother, Serephina, and Vergil. This both worries Ivey and gives her hope. She wants Beatrice and Nero to both be safe and not get themselves killed. She is happy that Beatrice gets along even just a little bit with Carden and Juwia. They’re cousins after all, and this family has enough drama in it.
