Backstory: Edward "Eddie" Delkins was born to a "happy" married couple named Millie and Jacob Delkins.  He had two siblings. An older brother named Terrance and a two-year younger sister named Elle. His parents always expected a lot from him but hey, he still loved them. He revealed he was trans when he was 6 but of course his parents didn't like that, but his siblings accepted him and helped him go through treatment. When the outbreak happened, he was in his room, reading until he heard his older brother yelling. When he went to check what was going on, he saw two zombies eating his mom. He   lets out a horrific scream as his brother practically threw him, his sister's bunny Fluffball, the family dog Rofee and his sister into the van and drove off. They soon find Pedro who raises them like his own children. In season 5, the Delkins siblings and their dad were reunited. Elle and Eddie had their suspicions and didn't trust him but Eddie pretended to so he could get the truth from him. Once Eddie and his dad were alone, Eddie's dad told him about his plan to wipe out the survivors and demanded him to join them, even guiltripping him but Eddie refused, causing his dad to go off the edge. He soon went  to the survivors and attacked them with the Fireflies. But the fight stopped when Eddie shot his dad. And the rest is history :D

PART 1 - The Bare, Bare Bones

Okay so I have a very general idea of what kind of stuff I’m going for so far.

The entrance is going to be the bamboo forest that we see Jack waking up in during the Pilot episode. Ofc imma put the tennis shoes there too 🗣️‼️‼️

The path’ll kinda curve to either the left or right side of the beach (maybe both?) and then BAM. BEACH.

I honestly don’t know what I’m gonna use for the fuselage. I might find something later tho lol

And there’ll be like, tent items and allat there’ll be an actual tent that has a bunch of medical supplies and magazines and stuff in it when you go inside of it. Cause guess what?? THAT TENT IS GONNA BE SAWYER’SSSS RAHH and another actual tent thats SAYID’S TENT THING THAT HE SET UP FOR SHANNON cause he was SO like… he was so… omg theres no word to describe how MMMPH that was it was just so AUGH

And just before the fuselage the bamboo will shift into normal trees and there’ll be a couple nooks and crannies you can sift upwards through to get to the pascal flats that lead to… THE BARRACKS!! I’ll add the pylons too ofc (which will not be very good for my character since he’s supposed to be Mikhail 😭)

and oh boy. oh boy oh boy the BARRACKS are where its at omg. This is where all the villager houses are going to be!! And do not even get me started on the AMOUNT OF ITEMS THAT PERFECTLY FIT THE BARRACKS. IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE. ITS SO CRAZYYYYYAHHHHHH

there’ll be 2 exits to The Barracks: One thats like a dedicated path to the Submarine Dock (which leads to the actual dock in game!) and a hedge thing off to the left of the barracks with a semi hidden gap in it, similar to the bushes that Sayid, Locke, Danielle and Kate peeked through whilst trying to “rescue” Jack from the others. This will lead to the Pneumatic tube dump, and reenter the Pascal flats.

La barre est haute, car j’ai eu la chance d’avoir des rencontres artistiques fantastiques avec des photographes, illustrateurs et graphistes tels que Nick Knight, Ines & Vinood, Pierre et Gilles, Richard Dumas, Guy Peellaert, Pari Dukovic, Antoine Le Grand, Donald Christie, Frédérique Veysset, Janusz Kawa, Karim Sadli, Antoine Giacomoni….le corse.

Un autre corse magnifique, Pierre Ange Carlotti. Une autre belle rencontre. Sur la même longueur d’ondes.

Dans une journée glaciale et en tenue chic cuir et pailletée, nous avons shooté cette image qui semble sortie d’un film.

Ovniesque, nocturne, captant un moment de surprise. Pierre Ange a réalisé l’image que j’avais en tête depuis le début de l’écriture de cet album. Merci à lui et aux figurants ( Julia, Margueritte, Paul et Soel ) qui ont eux aussi bravé le froid pour m’accompagner dans cette belle aventure qui ne peut qu’être belle, puisque les planètes sont alignées.

Jaké inspirační zdroje provázely vznik inscenace Věřit v šelmy, adaptace stejnojmenného románu francouzské antropoložky Nasstasje Martin v režii Júlie Rázusové?

Piers Vitebsky: Sobí lidé

Francouzský antropolog Piers Vitebsky prováděl zejména v 90. a nultých letech na Sibiři výzkum, při kterém mapoval život pasteveckých komunit po rozpadu Sovětského svazu. Kniha Sobí lidé (2009, SLON) velmi přístupnou formou zachycuje jeho pobývání mezi Eveny, kteří se svými sobími stády v proměněném systému bojují za zachování po staletí udrženého kočovného způsobu života. Kromě příběhů jednotlivých komunit přibližuje také konkrétní okolnosti soužití se zvířaty v náročných podmínkách sibiřské krajiny. „Člověk by se téměř mohl ptát, zda vlastně spíše sob nedomestikoval lovce, protože domestikace přiměla lidi, aby místo zastavování a chytání zvířat ze stád následovali trasy jejich putování, a tak se u nich vyvinula cyklická forma kočovného způsobu života, jak ho známe dnes.“ 

Nastassja Martin, Mike Magidson: How People of Kamtchatka survive at -30° in Winter, Kamtchatka, a Summer with the Evens

Dva filmové dokumenty, které natočila Nastassja Martin s dokumentaristou Mikem Magidsonem, zachycují život evenské komunity v Tvajanu, se kterou Nastassja navázala blízké vztahy, doprovázející ji také v knize Věřit v šelmy. Rozhodnutí Darji vrátit se po rozpadu Sovětského svazu do míst, kde vyrostla, obnovilo socialismem zpřetrhané pouto rodinné buňky k předchozím generacím. Filmy nabízí vzácnou možnost vidět relativně zblízka okolnosti, které v knize zůstávají zahalené do nejasných stínů slov: každodennost života v blízkosti lesa a řeky a křehkou otázku předání tohoto způsobu života nejmladší generaci.

Alice Koubová: Odolnost in Odolná společnost / rozhovor s psychoanalytikem a spisovatelem Borisem Cyrulnikem 

Téma odolnosti nebo resilience jako společenské teorie s námi v přípravách inscenace Věřit v šelmy silně rezonovalo. Nastassja své zranění nahlíží také jako zkušenost dvou sociálních uspořádání – na Kamčatce a ve Francii. Způsoby, jakými oba zdravotnické systémy pečují o zraněnou čelist, Nastassja vnímá jako příznaky přetrvávajícího konfliktu mezi Východem a Západem. Její vlastní vůle k životu a schopnost zotavit se je příběhem odolnosti, která hledá způsoby, jak propojovat světy. Namísto vymezování utváří nový prostor: meziprostor, ve kterém je možné budovat mosty a spojení.

Werner Herzog: Grizzly Man

Film o odkazu člověka, který měl blízko k medvědům. Timothy Treadwell trávil mnoho roků letní měsíce v aljašské divočině pozorováním medvědů grizzly. Byl zřejmě přesvědčený, že světu šelem rozumí lépe než tomu lidskému, dokud při jednom ze setkání s obdivovaným zvířetem nezemřel. Prostřednictvím videozáznamů, které po sobě zanechal, a výpovědí jeho blízkých, vypráví Werner Herzog silný příběh o pobývání na nezřetelné hraně lidství. Prolíná se v něm fascinace divokou šelmou a její svobodou s touhou opustit zraněnou společenskou identitu, poznamenanou alkoholismem a vyloučením.

„Zprostit minulost jejího opakování, to je ten podivný úkol. Zprostit sebe samé nikoliv existence minulosti, ale jejího pouta, to je ten podivný, ubohý úkol.“ Nastassja se ve Věřit v šelmy i v naší inscenaci obrací k těmto slovům Pascala Quignarda ve snaze integrovat událost střetu s medvědem do běhu svého života. Čas mýtu, čas, který nemá orientaci, čas jako fyzikální veličina – čas je tématem, ke kterému se romanopisec a esejista Pascal Quignard celoživotně vrací. Česky vyšly jeho knihy Všechna jitra světa (1998, Odeon), Bludné stíny (2005, Jitro) a Terasa v Římě (2011, Rubato), v přeloženém rozhovoru publikovaném na serveru iLiteratura mluví o své práci a o tom, jak vnímá historii. Předkládá radikální myšlenku, že historie je „ubohá konstrukce orientovaná v čase, aby uklidnila lidi.“

Francouzský antropolog Philippe Descola studoval populace Amazonie a dlouhodobě se věnuje vztahům mezi lidskými a ne-lidskými obyvateli světa. Descola je učitelem Nastassji Martin a vedl její disertační práci věnovanou Gwich’inům, nativním obyvatelům Aljašky. Teze své knihy Beyond Nature and Culture představil také prostřednictvím výstavy The Making of Images, a popisuje čtyři modely, podle kterých lidé na různých místech Země utváří svůj vztah ke světu: naturalismus, animismus, totemismus a analogismus. Myšlení animismu vysvětluje na podstatě masky, která lidskou tvář překrývá tou zvířecí. Nastassja se po setkání s medvědem ocitá v hraničním stavu, který také nahlíží skrze animismus: „Došlo k hybridizaci, a přesto jsem stále sama sebou. Alespoň myslím. Něčím, co se mi podobá a co má navíc rysy animistické masky: Jsem inside out. Animistickou podstatou lidí je pokřivená tvář masky. Napůl člověk napůl tuleň, napůl člověk napůl orel, napůl člověk napůl vlk. Napůl žena napůl medvěd.“ Právě tyto myšlenky se pro nás staly klíčem k uchopení medvědovy přítomnosti v inscenaci.
