{Mi riempii di lui, della vista dei suoi capelli luminosi, della morbida curva delle sue labbra inarcate in un sorriso. La mia gioia era così intensa che non osavo respirare.} Questa citazione è tratta da "La canzone di Achille" di Madeline Miller, libro che ho terminato di leggere proprio ieri e che mi ha travolto in un modo incredibile. La storia di Patroclo e Achille, che parte dagli antipodi fino ad arrivare ai famosi episodi della guerra di Troia narrata nell'Iliade, è una storia d'amore dolce, tenera, particolare, troppo particolare da tenerla nascosta. Una storia che riempie il cuore, che non lascia indifferenti, di quelle che non si dimenticano facilmente, e che si ricorderanno per sempre. Miller è riuscita a scrivere dell'amore in una maniera travolgente e soprattutto vera: personalmente non ho mai incontrato un libro che raccontasse dei sentimenti con semplicità, lasciando trasparire al tempo stesso la loro profondità. Con figure retoriche, costruendo una vera e propria poesia in prosa, l'autrice ha raccontato una storia meravigliosa che ti parla diritta nell'anima. Questo è un libro particolare, come la storia raccontata all'interno, è un libro che può essere amato alla follia, oppure no, un libro che può lasciare qualcosa, bisogna solo dargli una possibilità.
