[23:51]
You should’ve known. The moment you saw your partner—now ex—gawking over the person you both saw at the gym was a dead giveaway and you hate yourself for not realising it sooner. Or maybe you hate yourself more for putting so much trust in him. There was always something that your ex did that made you doubt your entire relationship and it makes you wonder why you didn’t see all the red flags until you saw the two in his bed.
Your first thought was to rant about it to someone, but who were you supposed to tell? You can’t tell your siblings, they’d be on your ex’s ass in seconds. You also didn’t feel close enough with the friends you made at work, which left you alone and yearning for someone to comfort you. It was only when you heard the doorbell to your house ringing that you realised there was one person you could rely on—the person that you actually didn’t want to tell.
Your phone lights up beside you and you wipe your tears with the blanket in your lap to see the screen clearer.
Jinyoung: I know you’re home, loser [23:51]
You feel the tears building up in your eyes once again. Why did Jinyoung choose to come over now? Out of all days and all the time he had before, why did he choose to come when you felt like you were at your lowest?
Jinyoung: (Y/n)? I can see your living room lights Open the door I have pizza [23:54]
You see, Jinyoung was someone you met mutually through a friend at work—his name’s Mark—and you clicked pretty well with him. The only problem was that Jinyoung always seemed to catch you at the worst times, which made you feel bad because he always shows up whenever you’re having a breakdown or plotting some form of revenge on your coworker who decided to take your lunch from the pantry. Thunder claps and lightning flashes from outside the window to your bedroom and only then do you realise that it’s storming. Which means that Jinyoung’s standing at your doorstep in the pouring rain.
Jinyoung: I didn’t get soaking wet walking through the rain to your house just for you to say no to pizza. I have beer too [23:59]
You stare at his messages, debating whether you actually wanted him to see you like this. He doesn’t even know whether or not you’re crying.
Jinyoung: I know you’re sad Let me in [00:04]
Oh.
You force yourself out of bed and down the stairs of your home to open the front door. Jinyoung stands at your doorstep, water dripping from the strands of his wet hair and sliding down his face. In his hands are a large pizza box and a plastic bag filled with bottles of beer.
“How did you know?” you ask softly as you move aside to let him into your house. He rubs his feet against the plush carpet right in front of your door, trying to get his feet as dry as possible before making his way into your kitchen. Jinyoung’s hand gestures for you to sit on one of the barstools at your kitchen island while he pulls his wet coat off of his shoulders and balls it up before leaving it on your counter; making a mental note to clean that up later.
“I always do,” Jinyoung mutters as he opens the pizza box. He’s thankful that he somehow managed to keep the pizza dry or else he would’ve had to be faced with both your tears and rain pizza. You’re silent as he pushes the box towards you before pulling out two bottles of beer from the orange plastic bag that’s now perched on your countertop. You give him a weird look that makes him sigh, “Mark hyung told me.”
“And how did Mark figure it out? I didn’t tell anyone.” You pull one of the slices out of the box and take a bite out of it. It isn’t as hot as you’d prefer your pizza to be, but you can’t expect Jinyoung to have fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza when you left him standing outside in the rain for more than ten minutes.
“Mark hyung introduced you to the cock head. Of course he’d know,” he says as he pops open both bottles of beer, sliding on towards you. “What happened?”
“What do you want to know?” you look away from the slice and let your eyes meet Jinyoung’s. His face and body language never seemed to show that much emotion, but his brown eyes always held every single word that he wanted to say.
Jinyoung’s shoulders raise into a shrug, “whatever you want to tell me.” You hesitate with pizza in your mouth, chewing slowly before you sigh and tell him everything. Half a pizza and three beer bottles later, you feel relieved.
“And now I’m just sulking in my house,” you mutter when you finish your fourth slice of pizza. Jinyoung blinks a few times and his eyes drift away from you for a moment as he takes in the entire story.
“I have an idea,” he speaks up after a moment, his back straightening as the idea brews in his mind. “I’m not usually one who condones revenge because it’s petty and it wastes my time, but…” Jinyoung trails off when he sees you perking up.
“What’s your plan?” you quickly ask.
He smirks, “I’m thinking lots of toilet paper and lots of glitter.”
Tumblr media
“Why am I here again?” Mark asks but Jinyoung quickly shushes him.
“We’re here to get back at (Y/n)’s ex.” The older man gives him a weird look but obliges anyway, hands grabbing at the envelopes filled with glitter and signed with different names and addresses to avoid suspicion. “Are you ready?” Jinyoung turns to you and you nod as you pull the hood of your jacket over your head to hide yourself.
“You do know that we could get arrested for vandalism, right?” he points out.
“That just fuels the adrenaline,” you hum with a smile when you turn back to him. The corners of Mark’s lips lift into a smile when he sees the mischief painted on your face. You’ve convinced him only because Mark’s a bit of an adrenaline junky and he’d do anything just to feel alive.
The three of you climb out of Jinyoung’s car and quickly make your way into the bushes of your ex’s garden, hiding under the cover of night with a bag full of toilet paper rolls. Mark tears himself away from you and Jinyoung to stuff the envelopes into the empty mailbox before regrouping. Each of you get a few rolls and the revenge plot begins. Call it childish, but you had never felt so much rush within you from throwing toilet rolls. You swing one of the rolls over the house, frowning when you see the way it bounces off of the wall and falls back into the garden.
“Watch this,” Jinyoung chuckles. You watch as he swings his arm with more strength and force, the roll flying straight over the roof and leaving a trail of toilet paper behind it that drapes over the top of the house.
“Show off,” Mark snorts as he throws a roll. Jinyoung scowls at that and throws the roll right at his head, earning a whine from your coworker. “Is that all of them?” he asks. You rummage through the now empty tote bags and nod just as the lights to one of the rooms turn on.
“Fuck, we have to go.” Jinyoung grabs onto your wrist and the three of you run out of the garden and straight into his car. The front door swings open and you hear distant yelling just as Jinyoung slams his foot on the accelerator, speeding out of the neighbourhood as fast as he can to stop your ex from seeing his license plate. Giggles and laughter erupt from the three of you once you’re out of the neighbourhood.
“Feel any better?” Mark laughs when he sees how bright you look as compared to the past two weeks and how dull and tired you’ve been.
“I feel fucking amazing,” you breathe out a laugh, turning to your side to look at Jinyoung who laughs from behind the wheel.
“I’ll be taking food as thanks,” he jokes.
“Oh, shut up,” you roll your eyes playfully, unable to stop the smile that feels permanently etched on your face. “I’m actually surprised that you, out of all people, thought of this.”
“That’s exactly what I said when he called me,” Mark chuckles.
“I don’t know,” Jinyoung shrugs with a content sigh. “Never really liked that guy anyway. I felt like you deserved better, so revenge was the first thing that came to mind when you told me.” You keep your eyes on him for a moment, basking in the adrenaline that courses through your veins. Mark cocks an eyebrow at the way the car slowly falls into silence.
“Thank you, Jinyoung,” you hum after a moment.
“Yes, thank you, Jinyoung,” Mark snickers. “It’s nice to see you having all this fun when you’re usually so stone cold.”
“I’m not stone cold, I’m just unresponsive,” Jinyoung corrects him.
“Unresponsive until someone grazes your shoes with theirs,” you quip, making Mark laugh.
Jinyoung gasps, “those shoes were white and they were expensive! Anyone in the right mind would be upset!” You and Mark’s giggles are only heightened at how Jinyoung starts nagging you two for stepping on his white shoes once a few years back.
“Alright, alright,” Mark says in between laughs, “we’ll be more careful when you’re wearing white shoes.”
“I wouldn’t mind if it was (Y/n), but hyung,” he emphasizes on ‘hyung’, hinting at the fact that Mark acts like a teenager despite already almost breaching his thirties. “I would’ve expected at least some respect for my white shoes from you!”
“Dude, just soak them—that’ll take the stain right off.”
“They’re leather!”
“Let’s just agree not to ruin Jinyoung’s white, leather shoes, so that he’ll stop nagging at us,” you giggle. Jinyoung whines in response as he glances at you. Mark makes another comment that has Jinyoung practically fuming. He’s lucky that it’s a red light because he puts the gear into neutral and reaches behind to grab onto the black hoodie of Mark’s jacket, the older man whining and crying in response while you watch with pure glee.

Im Jaebeom x female reader / 503 words / angst / fluff
Warnings: cursing, miscommunication, mentions of anxiety
66. “I’m never leaving…I promise.”
⊱ ──────────────────────── ⊰
It was late, but you were hoping your boyfriend would return home soon. He had moved companies to finally create the music he wanted without being constantly criticized for his unique taste. It was one of the happiest you had ever seen Jaebeom, even though he would be parting from the boys for a bit to create music alone, he knew it would be worth it and you would be there to support him until they returned.
You opened Twitter to see a shocking headline, ‘GOT7’s JB seen at the airport to move to the US after signing with Universal Records’. You felt your body begin to shake with anxiety. It had been a few days since you last saw Jaebeom since he was at the company making music, but you never once thought he would leave for the States without telling you? You jumped up from your shared bed, grabbing your jacket and purse and running out the door. You looked like a mess yet you could care less. You knew he had signed with Universal Records after leaving JYP, but moving to another continent? He wouldn’t, not without telling you.
You tried calling him over and over again, only to be met by his answering tone each time, “What the fuck is going on JB?” You quickly made your way into this company building, scanning your pass before moving towards the elevator to find which room he was in, hoping to god he actually wasn’t at the airport.
“Jaebeom! JB! Where are you?” You cried, feeling the hot tears rolling down your pink cheeks, “Baby, where are you? Please tell me you didn’t actually leave,” You continued to sob as you fell to the ground in the hallway.
You heard a door open before a pair of hands were placed on your back and then wrapped around you, “Y/N? Y/N, what are you doing here? It’s so late. Are you okay? Why are you crying baby?” You lifted your head to see your boyfriend staring down at you with panic in his eyes as he examined your face to make sure you weren’t hurt.
You threw yourself into his chest, tightly holding onto him as if he was to leave and never come back, “Please don’t leave! I saw the headline of you leaving to the States and you didn’t answer my calls.”
“Baby, I’m so sorry,” He hugged you even tighter, wanting to show you how sorry he was, “That was a rumor the media outlets made up since I was at the airport recently to get a new passport for when we go and visit Mark next. I wouldn’t just leave like that, especially without telling you,” He pressed a kiss to your forehead as you sniffled up at him.
“Please never leave me. I’ve never been so scared in my life,” You tried your best not to cry anymore.
Jaebeom smiled down at you before placing a piece of your hair behind your ear, “I’m never leaving…I promise.”

Tumblr media
“i want to take every single one of these puppies home” you pouted looking at all of those hopeful eyes and loud barks directed to you.
“i know baby, but let’s settle with one first, okay?” jinyoung patted your back softly, guiding you through the shelter.
ever since you two moved in together four months ago, you didn’t stop whining about getting a dog and today, finally, jinyoung gave in and brought you to the dog shelter.
yet, he didn’t prepare for the fact that you’re going to try taking every single dog that is in here and it’s really hard for him to say no to you.
“oh my god, look. he’s so cute” you cooed, crouching down in front of a puppy. “look, he likes me”
jinyoung smiled when the dog jumped on your lap and immediately started to lick your face. he could clearly see that you’re not going to let this dog go, so he lowered himself down to your level to pat the dog as well.
you both sat down on the floor and played with the puppy for a while, until a shelter’s worker came to you with a smile on her face and documents in her hands.
“is it a wrong guess that you will be taking this little cutie home today?”
“we will, and we should do it quickly before she sees another one” jinyoung chuckled and stood up, taking the documents into his own hands and signed it.
he helped you stand up and gave you a soft kiss on the lips. “well, this is the start of our little family”

Super energetic for the events in your life and it genuinely makes him sad when he can’t make it
Gets sooo excited to see you after so long like a literal puppy
When he gets mad he speaks so fast you have no time to interject
And when he’s mad he won’t be willing to listen to what you have to say
Gets distracted easily
Sometimes you’ll rant and at the end of it he’ll be like “YA! THE GUY SUCKS.” And you’ll look at him like ??? And he’s like “… sorry I wasn’t listening”
Isnt afraid to clown you ESPECIALLY when you clown him
You know like the Blake Lively - Ryan Reynolds type flirting? It’s exactly like that between u two. It’s obvious you guys are together but in the insta comments you’ll just act like “I have no idea who this man is”
Knows what you like to order at any restaurant
I feel like if you guys didn’t work out you could still be friends. His love for you is apparent either way.
He loves you more than anything and you know it

park jinyoung - bullied
Tumblr media
Pairing: Park Jinyoung x Reader | Genre: angst & light fluff | Warnings: bullying, name calling, little bit of physical assault, swearing, angry Jinyoung, self-depreciating thoughts | WC: 1.1k
Request: can i please request for a jinyoung fic where he sees you getting bullied in college by some guys and he stands up for you and helps you get those negative thoughts away
Tumblr media
You were used to this by now as you were pushed up against the wall. You had always been a little socially awkward, not having the easiest time fitting in with the people around you. You weren’t that athletic either and if you were being honest, a little skimpy. Your parents used to tease you because you were so thin that the slightest breeze could blow you away—like a paper doll.
This always made you the targets for bullies. You had always been bullied when you were in school, it only got worse as you got older. However, when you had started college you had hoped that it would end. There were thousands of other people on campus aside from you and you were all grown adults now. You had hope for the first time in a very long time that the bullying would stop.
However, much to your dismay, it didn’t. One of the more popular boys on campus had confessed to you out of the blue one day. You didn’t even know what to say as you had never had someone confess to you and were content with all your crushes being one sided. You had succumbed to the fact that you were probably going to live alone for the rest of your life.
An assignment had brought the two of you together and he genuinely seemed really nice. However, he always was wanting to see you in secret. Wouldn’t introduce you to his friends and would ignore you even when you would see him in classes or in the hallways. You ended up breaking up with him, over text. You had no other choice. He was refusing to see you and you knew you deserve much better than this.
Unfortunately, that’s when the bullying picked back up. All of a sudden, all his friends knew that you two had dated. None of them could believe it though. Which led to teasing and taunts in the hallways. Mean notes were slipped into your bag or left on your dorm door. Occasionally there were times like this too. Where you would be slammed into the wall while the group of them teased you.
“I can’t believe you really thought I liked you, Y/N,” He sneered, and you gulped, feeling the familiar lump form in your throat, “Have you looked at yourself?” You felt your knees get a little weak and you wished you had the strength to just run past them. Once you were back in the comfort of your dorm you could break down, alone.
However, you had looked at yourself and you could—sadly—understand what he was saying. You weren’t uncannily pretty and you would say you were pretty average. There was nothing special about your face or your body. You were still abnormally thin and meek and timid. He didn’t need to tell you things you already knew, but then again, it just confirmed what you already thought about yourself.
“Seriously, out of everyone he could choose you expect us to believe that he picked you? You’re nothing,” One of the girls said, flipping some of your hair behind your shoulders.
You hated how you cowered away and how your hands started to shake. Like the good little girl you were raised to be though, you kept your mouth shut and eyes down. It would end soon enough and they’d get bored. Then you’d be alright for the rest of the day. One of the other males came right up to you and you backed away until your back was pressed against the wall. You didn’t like that he was so close in your personal bubble, but you were too afraid to say anything. Just as he was about to reach out to you though, he was pushed back and you saw a tall male standing in front of you, back facing you.
“Have you ever heard of personal space? Back the fuck up,” You had no idea who this man was or why he was defending you right now. How cold and hard his voice sounded made you wince a little. You would hate to be on the receiving end of that.
“Get out of here, it’s none of your business,” One of them hissed.
You still kept your eyes trained on the floor, feeling guilty this man was about to get hurt because of you. But you were too scared to say anything and you knew that you were far too weak to stop if they tried anything physical, “She wasn’t doing anything to you, dipshit. So, leave. Now,” You felt yourself shiver slightly at the coolness of his tone.
“C’mon man, it’s not worth it,” You heard one of his friends say. Thankfully, he walked away, grumbling about something before turning back around to glare at you.
However, the man in front of you just glared back at him, “Are you okay?” You jumped a little as the stranger questioned you. His voice sounded nothing like what you had heard only a few seconds ago.
“I-I’m fine.  S-sorry for causing y-you trouble,” You squeaked out and gave him a bow. He laughed, throwing his head back.
“You have nothing to apologize for. They were the ones being assholes. I’m sorry they did that to you,”  You felt your cheeks heat up at his apology and averted your gaze back to your feet. You jumped a little when you felt his hand lightly brush against your arm.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” You gulped and nodded, knowing your cheeks were probably a fiery red.
“I-I’m used to it, and it’s not like he was totally wrong,” You mumbled the last part to yourself but the strange man heard you and furrowed his brows.
“What do you mean he was right? Nothing he said was right,” You only shrugged your shoulders, biting on your bottom lip.
“I’m Jinyoung,” He held his hand out and you stared at it for a moment before you hesitantly grabbed it with yours and shook.
“I’m Y/N. Thank you for helping me, Jinyoung.” He smiled at you, releasing your hand before he's clearing his throat.
“Want to get some lunch?” He asked and you looked up in shock. No one had ever invited you to eat with them before. Not without some hidden meaning.
“M-me?” You squeaked and he chuckled, eyes turning into crescents as he smiled.
“Cute,” He breathed out and you felt your cheeks heat up again, “Yes, you. I know this really great Chinese takeaway place just a block away!”
You smiled and nodded your head, “I like Chinese food,” So, the two of you went to eat and then it became an everyday occurrence.
It was the start of beautiful friendship and before long, you could feel Jinyoung piecing your self-confidence back little by little. Once it was fully there, you would tell him just how in love you had fallen with him.

[12:56am]
You finally feel the tension leaving your body as the hot water cascades down your back, filling the room with billowy steam, fogging the glass of your mirrors. It’s almost 1 am and you can’t sleep. An impending migraine has been creeping up on you all day and nothing seems to help your body and mind settle like a hot shower.
You’re so focused on methodically massaging the shampoo into your scalp, eyes closed as you breathe in the familiar lavender aroma, that you don’t notice the glass door opening and closing behind you silently. Your eyes fly open as you feel another body pressed against yours and you breathe out a sigh as a familiar arm wraps its way around your waist.
You tip your head back, resting it against a broad, solid chest. You smile to yourself as your lover’s hand sweeps across your hip, rubbing slow circles into the skin there, collecting drops of soap as it drips down from your hair.
“Can’t sleep?” Jinyoung asks while bringing his other hand up to caress your throat gently. You let out a groan at the feeling of his lips against the soft skin at the base of your jaw, feeling yourself relax further into his embrace.
“I think I can help with that.”

[03:51pm] you climb on top of your shared bed and hover over jinyoung, straddling his waist before resting your head on the crook of his neck, he chuckles and wraps his arms around your waist, amused by your sudden clinginess.
"babe?" you call, "can we please adopt a cat?"
jinyoung eyes you for a second, the way you randomly came into the room and almost immediately made yourself comfortable on top of him like a koala, while rocking the biggest hoodie with fluffy socks. He can't help but let a breathy giggle escape his lips.

Tumblr media
A half-eaten piece of butter and sugar bread. An emptied mug decorated with lipstick marks and dried stains of coffee. An abandoned maroon scrunchie, Jinyoung’s favourite, especially when it was tangled within your curled locks. Papers, papers, and even more papers littered all over what was once the third-floor meeting room table. Bits and pieces of sticky notes and ‘Sign Here’ flags in every colour of the rainbow stood out amongst the monotonous documents, resembling flicks of watercolour on an artist’s canvas. A web of cables connecting your laptop to its second monitor and to the power outlet hung haphazardly on the very edge, threatening to fall off the table.
And there you lay, in the middle of what you would call an organised chaos, with your head resting on an outstretched forearm. Jinyoung could already picture how your face would scrunch up in discomfort when you woke up, triggered by the pins and needles in your limbs. With his hands stuffed deep into the pockets of his slacks, he walked further inside for a closer inspection of you in your natural habitat – slumped over a desk, exhausted, and surrounded by the work you loved so dearly.
Ever since high school, Jinyoung preferred numbers and account balances and general ledgers over words and legislations and cases. That was your forte. He could never understand how you willingly stayed up to skim through mountains of case materials without developing a head-splitting migraine. His head would spin and his eyes would go out of focus at the mere sight of your work. Not understanding was not the same as not accepting, though. Sure, if an executive offered him a million dollars to switch places with you, he’d politely decline, but Jinyoung was nothing but supportive of your career from day one.
That’s love, isn’t it? Two people will undoubtedly have their differences, disagreements, and misunderstandings. What’s most important, however, is that these two lovers can come to accept and embrace each other with their entire being. Jinyoung sees it as him doing his thing and you doing your thing during the day, yet coming home to each other during the night. He sees it as him chopping the vegetables and slicing the meat, while you fire up the pan and stir-fry the ingredients. Sure, individually you could make something decent enough to satisfy your hunger, but together… Together, you could create a hearty meal, a labour of love.
Tempted, Jinyoung sat down beside you as quietly as possible and faced you, mirroring your posture. While the two of you worked in the same building, there was never much of a reason or excuse to visit the other during office hours other than the occasional lunch or office-wide gathering. The opportunity to just sit with you and watch you was too precious to pass up.
So he did. He watched, mesmerised by the way the wrinkles on your forehead and the frown on your lips that you wore so often were ironed out completely; entranced by how your smooth skin contrasted with the glistening diamond pendant of your necklace, the one he got you for your last anniversary because you didn’t like promise rings; amazed by your lengthy eyelashes, your soft tresses, your chapped yet pink and utterly kissable lips.
Jinyoung wanted to kiss you, then. He missed the kisses you shared, even though you most definitely locked lips for quite a while when he joined you in the bathroom first thing this morning, still dazed and sleepy. He missed them for a whole other reason. He missed how he could feel your lips involuntarily rise to form a smile, which, although he couldn’t bear witness to due to his incredibly close proximity to your face, he was certain could light up his entire day. He felt his heart squeezing within his chest.
“I miss your happier self.” Jinyoung muttered to no one in particular. A hand reached out to brush against the edge of your lips with a feather-light touch, swiping away a trace of drool. “I like it better when you’re happy. I don’t like it when you’re sad, or stressed. I wish I could take all of that away for you.” His fingers were acting on its own accord at this point, stroking over the apples of your cheeks, soft and tender. “I like your smile. And I like your laugh, even though you sound like a dying seal most of the time.”
You stirred slightly, repositioning yourself to get more comfortable. His fingers halted immediately, eyes wide with alarm, suddenly feeling self-conscious about his whispered confessions. It reminded him too much of the time he first confessed his feelings for you, and you left him hanging for a full fifteen minutes to answer an urgent phone call for your boss.
“At least I can easily identify my girlfriend from her laugh when we’re out with friends…” Jinyoung continued his monologue, withdrawing his hand while grinning to himself.
A soft, annoyed whine emitted from your lips. You buried your face into your arm, curling your body inwards in a desperate search for warmth.
Perhaps you were cold, Jinyoung hypothesised. Reminding you to bring a cardigan or an extra layer of clothing was an integral part of his morning routine. His eyes scanned around the room but failed to find your knitted grey cardigan.
“Cold…” You complained, eyelids batting as you slowly woke from your nap. “Hmm? Jinyoung?”
A shiver ran through your body, forcing you to fold your arms inwards to compensate for the chilly air blasting out of the air-conditioner. This didn’t go unnoticed by Jinyoung, who was rushing to remove his blazer. He carefully placed it on your curled-up body and gave your shoulders a light squeeze before starting to organise the scattered papers.
“Why… How come you’re here?” You paused, letting out a yawn. “What time is it? Are you done for the day?”
He reached for your lame excuse of a sandwich and threw it out without a second thought. “I am, I packed up and came to check on you.”
Jinyoung shot down your pained expression at the wasted food with a stern look of his own, the one that made interns cower in fear. You knew better than to get intimidated, of course, and made a silly face at him. He shook his head at your silliness, poking your side as revenge. You squealed. “Move your butt, babe. Let’s get you home.”

Jinyoung x Reader
Request:  I would like to request a time stamp or anything of that sort of artist!reader painting on Jinyoung's back while he naps,, thank you!!
Genre: Fluff
2:25 p.m.
Slow, shallow breaths fill the room. The smell of fresh paint has burnt its way into your nose. Jinyoung, asleep with his back open to the world, is not prepared for the attack he is about to receive. The first stroke of a paintbrush glides down his back leaving a streak of blood red in its aftermath. You were too concentrated on blending to notice Jinyoung waking from his nap “What are you up to?” Your body tenses at the sudden fright “Practicing some techniques for my upcoming painting.” You have fully prepared yourself for him to lash out in anger. “Oh, okay. Just make sure the paint doesn’t stain.” Jinyoung nestles into the blankets, falling back asleep, leaving you perched on his back in shock. Jinyoung knew he had you at a loss for words, usually he would have been a tad bit aggravated, but he wanted to support you in your art career, and if that meant being a practice canvas then he would gladly give his whole body to you.

A/n: I highly, highly, highly recommend that you listen to this while you read. It’s Studio Ghibli and it gave me the inspiration to write this so it’ll set the vibe uwu
Tumblr media
[20:03]
“Quite the ball your parents have hosted.” The voice makes you turn around to see the prince from the neighbouring kingdom.
“They host quite grand events,” you hum.
“Prince Jinyoung,” he bows, introducing himself.
“I know who you are, your highness,” you chuckle. “The need to introduce yourself has passed.”
“I haven’t spoken to you in a while. Wouldn’t want you to forget me,” Jinyoung teases.
“You and your jokes,” you roll your eyes, a small smile tugging at your lips.
“Is it not a duty for me to make The Princess (Y/n) laugh at least a little bit?” He holds his chest to mock hurt. “For someone who claims their parents host quite grand balls, you look rather dull. Are you not enjoying the ball, princess (Y/n)?”
“You know I’m not one for balls. The only need for them is for my parents to find me a prince to court.” You take a sip from your drink, turning your attention to the crowd.
“I always thought balls were more fun with music,” he comments. As if on cue, the live band in the corner of the ballroom starts. The crowd scatters to form space in the centre. “Dance with me, your highness” Jinyoung extends his hand in your direction when the music starts playing.
“I’m not much of a dancer,” you shake your head. You were never one who cared much for balls since you didn’t really enjoy dancing.
“Just take my lead.” The young prince tugs on your hand despite your protests, leading you to the centre of the ballroom. His left hand is firm on your waist, his right holding your hand up, “follow my movement. If I sway left, then your left foot takes a step back. If I sway right, you take a right step back.” Jinyoung is slow at first, testing the waters while you carefully follow his movements. “There you go,” he praises once you seem to get the hang of it. “Soon you won’t even have to think about it. Relax your body. Just move with the music,” he hums.
Jinyoung guides you around the ballroom, in the centre of the crowd of other nobles who sway with the rhythm of the music. You start to understand why the balls your parents would host were such big things. You let your body do the moving, your mind solely focused on how Jinyoung’s body slowly relaxes the more accustomed you become to dancing.
“I’m going to twirl you now,” he tells you. When he twirls you around, you catch a glimpse of the jealous women watching you, glares directly towards you. Jinyoung lowers you, your left leg extending out naturally to balance yourself.
“Those ladies are giving me quite the glare,” you chuckle.
“Who are they to say anything when you’re the princess?” he grins cheekily as he pulls you back to your feet. You understand why they would be so jealous. Jinyoung is absolutely gorgeous. His dark red suit is perfectly tailored to fit the young prince, the fabric soft under your hand as he continues to bring you around the ballroom. “The tempo might get a bit faster,” Jinyoung warns you when he hears the music slow down, his face filling with worry that you might panic.
“Then let your rhythm carry mine, dear prince.” All traces of worry fades from his face. His grip tightens more securely. Just as he had predicted, the tempo became way faster than before. You follow the movement of his body, your feet starting to become lighter the more you dance. Every other being in the room seems to disappear when the tempo slows to become something more… romantic. You’re only focused on Jinyoung.
“You’re doing well for someone who said they don’t dance much,” he quips.
“Oh hush,” you roll your eyes, unable to stop the smile growing on your face. “I don’t enjoy dancing that much because I never seem to have a partner.” The tempo starts speeding up, but you barely even notice it. You only realise it when Jinyoung spins you around, stopping you when you’re right in front of him; faces inches apart.
The music has come to a halt as well, soft applause erupting from the crowd that was watching the dance. The both of you are breathing heavily. Your hand slowly slides down from Jinyoung’s shoulder, stopping above his heart where you feel his heart beating rapidly while he pants softly.
“You are quite the natural dancer, Princess (Y/n),” he praises.
“All with your guide, Prince Jinyoung,” you smile. “It’s quite warm in here,” you mutter as you look around. There’s a light sheen of sweat on your skin that would ruin the makeup you spent quite a while on.
“Shall we head to a balcony to get some fresh air?” Jinyoung suggests.
“That just might be what I need right now,” you smile.
“You mentioned that the reason you didn’t enjoy dancing was because you didn’t have a partner?” he questions once on the balcony, the two of you shying away from the crowd.
“The other princes are rather rude. More often than not, they act snobbish and treat me as though I’m not of royal blood. Princesses, on the other hand, refuse to dance with another princess because of competitive reasons.” You pause to let out a sigh. “The women that were glaring at me? A handful of them were princesses from other kingdoms.”
“Why care what the other princesses think?” he questions. You turn to him, your eyes silently asking to elaborate more on his question. “Forget I said that,” Jinyoung clears his throat, shaking his head lightly. “If I may, I would like to ask you to be my dance partner.” Your eyes widen, a blush creeping onto your cheeks. “You’re quite the dancer, (Y/n). I would like to have more dances with you if you would allow me to.” You check his eyes for any sign of mischief, but there’s only genuinity in his soft brown eyes.
“I would love that.”

Park Jinyoung x female reader / 680 words / smut
Warnings: blindfolding, oral female receiving, dirty talk
Disclaimer: contains 18+ content; minors do not interact
Day eight of kinktober - park jinyoung x sensory deprivation
⊱ ──────────────────────── ⊰
“I promise you’ll enjoy it more than you realize. Just relax baby,” Jinyoung grinned at you as he pressed a soft kiss to your lips before placing the silk blindfold over your eyes.
You bit your lip in anticipation as you rubbed your thighs together, not being able to contain your excitement. You had always wanted to try this, but nonetheless, you were still nervous since it was something new. Your boyfriend did his best to reassure you that if you felt uncomfortable or weren’t enjoying it, he would remove the blindfold and that his feelings wouldn’t be hurt one bit. All he cared about was making sure you felt good and he could show you a different form of pleasure you’d been missing out on.
Jinyoung smirked to himself as he spread your legs, admiring the wet patch on the front of your cute light blue panties. His hands traveled dreadfully slow to rest onto your thighs as his lips found purchase on your collarbones before he began nipping at your skin to find your sensitive spot. You were already squirming underneath him as your hands gripped the soft sheets, while a few desperate whimpers left your lips.
“How are you feeling, baby?” Your boyfriend asked, finding the spot on your neck that made you see stars and cry out to the heavens.
You couldn’t help but loudly moan from the sudden intense pleasure you felt from his lips, “Oh god, you were right. This is way better than I thought,” You couldn’t stop whimpering from how desperately you wanted him, “Jinyoung, please.”
“Use your words, baby. I can’t pleasure you properly if you don’t tell me,” He snickered to himself as he found your desperate attempt amusing. His fingers crept closer to your soaked core as he gently played with the hem of your panties, loving the breathily sigh that left your lips.
“I want you inside of me,” You whined out, feeling as if you could cry from how frustrated you were. You were craving him, needing him to be closer to you, so much that you tried to reach out for him, but it was quickly shut down as his hand flew up to grab your wrist and pin them above your head.
“Bad girl. Only good girl’s get to be rewarded,” He purred, watching how your body squirmed around simply from being stared at by him. The anticipation killing you, “I’ll touch you, but you’ll have to work for my cock now.”
Without another word, you felt him move your panties to the side before inserting one of his long fingers into your sex. A loud moan erupted from your throat as you felt your walls clench around him single finger, pulling him further into you. Jinyoung felt himself growing harder from the beautiful sight in front of him as he inserted a second finger, wanting to see how hard he could push you till you broke. His thumb came up to rub circles into your sensitive clit as your back arched off the bed with a desperate string of moans releasing from your mouth.
He chuckled at the sight, adding a third finger before curling them inside of you. Your walls were pulsing like crazy as his pace on your clit increased, sending you over the edge as you came all over his fingers. Your body contorted from pleasure as you did your best to calm your breathing and steady your heart rate. Jinyoung removed his fingers from you before putting them into his mouth to taste just how sweet you were. He let out a satisfied moan from your sweet essence as he carefully removed the blindfold from your eyes.
“How was that baby?” Jinyoung asked, laying next to you before pulling you into his arms.
You moved to straddle his lap as you smirked down at him, “Amazing. So amazing, that I thought I’d keep this high going for us both,” You both smirked as Jinyoung pulled you down to encase your lips in a heated kiss, “Round two, here we come.”

[11:16] You sighed as you felt Jinyoung’s fingers slip into your panties. Your legs spread of their own accord and you heard him chuckle lightly at your reaction as his fingers started to rub your clit in slow smooth circles. You melted at the contact, moving your hips slowly to follow the movement of his fingers as he gathered your arousal and started to tease you until your moans grew a little whiny.
“Do you want more, babe?” His morning voice was rough and it sent arousal rushing through you as you nodded and pressed your hips towards his hand.
A moan left your lips as he sunk a finger into your heat. His skilled finger moved just the way you liked and you let your body move with his movements, moaning for him and feeling him growing harder as he pressed against your hip.

Never Not - Park Jinyoung
Tumblr media
Pairing: idol!Jinyoung x gender neutral reader
Summary: Your bad day is turned around when your childhood best friend, Jinyoung, returns to your hometown and takes you on a tour of your favourite memories together.
Genre: angst, fluff, friends to lovers
Warnings: suggested sexual experience
Word Count: 4.3k
Requested by: Anon
A/N: Hi guysssss. I took a small break from tumblr bc I got super busy with work. I haven’t written something like this in a while, but I actually loved how it turned out. I recommend listening to Never Not by Lauv to get into the mood <33
Effort was hard to make these days. Even the way you walked had an unmistakable slouch. Your exhaustive strides were just a shallow reminder that there used to be a hop in your step. Five more minutes and you were free from the shackles of work. Free to figure out what to make for dinner, and appease the gurgles of your stomach. The seconds on the point of sale system didn't seem to move fast enough as you folded the customer's final item and shoved it into a bag.
When you were a kid, no one told you how exhausting being an adult was, and thus it became something to look forward to. You were so caught up on getting that first kiss, sneaking out to go to parties, seeing people that your parents didn't approve of, that you didn't realize that life didn't slow down from there. It was like you blinked, and you were no longer 16. Instead, you were twenty-something perpetually feeling like life was just an endless pit of "what ifs" and building up the courage to make something of yourself. Another mindless "Have a good day." escaped your lips as you bid a customer bye for the nth time that day. You wondered how many of your years would waste away telling others to have a good day, when you yourself hadn't had one in a while.
You pressed your fingers against your temple to sooth a small growing headache. Working in retail for as long as you had, you knew that the s-curved line of people didn't stop for your discomfort. With a fake smile on your face, you welcomed the next few customers as your eyes wandered around the store looking for the person who was going to take over for the next hour. Fifteen minutes past the hour, your replacement finally came. Externally, you wanted to scream and ask them what took you so long? but you knew that would only make you as good as the worst customer. Graciously, you nodded at them, before walking away to the back room to fetch your things and head out.
...
You stood against the wall at the bus shelter shivering from the cool summer breeze that was disguising just how rapidly autumn was truly coming. Today probably wasn't the best day to forget your coat.  You rubbed your arms for warmth, taking micro footsteps in place.  The pain in your feet made you romanticize the comfort of the sturdy old bus seats as a place of rest. You felt your phone in your pocket vibrate, but you let it ring out. You were determined to get a seat on this bus. A deep sigh escaped you as you surveyed the density of the crowd on the platform- the ride home was definitely going to be longer than usual. When the bus arrived, you queued behind a long line of people. Your phone rang a second time, at this point the crowd was getting larger and you knew you weren't going to get a seat on this bus.
PRIVATE CALLER
"Hello?" you pressed your phone to your ear. Sometimes your mother used phone booths to reach you, so you expected her voice to be on the other end of the line. "I'm offended I had to call you twice for you to pick up."  The voice was much deeper, and the delivery much more lighthearted than anything that would've came out of your mother.  The absence of a greeting was distinct and direct, but no matter, you knew exactly who this was.
You felt the tenseness of your shoulders drop with just the sound of this voice. "If I had definitely known it was you, I wouldn't have picked up, Mr. Private caller." you jest with the phone  pressed between your ear and the crook of your shoulder.
"You know, I was gonna suggest that I pick you up, but just for that comment, I change my mind."
You poke your tongue at your cheek, coyly. For all the changes that occurred in your life, for some reason you could depend on Jinyoung's quick wit and humour to hit the spot even after all this time.
"That's fine, I just finished work so I was thinking of just going home anyways."  You had no idea he was even back in South Korea. Last you heard, he was on tour somewhere in North America. More than that, you couldn't even remember when the last time you actually talked was. You were curious about what he was up to these days, but you you knew any hint of urgency in your voice would lead to incessant teasing on his part. The line progressed slightly, but you still didn't feel any closer to the entrance of the bus.
"I'm about to get on a bus home."
"Well, don't get on."
"If I don't get on then you're gonna have to repay me for the fare I paid to even get here." You eyed the bus reaching its capacity, and stepped aside. You twisted your fingers in hope that he was being 100% serious, otherwise you were going to have to wait out for the 6:30pm bus.
"I can't believe the cost of your attention is only $2. Do better." the voice quipped.
"Okay, Jinyoung I guess I'll just get on, then." you threatened, although you had no intention of boarding the departing bus.
"Fine, fine. I'll pay for your fare. Just wait for me."
...
The sky had darkened tenfold since you hung up from Jinyoung's impromptu call. The streetlights glowed gold against the lavender backdrop of the sky. You sat on the bus shelter bench, swinging your feet back and forth as you waited for him. If he took even a minute longer, you vowed to somehow become the president of the Park Jinyoung hate club. Of course, you wouldn't actually, but the idea became more appealing the longer you waited.
You weren't one to go on spontaneous outings- at least not since your teenage years. Recently, you followed the strict routine of work, home, sleep, and to stray from it seemed pointless. But the fact that he even thought of you when he came back home to South Korea was still not something you could wrap your head around.
In the distance, a glow of headlights appeared, stopping perfectly adjacent to your bus stop. The window rolled down, and there appeared Jinyoung's face in all its glory. To say all the words in your vocabulary disappeared would be an understatement. A part of you doubted he would even follow through. Without missing a beat, he returned a look to you. "You just gonna stare at me, or are you gonna get in the car?"
...
Your backpack was sitting atop your lap, bouncing with the movement of the car. Jinyoung hung one hand over the steering wheel. The orange and purple of the sky twisting, and creating a brand new colour that only seemed to grace the skies at this hour. The music was unidentifiable, but the volume was low enough that you didn't even bother trying to figure it out.
"So what'd you do today?" he asked.
"I worked, I told you that." you replied, matter-of-factly.
"And how was it?"
"I honestly can't tell the difference between this week and last week. Or even last month. Same old, same old. Annoying customers, stale lunch, forgot my jacket at home even though it's 15 fucking degrees outside."
"Do you still work at that clothing store you started at when we were 20?"
Your eyes shifted, following the ever-changing scenery of the highway. No idea where he was bringing you, and yet you were brought to comfort by Jinyoung's habits.  You knew he didn't have a drug deal, or a random party planned.  Jinyoung was always the type to be home before midnight. He was a self-proclaimed goody-two-shoes, but you weren't completely fooled. You knew he could bend the rules if it seemed to serve him.
  "That exact same one."
 "Anything else?"
You looked at him, the shock settling in that he was really right next to you-- no longer just a figure on a billboard that you used to know. The changes of his physicality were subtle; his face was more defined, but his cheeks still carried the baby fat that had been there since childhood. The shadow of his facial hair loomed on his smooth skin. The mole on the top of his lip, not necessarily gone, but faded. He looked older, but the aura of his presence remained the same.
"And then I was dumb enough to get into a car with a stranger because he said he'd give me $2."
Jinyoung side eyed you, causing you to erupt in laughter. His glare was also unchanging. "Stranger? Your memory's fading already?" He shook his head disappointedly. "I thought you still had a few good years left."
"Oh yeahhhhhh. Sorry Jinyoungie. Didn't recognize you with all the fame." you pinched and pulled on his ear- both things a relic of your grade school years. When you were kids, you never let him forget the age gap. Granted, it was only 3 days, but that gave you the freedom to refer to him however you pleased, while he was stuck with the honorifics.
As you let go, the curve of his ear flushed red. "OWW.” he cried, swatting your hand away. “You’re lucky I’m driving otherwise I would pull your hair.”
Being raised with Jinyoung meant that you were inseparable but kind of in the worst way. If Jinyoung got  a good mark on a test, his parents would immediately flaunt it to yours. If you wanted to sneak out, he was on your tail telling you to go back home. And if he knew you liked someone, then that person would know soon enough by the words of Jinyoung. All of that warranted ear pulling, and if you did something in retaliation he would pull your hair.
He was one of the few people in your life, who encapsulated a certain time of your life.  The time in your life when you were young, and the world felt so big and everything was possible.
The car rocked back and forth as it shifted into the elevated ramp of a parking lot. Your eyes widened as you realized where you were.  He lingered in his seat before popping his seatbelt off and exiting the car. You followed him, swinging the passenger door open.
"So you randomly called me because you wanted to hang out at the...convenience store?" you gestured to the old, orangey building. The bricks were chipped, and the fluorescent lights illuminated the outside through the big glass window.  You remember the days when you and Jinyoung would sit on the parking blocks and split a bag of chips until you were chased off the property by the owner. He pulled on the store door, pressing his back to it and letting you enter first.
"Well, I wasn't going to come here until you started yanking my ears. That's when I knew you were hungry."
Without stopping, you weaved through the store until you reached aisle 3- the snack aisle had become a home to you and Jinyoung when you were growing up. In grade school, you were both fearful of what was beyond the boundaries of your home and school so you indulged in after school snacks at the convenience to talk about the latest happenings in your life. As you aged, it became the place of solace after exams, or the meetup location for last minute plans.
He picked up a package of gummy worms, and shook them in your face. "Do you remember what happened the last time we ate theseeee?" Jinyoung smirked. For a moment, you were taken aback by how much he had grown. In your teens, you and Jinyoung met eye to eye. Now, you felt like you had to look up at him in order to be taken seriously.
You crossed your arms, "Yeah, we ate them in the parking lot and you made me confess who I had a crush on."
"Chan, right?"
You nodded, with a sulk as you reminisced. "That wasn't fair."
"Why? Do you still have a crush on him?"
"I haven't thought about him in so long. You really think I'd have a lingering crush on a guy I haven't seen in years?"
Jinyoung shrugged, and shifted his feet. "You had a huge crush on him, though. You even stared at him like this." He rested his palm to his cheek, letting out a deep sigh while trying to maintain an enamoured expression. You snorted, hitting him on the chest. "You'd write his name all over your notebooks AND you bullied me into giving you one of my new ones." he added.
You let out a belly laugh. "And then I wrote his name all over that one too."
Jinyoung rolled his eyes. "They were premium quality notebooks. My aunt sent me them from the states!"
"You had a kabillion of them. Besides, you pestered me for-like-ever to know who I liked, but you never even told me who you had a crush on." You grabbed the bag of gummy worms from his hand and placed it in your shopping basket. Your attention shifted, as you realized you should be in search of your favourite chocolates. You knew that you were far too old to be eating junk food for dinner, but there was something familiar about being hyped up on food that you knew would rot your insides. Your eyes landed on the top row of the wall, and before you could grab your favourite chocolates, Jinyoung stripped it from the wall and dropped it into the basket. He piled on a bag of sour cream and onion chips, and then you both ventured to the drink refrigerators.
Both of you stared deeply at your drink options. On each level of the fridge, stood several different colourful drinks. If you knew Jinyoung, then you knew he would pick a Coke- it was something he swore by in your younger years. You hummed, mentally deciding between an iced tea or a vitamin water.  You weren't sure why it bothered you when Jinyoung picked up a Sprite, but you tried to hide your dismay. With an ice tea in hand, and a basket full of both of your favourite things, you made your way to the cashier.
At the last moment, Jinyoung placed a bright yellow umbrella on the checkout counter. He looked down at you, surely, “You never know when it’s gonna rain.”
...
The following car ride to your next destination only lasted about 3 minutes before he parked on the side of the road and dragged you down the street, with the plastic bag full of your foods in hand.
"I should've known you were going to bring me here." you said, strolling down the familiar gravel pathway towards your elementary school. All colour in the sky had disappeared now, finding it hard to see anything but the outline of each other and some features.
Both of you settled on the grass field, onlooking the tall school building that was the foundation of your formal years. As soon as you opened the bag of chips, you found yourselves deep in conversation, talking about what life had been for him the last few years. You couldn't help but be in awe when he explained the rush he got when he got on stage, and how he got anxiety when he thought he wasn’t doing his best.  The candidacy of his thoughts drew you in and you were surprised that he trusted you with his secrets.
All these years, you had always wondered what he was up to, if he was living a life far better than the one he left at home.  To everyone else, he was this huge pop star that had travelled the world 3 times over, but to you, he was your best friend who left home at 16. You had seen him through the bad hair phases, the adolescent temper tantrums, the voice cracks, and the questionable fashion choices both your parents had put you in.
He leaned back on his arms as he gazed at the school. "Are you afraid of change?" You were silent for a moment as you thought. "On a scale of 1-10?" you rocked your head back and forth. "It's a 15."
Jinyoung raised his eyebrows. You held your legs to your chest, and looked at him. "Why?"
He opened his mouth, but quickly closed it and looked smugly in the other direction. "Heyyy." you poked him repeatedly. "You can't just ask me that and not tell me why."
He enclosed his hand around your finger, forcing your poking to come to a halt. It felt like he was studying your face. Never in your life had you ever felt like you were under the scope of Jinyoung's gaze. The darkness of the sky acted as a mask, hiding your blushing face.
"It was the last thing I asked you before I left." he admitted. "I asked you that when things were about to change big time for us… I always wondered if you resented me for leaving you behind."
The last day before Jinyoung left to become a full-time trainee, you two snuck on to this very same field. Both of you ran across the grass, picking up dandelions; believing that if you gathered enough and blew on them, that they would fuel your wishes.
“You thought I could resent you?” He nodded. “Well, for starters, I hate your guts.” You replied sarcastically, causing him to look at the ground with embarrassment and your face softened at the sight of it.
“You know what I wished for on all of those dandelions, Jinyoung?”
“Not to fail the math exam.” Even in a soft moment, he couldn’t help but be sly. “No!” You exclaimed.
“Well, you should’ve. You got a 48.” He sensed your killer look on him. “So what’d you wish for?”
You played with your fingers. You thought you’d take this secret to the grave. “I wished that you’d be successful in whatever you chose to do.” His eyes enlarged, alarmed at your confession. “but maybe I should’ve wished for the math thing.”
Jinyoung giggled, inching closer to you so your legs were pressed against each other.
“What did you wish for?” You asked. He smiled with the side of his mouth, shaking his head.
“I wished that I’d always find my way back home.” “Oh goddd.” You gagged. “you’re so corny.”
“What about you, huh? You used your wish on me!” he bellowed, his voice echoing against the school playground.
“Hey, I might just be the reason why you’re famous.” You fought back.
You flipped your phone over, 7:53, the brightness of it only barely illuminating the dark. You thought about what you would be doing at this moment if you weren’t here, if he hadn’t picked you up.  Mmm probably falling asleep to a tv show. Probably dreading tomorrow. Probably not as happy.
"But what did I say? You know… the first time you asked me that question?” You couldn’t even begin to imagine how 16-year-old you answered.
"You said you were excited to see who we were going to become.” The words of your younger self were so hopeful, yet your current self felt hopeless. Your expression sank, and Jinyoung offered a small smile to revive it. He felt guilty having asked you the question in the first place.
You sat in silence for a bit, dwelling on the excitement for life that you once had. Where was it? And how could you get it back?
“I feel like I’ve let myself down. I don’t even know who I am now.”
Jinyoung blinked slowly, watching his childhood best friend crumble. He rested a hand on your shoulder.  "I just look at you, and in so many ways you're the same. I still know what makes you laugh, and the way you say things. I can still pick out your favourite snacks, and know you’re gonna pull my ears when I do something to piss you off.” he yanked on yours softly. "Everything about you feels just how I left you. I feel my youth when I'm with you. But at the same time I’m comforted by how much you’ve changed.”
“I don’t think I’ve changed much.”
“You don’t see it, do you?” You shook your head no. “Do you remember how scared you were to even leave the house when we were kids? Now you live on your own. You never took anything seriously back then, but you’re now one of the hardest working people I know…” his voice softened. “And you let yourself be vulnerable with me when it used to take hours to drag it out of you.” You laid on his shoulder, and he rested his head on top of yours, snuggling closer. “You fear change, yet you’re changing right before your own eyes. And maybe one day, I’ll come back here, and I won’t even be able to recognize who you’ve become.” You sniffled, the idea of Jinyoung not remembering you broke your heart. You held your chest. “But if that day does come, it’ll be okay. Because I know that the person that you’ve become will have it all figured out.  I’ll always be rooting for every single version of yourself even if it doesn’t include me.” You sobbed quietly, interlocking your fingers with his. He held your hand tightly, rubbing his thumb against the back of your hand. For once, there was an action not done out of habit or relic. It was an action evoked just for this moment, and it was a change that you didn’t mind.
Jinyoung held your hand, leading you down a narrow road a few minutes away. The sound of crickets, barking dogs, and distant vehicles could be heard as you stood in the middle of the road of your childhood neighbourhood.
You hadn’t been here since you moved in 2016. You looked up at the large modern house that sat on what used to be two lots. Yours and Jinyoung’s childhood homes were purchased by a wealthy business man and demolished to build the business man’s dream home. You stared at the foreign house that sat on the place of your childhood dreams and frustrations.
Jinyoung placed his hands on your shoulders and stopped you at the exact halfway point between what was once his house and your house. You rubbed your arms as a gust of wind rushed by. Without thinking, Jinyoung slipped off his hoodie and placed it on top of your shoulders.
“I remember racing you down this street.” You piped up, pointing down the end of the road. Jinyoung always won that race. No one was faster than him on this street.
“I remember finding that stray puppy and fighting over who got to keep it.” He responded.
“It should’ve been me.” You bickered. Jinyoung laughed, amused at how you were always one to hold a grudge.
“Do you remember that day when it started raining soooo hard and we had to walk shoulder to shoulder under my umbrella?”
You nodded. “Ya, that was the same day with the gummy worms, you dummy.”
“So do you remember what happened right here?” He pointed at the exact spot you were standing. You racked your head for a memory, but nothing stood out to you clearly. You shook your head no. “We always said bye to one another here...but…?” you trailed off.
He took a step forward, both of you standing directly under the streetlight now. You watched his face light up as he likely played the moment back in his head. “So that day, standing under my umbrella, we were about to go our separate ways. You turned into me.”
He took another step closer, popping open the bright yellow convenience store umbrella and holding it over your heads.
You could see it now. It was drizzling so hard, even your hair wasn’t protected from getting soaked.   You wrapped your hands around the handle, just like how you did back then. Chest to chest, huddled under the umbrella. Jinyoung locked eyes with you, your heart beat faster.
“And you looked at me, and I swear I was going to say everything I wanted to tell you right then and there.” Your mouth opened in shock. “This was the place where I almost told you I loved you.”
You studied the eyes of the boy you watched grow up. He looked scared, but sure. There was no doubt in your mind that Jinyoung meant what he said. He lowered the umbrella, not letting his gaze veer from you.
Your life was just a build up of what if’s and trying to gain the courage to make something of yourself… but you didn’t want that anymore. With your heart beating out of control, you leaned into him, taking the risk and kissing his lips. He wrapped his arms around your waist, deepening the heat of the kiss.
A round of thunder boomed above you, and little by little, raindrops began to pour from the sky.
You and Jinyoung separated to look up at the sky. “I did say, you never know when it’s gonna rain.”
You both ran for the car, shoulder to shoulder, under the umbrella. From your heads to your toes, you were soaked in the rain, but neither of you cared. You silently thanked the world for every bad thing that happened to you today that led to this.
You blinked your eyes awake, surveying the damp clothes strewn across your living room floor, and the heat of the bare body laying next to you on the couch. You stared at your sleepy childhood best friend, a smile spreading across your lips. This was a change you were ready for.

No Strings - Park Jinyoung
♡ Paring:  Jinyoung x reader, Younjae x reader ♡  Genre: fluff, slight angst  ♡ Warnings: mention of friends with benefits relationship, mention of drinking.
Tumblr media
You and Jinyoung had been friends for a very long time. You had met him in high school and always stayed close friends. Your friends with benefits relationship only started a year ago, after one drunken night where the two of you ended up sleeping with each other, the two of you decided on a friends with benefits relationship. The two of you agreed that it would just be that, nothing more. And at that time it sounded like a great idea to you;  you weren’t looking for a relationship but you could still have some fun. Now, a year later, it wasn’t so great anymore. Your feelings for Jinyoung grew into something more than just friendship and you knew that was wrong. But you couldn’t help it.
Seeing Jinyoung with other people made you feel hurt. Like tonight, the two of you were at a party and Jinyoung was currently standing at the bar with another girl, clearly flirting. You know you couldn’t blame him, it wasn’t like he was yours. He was a free man and could flirt with whoever he wanted.
A sigh left your lips as you turned your head away from them. You let you head rest on your hand as you took another sip of your drink. You weren’t in the mood to party anymore, you just wanted to go home already. Another figure took place next to you. “It looks like you’re having the time of your life.” The voice was filled with sarcasm and when you looked up you noticed it was one of Jinyoung’s members speaking to you. You smiled softly at Youngjae. “Is it that noticeable?” Younjae laughed. “Only a little. Why aren’t you dancing?” you glanced back at the bar, to see that Jinyoung was still talking to the girl. “Jinyoung promised to dance but he’s busy I think.” Youngjae followed your gaze and also noticed Jinyoung flirting at the bar. “Well, if he’s too busy to dance with you, can I?” you thought about it for a second, figuring you would do no harm in dancing with one of Jinyoung’s members an agreed.
You and Youngjae had been dancing together for over an hour now. At first you felt guilty and ashamed that you were dancing with someone other than Jinyoung but than you reminded yourself that he wasn’t your boyfriend. And if he could flirt with other women than you could dance with other man. “I’m getting thirsy, let’s grab something to drink!” you yelled over the music to Youngjae. He nodded. “I will get us something, you go and take a seat.” You smiled brightly at him and made your way to your table again.
You noticed Jinyoung sitting there alone, without the girl from the bar. “hey.” You said while taking a seat. “Where were you?” Jinyoung’s stone was cold and made you feel annoyed. “I was dancing with Youngjae. Why?” “Why? Because I was waiting for you, I thought I told you we were gonna dance together once I was back.” You roll your eyes at his words. “Oh, excuse me for not wanting to wait an hour for you to finish flirting with a random girl! I wasn’t gonna waist my night by sitting at this table, so I went to dance with Youngjae! What’s wrong with that!” your voice was louder than you wanted it to be. “I can flirt with whoever I want to flirt!” “Of course you can! But don’t make a problem out of me dancing with Youngjae when you’re too busy flirting to pay attention to me!” you angerly stand up  and get away from the table, running into Youngjae. “Hey, I got our drinks! Are you okay?” you nod, forcing a smile on your face. “Yeah, I am. Just Jinyoung being an ass. Thanks for the drink.” You take the glass out of Youngjae’s hand and take a big sip out of it.
You’re so angry at Jinyoung. Why was it okay for him to flirt with other people but once you danced with someone else he had to make a big deal out of it. You drink out the rest of your drink before looking at Youngjae. “I’m gonna head home.” Youngjae nods. “Do you need a lift? I know you came with Jinyoung?” you shake your head. “I’ll call a cab, go party some more.” Youngjae says goodbye to you before you leave to go outside.
You were about to call a cab when you heard Jinyoung’s voice. “Y/N! were are you going?” you angerly turn around to face him. “Home!” a sigh leaves Jinyoungs lips. “I’ll take you, come on.” You shake your head. “No, I’m calling a cab.” “Don’t be stubborn and let me drive you home.” You know he isn’t gonna give up so you follow him to his car. It’s quiet between the two of you until Jinyoung breaks the silence. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have left you alone and I shouldn’t have gotten mad because you were dancing with Youngjae. But you gotta know I wasn’t flirting with the girl.” You sigh. “It’s fine. Don’t even worry about the flirting thing, it’s not like were together or something. You can flirt with whoever you want to.” A frustrated groan leaves Jinyoung. “I wasn’t flirting with her!” “Stop denying it! You were, I saw it! And it doesn’t matter, you can do whatever you want! You’re a free man.” Jinyoung stops the car and turns to you. “For the last time, I wasn’t flirting. She was and I turned her down.” A confused look makes it way on your face. “Why did you turn her down?” “Because she wasn’t you.” His answer takes you by surprise. “Because she wasn’t me?” he nods. “I know we said no strings attached, that it was only gonna be a friends with benefits relationship but I fell in love with you.” A small smile makes it’s way on your face. “You’re in love with me?” he nods “Yes, I am.” You slowly bring your face closer to his. “I’m also in love with you.” You whisper before bringing your lips to his. The both of you pull apart after a while. “I can’t believe this.” Jinyoung laughs. “Me neither.” You say before pulling him in for another kiss.
