Ok so according to this timeline by @paperowl, Tim is about 41 in season 6. But then this post by @neeterloveschenford says season 6 has jumped to 2023 (not 2022 which the first link implies), which would make him 42. Either way, I think 41-42 is a good guess for Tim’s age in season 6! Also an interesting note, just a few episodes before they confirmed Tim’s age (s4 e9), they tell us Lucy’s age when her mom offers to pay to freeze her eggs: she’s 29 (s4 e9). Looks like she and Tim are exactly 10 years apart.

According to this timeline by @hartz-penny, Lucy & co were rookies in 2019, making it now 4 years since they started the show. The wonderful @hartz-penny also made this relationship timeline to show exactly how long between the time Lucy was a rookie and when she started dating Tim.

Anyway the writers clearly don’t want to manage a timeline so sadly we don’t get to see the massive birthday parties Lucy absolutely would’ve thrown. A true loss for the world 🥲

Back in season 2 Tim said he played high school with Eric Weddle who is now 39 so maybe Tim's not even like 40 yet. Bro when will we know???

Please tell me you noticed the heart monitors and hospital beeps subtly tucked into the background of shots of Eddie trying to sleep. I've seen no one talk about them (and to be fair they did mingle with printer beeps a bit) but it's a GENIUS choice and I love how subtle it is while still being such a huge indicator of what's to come and what Eddie's struggling with.

Oh I ABSOLUTELY noticed. There were some bits with voices as well and I was trying to work through if they were shooting-related or army-related or both. But yeah, the heart monitors (particularly monitors flatlining) were SUCH a pointed choice.

Since the synopsis for 5x17 is out any day now - final predictions for Hero Complex? Things have changed, especially since 5x14 aired, Lucy Donato arc is out, Jonah/Bobby arc is in (I feel like with contrasts to Lucy, Albert, and Eddie - since they're all currently struggling with their roles as 'heroes' and saving people) but what are your thoughts?

I'm expecting Hero Complex to be a mess (affectionate).

This is all educated spec:

There will probably be peak BT + Lucy mess. Buck is going to struggle with this mess that episode.

We'll get a glimpse of Eddie's past and hit the hidden root of some of his traumas/issues.

Bobby and Athena will investigate Jonah/the unknown arsonist, piggy backing off the BT mess, because Taylor is mad at Buck, she'll spill that they're thinking the fire was intentional and the news coverage Jonah wants so bad will be there. This will trigger a reaction.

Probably end on a Chimney/Jonah related cliffhanger because something triggers Jonah to go for his spot on the 118 again.

What's getting you through the 911/other shows hiatus? Sports? Summer shows? Irl life things?

Personally, I am now obsessed with Formula 1. It is my first sport (and I never thought I would ever be a sports fan) and let me tell you it was so left field lol. Would rec Drive to Survive on netflix though - super dramatic but a great overview of the sport in the past few years.

honestly this hiatus hasn't been stressing me much? maybe it's the fact that the season ended with both eddie and buck single and i've been watching the show for a while, but i'm not super bothered by the hiatus. haven't felt the need to gif much or anything. occasionally i've read some fic, but that's pretty much it. i'm sure once they start filming and we start getting more info about s6, i'll get back into it, but for now i'm enjoying the hiatus and just keeping myself occupied.

i've been filling the time with other shows (the boys, stranger things, the bear, rewatching boardwalk empire, etc) and randomly gotten back into destiel fic. i've also been hanging out with friends and family etc.

i actually (??) won't get to watch the s6 premiere live bc i'm going to be traveling in india that week for work! so i'm going to have to rely on some friends to send me the download after the fact 😅

The Rockmond thing literally boils my blood. I thought it was funny because I wasn't attached to anyone and I could just laugh at how insane the situation was and now that I'm in it - this is the WORST. I can't deny that this is supreme entertainment though. What a kickoff to the summer break.

(vaguer than I'd like, for all the pals who haven't watched it) I know some people are disappointed about how it all went down, but the way they made it so VERY CLEAR that Christopher was the reason for both of them to fall in line when it's clear that otherwise Buck would have tried something is insane. They're really utilizing that guardianship and the fact that Buck kinda technically has a kid now and I just... they have to know where this looks like it's heading, and what this looks like in general. It may not have been a love confession (why would it be) but hello? it's still very much a win in terms of the show solidifying their relationship

Idk what anyone is upset about tbh, I feel ridiculously fed right now. I think we’ve been assuming that Buck feels more confident and steady about his place and role in Christopher’s life and the Diaz family/with Eddie post-guardianship reveal but I think this episode really showcased, far more directly than the blackout eps (where we got the sweetness of Buck greeting Christopher at the station the same way Eddie did contrasted with his loneliness going home at the end to an empty apartment) how there’s pretty clearly still a block there for him. Because he can be working side by side with Eddie, they can be making decisions about themselves and their safety and Christopher’s safety together, they can be reacting to things like parents would, and yet Eddie is the one who gets to go home at the end of it all and see Christopher while Buck was once again back in his apartment. And even though Taylor was there, Buck himself was still fairly distant and distracted in the face of her concern and “did he get to see his kid”/“no, he didn’t” feels SO pointed it makes me absolutely insane.

And what it comes down to is that the question of Buck And Christopher can’t be fully answered/resolved until the question of Buck And Eddie is (or at a minimum until they at least scratch the surface of the giant shooting-shaped elephant in the room) so the tension is yet again building higher and higher and I think by the end of 5A it’s going to blow.
