Transitioning from uneven backboard/tile to drywall?
https://imgur.com/a/epaxrD8
So I think I made a mistake in setting my tub for this remodel. I set it against flush the plumbing wall, and now there’s some room to shim out on the back wall. Because of that, the cement board will land proud of the drywall when all is said and done and a bit more with tile. I’ve got the backer board shims to allow it to go over the flange.
I thought there were schluter transition strips I could use here, but then started thinking about how the normal use case for them is flush surfaces. Is there any transition that could be done here? (And if so, could anyone link a specific product, my search wasn’t so promising)
Or is there another way to tackle this? The tub is mortared in, so that ship has sailed. I don’t mind it being proud as long as there’s a fairly clean way to transition it, open to ideas. Thanks!!
