Almost a beautiful coincidence.#I love how they play on Marcille's vanity to get her to wear the outfit AND repair the situation #It is true her ears make the suit look very cute.#And shout out to our girl for having her priorities straight (heh) and not wanting to rescue her crush in a frog skin suit.#Though we all know Falin would be so into the idea. The painful thing that dungeon meshi never lets us forget is her absence #Falin would love to dress as a frog...She is meant to be there so much that it is painful. Beautiful tragedy beautiful writing.#The red dragon arc starts next week and I'm clawing at the walls. To those who are anime only: Get ready.

Dropout is great because while on a traditional network nowadays you would have one knockout concept and be done with it never revisiting it again dropouts like “okay we love doing that now let’s do it AGAIN and AGAIN and make it BETTER and more COOL and more ENJOYABLE and let’s keep doing it until our hearts tell us to stop and we love doing it so that might be never so long as we’re passionate about it” and that’s so fucking cool, in an era of commodified creativity the enthusiastic passion for the arts that drives dropout is not only refreshing but heartwarming and cathartic as a fellow creative who would love to have the chance to do what I love to do like that.

my mum keeps responding to my covid precautions with “i get it, you’re not ready yet”. like no i just don’t do them anymore. i don’t really need to eat at restaurants or go to crowded places or be in public without an n95. i can watch the movie at home. i can get take out. an n95 is just uncomfortable sometimes but doesn’t stop me from doing anything. i love not getting sick

#SOOOOOO glad i moved out #‘your sibling and i are going out to eat’ have fun! i actually have no desire to do that whatsoever #also both of them have brought covid home and I’ve clocked it every time #my mum’s was after a trip after i moved out where she didn’t wear a mask once (not even at the airport) and then spent the trip texting me #about how the rich food was giving her some stomach trouble and the jet lag was just hitting her so hard #clocked that asap. i think she gave it to everyone else too and then tested after someone else tested positive and got her positive #my sibling was when i was still at home though and they just came downstairs and sat next to me coughing and i have never moved so fast #consistently tested negative so I don’t think they gave it to me but they protested possibly having it until I made my mum test them #and lo and behold I was right! I got pcr tested by urgent care and was negative #i didn’t get the chance to be cautious from the beginning because I was a minor when covid started #but i’m now an adult and moved out and keep all my precautions and tbh I love it #i’m a college student and the only sickness I’ve ever dealt with was an ear infection from a piercing. that’s it #‘don’t you want to embrace your young adult years’ i have two cats and hobbies and love being at home im fine #I don’t want to party or go out or do much of that #coronavirus

#jumblr #jew by choice #jewish conversion #personal thoughts tag #there comes a point where your concerns about if you are an Appropriative Cultural Appropriator hinders your jewish journey #i think a comforting thing is knowing that my incessant fear about this is confirmation that i love judaism #i love it with my heart and soul and (i feel) i'd be a less realized person without it #and i think people who genuinely engage in cultural appropriation just Do Not Care about the cultures they appropriate from #they don't love the culture enough to respect it and that is a big reason that it even IS appropriation #especially when jewish people are INVITING you to do things... it's not appropriation #i dunno last night i was feeling very anxious about lighting the chanukiah candles because i'm alone #but i've also lit shabbos candles. and it's just like... why would i choose not to engage in this when one day i will have to?#this time next year i will have to light candles. as a jew. and if i have no clue how to do it myself then i'll just avoid it #plus... i love my chanukiah and i want to use it. it is currently decorating my room because i love it #i hope they'll let me take pictures of all the chanukiah that'll be at the party #i'm sure they will because they're very open and they are very accommodating. in fact i'm bringing my clarinet too #i haven't touched that thing in well over four years 😭#but jewish music without a clarinet is like a body with no soul. it's impossible. it is not what g-d wants i think.#i just hope my ability to play by ear hasn't been affected by my lack of playing. i don't have perfect pitch tbc #but i fully believe you can know your instrument so well that you develop an ear for perfect pitch #in fact... i refused to memorize my marching band music because i DID develop that 'perfect pitch' ear. that's my dirty secret #i didn't practice in part because i can't have a space where noone could hear me practice and it's embarrassing and private to me #literally EVERY jew in my life has been almost TOO ecstatic about my jewish journey. i'm very thankful for it #i guess i just didn't think i deserved to have people as happy about me being in judaism as i am #so to be clear this is my brain being rude and dumb. this anxiety has NEVER been reinforced by anyone but myself #so i take full responsibility for it. but i think that anxiety is something many/most converts/jews-in-progress feel
