I get that egg panic completely, may or may not have had that happen to me before (except with being nonbinary), it can be a bit scary at first! But it completely pays off in the end :)

Since I am talking a little about my OCs here more and more every day and starting to draw them maybe I should talk a little about what my OC verse is about…

Well, basically it’s about a guy who accidentally gets an alien parasite. (: The guy is just called The Host and the Parasite is named “Dendy” by a parasitologist who works in the same shady lab as The Host! The parasitologist is named Mimi!

The Host is a geologist. As I said, they both work in a shady secret lab. The Host is in love with Mimi, Mimi is in love with Dendy, and Dendy is in love with The Host. They will become the best worst polycule ever one day. 💖

And yes. They’re all gay trans men.

There’s other characters but those three are the principle characters and the ones I’m deeply obsessed with right now. 😌

Quick question if you’re cool with it, how did Dendy get its name? Did someone give it to it, or did it simply choose it for itself?

Mimi gave it its name! :D She’s the first person who finds out about The Host having it, so of course as a parasitologist she had to study how it’s taking over his body… she’s SO fascinated by Dendy and how it operates!

What she finds is the way its main body is growing inside the host and taking over is similar to how a Dendrogaster parasitizes a starfish, and affectionately starts calling it Dendy for short. 🥰 Dendy likes the sound that and adopts the name for itself!

Are there any other characters in parasiteverse besides the main three?

This ask made me realize just how many there are.

Also I need you to forgive me, most of the characters still go by Code Names while I figure out their actual names LOL. The Host is the only one who's name is a title.

First, we have the MOST important character, The Host's cat. She's a calico and she's the most special girl in the whole world. 💖

Bestie, as I call her for now, a lolita fashion enthusiast who The Host was friends with in high school, and reconnects with as adults! She's transfem, so it's the fun situation of Oh We Both Transitioned After High School, I Actually KNOW YOU!!! She becomes his closest friend, a friend of Mimi's, and one of the only people to know about Dendy. (:

In the grand scheme of things, she's one of the most normal characters, and I loooove her I definitely wanna design her next.

The Host also has an older neighbor at his apartment building, a classic abuelita type who looks out for him, seeing as how he lives alone. She watches his cat and treats her like a princess when he works long nights. 😊

Onto Shady Lab Staff.

The two heads and founders of the Shady Lab. They are just normal men I promiiiiise. (:

The Janitor, who was actually the 4th character I came up with, so he has a special place in my heart. I like to call him the Wacky B Plot character. He's constantly trying to romance one of the scientists in the lab, another character I need to work on, but is constantly getting interrupted by some catastrophe of the day.... </3 But don't worry! Lesbian Love Always Wins! (our dear janitor is a lesbian!)

We have another lab coworker, who I call... Not-Pearl. She's nosy, high-strung, the works. She doesn't know a thing about geology though and she doesn't get why anyone would think she does. Not her field!

A recent character I came up with, a supervillain/scientist who works at a sister lab of this Shady Lab's. He's an old trans man who is extremely gnc, he has a loving husband and he is important to me and important for Mimi and The Host to meet. (:

There is a certain antagonist... I won't detail him just yet though...

That's a lot of the relevant characters in Parasiteverse right now, BUT, I find it's important to note that Parasiteverse runs alongside a different OC story of mine in the same universe I need to work more on. I just call it Super Evil Robot.

So sometimes the characters will cross over! The main kid from Super Evil Robot is The Janitor's little cousin, and the titular robot? It's best friends with the kid. (:

I need to draw more awesome mlm art. I need to draw couples that "look" m/f or f/f and be like "these are gay trans men btw 🫶" and everyone goes "woah.... this guy is literally a genius"

If I ever turn Parasiteverse into A Thing it would definitely be a visual novel because that’s the only way I can picture it being told how I would want it to be.

Putting together an inspo folder for how I want to be able to illustrate crowmoth and art that gets the Mood I like for them, and as I start it, making it also a parasiteverse inspo folder because the dna is the exact same.

Funny little note, I do have a self-indulgent DC au in my brain for parasiteverse... Which, really it's just The Host, Dendy, and Mimi living in Gotham and working as scientists there.

I’M FREEEEE I had a great time at both Metrocon and Supercon but I’m EXHAUSTED and I don’t have any new cons until November… I’ll be working on new merch before then and throwing them online little by little because I got a lot of inspo, but for now I SLEEP AND GAME AND READ COMICS AND DRAW MY SILLY THINGS FOR ME!!!

and FINALLY finish the parasiteverse refs and do art fight stuff……
