It's early afternoon and our pasta is almost al dente when I hear a young men's voice talking to us: "Alegría, alegría". Before I can get out of the van, the guy already vanished, leaving my brother puzzled and with a little ball of weed in his hand. - Smiling about our first encounter in Santiago, I keep on stirring the tomato sauce. A couple of minutes later, a motor bike stops next to us, turns out it's our weed guy again. He got worried and came back to let us know what it is he gave us. Sometimes we are lucky and find a parking spot like this one. And then there was our night in Santa Barbara. The sun just set as the van is groaning getting the last meters up the steep hill. We did not exactly find an abundance of sleeping options in this little town, so we were happy to park in front of the cemetery for the night. Should be quiet. As I was ready to throw the pasta into the boiling water, there is a corpse transport driving up, lifting a heavy body out of the car and offering us a first row view onto the silhouette that is covered by some light foil.
