✩🔖✨Bookish Merch: I don’t know about you, but I am OBSESSED with bookish stickers! They always attract book lovers for me to befriend on campus and serve as great conversation starters 🥰 The ones pictured on my laptop are from @redbubble. The site is having a 30% off sale right now (use code WINTER22), which means that I will likely end up buying more stickers than I will know what to do with. Comment down below and let me know where you like to put your stickers! I need suggestions seeing that my laptop case has no space left 😭

what's your favorite book in the selection series? what would you do if you were suddenly transported into the book series? -💙
Ohhh, great questions!
I think my favorite is either The Elite or The One. To me, The One has the most action, but The Elite does help flesh the series out.
The Elite has the Halloween ball and discovering about Marlee and Carter. Also when the Italians meet America and Kriss and they, unbeknownst to the other girls, take a stand behind America.
The One has some great quotes (and a great monologue - thank you Aspen, haha) that I can never get out of my head! Also, it's obviously conclusion of Maxon and America's love story and everything gets tied together!
If I was transported into the book series, I guess it would depend on what my role would be once I was there! If I was a member of the selection vs a family member/close friend of one of the selected vs a compete third party unrelated to anyone who's in the selection! Let me know if you want me to delve deeper into this more.

#kieracass https://www.instagram.com/p/Coh597TrdwA/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

“Darling, what’s wrong?”
Darling? The word, so tender and personal, enveloped me. In that moment, any desire I had to fight my feelings for Maxon disappeared. I wanted to be his dear, his darling. I wanted to be Maxon’s alone.

As I reread The Selection series
I go on here and see everyone has new Interests, everyone has grown up and out. But the selection will always be apart of me. This community will always be apart of me and I'm sad to see other people leaving. Glad that they found new things to obsess over (don't get me wrong I have too)
But I also remember my Selection family, I remember the contests, the art, the dresses, the ships and the people - the community I've grown up with and love. Hopefully with the hints about a movie and Keira's new book I'll get that family back.
But for now... I miss you guys

It’s always fun forcing your friends to read The Heir. My lips, however are sealed. She’s getting nothing out of me. @aubreylovesthegames @partylikeawordstar

✩💗☁️Review: Kiera Cass certainly toys with hearts in her first dual pov standalone! “A Thousand Heartbeats” alternates between Princess Annika and Lennox’s perspectives. As a member of the Kadier royal family, Annika lives a life controlled by her duty to her country. As a solider of the Dahrainian army, Lennox lives a life driven by the hope that he will one day reclaim the land that Kadier stole from his people. When Annika and Lennox’s worlds collide, heartstrings become entangled despite the fierce rivalry between their kingdoms. The more they fight their deeply rooted feelings for each other, the more they realize that love truly is stronger than hate. Admittedly I was intimidated by the length of “A Thousand Heartbeats” (seeing that it is twice the size of Cass’ usual books), but the short chapters paired with the compelling plot twists and incorporation of some of my favorite tropes (namely enemies-to-lovers and forbidden love) kept me engaged throughout the novel’s entirety. Another aspect of “A Thousand Heartbeats” that I enjoyed was Cass’ world-building. She immerses the reader in Kadier’s rich history through Annika’s celebration of Founder’s day—a day in which the country’s citizens take part in a fox chase and a painted stone hunt. In a similar fashion, Cass paints a picture of Dahrain by exposing the reader to Matraleit—a holiday centered around love and the first wedding of the first people to walk the earth. My only gripe with this novel is that Cass borrows plot points from her other publications and weaves them into “A Thousand Heartbeats,” making the storyline predictable. However, this issue will not impact first time readers of Cass’ body of work and did not diminish my love for Cass’ storytelling. ➤ 4.25 stars

The Crown // Kiera Cass
“Break the stupid rule, Eadlyn. Marry the man you love. If he’s good enough for you to approve of, then I certainly do. And if the people don’t, that can be their problem. Because who are you?”
“I’m Eadlyn Schreave, and no one in the world is as powerful as me,” I blurted without thought.
He nodded. “Damn right you are.”

So while yes it was irritating for America to be so back and forth in The Elite, I think we forget that she literally told Maxon that she wanted to be his. That she wanted this life. In the very beginning of the book.
It was Maxon who had to decide if she was serious. It was Maxon who chose to back off and see the other girls more frequently even after America’s confession.
So while America was infuriatingly back and forth between her feelings for Aspen and Maxon (because Aspen showing up at the palace was jarring for her...), it was Maxon who had to decide if she was who he wanted too.
It wasn’t just America. It was Maxon as well. It went both ways.
