I've been thinking recently that GoFundMe screenshots may be easier to read than Tumblr's fonts, at least for me? (Love feedback on that btw!!) So I'll lead you through his own words on his GoFundMe, and add my own summaries and contextualization🩷

So far from the goal🥺 His campaign is going slowly. The prewar pictures show a comfortable, normal life that was violently ripped from them. Let's help them build it back, they deserve it.

He's 35, like me. He has a wife named Aya and three kids ages 11, 7, and 3. Imagine caring for such young children without adequate shelter from the elements nor everyday supplies.

The genocide stole their shelter, source of income, even extremely basic supplies (food, clean water, hygiene items, medical supplies, blankets, all the things that make life bearable, especially for a family with small children).

They are staying in Gaza and rebuilding their home rather than evacuating. They need our help surviving and hopefully with enough support, thriving.

Ameer especially, the 3-year-old, needs food and care -- his little brain (and all the children's) is still developing!!!!! Let's give those kids hope in the midst of the worst of "man's inhumanity to man."

Reema is the cousin of @mohamedabushaban06 (source). A few days ago, I made an emergency promotion to get Mohammed registered for college abroad here (It's not urgent anymore but he can still use support).

She's a 4th (out of 5) year pharmaceutical student currently studying abroad in Egypt after her school in Gaza was destroyed. Pharmacy school is difficult but she has a high average.

She just fundraised enough to pay her tuition and will start her semester on Sep 21, 2024.

The campaign goal will be raised soon and funds will go towards academic needs and Reema's family back in Palestine.

She needs a new laptop after losing her old one.

The World Food Programme stopped bringing food to Maryam's refugee camp

because it's too dangerous.

$5.50/day covers baby formula,

so even small donations really make a difference. Also,

The baby and the little girl need funds for medical attention.

They also need food, a basket to carry it in, winterization supplies, and evacuation funds.

The flow of money coming in from her GoFundMe needs to increase because the current trickling is not enough for her to even get all her supplies, let alone save up for evacuation --

and they need to get away from the bombing ASAP.

Living with the bombing is giving them PTSD, and they could get blown up at any moment.
