Eyes are quick to roll as she shifts weight from one foot to the other, arms crossing over chest before she moves to glance around at the mention of the older man. "Oh good, you know how much I love to make your dad happy." Taunted with a bright grin, though it quickly soured by his words. Dramatic sigh as gaze is returned to him with a sneer, "Yeah, you going to tell me what that is, or is this just some sad attempt at a pick-up line?"

she knew it had been coming. the build-up had been happening for a few episodes now, and they’d been told the arc before hand - despite knowing that when the script containing the kiss landed in her hands, she couldn’t help the fact that she felt nervous about it. onscreen kisses came with the territory, but it seemed different when your screen partner was somebody you’d known for years. knocking on their trailer door, she pulled her jacket tighter around her, offering a tight smile when they opened the door. “did you look over the script yet?”

Only one person knew he was coming home and that was his father. Leighton asked his father to keep it a surprise for everyone, especially his wife. Leighton missed her so much and knew that him coming home might get the waterworks to happen. 

When the Uber parked in front of his house, Leighton paid the driver and got out. He smiled before walking up to the front door. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She was going to be in for a hell of a surprise.

The smoke is batted away as a frown pulls at his lips, it seems this night was going to be a lot harder to get through than originally planned. Dean had hoped his partner would have taken it upon herself to finish most of it as was the situation he’d found himself in with others when he constantly pushed off his obligation to them. It seemed she was much more like him then he had realized, a glance up at the other with her words. “We both know the answer to that is no…So if you wanna go ahead and get started without me it would be much appreciated.” He flashed her his most charming smile knowing that it wouldn’t work of course but he’d be stupid not to try.

Brooke was highly unimpressed. She knew when she got paired with Dean a few weeks ago that it was gonna be a struggle, but she hadn’t realized that it was going to be quite this bad. Dark hues rolled at his words as she pulled the assignment out of a folder setting it on the ground between them. “Nice try.” she stated as her eyes found his own. She took one more pull of the cigarette before butting it out in the ashtray on the side table above her. “You may get everyone else to do shit for you, but so do I, so I guess we’re both just gonna have to pull our weight, or fail. Truth is, I don’t really care if that happens, so question falls, do you?”

the moment the guy left he turned towards her , eyebrows raised , “ he is joking , right ? ” luke had gotten all dressed up: a perfectly tailored tux hugging his body , as he ran a hand through his slicked back hair . he had gotten all dressed up for this stupid fund raiser and all he had gotten out of the night was the knowledge that he hated her colleagues .  “ it’s a bad joke , right ? offering you more hours ? ” he tries a half smile , as if he meant to laugh in retrospect . “ funny guy , isn’t he . ”

Sigh slips from lip as woman moves to grasp arm of the man trying best to diffuse the ruffled feathers one of the partners left behind. “He’s just giving me shit,” She tries her best to explain the men who ran the law firm not quite understanding as trophy wives were happy to be rid of them. “We just have a large trial coming up that I was suppose to run,” Leading him toward bar, as free hand sweeps curled red hair over shoulder, “I stepped down and the boys haven’t let it go yet.” She hadn’t let it go yet either to be quite frank, it was a high profile high stakes trail one that sometimes make history and she had willingly bowed out. For him. “Have I told you have devlisihly handsome you look,” Trying yet to change the subject as she allows light orbs to run over his form in the exquisitely made tux. He did clean up quite well.

Ilsa watched Kali closely, noticing the tiny upturn of her lips as they stood facing one another. The other woman was still as lovely as ever, and the agent placed her hands on her hips as she observed. 

“And why would I want to do that?” she asked. “Would you want me to do that? Come on, Kali… Aren’t you at least a little big happy to see me? I know I’m very pleased to see you again. It’s been too long.”

Brows rising gently with the woman's words, she had to give the other credit Kala truly didn’t think she’d have it in her to come back after the way things had ended between the two. Blue eyes sweeping over Ilsa as her hands found her hips, her allure seemed to remain the same after all these years, “I’m not the one who left.” The woman counters, moving past her ex-partner and further into her home. “There must be more to why you’re here than simply missing me,” Voice calls from the kitchen where she’d busied herself with pulling a bottle of wine out. Wanting to give herself something to focus on rather than the brunette.

The tongue runs over teeth before a click is sounded with his comment, arms crossing under the chest. "What we've been through? Is that what we're calling it now?" She'd hardly call it a long relationship, though the woman tended not to let the others in on just when she was in and out of it, leading sometimes to very different timelines. "I'm not avoiding you," Shrugging, a blatant lie, "Didn't realize you would be here; how is your dad, by the way?"
