Patrick and Belladonna: We like to think we raised two well-adjusted kids

The Bateman siblings and how I think their parents effected their mental health:

Aristide: I feel like he 10/10 is his mother's child. While he has his father's charisma, he is 90% Belladonna in a trench coat. He has killed a few women, but like his mom, he has this odd urge to preserve them as art. He loves pretty women but only ever kills ones with unique features like heterochromia or unusual freckles. Puts them on "display" for the world. There's a numb feeling that follows him after, like the canvas is still blank. He sort of enjoys the hunt more than anything else. He is an anxious mess like his father though, constantly on the verge of passing out from crying because someone hated his tie.

Odette: Girl, you're just your father. Constant state of denial of it too! Odette definitely is battling some type of personality disorder and recognizes her violent thoughts and urges aren't good. She tries to supplement her fluctuating moods by changing how she looks and her personality to others, dressing unconventionally (she was on pinterest for 3 months in tears), and appearing more bubbly and friendly. Truth is that she's holding on by a thread and she's constantly afraid of hurting someone and not knowing if it was real or not. Her father assures her that everything will be okay.
