Reunited || Para
Malakai chewed his bottom lip as he made his way to Beau’s room. It wasn’t a far walk from his own, and he hadn’t ever been one to get nervous about anything. And yet the walk felt like a trek of a million miles, and he found his stomach clenching uncharacteristically. So much had happened during his time at the Academy the last time around, and so much time had passed since he’d last seen Beau. Though he’d managed to find the ability to hope within himself, things hadn’t gone well following his graduation with his claim. Their relationship hadn’t ever been anywhere close to perfect, and of course Beau Smythe had known every gory detail. Kai wasn’t certain why, but he felt a level of tension already building between them- tension that had existed since virtually day one of their...Whatever it was they had, and tension they’d acted on more than they’d ever let on. It puzzled Kai how quickly it came back, though he worked to shrug his curiosity off, wanting to focus on what might happen next, when he finally saw Beau Smythe face-to-face once more. Arriving at the dor, he raised his fist to knock, offering a tight-lipped smile when the door finally opened. “Long time no see, Smythe. I told you I wouldn’t be long.” @monsieurbeausmythe

When Oaklynn had made her basket for this year’s auction, she hadn’t known quite what to expect from the night, but she certainly hadn’t been prepared for multiple bidders on her basket. She’d been even less ready for the person who won to be Beau, one of her very favorite people in Auradon to talk to. As soon as the results were final, Oaklynn swung her basket over her arm and skipped off to find her date, all smiles as she approached him. “I thought you were buying me a toaster, not just buying me,” she laughed as she gave him a quick one armed hug, the thought that he might not be as excited about the result as she was never even crossing her mind. “Should we head off to find a spot before all the best ones are taken?”

Wounded || Eden and Beau
Eden moved through the buildings in a different way in hopes this this short cut would get her back to the other side of campus a little more easily. Her day had ended on a fairly good note and she was excited to get back home and relax. Once rounding the corner though, she let out a little gasp at the sight of Beau on the ground. It was clear that he had just been in a fight, and he didn’t look like he had been the winner. “Beau?” She asked with a concerned tone. “Oh my god. Are you okay, dove?”

a touch to light the way {beau & lily}
The best nights, she thinks, were the ones where she couldn't remember anything. Weekends and summer nights were filled with too strong drinks and vision clouded by cigarette smoke and flashing lights and hands of  boys (men) she didn't know. But weekdays are when the nights are long and quiet and when really she should be sleeping. But her brain rattles around her head and when she finally does fall asleep, she wakes up screaming.
It's a man in her dreams (or a beast, she can't quite tell). There are hazy flashes of an attack by a man with a sinister face and she can never quite run fast enough, or scream loud enough, never quite has something solid enough to grab onto when he drags her away. He tells her that she can make it stop. Anything, she'd sob in her dreams, anything at all, please! And her pleas would be met with laughter.
In the waking world, where she remembers all of it, remembers empty laughs and dead eyes and the terror she felt. Lily would roll her eyes. As if. But still, it's enough. it's enough to make her dread going back to sleep and enough to make her dread sitting in the dark and quiet dormitory where her housemates sleep peacefully around her. She tells herself it's only because she isn't even all that tired, no, no, she's not scared. Lily Luna Potter doesn't get scared, thank you very much.
Yet the offer of having someone else stay awake with her was something she wouldn't ever refuse. She's grateful, because despite the common misconception, she really doesn't like to ruin other people's lives. Unless, of course, they deserved it. And Beau certainly didn't, so really, she'd hate to ruin his sleeping schedule. Wrapping her sweater clad arms around her knees, Lily heaved a sigh, eyelashes brushing against her cheeks as her eyes fluttered closed and open again.
