The final Duel Links tag cup was the DM Cup, and our partner was Weevil Underwood! Teams included Para and Strings, a new team of Rex and Tea, Bandit Keith and Joey, and finally another new team of Yami Yugi and Mai.

Geto killing his parents is a big deal but I really wanna know how his parents treated him. Geto's cruel, extremist, but I don't know if he was at that stage where he could kill his parents if he didn't have some personal reason prior to it. He killed his parents at the very beginning so I'm doubtful he was so into his ideologies to the point he'd set aside any affection he could've held for them for a cause which he had just begun defining(he's 17, experiencing a lot of mental health issues and he's fresh out of killing people that boy was not mentally there enough to have a concrete cause be the reason he killed them).

Was there always some resentment? Maybe his parents didn't understand his powers as a sorcerer, just like the village did with Nanako and Mimiko. I could more easily believe him murdering his parents for no reason other than them not being sorcerers a little later into the game but one of the first things he did was kill his parents.

There's no justification for killing his parents because his main motivator for killing non-sorcerers is how exploited and used he felt, the resentment from watching everyone he loves die for people who don't bother to understand the stresses sorcerers are under. He didn't even wait when it came to his parents, their deaths are spoken of in a way that it's grouped in with the village. So, just speculating here, maybe his parents didn't treat Geto well after he discovered his powers?

I'm only having such difficulty because Geto IS kind in his own fucked up way. After the village murder we've only seen him be kind towards sorcerers and curse-users but STILL. Gojo's judgement on Geto can't be trusted but he did send the 2nd years to help Yuuta and Geto....sorta did leave Maki alive(barely). It's probably easier to kill people you have no connection with. Why didn't Gege show the parent thing? Why was their deaths only spoken of in off-handed lines? Geto's a villain but we don't see him portrayed with the same kinda murder-happiness as say, Mahito. Was it to make Geto more sympathetic? Then the village-killing is enough to show his cruelty.

The paracide feels like shock value for the reader rather than an actual significant event.

Here's the thing, I was initially wary of Gojo because of the "oh he murdered his best friend with his own hands!" thing. But we now know there was so much more going on. We got a visual representation of him killing the village but the PARENTS??? Not even a goddamn silhouette of them.

I NEED TO KNOW

If the parents sucked, he's getting catharsis and feeling even more justified in his stupid mission. If they were good parents and they loved him well, Geto irreparably broke a part of himself that nothing can bring back and sunk himself further into his own darkness.

I wonder...like let's say Nanako and Mimiko for whatever reason grow up and decide Geto's not a good person and they decide killing Geto's the way to go. Would Geto let them? Would he put up a fight? Would he just tell them to reconsider and do no more? Would he wish them luck in whatever purpose they've found?

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : im pretty chill for the most part i think like ive definitely mellowed out a lot over the past few years but. i gotta say it:

formatting. the over-formatting of everything is killing me. i cant read most peoples carrds. i dont even know how they read it, because of how insanely tiny the text is. eye strain colors, hard to see icons, weird fonts... i dont mind a little bit of formatting, naturally, like go girl give us everything, but its getting to the point of being genuinely frustrating that almost every new blog i encounter has me fighting for my life just trying to learn the important info. i have visual and neurological issues please lord im only seven

MUSE PREFERENCES: seconding cam on if the "when someones pulled a muse apart like the spaghettification of a star and then put them back together". its fascinating. i think the fun part about rp is that i get just as invested in my partners character and what they get out of each thread as much as i do mine, so when people sit there and talk about their ideas and meta and really dig into that thing like . PLOTS OR MEMES : I like both! I think memes are good to kick things off regardless, and I dont mind building off of it. I like to plot a lot ooc but more in a loosey-goosey kind of way; i really like to get to know other muns and their characters and also talking is just sort of how i think through things so its very helpful to me. i also just get a lot of ideas because these things live rent free in my head but to me a natural progression is more important than like, sticking to a script.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : i write insanely long replies because i have things wrong with me. theres NEVER any pressure to length match-- a lot of the time im just doing it to establish exposition or setting so the other person finds it easier to work with. just give me something i can work with and we are a ok :D

BEST TIME TO WRITE : it really depends... i typically end up writing in the evening/afternoon because of my schedule. i think the biggest thing is that i work on weekends, so you may only hear from me ooc on those days. im also really trying to fix my sleep schedule.........to varying levels of success. sometimes the thread is too good
