While writing conciliatory relationships, I like to switch it up between "one party is the concilliated and one party is the concilliator" (as in canon) and "both concilliate and are concilliated", though the former is never quite as strict as canon.
For example, in Eldred, Leusse, and Mentis's auspisticism, the concilliator is pretty clearly Eldred, but Leusse and Mentis do also have to auspitize between the other two from time to time, especially towards the end of their relationship when things are falling apart. This is especially interesting considering how badly their ashen relationship is failing, honestly. Eldred tries his best to be a good auspitice while dealing with growing feelings of dissatisfaction with the relationship and the knowledge that there's something else going on that he doesn't understand, which over time make maintaining the relationship increasingly daunting. Mentis will occasionally try to more overtly control Eldred like she does with Leusse, and Leusse "auspitizes" them to keep her off him. Mentis' attempts at auspisticism are also fake, even more so than Leusse's, because when their relationship starts failing it's Leusse that tries to fix it, mostly by talking to Eldred, and Mentis finds excuses to "mediate" as a way of getting between them before they realize just how much of a problem she is or try to break up.
Meanwhile, in every single instance of Laedre/Cuimia moirallegiance (they're the meowrails of Fragments sheerly in the sense that every Laedre is in a moirallegiance with their respective Cuimia. Which, funnily enough, was an accident.) it's a situation where they're both concilliating. Both Peleme and Pasque, despite being generally very nice people, can be exceptionally violent at times, Peleme because of how she was socialized and Pasque because he's used to being powerless and living in fear. Leusse helps reroute Peleme's more aggressive urges into the relatively non-dangerous and objectively funny outlet of cartoon villainy. Carcer handles Pasque's issues at the source: he and Pasque have been through a lot of shit that, while very different, has a lot of similarities, and they've both got some similar feelings about it. He's got a sort of "if we're backed into a corner, at least we're in it together" that works wonders on Pasque's feelings of powerlessness in a way that a less pessimistic form of comfort just can't. On the other hand, you've got Leusse and Carcer, queen and king of self-destructive behavior. I'll elaborate on this part another time, but the long and short of it is that Peleme keeps Leusse out of trouble because she's one of the few people whose advice Leusse respects; meanwhile Pasque does his moirail duties the way they're more typically portrayed, in that he comforts the bullshit out of Carcer.
None of this is to say, of course, that the first type of conciliatory relationship is bad and the second is good. I picked the examples I picked because they're the most prominent examples of conciliatory romance in Fragments.

You know, a lot of my characters had relationships with one another that I couldn't originally explain or define, and for most of them I got it figured out, but not Rephel and Pasque. What are they? Friends? Enemies? Lovers? (Unlikely). Are they close, or more like acquaintances? Do they argue or get along? Do they miss each other when they're not together? I dunno. I just know that they're Something to each other.

The main difference between Beforan Pasque and Alternian Pasque/The Guardian is that Alternian Pasque cut his tits off with a fucking hatchet and Beforus Pasque is normal and didn't do that.

ranking the not cis characters in fragments on how trans they are
Onxitsprite. You'd think they'd score lower due to half of them being cis. However, the half that's cis is the half that leads their storyline about family ties and wishing desperately to be something you're not and don't want to be to please people you love who only want that version of you.
Leusse Laedre. Iconic, beautiful and true, cracks other people's eggs (only once in the comic but it happens more times trust me bro). Also, again, the mistreatment she faces in the comic (primarily, but not exclusively, from Mentis) is supposed to draw parallels to how trans women are treated in real life. 10/10. No notes.
Tembit Timbuk. There's something really really transgender about obsessively wanting to create a "better" version of yourself via cloning.
Tiixit Matsya. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Being openly Not A Girl while in the public eye and being a member of an exclusively female caste did in fact fuck them up.
Medeis Fiaito. Readers not liking Roonei on account of his being a non-binary lesbian who uses any pronouns will be FLOORED when they're introduced to her fucking roommate like three pages later. No one is doing it like Medeis is doing it.
Evosif Fiaito. You can ask xem what xyr gender is if you can fucking find xem. Otherwise perish.
Roonei Cannel. Much like Pasque, just some guy. Scored higher than Pasque for queerness of storyline, but unlike with anyone else who got that honor, I'm not elaborating.
Pasque Cuimia. Unlike his grumblr self (who isn't even fucking named that, technically), has achieved the transmasculine ideal of being Just Some Guy. Also, no more uwu softboy transmascs. Hooray for trans men who Just Fucking Kill People.
#8 out of 25 existing characters#that's like more than a third i think#onxitsprite#leusse laedre#tembit timbuk#tiixit matsya#medeis fiaito#evosif fiaito#roonei cannel#pasque cuimia
